Love Brothers #1

Love Garage

Rate this book
A Family Saga with humor, heat and heart--not to mention beer, bourbon and basketball!

Antony Love is the quintessential responsible oldest brother of a boisterous, Italian/Irish family, placed in charge at a young age by his parents who are busy running the family business. He manages his siblings with a fair but iron hand, until his life is shattered by personal tragedy leaving him the shell of the man he once was.

When outspoken matriarch Lindsay Halloran Love becomes ill, the youngest brother Aiden shows up at Antony's garage, having dropped out of school (again), needing work and a place to crash. Antony provides both, with three caveats: "Don't smoke in my truck, don't be late for work, and don't mess with my girlfriend."

But Aiden Love, budding novelist, gets one glimpse of Rosalee Norris, young widow of Antony's lifelong best friend and all bets are off.

Brothers, Beer, Bluegrass, and oh so much Angst!
This is a disaster in the making, Aiden Love. And you're in the middle of it. Best get the hell out now.
So I'll admit that I had an odd reason for reading this book. I met the author on Twitter and it turned out that we have quite a bit in common. We both have connections to the Craft Beer industry, and we both graduated from the University of Louisville - Go Cards! Her series set here in Kentucky, not far from where I currently live in Louisville, and the Love family own and operate their own Brewery and pub.

I knew before starting this book that there was going to be a heaping helping of angst, so I pulled on my big-girl panties and dove in!

The Love family is tight-knit with loving parents and five grown children - four brothers and a sister. Each sibling took their own paths in life, but none strayed so far away from their roots as Aiden, the youngest boy and the focus of this book.

He is a struggling author who left home for college and didn't look back. His mother's failing health was the only cause dire enough to draw him back into the small town in Kentucky he was so determined to leave behind.

This book really layered on a nice atmosphere to use as a backdrop to the story. There were generous amounts of southern charm, nosey small-town gossip, and all the iced-tea gatherings you'd expect from a Contemporary southern Romance.

There was a huge cast of characters: The wildly diverse Love Brothers, their hard-nosed father, their charming mother, various hookups, children, and ALL of them were proficient in one thing: Making poor decisions.

Every family had its own share of dysfunction, but the Loves really cornered the market on it.
I mean it. This was the kind of book you shouldn't read in public for the fact that yelling at the characters is completely necessary... Even if they don't listen to your advice... Damn fictional characters ;)

But let's face it...
Bad decisions make for entertaining fiction!

Let's go ahead and address the main concern for many readers: Cheating.

I waffled about this particular issue because none of these characters are saints, they're all hugely flawed... So I could feel particularly sorry for anyone. Unfortunately, I couldn't really root for anyone either. At some point I became so exasperated by everyone's behavior that I was thinking "Fuck it! You all deserve each other!" but by that time I was so ridiculously sucked into their drama, that I couldn't stop turning pages.

Has Anthony, the moody, self-declared bachelor, now betrothed to his dead best friend's widow, fallen for the pretty preacher-lady therapist? Now? Dear Jesus, what a mess.
The characters changed partners more than square dancers!

It's like a well-written modern southern Soap Opera where all the characters have abs and drink craft beer. There's something to be said for the level of emotion going into this story. You'll be swallowing down a knot in your throat at some point, I guarantee it.

You have to love heaping helpings of angst to enjoy this story...
You have to not be completely offended about cheating...
You have to enjoy sexy southern men...
And you'll probably need a drink before everything is said and done ;)

3.5 Rowdy Brothers and Their Women Stars * * * 1/2

Tight Knit Families... ya got to love them... but with the closeness comes all the family stuff... who is the top dog... who is the baby of the family...who is the favorite...all of these things come into play and when you have 4 strapping, hunky, stubborn in their own right men as brothers with a sister and parents who rule the roost... then you have the basis for the Love Brothers and their stories.

It is based out of Kentucky and in an area which was a small town and now developed into a suburb of Lexington. This family has the auto shop, beer brewery and pub. They have been there, raised these boys there and now they are full grown men. In the opening story, Aiden the younger brother is returning home feeling like he will be put through the ringer... He left; declaring he wanted to be a writer and his book someday will be published... Well, 2 degrees later and a masters program not completed... his book is written... just not well loved by his professors...lost and defeated... he is back to lick his wounds and figure things out.

