If you have read Guarded Rebellion, they you have met Irina Petrov, 23, daughter of another mafia boss, spy at compass for her father, protector of her younger teenaged brother, Maxim, whom is deaf.
Viktor Baranov, 39, related to the Baranov Boss by blood, cousin to Eva Baranov (Guarded Rebellion). His job for his family is to run the ‘brothels’ underground (illegally), he’s actually hating the job since he’s been doing it for over 20 years and wants a change, and he will. Viktor Baranov will be the new Professor Viktor Remi, at his cousin’s old college to spy on Irina and what’s happening on the college campus.
Will Viktor resist temptation of Irina? Will Eva get more of a surprise what her father did to cause her mother to leave? Will Irina finally find where she belongs and away from her abusive father???

Viktor Baranov, a mafia soldier returns to a college campus as a professor, to keep an eye on Irina Petrov, and her family’s business. Irina uses college as a way to escape from her mafia boss father, but her father has her there to spy on the other mafia organizations on campus. Irina has plans to “handle” her father once and for all, but she is waiting for the right time to execute her plans. When she sees and falls for a “normal” college professor, she thinks she has hit the jackpot. Just wait until she finds out who he really is. In fact, wait until you, as the reader finds out who Maxim Petrov really is.
So many twists and turns. The engaging storyline and hot scenes seem to fit the story, and are not for gratuitous purposes.
This book can be a stand alone but also follows the storyline about Eve and Lev. I love how these characters intertwine with Irina and Viktor. I sense book 3 is in the works, and I cannot wait!!.

The book blurb is ridiculous: "Power flows through my veins like ice." The writing is mostly narration and inner monologues. The plot is silly and full of holes; there's nothing remarkable here. Like the 1st book, the basic premise of the two daughters spying on their families' drug business on campus is silly, especially because the big strong Mafia men can't seem to grasp that women could be used as spies. I'm surprised Eva didn't tell her father how Irina helped her escape (previous book although I didn't finish it); Lev certainly knows. Surely Eva knows who Irina is, and vice versa. Viktor is surprised at Irina's 'ice princess mask'. Obviously he doesn't have any experience with Mafia princesses and how they have to live to survive. The other guys tease him about why he hasn't seduced Irina already to get her to talk (so dumb). Irina's father can't seem to grasp that Irina hasn't found out any secrets about the drug business with her time on campus. He's abusive and mad that she hasn't noticed there aren't more Ilyin men on campus. Really, how does she know who they all are? Mafia men hanging around campus must just stand out. I hoped for something more; so far am bored. I skimmed chapters just to get to the end. This will be my last book by this author.

I loved reading this book, I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I loved the storyline and it was well constructed and had many angles to it. It was not a straightforward bratva book. There was no way you could guess the next move of any of the characters in play. The book was definitely well written and I enjoyed reading about all the characters, the main characters were amazing Irina, bless her. She had it rough from her Dad and he was getting worse. Irina just wanted to live in peace. Then there was Viktor, a man with many talents. I enjoyed the connection they made with each other and how it grew slowly. It made such a difference to Vitkor's life, and Irina's. I don't think either of them saw it coming, but it made such a good read. What a great twist at the end, it didn't even cross my mind, I loved it. Highly recommend.

Viktor and Irina. Shes in college. Shes in his class. Hes undercover from a rival family. Sent to spy on her and bring her family down before they can bring his family down. Hes meant to break her but she just might break him and they could start a war. He may be spying on her but she has to spy on her own father to protect her and her brother. There just may be more to the story than Viktor realizes. Shes caught in the middle of her fathers mafia chaos. Theres great chemistry between the two but she trys to ignore it as much as possible. And you wont believe what happens in the end. Such a great read.
All the criminal havoc Action suspense danger betrayl secrets lies and so much more. A dark and dangerously delicious romance you wont want to put down.

Good clean Mafia fun!

So, despite everything, this was a surprisingly lighthearted take on a Mafia story. It seemed more like a Feydeau farce at some points, with all the misdirections, assumed identities, betrayal & lust. One thing that really irritated me was the lapses in Irina's name; she was repeatedly called "Irene" towards the end of the book. Is it really too much to ask that whoever compiled the ebook should at least get the name of the heroine right?

Aside from that niggle, this is entertaining enough for an undemanding read. Wildly improbable & daft at times but if you like Mafia-lite stories with only a modicum of violence, then this could be the book for you.

I absolutely loved reading this book I couldn't get enough I couldn't put this book down with all the action, twist and turns, suspense, danger, violence, torture, anger, betrayal, secrets, lies, Bratva, age gap, brooding men, dark punishment, page turner, some sexual desires and many more emotions throughout. Irina was getting to know Viktor the emotions they go through together.

In this story, Viktor returns to the family and ends up at the college undercover and has the job to get close to Irina. But instead of just a job Viktor falls for Irina. But of course things are never quite as they seem and there are some surprises and drama to keep things interesting as these two fall for each other. A bit steamy, fun characters, and lots of mafia trouble. More lighter in story then the first one but I thought it was fun to read.

Viktor aka Vik was sent undercover as a professor to try and get close to Irina. Him being from a rival family he had to be careful but needed her to let her guard down and share info on her dad. He never thought he'd actually fall for her but he did. Can we talk about the plot twist with her brother 😲. I really hope that the next book will be Rurik and Kelly.

Irina is a mafia princess and Viktor is a soldier for a rival family. He is placed undercover to get close to her. But he can't control the passion she ignites within then both. Add in her father and another warring family and the action is almost as good as the steam.
