Fastballs & Flirts is the fourth in Falling for the Angels series, it can be read as a standalone in Dual POV.
Kallie never thought she’d have a chance at a fresh start, but when she flees the only place she ever called home, she finds herself on her brother’s doorstep looking for a new adventure. Working in PR for a baseball team, Kallie Jennings spends her days trying to keep things running smoothly—that is, until she meets her biggest challenge yet—a tattooed, motorcycle-riding bad boy with a reputation for breaking hearts who just so happens to be her brother’s best friend.
Jake Rodgers is certainly no stranger to beautiful women. A star player, both on and off the field—he's unpredictable, reckless, and impossibly hot. But, when the team gets a new PR staff member, he can’t seem to get her off his mind. Jake's new to make the new hire like him, and that means doing whatever it takes to coax Kallie his way.
Will the fear of the forbidden keep him from pursuing her?
Will Jake's "sexpertise" scare Kallie away?
Or has it all been just a challenge for both of them?
Flirting can only go so far before an arrangement between them can turn into a fastball.

ARC review. Fastballs and Flirts by Mika C.C. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m a sucker for the brother’s best friend trope, add in a pierced and tattooed bad boy who rides a motorbike and gives the FMC cute nicknames. I knew I was going to be a a goner for Jake before I even started reading ❤️🥵 Footballs and Flirts is the fourth book in Mika’s standalone series Falling for the Angels. Dual point of view with banter that had me giggling and kicking my feet. This is a beautiful fun fast paced romance about love and friendship and I have loved every aspect of it and adored every moment of Kallie and Jake’s story. Releases January 21st 🏃🏻♀️
I really enjoyed reading this. This is not my normal d@rk romance but definitely forb!dd3n. With it being a brother’s best friend.
The character development through the book for the MMC was great to see he is a r3form3d pl@y3r and all because he lu$t3d after his best friends $i$ter. Well that’s how it started.
The MFC she is a shy younger sister who works for a baseball team and to say she is unknown territory when it came to the MMC is an understatement. She is a v!rg!n trying to figure out what she is feeling and how to solve it.
The spice in this book was yesss 🥵
This is my first book by Mika but definitely not my last.

Let me start by saying. I love baseball pants. Specifically when they’re being worn. But to add that with a heavily tattooed biker?! *insert biting my finger in that weird way that implies I’m weak for this man* 😫😫 Kallie was so sweet but also so very loyal through it all. And while I normally have a thing against J names for men… Jake had me swooning like a girl with her first crush by chapter 6… if you’re looking for a cute fast paced romance involving a tatteted biker and a decent amount of spice, please read this 😍💙 also there were some really funny quotes I highlighted that have me thinking I could be Mika’s friend in real life
I read heartbreaks and home runs and loved that book so I knew I’d really enjoy this one and I definitely did!
I absolutely loved Fastballs & Flirts! Mika hit it out of the park! I couldn’t put it down—Jake and Kallie’s relationship was beautiful and natural as they grew together. The chemistry between them, with just the right mix of humor, heart, and spice, had me giggling and kicking my feet. I’m a sucker for the brother’s best friend trope, and adding a pierced, tattooed bad boy who rides a motorbike!? Jake was impossible to resist!
Mika’s writing is so beautifully done, and she truly captured the essence of love and friendship. Kallie and Jake’s story was quirky, sweet, and utterly addictive, with just the right balance of charm and flaws in the characters. The banter between them was perfect, and I loved the relatability of the emotions, especially the fears surrounding fatherhood. This fast-paced romance is such a fun, heartwarming read, and I’m completely hooked on the Falling for the Angels series!!
I wish there was more—face-paced romances always leave me wanting more! I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for more books in this series! Highly recommend! 🥰
I absolutely loved this book. Jake and kallie’s relationship was so beautiful to read. It was so natural how they grew together and for them to understand what they mean to each other was wonderful
Mika’s writing was so beautifully done and she is soo talented and I love this series and I cannot wait for more books in this series. I hope this series can continue I love it soo much Thank you for allowing me to read this as an arc I throughly enjoyed it 🥰
This is my favorite couple and story so far in this series. 🫠 Kallie is sweet, but has such a sassy, sarcastic streak that feels empowering. Jake is wild, but honest and wants to figure out how to exist in a world where his friends are settling down. The desire that sparks between the two of them is intense as the dependency they feel for each other grows within their budding friendship. Their histories and their interconnected personal and professional lives add a layer of understandable tension in their lives and it was rewarding to watch them both grow and learn new things about life, relationships, and themselves. I love these characters and their story. The references to the previous books and real world celebrities and social media really hit home and made me feel like I was in their world. I absolutely adored this book.
