The book has deepened my understanding around behavioural addictions. I much prefer expression "behavioural addictions"author uses to process addiction I read in other literature which made the subject feel a bit distant. The author takes the reader through different layers to help you understand the patterns, how they come about, when they become problematic but also shows you a path forward. I love the chapter where it speaks about defense mechanism because it offers a chance to be self reflective. Other parts of the book and presentation of different behavioural addictions are also concrete which supports reflection either for the world around you or for yourself. If that is too much for a reader or if one is reading it from a professional point of view, the book is not pushy - there is however enough science and practical examples in the book, that trully give a remarkable insigth to this problematic behaviour that can have a great impact on somebody's life. I love the way author does n0t judge, but she takes difficult subjects, widely present in our society, head on
The book has opened my understanding of realtionships to a whole different level and gave me the opportunity to reflect upon and change some of the patterns, I didn't even realised I was stuck in. The way the author writes is readable yet supported with knowledge and experience. I really enjoyed it.

Our generation have a special privilege to have Sanja Rozman in our lives, as someone with a sincere interest in our mental health, and being a medical doctor and psycotherapist at the same time.
For us, Slovenians, it is even more important to have a Slovenian specialist in that area. In her work - books, videos, consultations, supportive groups, public lectures, etc - she offers not only an explanation for our troubles, but what is more important, she offers us a solution for them. Her latest book Serenity is just one of the kind.