He has to suck it up and allow his oldest brother Antony to put him through the grovel wringer... as he needs a job and place to live... During his waiting for the verdict, Rosalee comes to the shop. Aiden remembers her being married to Antony's buddy. Her son runs out of the car and straight into Aiden's arms. Little Jeff takes to him... and while he is holding Jeff... Antony is talking softly to Rosalee...Aiden wonders..are they a thing... wasn't she married to Antony's best friend...Turns out she was, and he passed away while in the service...Antony is looking out for her... being there, helping...at least that is what he says...

Rosalee looks at Aiden...He to her... and there is something...both feel it... But there is a Huge But...Because Antony is what she needs for her son...he is the brother she should be matched with... and Aiden is the player... hooking up with many... and it started during high school and hasn't seemed to stop... so both should be off limits to each other....

This new family saga has rich character development and style. You are part of their basketball games, pool bbq's and holiday parties. You are also part of all the brothers squaring off where fighting it out happens a lot. The swearing jar gets filled regularly by this bunch.... and the glue which holds them all together is their amazing mother... who is battling with all her own stubborn will to defeat an illness which keeps coming back.

This does have cheating and a love triangle as its focus. Things end well, however it should be noted.

It is not easy to draw readers in and have them become interested about a family with so many pieces... with a puzzle to put together and somehow have it be complete with HEA. Ms. Crowe works her magic and a series is born. There will be more about this family and all the real issues a family works through.

I was one of the lucky ones who got to read this early in exchange for an honest review....here's my thoughts!

So the story is by one of my top 5 authors. Liz writes male povs like no other and I always have to remind myself that a lady is writing. She also writes strong family tales of love, loyalty and laughter with a touch of sadness and family feuds for good measure. Strong, flawed and depth of characters are also her forte.

Ok so enough about Liz's awesomeness. I love love me a dialogue heavy book and hers are great for that. This one did not disappoint. I enjoyed the southern vibe very much. Her characters tend to grab you by the short and curlys from the get go and Aiden did for me. Even though he's a naughty boy, you wear his Team Aiden t shirt with pride. The Love scenes are saucy (pun intended), being that they are half Italian (I am also Italian) obviously they would be.

Was it unputdownable? Yes, I work and have a 2 yr old boy (not unlike the rumbustious Love boys specifically Dom) and housework to do but I managed to finish in two evenings of hardcore sessions as I just wanted to know how it was going to pan out.

It ended with a twisty HEA that sometimes you just need to have in life. Unlike some of Liz's other books but I enjoyed that. The book I read before this was a super dark read so I needed heartwarming and lighthearted.

The question on my lips and what I look for in reviews is...was it worth my time and pennies? Even though I had it free, yes I absolutely would pay and it was worth every minute of my time to escape somewhere in Kentucky for a bit. I will buy the rest of the series and hope that the girls in the Love family all get a book too. I've bought a lot of Crowe books and never wanted to punch myself for wasting money. Most of her stories stay in my head daily even after 2 years since having read them. She gets regular emails as to when and why her characters appear in my warped brain. This one will be no different.

If you like alpha cheeky males and love triangles and family, this book is for you.

Love’s Garage is the story of the Love family. There’s a mama that is treasured more than life who is also terminally ill, a daddy that is revered and feared by his children, four strong alpha athletic sons, one daughter and a granddaughter. This family lives in Kentucky and loves basketball, beer and bourbon. This family, just like every family in America, fight. There is an intensity to both the loving and the fighting that can only portrayed in small town America depicted by Liz Crowe. Just like Crowe’s other works, I have a hard time remembering that this is a work of FICTION. These characters are now so embedded in my head that I want to pick up the phone and talk to Mama Love and see how she’s doing, then slap Aiden upside the head and say get a clue!

This book twists and turns and whacks you upside the head. No one loved the Liz Crowe Stewart Realty more than me, however, not all the characters resonated with me like the characters of Love’s Garage. I need to know more about every single character in this book. I really like/love every one of them which is rare for me. The men are opinionated, the women strong and both do so without being weak or whiny. No one tells a story like Liz Crowe and this story of the Love Family is a true treasure to be savored.

When Aiden Love finds out his mother is sick, her returns home despite not having the welcome he wished he had. Aiden knows that his family has lost patience with his lack of focus when it comes to his writing career, but he can't seem to get it right. When he sees longtime family friend Rosalee Norris though. something shifts.

