Zeus, Chevy’s right hand has caused some riff within the crew. As he tries to regain control of his friendship with Chevy and his brother Dionysus, he learns that some deeper issues need to be addressed. With him being known for his grave decisions, Zeus is determined to prove he’s different. Zeus's world is taken by storm when he finds out that the one person he’s to care for has gone missing and the one person he’s known for almost a decade has fallen ill. While trying to manage his chaotic life, he finds himself falling for Sasha. As the two begin brewing into something more than friends, Zeus learns the real reason, she’s around. As the story gets deeper, will some decisions Zeus makes change the wave of the crew, and will love ever become his friend?
Zu has so many layers and i like that we got a chance to enter his world. He dealt with a lot and still does. Trying to protect the ones he love while hurting also. My boy just wants love and for his found family not to break up. There were a lot of emotions in this book and not just from Zu. Everyone was dealing with something and i think the author did a great job with the povs for each character. Giving us as readers to really feel the emotions with each character.
One more book to go and I’m not ready.
Moments: -Dio makes me want to wrap him in my arms. -Zu and Freckles finally stopped playing. -Zu got vulnerable with Chevy because that’s his brother.
Now this book brought ALL the emotions out of me!! Girl I’m flying through this series and they told me I missed a few books! This series is soooo good!!
Another piece of the puzzle unfurled. Multiple POVs continued, which Tatiana does well.
We picked up where Hurricane Harvey made landfall and nearly decimated the relationship between Zu and Foe. We get a glimpse into who Zu is and his story. In the other installments, I can admit that he was not a very likable character. He came off as arrogant, selfish, and inconsiderate. I’m not entirely sure that he beat those allegations in this book 🤣. There were a few things this book didn’t quite address. His gambling and damn near causing Chevy to lose the juice bar was one of them. We did get to see how he ended up as his brother’s guardian and why their relationship was the way it was.
It seems as tho Zu has met his match in the fiery rider, Freckles but I’m not convinced. She is the damaged pretty girl looking for a place to fit in. I’m interested to see what she’s into back in her hometown. Something tells me it’s about to get messy when her crew enters the scene.
Highlights: Heavy Chevy and Zaria’s brief interactions. Freckles riding for Zu’s heart. Chevy’s speech and gift. Yana taking every second to remind everyone that she is pregnant by Diamond. (Ok girl, we know lol) Dio’s crash out.
Listen, bring on Chevy and he bet not die. I’m not playing Tatiana.
Outta all of em, this one hit the hardest. I can feel it about to go all the way left, and I’m not ready for it to end. I’ma sit with this last book for a minute cause whew… I already know it’s finna take me through it.
Zu got my whole heart. Him and Dio really went THROUGH it, and you felt every bit of that pain, loyalty, and love.
I’m not ready to say bye to the crew either. It’s like we grew with them went through the drama, the love, the chaos, all of it. They don’t even feel like characters anymore… that’s family at this point. I’m not ready to let them go at all.
So, I can’t lie, I’m liking this series so far. It has kept me engaged and highly anticipating the next events. I’ve laughed, gotten angry, and yelled “We Only F With Zoo” too many times! The formatting, editing, and flow could definitely use more tweaking because something is terribly off. I see why it’s always women vs. The Zoo because these boyz fall fast and hard. They’ve each finally met their one. I’m looking forward to Chevy’s book. 🧡
Lawd I love the Zoo! My heart is in my ass once again and I’m just like damn what else! Chileeee Zutopia was definitely a wild ride and boy that motorcycle scene 🚬😍😏
I knew there was a story behind Zu I just didn’t expect it to be that deep. Zu just wanted someone to love on and he wasn’t taking the L this time. I’m just glad Freckles unguarded her heart because they both wanted the same thing. I’ve fallen for each member of the Zoo separately!!!!
I’ll admit it—Zu (aka Zeus) used to get on my last nerve with his reckless ways. But this book... It gave me a whole new perspective on him. Zu wasn’t just wild—he was a man thrown into a position he wasn’t ready for, forced to lead when he was still figuring himself out.
His relationship with his little brother, Dionysus, hit different. Dio was a walking storm, battling demons that had their claws in him deep. Some of the decisions he made... Whew. They had my heart racing. Watching Zu struggle to be the big brother Dio needed—even when he didn’t have all the answers himself—was real. These were two Black men navigating life without parents, trying to survive, trying to be better. Did Zu always make the right choices? Absolutely not. But this Zu? He was trying.
Then came Freckles—Sasha. A woman who wasn’t like the others Zu had known. She had her own story, her own struggles, her own power. A tattoo artist, a beast on a bike, and the one person who could see Zeus past his walls. Their chemistry... Undeniable.
This book wasn’t just about the usual street game—it was about growth, redemption, and family. Zu wasn’t perfect, but he was fighting to make things right—with Dio, with Chevy, and with himself. And by the end? The big gorilla wasn’t so tough after all—he was just a man with a heart that had been through it.
Tatiana Timmons took me through some emotions with this one. And now... I’m ready for Chevy’s story. Let’s ride.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one? Whew… when I say it’s a lot, I mean that in the best way possible. The moment everyone finds out about Chevy’s cancer, the entire vibe shifts. You can feel the weight of it not just for Chevy, but for everyone connected to him. Watching each character try to process that news while still dealing with their own personal struggles? It’s messy, it’s real, and it pulls you all the way in. And let’s talk about the chaos for a second… because Zaria getting kidnapped again?! I’m sorry, what?! At this point, it almost feels personal 😭 like why is it always her? But honestly, that’s what makes the story hit. The drama, the loyalty, the way everything keeps unfolding I’m locked in. The storyline as a whole is addictive, and I’m fully invested in this world.