Quirky, sweet, and utterly addictive, this romance is a delightful rollercoaster of humor, heart, and chemistry. The characters are endearing in their uniqueness, with just the right mix of flaws and charm. A great fast paced read
This book was so cute and I enjoyed reading every second of it. The story is good and progresses very well throughout the book. I didn't feel like it was rushed at all even though it was short. I love how the connection between the FMC and MMC starts and develops throughout the story. Especially the LESSONS he gives her..iykyk. I really enjoyed all the characters in the story and the emotions that this story made you feel!
I definitely recommend checking out this enjoyable read, it won't disappoint 😉
I'm definitely going to check out the rest of the falling for the angel series.
"That forbidden desires are always the most tempting."
"So I’m your angel and you’re my Little Devil?"
This was the first book I've read in this series and OMG. Now I have to go back and read the first 3- not because this one isn't a true stand alone but because I've officially fallen for the Angels...
Admittedly, I've never seen the appeal of the biker/man in a helmet but I do now. Holy Moly. The banter between Jake & Kallie is top notch. I laughed. I cried. I found myself wishing someone called me princess (or Little Devil). LOL.
I had the privilege of getting an early look at Fastballs & Flirts before its release and it was SO worth it!
Fastballs & Flirts is a delightful romance book. Kallie is working as a PR and Jake is the Star player for the Angels baseball team. They are drawn to each other, but he is her brother’s best friend. A heartwarming and a quick read!
Kallie wants to experience more in life, and Jake, her brother’s best friend, offers her just that. Though they quickly find that their closeness leads to more than just the friendship that they initially intended.
Read the ARC for this book and I thought it was super cute! I liked how the characters grew together despite past experiences/traumas. This book was a fast read for me and i’ll definitely be checking out Mika CC’s other books!
Mika hit it out of the ball park with this one! (Yes, cringe pun intended) I flew through this book because I couldn't put it down and be left to wonder what happened between Kallie and Jake! I enjoyed the banter between them and fully related to the fears we see her brother having about being a dad. It had me laughing, crying, and kicking my feet while squealing. All the feels, with a healthy dose of spice! Right up my alley! Totally recommend!
This was a super cute facepaced romance read! Heavily tattooed baseball player on a bike? 🤤 sign me up! My only thing is I wish there was more!! Facepaced romances always do this to me! 🥲
A cute and spicy story, loved seeing Jake and Kallie’s relationship develop! It felt very charming and natural, plus a smidge of taboo to keep it interesting 🔥 (And I loved the others/side characters and their relationships as well! 💖)
This was the fourth book in the Falling for Angels series, which is a series of connected standalones that follow baseball players that play for the same team. This is the second of the series that I have had the chance to read, and I really enjoyed it. This book was short, at under 200 pages, and a very quick read, and I felt myself wanting more of this couple. This book was very different from book 3, but I enjoyed these characters just as much. I am absolutely a sucker for the reformed playboy and the sweet innocent girl that keeps her wits about her. Even though this was a short book, I went through a whole range of emotions. I felt that you could really connect with these characters and cared what was happening to them. The brother’s best friend trope is one that I love to read because the protective older brother always missteps and oversteps. This book was a quick, enjoyable read that definitely had me in my feels.
Kallie was such a lovable FMC. She seems to be sweet and innocent because she has absolutely no experience in intimate situations, even with herself. But she has been through so much in her own life. She was in foster care because her parents were junkies and had to battle with all the perils of being in the foster system. The one bright spot in her growing up was her foster brother Lane, basically the only family she recognizes. There were definitely times I wanted her to wake up and see what was going on with Jake and who he really was. Jake was the definition of a playboy. He has no interest in settling down and his only real relationship was with someone who often invited others home with them. But he really wants to be better for Kallie. He grows up so much because of her. I wanted him to see his worth and I wanted Kallie to see him.
This book was entertaining and I felt a real connection to the characters. It is a slowish burn, but when the characters start their friendship with more, we start to have so wonderful spicy times. These characters were wonderfully written and it was a fun read. My only gripe is that I wanted more of these two. I loved reading their story and thought this was a great addition to the series.