Rosalee is his brothers girl, she is everything that Aiden wants but can't have. Rosalee though finds she has strong feelings for Aiden, but what about Antony? As the Love family goes through it's ups and downs, both Rosalee and Aiden are wondering if they both can be happy with the choices they are facing.

Exciting first book in series. This was a complex story, there were several twists and turns I was not expecting. Initially I wasn't sure if I would like Aiden, but he grows on you the more you get to know him. You are rooting for every character in the book, look forward to more in series.

’Sexy and honest storytelling with an injection of real-life drama that kept me entertained from the first to the final page.’ Kelly, Perusing Princesses

It’s official; I want the Love family to adopt me. All that testosterone makes for one exciting read, even though at the heart lies a complicated Love triangle/square that unfolds gradually throughout the story.

Lindsay and Anton Love were high school sweethearts. With strong Italian/Irish roots, their commitment to their large family of 5 siblings; 4 Boys and a Daughter, is notorious, and it is no secret that while Lindsay is the matriarch, heart and soul of the family, Anton is the enforcer. With four boys, there have been a few scrapes, some broken hearts and more than a dollar in the swear jar or two, but overall, the Love family are united.

Aiden is the only Brother that left the family unit to pursue a career in writing, however, the journey has been arduous and is still far from over. When he comes home to the news that their Mother is battling stage 4 cancer, the Brothers come together once more to give aid and support.

Anthony is the oldest and a successful mechanic, his garage not only offers a means of employment for Aiden on his return, but Anthony, although begrudgingly, offers him a room at his apartment.

Rosalee is the wife of Anthony’s best friend, who unfortunately passed while on tour in Afghanistan. With a young four-year-old son who is a complete whirlwind, she leans on her good friend Anthony for advice and support.

Anthony is still grieving over the loss of his ex-wife many years past, even alienating himself from his 17-year-old Daughter. In a nutshell, Anthony is scared of commitment, never allowing himself to move on… that is, until now.

Rosalee loves Anthony and knows he would be the perfect provider, for her and her son. But it all changes when Aiden comes back into town.

Aiden is enamoured by Rosalee. The self-confessed playboy has hit stalemate, and although he loves his Brother dearly, Rosalee and her son, Jeffrey is everything he has ever wanted, and sometimes you have to fight for your future, consequences be damned…

*

Although this is a triangle, I didn’t feel like the affection was reciprocated as it should have been between Anthony and Rosalee, so it made their indiscretions palatable. Plus, without giving anything else away, their is a wicked little twist that makes this story unlike other ‘cheating’ novels I’ve read. Whereas one always gets hurt, the events that unfold here are quite the opposite, so those readers who are against the whole ‘infidelity’ angle may want to give this one a go.

My only gripe is the ending seemed a little far-fetched, even though it worked in this particular instance, I would have liked to have seen a longer fall-out. I guess this family are unconventional in the sense that they can be killing each-other one minute and hugging and joking around the next over beer and a game of basketball. I guess the saying, ‘boys will be boys’ works very well in this instance.

Liz Crowe is a fantastic writer, and I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

For now, this princess is definitely #TeamAiden <3 ;)

Wow! Liz Crowe is a genius when it comes to writing fiction! Contemporary romance with drama and humor, she has become one of my favorite Authors :)... I was one of the lucky ones chosen to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review :) ... This awesome, new, 5 Star Must Read story is soooo different from the other books (like the Stewart Realty series) I've read by this Author! ... In this new series, Ms. Crowe is reaching out to readers of different genres who will love the fact it has something for everyone :) ... Real every day people with flaws & common problems, a big, rowdy, loyal, loving family that works hard and plays hard :)... This first book focuses on 2 of the 4 brothers with their ups and downs in relationships and between the 2 of them... The only sister & 2 other brothers make brief appearances for now... Add into the mix the antics of 2 kids, one being a normal little boy and the other being a typical teenager and you get lots of new plots for future books in this series :) ... There are sexy scenes, some laughter and true to life sad times, but through it all, you will feel the family unity and undying love... I just know you will enjoy the laugh out loud humor Liz weaves throughout this story with rich descriptions and attention to details... So add this to your TBR list coz you won't want to miss it!! ... I can't wait for book 2!!!

Review originally published here: http://www.iheartreading.net/book-tou...

