With supplies running out and vital life support systems failing, Jack, Samantha, and Will have no choice but to ignore their father's warnings and leave the vault. With no knowledge of what befell the world outside, or what they might expect once the door is opened, they find themselves in a world they do not recognize.
Thrust into the remains of the world they remember, how will they survive on their own, not knowing what or who else remains amongst the ruins?
Book Two: Revelation Having learned of the destruction of their world, Jack, Sam, and Will are forced to flee the security of their Grandparent's home with blood thirsty beasts hot on their trail. Leaving the dark rider and the answers he likely had behind, they again are forced to fend for themselves as they are pursued relentlessly.

Now that Tammy's secret has been exposed, she reveals to her friends a prophecy of her people, further complicating the web of fate the siblings find themselves in. Finding both new allies and new foes, revealed secrets will lead them all to 'The City of Angels' to face the ultimate threat by the invaders themselves.
Book Four: Rebirth Having located the City of Angels, Jack, Samantha, Will and Tammy plan to destroy the alien creation. Seeking revenge for all the damage done to their worlds, and all the lives lost to the invaders, the companions seek out those responsible. When face to face with the beings responsible for the apocalypse, can the children of the after prevail?
First and foremost I am a father and a husband. I work full time as a civilian employed by the US army, and have also been known as a welder, electrician, carpenter, roofer, writer, painter, CNC machinist, and amongst many other things a romantic. I also belong to the eternal fraternal brotherhood of the United States Marine Corps, having served 8 years that showed me a much broader perspective of the world at large serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, The war on Terrorism, and the humanitarian effort in Liberia.
I currently live in southern Louisiana with my wife and children, though I grew up in Michigan, graduating high school in Mason MI. I also spent time living in North Carolina, Florida, and California during my time in the United States Marine Corps. I have always dreamed of publishing my work, and seeing it on a bookshelf in a store, however with the huge shift to digital media I finally realized that the dream was in my own hands. I tell my children that they can live their dreams, and I believe in leading by example.
I enjoy writing across several different genres from poetry, to children's stories, to full epic fantasies. Creating new characters for my readers to connect with, new worlds for them to immerse themselves in, and new ideas to wrap their minds around is an amazing if not humbling experience. I hope that all my readers can take something away from each of my books, and enjoy reading them just as much as I have enjoyed putting them in print.
Though perhaps more focused on the young part, and a not too mystical at some point, it is an interesting series to read and engage with science fiction.
I liked it at first. It had a great premise. I'm totally into the apocalyptic stuff right now and was looking forward to this read.
The first book was kind of okay. I mean, I was sucked in because I wanted to know what happened, but it quickly became repetitive. Nothing new really happened, and it just ended. No real answers other than 'aliens came and did this'.
The writing was a bit tough for me. I prefer the 'show, don't tell' method myself, and this was very much 'explain, then re-explain from a different kid's perspective'. I got it; I didn't need it a second time, or even a third.
The wording the kids used was hard to swallow. I have a nephew Will's age, and is extremely bright. I just couldn't picture him and Will as the same age. Will was written way too mature.
I got to the middle of the second book, then just gave up on the series.

I enjoyed this post apocalyptic tale told from the viewpoint of three teenagers and a seven year old. The youngest character, Will, was my favorite. I usually read within the zombie genre so this was a nice change of pace. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
The story is overall well written and I do believe that if I had the opportunity to read it when I was younger I will have give it a 5 stars review. As an adult the first 2 books were great but less exciting afterwards. Will definitely recommend to my nephews & nieces
The book took off to a slow start. I loved the premise of children with "super powers" saving a post apocalyptic world but the ending in which the aliens that caused the apocalypse just agreeing to their terms and leaving was very unbelievable. Hopefully the next book will shed some light on their true motives.
You can tell that these books are meant for slightly younger readers, without that meaning the books can't be read by adults. I like how the author switches between the characters, letting us get to know them better than you would otherwise. A good read, but I can't say they they were impossible to put down. The ending seemed kind of rushed.
Slow starting but does set an eerie atmosphere for this post apocalyptic world. Some of the twists I figured out which I always find disappointing but overall an easy and enjoyable read.
Great little series, read it in one weekend. Easy read and could be made into something if the right marketing happens. I look forward to more from the author.
