Unsuspecting Valentine was a fun and spicy Valentine novella. I absolutely loved this story. Waverly owns a dark romance bookstore and G saw a post online and has been obsessed since. So much so that he decides to write a romance book so he can talk to her and go to her store. Let's just say she's surprised when he shows up for the book signing, not the woman author she thought. He tells her after the signing and has one more surprise for her.

Raven has managed to make a MMC who is not only twisted, but also kinda funny, I was chuckling most of the time I read this. and what a perfect way to welcome Valentines day then a stalker, masked MMC romance vibe. if you like this kind of book then this book is for you, because I was hooked from the very beginning.

This was such a fun little valentines novella.
It was a cute little love letter to all the dark romance girlies who love a masked walking red flag. G embodied all the features we love. Possessive, tattooed, a little unhinged in all the morally grey ways. While Waverley was the sweet bookstore owner that was a bit of each of us. Loved that dark romance and wanted a little of her own.
These two came together in the best way. It was so fun and spicy in all the right ways. Loved seeing it. Here’s hoping for more masked men from D in the future!!

The structure is like an elegant secret, tight, beautifully choreographed, and dripping with fascinating suspense! Waverly is a bookstore owner which mirrored my romance reader's soul, she's delicate, dreamy, and unknowingly watched by an aggressive, chaotic force of nature, her passion for literature flows into her tiny little hideaway, LoveLorn Books, but nothing—not even her carefully chosen dark romance shelves—could prepare her for the wicked, volcanic truth behind her favorite online "friend." This was definitely different from Raven as a whole and it was totally a vibe. This story follows G and Waverly and how iconic their story is. G is a literal book boyfriend and you can tell because of how obsessed and dedicated he is to Waverly. I highly recommend this little novella for Valentine’s Day as a whole! Of course do read the TW/CWs since this is somewhat dark but happy reading!

Really enjoyed this short and spicy Valentine’s Day novella. This was honestly my first book i’ve read involving a masked man, and dare I say… low-key into it? LOL
This book is about Waverly, a indie book store owner who gets an ARC of a debut novel and starts a year long friendship with the author and ends up hosting their debut and getting the chance to meet them, HOW EXCITING!! What she doesn’t expect is WHO G really is and getting to meet her new obsessed MMC from the book as well.
G is OBSESSED with Waverly, making her wildest dreams come true and the connection between the two are there, I just wished this book was like 2 pages longer and we got to see a bit of their friendship over the last year or a follow up after their time together.
Enjoyed this dark romance but just wish their was moreeeee of ittt!

i am very new to the stalker romance and just dark romance in general so it definitely kept me on my toes.
the characters are so lovable even the masked mmc, garrett. i never thought i would say that about a masked man but he is my first. and waverly, i loved her and her bookshop.
if you are like me and new to dark romance and looking for something short, unsuspecting valentine was a really quick novella and i definitely recommend it. be warned this book is very spicy so have fun 😉

What a fun and exciting book! What someone does to be close to that person is crazy. G literally writes his own book just to be close to Waverly. Not only does he check mark all the points but he is obsessed to its max.
Ahhh the spice was to perfection! These two, oh my! You don’t want to miss it.
Even when it was short, I felt like it had the necessary details to give you that ending. When i got to the last page, the way it ended, it was a satisfying feeling like it just made sense and enjoyed reading it.

First of all, I have never read anything by D. Raven before. This Valentine Novella is the first thing I have read by her before, and as short as it was, it had the right amount of spice and dark romance. As readers we all have different things that we like and read, for me I am pretty much an “eclectic” romance reader. Yes I will be reading the other books that have been written by her.