I thought the book would be focused mostly on love and romance, but Love Garage also focuses a lot of family – and love within a family. Antony Love is the oldest brother of five siblings. They’re family is as tight knit as they get, so that when their mother becomes ill, all siblings and their father are affected. When Antony’s youngest brother, Aiden, shows up at his garage, having dropped out of school again and in need of work, he offers him a job and place to stay. But the new arrangement has some side effects. Rosalee, a long-time friend of Antony’s, and a widow, enters the picture, and from the moment Aiden sees her, he falls for her, and then all bets are off.

I enjoyed the family quarrels and interactions the most. At the heart of the book, you’ve got a family just like any other. They argue, they fight, but they love each other to the core, and as a reader you can easily feel that warmth and love rolling off the pages. Aiden is an intriguing character too, though. He’s flawed, has his ups and downs, he struggles with finding out what he wants in life, and he grows so much as a person throughout this book. There’s plenty of romance too, even some sort of triangle although the focus was mostly on Aiden and Rosalee, and all of that makes this book a wirlwind to read, a fast-paced adventure.

This is my first read by this author, and I enjoyed it. The dynamics between the characters work great, and the plot had a few surprising twists too.

Wow, I loved this book!! This was one of the more angsty books I've read in awhile and while I loved that, I also hated that!

The Love family is a large family with 4 sons and 1 daughter...a wonderful mom and dad who raised their kids right and who the kids still adore and respect. Yes with siblings, there is always rivalry and it is unsurpassed in this book. There is a some very hot sex scenes, some laugh out loud parts and some times you will want to punch the characters and ask them what the hell is wrong with them!

Two of the four brothers are highlighted in this book, but there are so many rich characters beyond Antony and Aiden, you surely know her next book will highlight those and I cannot wait!

The ending of the book had me twisted up in knots, but Liz totally surprised me...and in a good way!!

I have to rate this as a 5 star book because after about 40% in, I could not put it down! I can't wait for the next book in this series!! And I loved all the characters, with the exception of a few women you will be happy to hate!!

I have been a follower of Liz Crowe's books for quite a while now and I just have to say I LOVE THIS NEW SERIES.

This first installment is about Antony and Aiden Love, brothers in a dynamic Italian/Irish American family of 4 boys and 1 girl.

When Aiden returns home after a long time gone chasing his dream of becoming a successful author he spots his brothers girlfriend and falls immediately in lust.

Antony Love, the oldest son in the Love family is damaged by events of the past, but through it all he has had one constant, Rosealee, his best friends widow, now his girlfriend. They love each other, they are good together and when they finally move forward with their relationship, everything seems perfect, or is it?

I absolutely love a great series based around a normal, dynamic family unit and the Love Brothers Series fits quite perfectly.

I'm off to dive into book 2, Coach Love and find out all about Kieran Love.

Watch out folks...the Love Brothers are coming for you!

This is a different type of novel from Liz Crowe but not by much. She's well-known for blowing your mind with agnst, grief, and deep love between characters. I think the real love showing in this tale is the love of four brothers and how important their family unit is. Yes there's hot sex, yes there's drama between a couple of the brothers over one woman but in the end, the right decision is made giving the reader their HEA. Something you don't always get from this author. I think any erotic contemporary romance reader who enjoys a good dose of agnst and great internal character dialogue will love this novel.

I was given an advanced copy of this novel for an honest review. No money was exchanged.

***I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.***

Great beginning to a new series…filled with the perfect blend of steamy sex, romance, love, friendship, family, and angst! Aiden Love has returned to his small hometown after his novel was rejected and learning that his beloved mother has cancer. He begs his oldest brother, Antony, to take him in. Antony gives him a job in his successful auto mechanic’s garage, and he allows him to stay with him. Antony was always the brother to take up for Aiden when they were younger against his other brothers. All seems to be going smooth until Aiden begins having feelings towards Rosie, Antony’s love interest. But, Rosie and Antony’s relationship is complicated. They have barely made it past friendship status because she and Antony have suffered unimaginable losses, and it has shattered their souls. Antony lost his wife, and Rosie lost her husband. Antony has been Rosie’s strength since her husband was Antony’s best friend. It makes sense for them to be together, but do they actually have “real” feelings for one another? Rosie especially questions those feelings since Aiden has come back to town. Will she and Antony chose to do what’s “right” according to others’ perceptions, or will they choose their own path to happiness?