I loved Kallie and Jake’s story! This is one of my favorite forbidden romances. I loved how natural Kallie and Jake’s relationship was and how it developed over time. It went from Kallie hating Jake to them becoming friends to friends with benefits and then more. They had the best banter and I loved that they were playful with each other. I loved that Jake was all in with Kallie, in the beginning of the book he was a playboy but the second Kallie came back in town he basically stopped and wanted to clean his act up. Kallie and Jake were great friends and great for each other. They both helped each other grow. The nicknames were so cute especially how it went from “Princess” to “Little Devil” I really enjoyed the other characters in this story too. I loved the brother/ sister bond Kallie had with Lane and how Lane and Jake were best friends. Such a great read!

“That’s my good f**king girl, look at that p**y shine”
When I read the tropes for this, I immediately signed up! Brothers best friend 🔥 Spicy lessons 😈 PIERCED BIKER MMC 🥵🥵🥵
You better believe, a pierced biker MMC gets me EVERY TIME! I devoured this! Ate it up! And then licked my fingers clean! Chefs KISS! This was an easy short read that captured my COMPLETE attention! I thought the virgin FMC trope was done sooo incredibly well especially with the spicy lessons! It added to the deliciousness and wickedness! Bad boy x good girl was hot hot hot! I loved how smitten Jake was for her and how she could his control to snap so quickly! I will always love love love a “fu*k it” moment. Everything Jake said was just perfection. I could go on and on but honestly? You guys need to read this book! I don’t want to spoil anything further!
This was the 4th in the series and considered an interconnected standalone. This was the first book I read in the series and didn’t feel that I was missing out on anything from the earlier books. I will definitely be reading the other 3! My only complaint was that I wanted more! I need more Jake and Kallie in my life for sure. Jake was officially added to my book boyfriend roster. Thank you Mika! I loved this story, congratulations on your release!
Kallie is the perfectly awkward and relatable heroine, while Jake is the ultimate golden retriever player turned swoon-worthy book boyfriend. Watching their relationship evolve from friends to something more had me giggling, squealing, and gasping the whole way through!
When Kallie moves to town, Jake knows she’s off-limits—she’s his best friend’s little sister, after all. But that doesn’t stop him from falling for her. Their flirty banter, steamy moments, and emotional connection made this such a cute and satisfying read. Plus, Jake’s dirty talk is next-level, and the way he starts calling her “little devil” will have you melting. 😈
If you’re looking for a quick, lighthearted romance with sports vibes and a guaranteed HEA, this one is a home run! 🥰⚾️
So thankful to have gotten my hands on Fastballs and Flirts as an ARC!
Jake is probably the epitome of that playboy we all know or have one in our friend group. He’s a major player and his best friend knows it. Which is why he doesn’t want Jake dating his sister, Kallie. Jake is a pro baseball player and Kallie works for the team as part of the PR team. She is constantly at war with Jake in the beginning, seeing him as the playboy he is. But he slowly makes a change to his lifestyle. He and Kallie become friends. Only Kallie wants Jake to teach her about sex. And he’s all in! The two have great banter. Their chemistry is white hot. The spice level in this book! Fire. Literally because of their chemistry it is super hot. The friendship between Jake and Kallie’s brother is pretty cute too. But honestly it’s Jake’s personality that shines in this story. It’s a totally entertaining book!
ARC Review Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75/5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Tropes: Biker Romance, Brothers Best Friend, Reformed Playboy, Friends With Benefits, Bad Boy x Good Girl, Spicy Lessons, friends to lovers
Kallie (FMC) is the PR for the same softball team her brother Lane is on and Jake (MMC) is the main star on the team. I loved getting to see these two have their relationship naturally develop over time. While yes, Jake is very much a playboy at the start of the book, when he starts ‘teaching’ (😉😉) Kallie, he only has eyes for her.
One of my favourite things in this book is the nicknames! I loved them so much. Jake calls Kallie “Princess” or “Little Devil” which fits her perfectly. Kallie calls him “Ghost Rider” and I just think it’s adorable.
Who doesn’t love a tatted biker, and softball player! This book made me laugh, made me swoon, giggle, kick my feet and blush. Super spicy and I just loved every second of it!
