I was surprised by this book, the thriller to spice ratio was pretty good! Was it the spiciest book in the world, no but I think it was spicer than you would expect to read from a girl thats in HS. I will admit, I was a little thrown off because it was never stated how old Lyric is, and we know that Knox is a Senior in College so the unknown age of consent niggles at me a bit.
I am here for any and all masked men books though, and this book definitely fits the bill. Add in the touch her and die trope along with a fierce FMC, and I am SOLD! The mystery kept me guessing, and Lyric's antics in obtaining the information that she needed always kept me on my toes. I can honestly say I have 0 clue who the killer is...so hoping more get reveled in the next book.
The ending wasnt really a "cliffhanger" in my opinion, but does set up nicely for the next book. I am hoping that we get to see more of Knox and Lyric even though the next book isnt solely about them, because I really want to know if she actually pursues her dream or does she just put it off for a boy 🤔

Knox was a fun, sexy and thrilling read. He is an instant add to my imaginary harem. The spice was SPICY. The storyline was riveting and I loved every minute of it. The intrigue, the suspense, the emotional toil. I felt it all ❤️

Such an amazing read. At first I was like Lyric, is it really that important that you investigate these crimes, you’re putting yourself in mad danger. Her tension with Knox was smoldering and I loved every single interaction they had with each other. It was so cute how flustered Knox was by Lyric and his feelings for her. Really loved how possessive and protective he was of her. It was really nice how they both helped each other to explore new sides of themselves. I thought the way they helped each other to investigate the crimes ended up being great and helped them get closer. The perpetrators were a pretty big surprise and I loved the way Knox and his brothers handled it. The spice was also extremely hot and I loved both sides of Knox. I’m excited to read the rest of the series

I can't find the words to even describe this book. I fell in love with Knox to the point of obsession. The way Erica Jade does his character build is top tier "chef's kiss" and it has made me want more of him. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves dark romance. The suspense of not knowing if Lyric had to watch her back around him was all consuming. I do wish we could have seen a little more of his darker side but overall it is a massive 10000000000000/10.

Lyric, the FMC, is an amateur reporter and high school student, her father is the sheriff of Dark Harbor. Knox, Callum, Ryker, and Maddox, the MMCs, are wealthy college students. Knox and Ryker are brothers and close friends with Callum and Maddox, whom are also brothers. Cora is the sassy, coffee addict of a friend to Lyric, and helps with photographing their investigations.
The story centers around the girls investigating a group of local murders, while the guys are acting pretty shady, but we learn why. There's suspicions, tension, spicy scenes, kidnapping, masked men, murder, crime scenes.. it has it all.
I wasn't ready for it to end yet. I wanted more.

This was my first book by this author and I adored the book. Knox is the perfect book boyfriend to add to your list. Lyric is strong and smart, she gives Knox a run for his money!!! Add this to your TBR if you like being stalked & chased through the woods by a masked man grab this book!!! The Dark Harbor world is well written. The smut is smutting. Check the triggers & happy reading

I loved how the FMC was very no nonsense, wont back down no matter who tells her to. It was also not what I expected. I didn't predict what would happen next or even the ending.

This book was so good! The thrills, the spice, the twists, it has it all. I really enjoyed this book. Knox was definitely a dirty mouthed surprise. Masked men, touch her and 💀. OTT possessiveness. I love how Lyric does what she feels she needs to do no matter what anyone says. There is suspense and intense moments. Yes there is spice too. I’m excited to see where Erica take us in this series. ( 🥵 I need Maddox please )

This was a fun read that kept me on my toes. When I thought I knew who the murderer was it turned out not to be them at all. I love that Knox knew who he wanted and went after her and didnt let his family discourage him. I just loved Knox! The over the top possessiveness will do it for me every time.
I enjoyed it and hope the we get books on the rest of Knox's brothers because I just know they have a story.

This book was so intriguing, it was hard to put down.
A girl with a dream to become a journalist and tends to meddle in the stuff going down in their town. Her father is the sheriff and has told her many of times to stop going to the crime scenes because something could end up happening to her and/or she could tamper with evidence, but it seems like it goes in one ear and out the other.
Knox Truett and his friends seem to also be trying to find out what is going on and if their fathers are involved with what's happening. But when little miss nosey body enters the scene and he finds her at one of the spots where a crime happened, he is determined to sway her away because it's dangerous and doesn't want anything to happen to her. At first it seemed like he was bothered by her, but then he realized how smart she was and how good she was at this job and decided to join forces with her in trying to investigate the crimes.
But is it a smart move for them to become an alliance or should have they just done their own investigation on their own?
I was consumed with this story and I can't wait to keep reading this series and see what other shenanigans all these guys will be involved in!

This is my first book by Erica Jade and I enjoyed it. I was surprised with the twists and love Knox and his Filthy mouth. Lyric is the perfect FMC for him. She is sassy, smart, independent and keeps him on his toes. It is full of suspense and mystery. I can’t wait to find out what dark and disturbing things happen in the men of dark harbor series

The perfect blend of thriller and spice, the story was captivating and has left me eager for more of the series.
Loved the sassy attitude of the FMC who never backed down from any person or challenge and enjoyed the growth that she brought out of the MMC.
Plenty of unexpected twists to keep you gripped in the story and ends with a cliffhanger that leaves anticipation for the next book.