I do enjoy a love triangle if it is written well. I can honestly say Liz wrote that part of the story perfectly. There were times when I thought “Oh God, this is going to be messy and bad.” But, I shouldn’t have worried, she did it wonderfully. I think she was able to write it so well because of the way in which she wrote the characters. They were so well-developed that I felt every emotion they felt….the pain, the happiness, the anger! The characters also invoked strong emotions from me. There were times I loved them and times I wanted to beat the crap out of them. All of them are so passionate that you can’t help but be drawn into their emotions. Not only was this book about the love and emotions between a couple but between a family. I felt like I was a part of the Love family. They have their issues, but they also have a love and loyalty that is strong enough to overcome those issues, and that is a beautiful thing! May I add…she couldn’t have picked a better name for this family!!!!

I was drawn in by the Love family from the very beginning. They aren’t perfect. They love, they hurt, and hurt each other, but they accept each other and in the end, they love each other. I see that Liz Crowe is going to be continuing the story of the Love family, and I can’t wait to read the others. Once you have been introduced to this boisterous and loving clan, you won’t want to leave!

I could NOT put this down!

This book was unlike any other I have ever read, and I kept saying to myself, "Wow, I never saw THAT coming!" The love scenes were VERY hot, and spaced nicely throughout the book.

Liz did an excellent job of writing both Aiden's and Rosie's points of view, and getting the story from both perspectives kept the it very interesting. The entire plot was so wild to think about, and made me wonder how often things like that actually happen in real life...

I loved every single character in this story, and Liz did a beautiful job of setting up the next book in the series (which I CANNOT WAIT TO READ!!!).

Love Garage is the first book I've read by Liz Crowe and it won't be the last. Love Garage is definitely different from the usual romance novels I read, but different can be good. This book brought many emotions for me and Liz Crowe did an excellent job at making me feel for her characters. Love Garage isn't your usual boy meets girl, boy marries girl, kind of story. There are many more factors and complications thrown into the mix. The angst level is fairly high, as for most of the story revolves around a love triangle, with brothers no less and then it turns into a square. I was really happy with the ending and believe the brothers each got the right girl for them. Love Garage is about sticking by your family and following your heart.

Maybe this is more of a it's me not you sort of thing but I really don't understand all the four and five star reviews for this f*cked up crap I just read. I feel like I read a different book than everyone else. Well actually listened to. The narrator was terrible IMO but I don't think reading it would have improved the story for me. All the adults in this book acted like idiots. I read the help novella after this ...as it is supposed to give you Margot and Antony's perspective. All I can say is are you for real...what utter crap

Love Garage – I’d love to be serviced there . . .

I settled into this series like a pair of best-loved, worn, faded jeans because Crowe’s writing style is so similar to my own that I felt right at home. As in my books, these are guys who are, well, guys. They’re not just-barely-adult multi-billionaires. They’re grown-ups with homes and jobs, and not the most glamorous jobs either. Antony Love owns a garage, and his brother, Aiden, is a failed writer who drags home with his tail tucked between his legs – but not for long. There are four brothers in the family, and they couldn’t be more different. (Oh, and a kid sister, too.) Pair that with an Irish mother and an Italian father, and you’ve got quite a recipe for an interesting tale. The story is told in third person, and it’s a cozy, companionable volume with a cast that just sucks you right in. There were definitely times when I wanted to jump into the fray at their Sunday afternoon basketball game and throw a few punches of my own. After a long dry spell, Aiden is quite the manwhore, while Antony tries far too hard to hang onto the past. We also get a peek into the personalities of the ruined-athlete-turned-coach Kieran and the mercurial brewmaster Dominic, plus their prim and proper mother, Lindsey, and Anton, the stiff, unyielding patriarch of the family. I’m hoping we see more of the sister, Angelique, in later books. The cast of females is colorful and varied, and I loved the way some of them waltzed in and out of the storyline – and the way some of them stayed. I will say that when they started flipping between relationships, I got a little lost at times, and sometimes I wondered how they kept up with who they would be sleeping with that night (or afternoon, or lunchtime). Being the visual learner that I am, more description would’ve been about the only thing high on my list that wasn’t delivered, but there was enough to keep me firmly engaged in the story. The sexual encounters are brief but hot, and poor Aiden, well, you’ll just have to read it to understand. And I hope you do. I’m headed to the next book in the series, Coach Love, right now.

