The plot is smut. If that's not what you are looking for then look elsewhere. The premise is simple - Kevin, the student, has had a crush on Matt, the professor, for years to the point of changing his major in order to land in Matt's class. What makes this story enjoyable is the little character quirks. Kevin is extremely focused in class but a horrible student. Matt is the shy, serious rule following professor who craves to be disciplined. Their dynamic, in and out of the bedroom, make the pages fly by and I kind of wanted to start it again as soon as I finished.

This was a spicy little meatball. Kevin is so intense in his pursuit of Matt, it’s fabulous.

If you're looking for something short and sweet, look no further! This book is just meant to be light and entertaining, while still serving up a huge cup of steam. If you're looking for a plot heavy novel, this is not the book for you. However, it still does serve up just enough plot to keep the story interesting and giving the characters motives.
I loved the dynamics between the main characters, with both of them not realising the other had feelings for them. Matt Parker was able to keep his feelings on the down low but Kevin was like a train and just went full steam ahead into everything.
The age gap plus the dom/sub dynamics were really well placed. Who doesn't love an older man who's a bit more submissive? How can anyone resist that? Get me a man like that, please and thank you.

I was doing SOOO good at not requesting too many ARCs and getting overwhelmed and reading them at the very last minute..and here we are. Here's Gen Blackwell's "Hidden Intentions." It's the third novella in her Quick Bites series.

This novella started off a little awkward. But it quickly turned into so much more. Was it mostly spice? Sure. Was it still so fluffy and perfect and puzzle-pieces-clicking-together? Hell yes.

This series is so short and sweet, a definite "easy" read for between longer novels.

The third book in the series delivers exactly what it promises—a fast-paced, taboo MM romance with intense chemistry and a hint of danger. The power dynamic between the confident, determined student, Kevin, and the conflicted professor, Matthew is electrifying, making every interaction charged with tension. The writing pulls you in from the very first line, and the push-and-pull between the characters keeps the pages turning.







While it’s a short story, it doesn’t skimp on the heat or the emotional stakes. The forbidden aspect makes it even more enticing, though I do wish it were a bit longer to dive deeper into their connection. Still, if you're in the mood for a quick, steamy escape, this one hits the spot!

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the good Professor Dr. Matthew Parker and Finn are brothers.

Would definitely recommend—just be prepared for some serious tension! 🔥

A steamy short. An mm-romance with student-professor, age-gap and kink themes.

Kevin has a crush on his professor, such a serious one that he even changed his major to take the classes. However he is hitting above his weight in terms of being able to pass the class, a failed assignment means the professor is suggesting he drops out and finds another class or retakes over the summer. If that happens the internship Kevin's father has planned will fall apart. It can't happen. Neither can the professor turning him away.

Matt has been attracted to Kevin since the first day the younger man walked into his class. He won't act on it, after all he is the professor and Kevin the student. Plus he has been burned before and refuses to go there again, he has resigned himself to either a single life or a vanilla one at best. But there is something about Kevin, something about his dogged determination and then there is the fact that not only does he discover the professor in a notorious gay bar he simply will not leave the man alone. Maybe one night won't be so bad...

Short and steamy this is the ideal novella for secret (or not so secret) reading under the sheets. Many of its tropes may be considered deviant but it is fiction, it is fun, it is hot so unless they bother you Gen Blackwell is a brilliant writer who knows when to give us character and story and when to switch it all up into steamy, sexy times!

Wow. Chapter 4 still has me in a chokehold.

“How long?”
The question caught me off guard.
He tilted his head, studying me like he already knew the answer and was waiting for me to admit it.
“How long have you wanted me?” Kevin pressed, his tone leaving no room for evasion, and no opportunity to offer anything but the truth.
My throat tightened as my gaze fell to his feet, heat rising up my neck. “Since the first day of class.”

This is a steamy, forbidden romance well done by Gen Blackwell. It has light BDSM elements, so check the content warnings to see if it's right for you.
I like Kevin’s character so much. He knows who he is and what he wants and is not shy about going after what he wants: Professor Parker( Matt). Their attraction and chemistry is hot🔥🔥🔥, I couldn't stop routing for them. Kevin draws Matt out of his shell with his bratty confidence and obsession, making Matt accept the side of himself he'd kept hidden for a long time. I could go on and on about how much these two are perfect for each other.
As with short stories, we don't get a lengthy backstory of the characters, but it doesn't take away from this piece. I didn't feel I was missing anything. Loved it.

I have read the other short stories in this series and this one is my favorite, I think. Kevin noticed Professor Parker as a freshman, but doesn’t get any contact with him until the last semester of his senior year. Kevin is a very cocky, self-assured young man, knowing what he wants and willing to ignore rules to get it. Even though Kevin is sure he is catching tells from the professor to indicate he is interested, the Professor is a rule follower, unwilling to bend, until a chance meeting changes everything, leading to an unforgettable night and possibly more.
The Professor/student trope is well done, and even though Kevin is willing to flaunt the rules, Matt finds a way to meet both of their desires. Realistic characters facing a situation which probably comes up on every college campus at one time or another, with a creative solution. A quick spicy read with a satisfying conclusion.