And I already know Chevy’s full story is going to hurt. Like… the kind of hurt you’re not ready for but still can’t wait to experience.
Zoo over everything, always.

Zu-topia was another fantastic addition to the Zoo Boyz! The story tugged at my heartstrings and I loved Freckles for Zeus. Their chemistry was everything! I understood the struggle between Zu and Dio; and communication goes a long way. In the beginning I felt Dio was being impulsive and by the end, I wanted to give him a hug. I feel like there was opportunity to go deeper in the home life of Zu and Dio, and more on Freckles’ childhood. Nonetheless, I have a better understanding of their characters and I’m eager for Zaria and Chevy!
I enjoyed seeing this side of Zeus! I think this book hit on a lot of heavy topics! There were a lot of battles that were fault! Poor Dio was losing it and he just needed the guidance! Zu finally taking accountability yet still addressing things with Harvey that needed to take place! He also was not about to have Sasha play in his face! Baby that ride to Zu-topics was wild and nasty! Lol but my favorite part was the ending! Definitely shedding some tears! Can’t wait for Chevy book!
I’ll confess, I have gave Zu a hard time but now I have nothing but love for him!! He has been through a life where he wasn’t properly loved and it showed. He met his match with Freckles and I thought she was suspect at first. Dio man, he definitely needs to get to New York ASAP!! Zaria we need to keep her tail in a bubble cuz why is something always happening to her, lol This book didn’t disappoint at all and in true Tati fashion she got me ready for Big Chev’s book!!
Tati girl the way you had me in my feelings with this book I’m a gangsta I don’t get emotional but you sista girl pulled it out of me. Between Dio & Zu going to visit their mom, and Chevy & Zu having that heart to heart they almost made a real nigga shed some tears. You wrote the hell out of this book sista keep up the good work!
The back story on Zu and Dio pulled at my heart strings. For Zu to finally find his person made everything he went through much better. I'm happy that Dio is trying to live better by but I just fell to pieces about Chevy. I hope he finds and fights for love. I am excited for the new members.
I need to go to Zu-Topia!!! 🧡 WOW the ending of this book around the Christmas tree had me feeling like I was there with them! 😭
Favorite Quote- “I no longer cared what people thought of me or the snickers and snarls I received. I created my own lane. I promised never let anyone, especially a man, control me.”
So I really loved the Characters and wish the books were longer, but I had to stop at this book because of the repetitiveness. Each book I knew when the turning points would happen, when the ladies get the zoo special, and so forth. Would have been bomb if each book was not set up the same way.
2 stars is me being nice. I read the other books in the series. They weren’t terrible, but this one was so far off the mark. I could not connect with the characters. This felt rushed and choppy. The spicy scenes were meh. It honestly felt thrown together.
I’m happy to get a more introspective look into Zu. I get it, forced to parent and harboring a whole hell of a lot of resentment for it. As much as, Zu works my nerves with his mean antics his love for his brother and best friends warm me up.
I said it once and I’ll say it again. I’m over the women. Freckles was a cute love interest for Zu. She has depth. But I hate that their connection was soooo instalovey and that she is kind of a rebound. Zaria and her constant damsel in distress is so annoying. Like girl are you coming or going cause what you not gonna do is stress Chevy out lol.
Oh and the way I ugly boohoo snot nose cried over the last 20pgs…..Gotdamn
Whewww chile. This one is hands down my favorite story of the series soo far. I literally just finished it & im kind of struggling to put my thoughts into words but this here was a masterpiece. I don’t know why ppl disliked Zeus prior to this book but I can guarantee by the end of this book they will at least understand him more. Zeus went through a lot & had to grow up quickly and basically become a father something he didn’t ask for. I loved the representation of the fact that men long to be loved & chosen just like women. I loved the growth Zeus went through. I loved everything about this. The ending did choke me up a little bit.
I am going to be honest---I wasn’t really feeling Zu in the earlier books, but this one? This one changed everything. Getting to see his backstory, understanding what really shaped him, and watching him navigate all these struggles? Yeah, I get him now, and honestly, he turned into one of my favorite characters.
With the tension already high between him and Chevy, this latest turn of events shakes Zu to his core. The realization that he could lose his best friend before they even have a chance to make things right? That hits different. And as if that wasn’t enough, he’s out here watching one of his own with the woman he thought was his forever—talk about a gut punch.
But Zu doesn’t even have time to dwell on that because his little brother, Dionysus, is out here wildin’ in the streets, making reckless decisions that Zu has to keep cleaning up—without the crew knowing. And then here comes Sasha, aka Freckles, stirring up feelings in him that he doesn’t even want to acknowledge. Zu has been burned before, and putting his heart on the line again? Yeah, he’s resisting with everything in him.
And then—when his brother goes missing? That’s the breaking point. The weight of his past, his loyalty to the crew, and his desperate need to protect what little family he has left? It’s crushing him. I felt every single moment of his struggle. There were points where I really thought it would all be too much for him, that he’d break under all the pressure. He buckled, no doubt—but he never folded.
And just when you think things might settle? Chevy hits them with the hardest slap in the face yet. But of course, there’s no time to even process that because BOOM—another cliffhanger! And this one? This one has me panting at the thought of someone else being hurt.
Chevy’s Promise is up next, and with so many unanswered questions, I already know that one is going to have me on an even bigger rollercoaster.