The words and emotions that are aptly written draw you into this story right away. You know that the brothers were close and that there is tension. You can feel it with the descriptive writing and the conversation the author creates in the first pages.

One brother feels like a screwup and is home with his tail between his legs hoping for help. The other brother is still not getting over his wife’s death from over 10 years ago. Each trying to go on and help one another and each caring for a woman. The same woman. Rosalee who is the only thing that put a smile on Antony’s face. She is also the only person to put pep in Aiden’s step. He was attracted to her but wanted his brother to be happy again.

We have family angst all around and the bantering and way that all the brother’s deal with each other is fun to see. They truly are a family and close. Their mother being their world. Aiden and Antony work in a strained harmony but are crackling with tension that each scene does show in a underlying tone. Than we have Dominic who is lost as well. He is struggling with inner demons and turmoil that no one has been able to see or understand. Kieren who is feeling less confident and more wishy washy and has yet to learn to stand up for himself. The brothers all there for each other when needed and there for their mother. Brothers who are tight but try to deal with each other from a not so close way. But Rosalee forces some things to surface. So does their mom’s illness. And here is where we get more tricky for a new woman arrives on the scene. A woman who entrances Antony more than Rosalee but Antony feels he has to do as expected of him and be with Rosalee. Meantime Rosalee and Aiden are fighting an attraction for each other as well.

The story centers around this love quandry. Both boys wanting to do what is right while not being with who they desire. In the end the heart wants what the heart wants.

A fast paced fun story of family and love and listening to the heart even if it isn’t what is expected.

This was the first book in the Love Brothers series. Aiden returns home after being away at school for almost eight years. After vowing to never return. Trying to be a writer, he ends up back in the small town working in his brother Anthony's garage. Anthony the eldest brother hasn't been the same since his wife Crystal died in a car accident. He has been taking care of his best friends wife and son after Paul was killed over seas. Aiden finds himself attracted to Rosie but thinks she is now Anthony's girl. Aiden then picks up where he left off with the women before leaving town. Yet it is really Rosie he wants. Anthony just fell into a relationship with Rosie and since everyone thinks they belong together they might as well be.

I was torn on my fang rating on this one. I loved the story line. How they family rallied together, the brothers fought but yet stood up for each other. Taking care of their mama. That was my five fang rating. Then you have Aiden wanting Rosie, Rosie wanting Aiden. Anthony with Rosie but being attracted to someone else. Yet through all this everyone seems to be sleeping around. How can you tell what feeling are real and what is lust. Seriously guys and girls keep it in your pants. I love great sex scenes and the angst of loving someone that belongs to another but get it together. I wouldn't believe you either if you said you loved me but was sleeping with a couple of different women. So that part was a 3 fang. There was so much I could have said in the summery of the book, but I didn't want to give any secrets away. And believe me a lot is going on.

Wonderful cast of characters. Took me awhile to sort them all out. There seemed like so many . The four brothers and their baby sister. The assorted women about town and a few kids thrown in. But they all have distinct personalities and you soon learn each one and put them all together.

4 Stars!

I liked this book. It was a story about learning to trust your heart as your head can sometimes lead you down the wrong path. It is about making choices that may scare you but are so worth it in the end. This book made me laugh, smile, get angry, and confused all at the same time.

This is Aiden and Rosalee's story (kind of, sort of...). Aiden is back in his hometown, begrudgingly but with his mama being sick, he couldn't say no. Needing his older brother to give him a job and let him couch surf, he finds that life is going to be hard for him while he is in town. When the object of his affections for many years is in a somewhat committed yet complicated relationship with his older brother, he knows he needs to stay away. Rosalee wants Aiden but knows she is much safer in her choice with Antony. After suffering the ultimate tragedy, she needs safe choices and responsible choices since it is not only her she has to be concerned about. As Antony pulls away from her and Aiden draws her in, she tries to resist temptation and focus her efforts on the older brother. As Rosalee and Aiden dance around their feelings, they find it is harder than it looks. Can these two find a way to each other? Is a happy ending in the cards for these two?

My only complaint is that our couple did not get much time "together" in our eyes. Yes they had history but I wanted to see their relationship more. This book confused me as most of it they were with other people and not each other. I am glad to se how it ended because these two people were drawn to each other in a magnetic way.

