Rayne believed she had it all figured out. Envisioning a future brimming with dreams, Rayne stood at the threshold of her ideal life - college acceptance in hand and a love that whispered promises of forever. But fate, that fickle mistress, wove a different tale.

Tragedy struck like lightning, obliterating the carefully laid path and leaving behind only shattered fragments. The question lingered: how does one move on from someone that promised you forever?

As she tries navigating through agonizing grief and the fractured remnants of her dreams, she discovers that healing lies in unexpected places. The heart once shackled in pain, found itself fluttering to life in his presence.

The walls she built to guard against hurt began to crack. Yet, the haunting question remained: could she truly open her heart again and let go of the past? Nobody wants something that's broken. Or so she thought, until he made her realize that even broken things are beautiful too.

In a world where plans crumble and hearts mend, a journey of discovery unfolds. Rayne's heart, though fractured, learns to beat anew, and "broken" takes on a new meaning...

Perhaps sometimes, the most unexpected love stories are the ones that were destined to unfold from the very beginning.

I LOVED this book! Although I was like, “what the hell”? because this book takes in a whole new story from the first book! The MFC from the first book lives a whole new life UNTIL the twist at the end! I also would love for the side characters to get their own stories as well! I highly recommend this book! This Author is now an auto buy Authir for me!

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would.

Maddox is my new book boyfriend... everyone else back off. hahaha

I am very thankful and honored that the author of this book let me beta-read it.
I finished the first book and then jumped straight into this one.

Jessica has advanced SO MUCH as an author and you can tell by her writing style in Oblivion.
This book captured me instantly, and I never wanted to put the book down.
Unfortunately, life gets in the way of reading all day, every day.

If you think you're coming into this book to mend your broken heart after the first book... think again.
If you were left needing the 2nd book right after finishing the 1st in the series, you're in for a treat.
I am still reeling over the ending, going over possibilities for the next one and thinking of what might happen and what I want to happen.

I'm not good at reviews. I always want to throw spoilers into the mix.
But if you read this, wondering if you should pick Oblivion...
JUST DO IT.

Rayne has went through a horrible traumatic event and is completely depressed. She doesn’t know if she can move on. She finally gets it together enough to make the move to NYC like she and Christian had planned. She and laynie move in to a small apartment and enroll at NYU. She meets Riley and they become friends. She is still struggling but gets a job at a small coffee shop and is trying to get better.
This book is so beautiful. I can not put into words how amazing it is written. I recommend this book 100%! You have to read the road to oblivion first ofcourse. If you like trauma, grief, second chance, close friendships. It is really good! It will leave you completely shocked though. I had a feeling something was going to happen. But wasn’t sure. But it did! Insert Cliff hanger!

This book is now added to one of the few that I wish I could rate an infinite amount of stars.
I had the absolute honor and privilege to have read this as a beta-read. Let me tell you after book 1 (The Road to Oblivion) I was put in a month-long slump. Now book 2 (Oblivion) has also put me in a slump. Book hangover. All the works.
Book 2 jumps right where we left off from book 1. Let me tell you the growth Jessica has done in the last four years is amazing. I have gone through it with book 2, you name it, I grieved, I cried, I had some thigh clenching moments, I laughed, loved, and by the end of it I was bawling my heart out. The raw emotion that everyone has gone through at least once in their lifetime makes you relate so much to Rayne and it just comes from an understanding that "I went through this in reality, and seeing it being written and not just glossed over, makes me feel seen." Jessica wrote characters that became real to me. You fall in love with the characters even more. Can't forget falling in love after a traumatic experience.
I can say that Jessica Voll has become one of the authors I will gladly buy every time she releases and more over if special editions come out. Over the course of book 2 being written, I was so glad I got to witness her starting and finishing book 2. I hope you all fall in love with Oblivion just as much as I have.
Jessica, you did the damn thing. You delivered. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your story and your journey.

I received this book as an ARC and omg!!!! Can I give books more than 5⭐️? Cause I want to for this one!! The roller coaster of emotions I went through on this book. 😭😭 I literally was crying at my doctor’s office reading this and I was only on the first three chapters. My doctor thought something was wrong with me. 🤣

You get to go with Rayne on her healing journey and how to not just find herself again but to better herself and grow. She goes through all the stages of grief after the accident and your heart breaks for her and with her. You get to go with her to NY and meet Maddox who isn’t just there for her but pushes those boundaries and shows her it’s okay to heal. It’s okay for her to feel her feelings.
The amount of love I have for this book is insane. I loved it so much and it kept me invested through the whole thing. And the ending…………….. I. Need. Answers. NOW!!!! Haha I’m already dying for book 3!!! Jessica, you killed it girl!

I am so proud of Jessica for this book. I was also an ARC reader for The Road to Oblivion and her growth and development as a writer is on every page! We’re introduced to a new group of loveable characters and watch the original ones grow and evolve too. I’m still and at her for another character but I feel sure it’ll be worth it at the end of Rayne’s journey.

