I’m on the launch team of this book and let me tell you it’s amazing. I have been saved for over 35 years and have struggled with reading the bible from beginning to end and struggled to do so with my children. This devotional guides one to understand what the bible is about, points out God’s love and plan to restore the communion we lost with him. I love how this devotional gives you key verses/passages of the 66 books to show one God’s plan. I love how the author provides a bible reading plan and guides. This is a great book to use for private, family, or group bible study.

This is a wonderful book filled with key scripture verses and prayers that will focus even the most distracted on God’s Word. If you are a new Christian, someone who finds reading the Bible difficult or unproductive, or someone who doesn’t know where to start when reading the Word of God, this book will be helpful to you.

One of my favorite parts of the book is the prayers included in each reading. They take the Word of God that has just been read and make it personal to the reader/prayer. I wasn’t even one full reading in when this stood out to me: “Help us not to fall prey to the question that still runs rampant: ‘Did God really say?’ Give us a heart to believe Your truth, Your goodness, and Your mercy through Christ Jesus.” How true! So often do we still question if God really said something to us? How often do we continue to question His promises, all these years later?

I believe this book will minister to your heart, mind, and spirit if you will take the time to read it daily. And then dive into your Bible with a fresh perspective on the Word of God and see what else He wants to show you!

This book is incredibly good. Rooted in scripture, it boils down what can sometimes feel like the complexities of the full Bible into a more palatable and easy-to-understand way. This is also a great way for someone to start to fall in love with God's Word. I personally love Melissa's heartfelt and authentic writing voice. I love how this book easily guides you through the main theme of each book of the Bible. It's not overwhelming at all. I found the prayers for each day amazingly written and inspirational. Sometimes it's hard to know what to say when praying, but the prayers here will guide you though. If you're looking for a great way to read through the Bible without getting overwhelmed, this book is for you!