Being that this is my first book by this author and the popularity of this author, I definitely recommend this to her seasoned readers. I will be checking out future books by this author.

Wow! This book had a whole lot of messed up in it; drama, drama, and more drama – the kind that sucks you in like a train wreck because you have to know what happens. We meet the Love Family; an Italian/Irish group of rowdy boys with a mama and a sister thrown in. Lindsay, the matriarch of the family, was probably my favorite part of the entire book. She knew how to control her boys as well as the entire family, even while dealing with personal issues.

We are first introduced to Aiden, the youngest brother and outcast. He has been in college for eight years and is aspiring to be an author. He comes back to town when his mama needs him, with his tail between his legs. The eldest brother, Antony, gives him a job and place to stay. We learn about Antony and Rosalee’s crazy relationship.

“I’m not asking you to love me,” she insisted, relieved , but aching to have him inside her. She angled her hips so she could sense his flesh near hers. “F*ck me, Antony, please…we both need this.”

Aiden is insanely attracted to Rosalee as well, and the rest of the story is a love triangle (or square really) of sorts.

I really enjoyed the whole crazy family dynamic. I loved Rosie’s son, Jeffrey. At times, though, I got really confused or felt that there needed to be more insight. I felt like there should have been more background into certain aspects of the story or that too much was trying to be packed in. And the going back and forth between brothers annoyed me at times.

However, the end was fantastic! I don’t think it could have ended better. There were also some super steamy scenes!

“Ride me. Take it however you want it.”

Overall, I enjoyed this story and would love to see what woman is able to bring Dominic to his knees ~ Tiffany, 3.5 stars

An Awesome Book!

I really enjoyed reading Love Garage (The Love Brothers Book 1), all about the Love family who have five kids, four boys & one daughter the helm is led by Lindsay & Antony. The children are all grown, and are looking for spouses. The youngest boy Aiden has just slunk home from an expensive writing course with his tail between is legs and is begging is oldest brother Antony for a job working at his garage doing grunt work. After much mud slinging he finally gives him a minimum wage job cleaning the garage after hours, or early before the garage opens, also lets him live with him and provides a vehicle for him. Many things have changed since Aiden has been away, it seems Antony has the hots for Rosalie his BFF'S wife and tolerates her son Jeffery. There is an awful lot of drama, surrounding this family, but there is no doubt in any bodies mind that they all love each other, even if they pound each other into the dirt every Sunday at their family basketball game. The author wrote a very unique story about a large family who has the utmost respect for their parents and will do absolutely anything for each of them including blowing off their fiancé at one of there parents request! Read this book it will make you laugh, cry, sigh, shake your head more than once and cum a lot. Though the book talks about the entire Love household, it revolves around the oldest Antony and the younger brother Aiden and their female entanglements. I hope you give this book a shot because you can't help but fall in love with this amazing family! I can't wait to start reading the next book in this series.

I was provided with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The story revolves around the Love famiy. Antony Love is the head of his family, taking care of his siblings. He is at his wit's end from trying to handle his little most brother's antics - enters Aiden Love, reckless, careless and irresponsible. As he crashes in on the haven that Antony provides for him, he makes a few promises to Antony. Little do they both know that all promises can stand no chance with the irresistible attraction that Aiden feels for the young widow of Antony's very dear friend. As all hell breaks loose, do they all manage to figure out a common ground amidst the tumultous emotions, is what the book takes us through.

I found this book to be a remarkable mix of everything... Crowe has managed to throw bits of all good stuff in - emotionally intense scenes, witty and racy retorts, conversations and repartees, romance and some mesmerising characters. Antony depicts the typical responsible big brother, while Aiden becomes his foil - an older brother's nightmare. I thoroughly enjoyed the dialogues that these two shared. I would have loved to read more about Antony's take on life and his idealogies, all of which make him behave the way he does - seemingly cold but smothering his near ones with rough affection.

This was a nice read and I definitely recommend this to lovers of all romance genres.

My rating for this book: 4 stars

I like books about interesting, dynamic families, and this one fits the bill nicely. The Love family is interesting if nothing else. The clan matriarch Lindsay is a woman who sees things her family would sometimes rather she didn't see. I didn't get much of a feel for the father other than to say he's demanding, strict, and volatile just like his sons.