Thank you to Mika for this ARC. Incredible book, 100% recommend if you love a bad boy 💋
This was such a fun, cute, and steamy read. Pretty good paced. Not too fast, but not so much slow burn. Kallie and Jake just simply click and when Kallie reveals a somewhat embarrassing facts about herself (her words, not mine) to jake.....they find themselves in a situation neither planned, but here they are. 😅 Honestly though, Jake is the sweetest when he wants to be...for her. Kallie learns to enjoy her life. Love herself in more ways than one. 😏 all from the help of Jake.
Loved the mixture of a baseball romance with a biker mmc. The bike ride scenes were cute. Kallie, you live your life girl!
The epilogue didn't disappoint, it was sweet and fun too.
Jake and Kallie were adorable and hilarious. Their banter and easy chemistry made for a great read. This is the first book I've read in this series, and I was not disappointed or confused about the side characters they both interacted with. If anything, it made me want to go back and read the rest of the series.
I was surprised by Kallie giving up her virginity to some dude named Zach instead of Jake, and honestly, that was kinda disappointing, but from Jake's perspective, I understood his reasoning to not want to be her first.
Also, the fact he got jealous and upset over her dog Bruce for a hot minute? That was gold. I loved how he realized Bruce was too much for Kallie to handle, so he got her a new dog and found a home for Bruce with someone who could handle him.
I was scared about the motorcycle incident with Lane and Jake. I thought their would have been more drama/injuries instead of a breakup, but it did make my heart hurt a bit when they ended things after announcing to Lane their relationship.
Overall, great story. Loveable characters. The spicy scenes were 🌶🌶🌶. HEA. And honestly, what's better than a pierced, bad boy baseball player who changes his ways because he wants to show people he can be better?

I loved Kallie and Jake’s story! This was such a cute, spicy, fun and quick read! I am obsessed with the brothers best friend trope but I’m even more obsessed when it’s a masked man aka motorcycle hottie! The cherry on top for me was the “teach me how, friends with benefits.” That right there done it for me y’all! I truly loved reading how much Jake worshipped Kallie and how he always wanted to take care of her! I also love that he calls her princess and little devil. however, If I had to choose which name got me I’d go with little devil all day every day! Little devil is one of my top fav pet names😈 this was a 10 outta 10 do recommend for me!
Fastballs and Flirts by Mika C.C. is a fun, flirty sports romance that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The story combines witty banter, swoon-worthy moments, and just the right amount of spice to create an engaging and steamy read. The chemistry between the main characters is palpable, with their playful interactions and emotional depth adding layers to the romance. The 3.5-spice rating brings the heat, ensuring plenty of memorable scenes without overshadowing the heartfelt connection.
While the pacing dips slightly in some areas, the characters’ growth and the overall charm of the story more than make up for it. Mika C.C. masterfully balances humor, passion, and heartfelt moments, making this a must-read for fans of sports-themed romances with strong emotional ties. A solid 4-star read that will leave you cheering for love both on and off the field!
took a break to read my first ARC!!! and can i say it did not disappoint! i’m so honored to get to read this before it was out! this was the perfect amount of fluff and spice. i love kallie as a character and she is one tough girl. i think given any situation of her she would be able to find the positive out of it and make it work. and then theres jake! our motorcycle bad boy that literally comes with a danger sign! he changed for her. hes the walking sign of “if he wanted to, he would” and he did. i cant wait to read more about these characters! thank you so much for letting me get a preview before everyone else!!
Kallie and Jake’s story was cute. He’s a baseball playing biker who also happens to be her brother’s best friend. She’s the PR manager of the team and just moved to the area. Their relationship goes from annoyance to friends to more until her brother finds out. The spice was spicing and had several “teach me” moments that were giving! Some of my favorite other moments were the first backpack ride, the special helmet, and the wise advice from gramps. It does have an HEA so the angst is worth it! Overall, cute story with spicy scenes and I recommend giving it a try!

Fastballs & Flirts was THE BEST BOOK in the series!
Jake and Kallie were such an unlikely duo but the way Mika wrapped the book up with a little bow was top tier. I wish it was longer but I loved that it moved gracefully through their story!
Strong, manwhore, tatted, pierced MMC with a reserved, inexperienced, FMC makes for a fun story. The friendship and the spice are top notch in this book! The brother’s best friend troupe adds a level of suspense that was needed.
