This should have been a 5 rating but the author gave up on this book. I read this book over a year ago and I still think about this series everyday. I was obsessed with this book in the beginning. I loved the plot and the characters. I watch the authors Facebook for updates on the next chapter. However half way through the book you can tell the author just stopped caring about the story. The last 50% of the book was rushed and ending is garbage. Then the author started the next book in series following the FMC sister and she has already given up on that book.
My hope is the the author will come back to this series and rewrite the second half of the book to close up all the loose ends. Maybe it would help if she focused on one book at a time instead of trying to write 3 separate books all at the same time.
Despite the somewhat lame title of the story, and the beginning which I thought I’d just read a few chapters then stop, I became completely absorbed in this story and read all 1,014 chapters.
Definitely some grammatical and pacing issues, and some loose threads, but mostly I was impressed!
This series of books have been amazing! I’ve been reading for days at every opportunity. I wish the books were in audible form. I was totally immersed in each characters. My emotions and imagination running to and fro to glean every word. It’s been a while since I’ve been so captivated by each characters. I’m left wanting more of their story. Well done
the first set of chapters hooked me. But as the book continued the main character just lost me. It wasn’t until the story switched to focus on the other characters (cousins and brother) did it let me finish. Overall ok read.