The sons are the same but different. They're the same in that they all have explosive personalities, well with the exception of one, and they're different because of their interests and the direction their lives have taken. I like that they aren't just cardboard, perfect people. They make a lot of mistakes and get themselves into hot water from page one. They do have a sister, but she's on the fringe of the story.

The plot is well done with two brothers competing for the same woman. I thought the pacing was good, and there was enough tension to keep you turning the pages.

There were a few things that bothered me, and this is purely a personal opinion. It may not bother you at all. The brothers routinely used words like the 'f..' word, and I'm not particularly happy about that. I don't think it added much to the story. I also questioned having having a woman be intimate with two of the brothers at the same time, but again, this is a personal preference. For those reasons I'd give it a 4 out of 5 because all things considered, it's a really good story.

What can one say about Liz Crowe and her exceptional writing skills? With this new series, The Love Brothers, she has achieved another great series to compare to her Stewart Realty Series.

In standard Liz Crowe fashion writing, this book is true to real life along with all the ups and downs that comes with it.

Love Garage is about the eldest son of Anton and Lindsay Love. A walking carbon copy of his father, Antony is the rock of his 3 younger brothers and sister. He has always been the down to earth adult everyone could depend on.

In his story, (told from younger brothers POV, Aiden)the story unfolds of Aiden's less than perfect escape from their small town of (fictional) Lucasville, Kentucky. Coming home with his tail firmly tucked between his legs, Aiden asks the rock of the family if he can stay with him and work in the Love family garage. Against his better judgement, Antony agrees. From there, the angst is on between the brothers that eventually involves the entire family and women outside the family as well.

Love, hate, anger, tears and joy are all part of this first book in the series. In true roller coaster fashion of the author's story telling, the ups and downs will keep the reader turning pages to see what happens next.

I would highly recommend this read to all who enjoy modern day realty told in a fictional fashion!

I picked up this book one afternoon, and nearly didn't get dinner on the table I was enjoying it so much. There is nothing like a good brother romance book.

This is the start of a series, The Love Brothers, and it is between the eldest and youngest Love bros, Antony and Aiden. Aiden has been away studying his butt off, but comes home just short of his third degree when he is told of his mother's illness. His first place of call is to Antony's garage to score a job and place to sleep. Antony has never recovered from his wife's death, and is still in a bitter place. Someone trying to rectify that is Rosealee Noris, his late best friends wife. They have that in common, but once Aiden sees Rosealee again, after years of being away, he is confused with his affections for her. Hence starts the rivalry between the brothers. Add into the mix the other two bros, their parents and Rosealee's sweet little boy.

I found this book to be more realistic than most on what can really happen with two people are attracted and lust is on the forefront. I liked that banter between the brothers and parents. Even though the ending was a little rushed, I am still looking forward to starting the next book in this series.

The first book of every series always tends to be a bit hard at first to get into and unfortunately, this is the same initially as the author starts introducing characters and spinning the web for future books in this series. However, luckily for us readers, the plot picks up quickly.

The story follows the Love family and this book starts with the eldest son Antony's story.

After heartbreak, the likes of which you never want to see, Antony is slowly getting his life back together and settling into a content routine with his deceased best friend’s wife Rosalee. While no sparks fly between the two, they are happy to settle for this life.

Enter younger brother Aiden and Rosalee suddenly remembers what it's like to experience instant attraction.

Warned against the relationship by the Love family matriarch, it is entertaining to see how the story unfolds.

I didn't like Aiden for a long time, but he eventually won me over with fantastic writing from the author to show his POV.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!

Complimentary copy provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

When Aiden Love is kicked out his graduate program, his dreams of becoming a novelist are quickly dashed. He returns to his small hometown in Kentucky hoping to find a job at his brother Antony’s garage. Soon though, Aiden finds it is more than just a job he wants from his brother, he also wants his girl Rosalee. She is the widow of Antony’s best friend and Antony feels it is his duty to take care of her, even though there is not necessarily a love connection. Complicating matters is the failing health of Aiden’s mother and the tumultuous relationship with his father. What will be the toll on the family when years of secrets are revealed?

Love Garage is a fabulous story of family and loyalty and how much living in a small town and all of the baggage that is history can become engrained in your character. This is a complex story with many characters which at times could become a little confusing, but the storyline was engaging and the personalities were developed in a way that not only are they likeable, they will be easy to follow into subsequent books in the series.