I had the amazing opportunity to be given this book directly by the author. The first book in this series completely shattered my world, and left me with a 2 month hangover and recurring nightmares due to a personal connection to the characters. It was so well written, drawing emotions I had hardly experienced while reading, and sucking the air out of my lungs, leaving me begging for the breath of fresh air I knew only book 2 could give me.

While reading book 2, Oblivion, I found my friend Rayne to be almost too miserable to handle. If I wasn’t so dedicated to her story, it might have been a cause for me to DNF this book. But friends, I insist you keep reading. A deep and thorough Christian girly, true all the way down into my bones, I found myself struggling to think of Rayne finding happiness anywhere else. But where she finds it, you’ll be happily surprised with.

The new characters introduced into Rayne’s story are nothing less than perfection. They push her to grow, to recover, and heal a heart they didn’t even shatter. They grow on you, healing your own heart alongside hers. But be prepared friends…. This book isn’t all glitz and glam either. Be prepared to go on a rollercoaster of emotions again, for this book will pull you in all directions. You will laugh, cry, scream, and the ending…..

I am left very impatiently waiting for book 3. The need growing stronger the longer I wait.

If I could give this book 10 stars I would! Even though I have finished this book it still has me in a chokehold. It will forever live rent free in my head. I will forever be grateful to have been given the opportunity to arc read this book and it was definitely worth it. Road to oblivion book 1 in the series was amazing, but this book was stunning. The 🌶️🌶️🌶️was definitely five ⭐️ stars as well. Maddox is now on my list of book boyfriends. If you read book one and thought you loved Christian just wait til you meet Maddox. Not only do you get to experience the healing journey of Rayne, but you get to see her mature and gain so much strength and confidence and Maddox is a big part of that. This book had me ugly crying, laughing, and every emotion in between. It had me hooked from page one and kept my attention with every emotion, plot twist, and spicy scene. The ending left us with a huge cliff hanger, and I am dying to know what happens in book 3!! Jessica’s writing style is superb! Chefs kiss!

Ok, literally JUST finished this book. HOLY COW! I have no words for how AMAZING it is! Watching Rayne grow as a woman is both beautiful and painful all in one. She has been through more major life events than most of us will ever go through. I know some folks don't like her in the beginning, but it's grief, and she's 18 at the end of book 1. We all deal with grief differently.
As she heals and grows, it's a beautiful thing. Does she have some moments where you're like, "Rayne, get your shit together," of course! However, that's life. Let's be honest here! 🤣
The new love and adventures are amazing! You definitely will be torn, Team Christian, or Team Maddox... Which team will you be on?
The spice level on this book is 5🌶! The way it's written is hot AF! Plenty of spice!!!

Also, the ending! Holy fuck! That's all I will say.

This book was impossible to put down. I finished it in 2 days over the busy holidays, and I really should not have waited before bed to finish it. The ride this book will take you on is non-stop.

You will follow MC Rayne as she navigates through lost, heartbreak, and finding her new self after a life changing event.

You will meet Maddox, who will knock your socks off. The spice level in this book is "oh la saucy!" He falls deep for our FMC. Will he be able to win her heart over? To help her see how amazing and strong she is?

Just when you think you know where this book is going, you don't!

Again, the author has spun my head around and had me walking around saying, "What!?" After finishing the book. There are so many new questions.

I am looking forward to the next installment to this series.

Brilliant. Jessica Voll is an absolutely brilliant author. This book healed my heart right along with Raynes from the ending of The Road To Oblivion. I felt her pain, her grief, her struggles, her fight, her growth, her healing. This is an epic love story that will throw you for a loop you never saw coming. You’ll be angry, you’ll cry, you’ll scream, you’ll kick your feet and giggle like you’re falling in love yourself. I can not wait to get my hands on book 3 to see how Rayne Davis ends up!

NO SPOILERS REVIEW: WOW. That’s all I can say. Jessica Voll did it again. If you think Road to Oblivion is amazing just wait till Oblivion. Road to Oblivion brought me my love to reading again and when I finish Oblivion I was in tears. This book is absolutely amazing and it will take you through SO many emotions, and if you haven’t read book one yet you need to read it because book 2 is just as good if not better. And the freaking ending!! Holy crap- I am so ready for book 3 it’s not even funny. Jessica Voll is one of my all time favorite authors for a reason and she shows you why in her writings. When I started this this book I could not put it down just like the first one. Congratulations Jess, you did an AMAZING job yet again!

If I could rate this more than 5 stars, I would. This is the second book in the series, but probably my favorite so far. There were so many plot twists throughout, and the ending was so unexpected. I kept trying to swipe on my kindle to read more even though I knew I was at the last page.

I was lucky enough to have been given this book to read by the author and oh my gosh am so grateful!

This is book 2 in the Oblivion series. Book 1 is The Road to Oblivion, and that was our introduction to Rayne Davis. Rayne went through something so traumatic in book 1 and starting book 2 it is all about Rayne’s journey to overcome grief, pain, and guilt; to grow up and take on college in the Big Apple!