Kevin & Matt (Professor Parker)
This was an interesting short little read. Very hot, for sure. I love a good short story sometimes, but these guys felt like they could have used just a little bit more, even though it's the longest of the 3 stories in this series.
Kevin was definitely very determined and pushy with Matt, but Matt let it all happen with very little resistance in the end. I was kind of surprised with the ending, or at least with how it was laid out. Still an HEA, but a very low-key one for the most part.

Desires of the heart don't always follow the rules or fit into convenient boxes as is evidenced in this story. Professor Matt Parker has rules, he follows the rules, until Kevin Harding shows up in his class. Kevin is in his final year and has taken a chance that he would be placed in Matt's class. He's watched Matt for years and he's just the type he wants. When an opportunity arises Kevin takes it and now they just need to find a way to make it work and stay within the rules.

Well done age-gap erotic romance. I loved every part of this story from start to finish. What I loved most was how Kevin and Matt balance each other. The plot, pacing, character development and intimate scenes were on point👌
Kevin is obsessed with his professor and would do anything to have him, even change his major just so he could get Professor Parker to notice him. Then an opportunity presents itself and Kevin grabs it to make his final move.
This was a short and sweet story packed with hot steam.

Hidden Intentions, book three in Gen Blackwell's Quick Bite series, is one hot and steamy short story. It's a quick read, but boy was it jammed full. Of story. And tropes. Kevin Harding is a dom, Matt Parker is a sub.

So professor/ student, older sub/younger dom. Forbidden relationship. Nice and juicy tropes. Not total smut. But close. The fan your face, clutch your pearls and watch your kindle melt type of spice.

Kevin has a crush on his professor, he's been daydreaming about him during lectures and now he's failing the class. On a mission to get a second chance at the paper his grade depends on he finds his professor, Matt in his room.

Matt is attracted to his student, he encourages him to drop the class while he still can but Kevin is persistent. When they both end up in the same gay bar Matt gives into temptation.

I really enjoyable read, consenting adults, taboo professor/student relationship and a few steamy scenes.

Super hot!
Okay is this forbidden in some ways? Of course. you’ve got a professor who holds power over a student, but Kevin was not going to lose his man. In a lot of ways Kevin held the power over the professor. The passion between these two is just epic. Soooo hot Professor Matt had a certain kink that Kevin was only to happy to use. I’ve got to take my hat off to the author, I could not put this book down. I was gripped and I cannot wait to read more from Gen Blackwell.

This was such a hot short read—exactly what I was in the mood for. The tension between the student and the professor was intense in the best way. I loved the confidence and boldness of the narrator, and the slow unraveling of Professor Parker’s control made it even better.

It’s quick, it’s dirty, and it totally delivers. Definitely a great pick when you’re craving something sexy and fast. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!.

This was short and sweet and packed a punch just the way I like it. I enjoyed the age gap and the relationship dynamics as they changed , grew and quickly heated up. Kevin was a persistent young man , that knew what and who he wanted when he saw him. Matt was only human but I appreciated that he had morales, scruples,, and rules to live by. Short & Spicy. Kevin is obsessed with his Professor, Matt Parker. Kevin fails his mid-term & goes to Professor Parker about getting a chance to make up the test. Professor refuses & hands him a get out of class card. Incensed that he would do that Kevin goes to meet a hook-up where he ends up finding the Professor there instead. For such a short story it was amazing.

I didn't expect much from this but there actually was a storyline and even a little bit relationship development.

Kevin and Matthew had really good chemistry. It was nice that the student was the top for a change which made it for me even hotter.

I definitely would recommend reading it if you just want a hot and short read with no real complications.

The chemistry between Matt and Kevin is explosive. I sometimes felt like I didn't really like Kevin's character but I eventually learned to appreciate him. I think I identified more with Matt's character and like how the story ended. It was a quick, and easy read which I would recommend if you're into MM, D/s type stories.

For two years Kevin pursued him and Matt never noticed him until all of a sudden, he does and slips up and lets Kevin see - he wants to be dominated. Kevin's crush on his professor was so much that he switched majors so he could be in professor Parker class.
Without initially knowing that the professor was just as obsessed with him as he was with the professor.

Ethics Aside, This One’s Filthy Hot

Kevin has had the hots for Professor Parker since he started university; now that he’s in Matt Parker’s class, he wants it all the more. Oh, the tension between these two was delicious, I loved how Matt tried so hard to resist Kevin, making his capitulation all the more delightful. A wonderful quick read.