The character growth in this book is everything I needed and more. Reading about Rayne growing up and navigating life as a new college student after the trauma we all felt in book one…🤌🏻🤌🏻.

Laynie & Rayne meet some new friends, experience new things, a new spark comes in BOTH of their lives that we get to experience.

Now. The spice from this spark.. standing ovation! There are scenes from this book that will forever live rent free in my head because gaaaaaaawd dayuuuuum! The spice was spicennn.

The last two chapters will have your jaw on the floor! Don’t read ahead. Do not pass go. Read it all the way through and feel it all! 10/10 recommend this series! I cannot wait until book 3!

Spoiler Warning ⚠️
(Seriously… if you haven’t read it yet, turn back now!)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars

I’m still sitting here staring at my Kindle like… how am I supposed to function after that ending?!

This series has completely taken over my brain. Jessica Voll writes with so much emotion that you don’t just read it — you feel every heartbeat, every moment of fear, every tiny shift between the characters.

Book two absolutely wrecked me in the best way. The character growth, the tension, the secrets, the healing… it all hits so deeply. I loved Christian in the first book, but Maddox in this one? He stole the entire show. The way he supports Rayne, the way he loves her, the way their connection grows — it’s everything. Their relationship feels mature, steady, and so full of emotion that I found myself rooting for them with my whole chest.

And that twist at the end? The panic, the fall, the blood, the “He’s awake”… and then Maddox’s POV. I genuinely had to stop and breathe. I need book three more than I need sleep at this point.

Also, finding out Maddox appeared in book one made my heart explode. The foreshadowing, the slow build, the way their paths crossed long before they knew each other — perfection.

This series is unbelievably good for a debut. Beautiful writing, unforgettable characters, and a cliffhanger that left me begging for the next book. I’ll be counting the days until book three.

Oh my word, Jessica has done it again! She has created another amazing story with another startlingly impressive ending!

After losing her boyfriend in a horrendous accident, Rayne moves to NYC to try to heal her shattered soul. What transpired is the heart warming story of survival, healing and finding unconditional love for the second time.

I really enjoyed watching Rayne evolve from this gut wrenching basket case to the girl who is learning to put her life back together again with the help of her circle of close friends. Maddox on the other hand, he scares the living daylights out of me. I don’t know whether I should literarily encourage Rayne and Maddox’s budding relationship or to scream at her to run in the opposite direction. The twists and turns throughout the book are what kept me on the edge of my seat and up reading past my bedtime. But the last paragraph… it is mind blowing. Just when you think the author wouldn’t do it again, Jessica creates another astounding cliffhanger

If you enjoyed Road to Oblivion, you will definitely want to read this book and find out how the story ends…

After reading Book 1 (The Road to Oblivion) and falling in love with these characters, you get to jump into Book 2 (Oblivion) and fall even more in love with them plus some new characters that you end up loving just as much.

Each character goes through immense growth through this book. It takes you on Rayne’s journey of healing, overcoming, and growing. And you go girl!

During this book, I found myself laughing, crying, frustrated, kicking my feet, and clutching pearls. This was such a beautiful story that I had the honor of reading! I am so so excited for book 3 and to see just where this touching story takes us.

Be prepared to pick your jaw up off the floor and enjoy the ride!

Jessica, be proud of what you’ve done with this story. You did that shit, girl. Love love love it!

I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could. The characters have so much depth and the way Jessica Voll continues their story is amazing. My emotions were all over the place as I read and it had me in tears among other things. Seeing how Maddox challenges Rayne knowing how strong she is and what she is capable of. Her letting him into her darkness and fears of Jackson causing more damage. Rayne also brings out a side of Maddox that he didn’t know he was missing.

I knew that Riley wasn’t the one she was going to be with. I knew it was the mystery man she comes across in book one. There was something about his presence in such a short piece of the puzzle at the time.

This is a MUST READ!!!! After The Road to Oblivion of course.

Where do I even begin?! Automatic five star read for me. I have anticipated this book since I finished The Road to Oblivion last year and it did not disappoint one bit. Rayne really grew up from the first book to the second. I loved the familiarity of the returning characters from the first book, and couldn’t get enough of the new characters especially the MMC! Every one of the new characters in Oblivion dug themselves deep into my heart. Be ready because with this book and the playlist that goes along with it will have you feeling all the feels. It is an absolute roller coaster, but I’d wait in line for this ride ANY DAY!! Lastly, I can’t leave without mentioning the spice.. it’s PERFECT!

I was so grateful to be given the opportunity to read this book by the author herself and I’m at a loss for words. The Road to Oblivion absolutely destroyed me for weeks if not months. So I was so excited to finally read Oblivion. And it did not disappoint! Getting to see Rayne finding her way back to life after everything that happened was so amazing. So many emotions in one book and I loved everything about it. But does Jessica Voll really insist on destroying me during the final pages of each book? The way I screamed and gasped. There better be a book 3 on its way to me soon! 😭😫💙
