A spicy wolf x shifter, only one bed, paranormal romance from bestselling author, Jennifer Chipman.
Who knew the wolf I saved would be my fated mate.
When I found an injured wolf outside the Witches’ Brew, I couldn’t leave him to suffer alone. Taking him home, I nursed him back to health. Little did I know he was actually a wolf shifter, investigating a series of unusual activity happening outside of Pleasant Grove.
I thought I was done with romance, but as I get to know the man behind the wolf, my heart slowly starts to open again. The looks of longing and the sizzling connection between us can’t be denied and the longer he stays with me, the more I start hoping for things I know I shouldn’t.
Only Barrett is keeping secrets of his own, threatening everything I’ve ever known. But when the truth is revealed, what happens when it all comes crashing down on both of us?
Bewitchingly Hers is the third book in the international bestselling series, The Witches of Pleasant Grove. While this book is a standalone, it is highly recommended that you read the series in order for your best enjoyment.
Another fun paranormal romance from Jennifer Chipman!
This one is between a witch and a werewolf, but the people of Pleasant Grove had no idea werewolves even exist. Barrett shows up injured in his wolf form, and Eryne ends up nursing him back to health before she realizes he's also a man. When he finally shifts to his human form, he and Eryne team up to find out why the wards of the town are weakening, and what the creature was that attacked him. Oh, and only he knows they're fated mates. This was definitely a more cozy paranormal with them investigating and falling in love. I loved seeing the previous couples of the series and this set up the last two books of the series so well! I can't wait for those stories!
𐙚⋆°。⋆♡ ── pre-read i haven't read any books in this series yet but this looks super cute and cozy for fall!! always have a good time with jennifer's books so hopefully this is a good read!!
Dedication: “For the fall girls, who’d rather curl up with a blanket and a hot beverage than go out on the town.”
Chipman’s books are always a well balanced mix of cosy vibes, happiness, spice and good character stories. I loved that this one also had an extra piece of suspense, it was absolutely perfect for the season.
Eryne starts out as a lonely witch, not sure if she’s always wanting to be alone, or if she’s actually starting to realise she wants something more, something deeper and more meaningful. Barrett stumbles upon her doorstep at work and stirs these thoughts even more to life. Their dynamic and protectiveness is so pure and wholesome and makes you swoon.
Thank you so much for the ARC Jennifer Chipman, this full series is such an amazing read for autumn!
“Of all the beings in the universe, she was mine, and I would never squander that opportunity. Would never stop being grateful she was mine.”
This series will forever stay being one of my favorites to read during fall/spooky season with how absolutely adorable it is.
First and foremost, I loved the cameos of our fav witches & demons it was so sweet seeing them as parents 😭😭
Now to the fun stuff ... knots 🙂↕️ Barrett was an absolute 10/10 MMC with the way he is such a possessive cinnamon roll over Eryne and I ate it up the whole time. I loved how him and Eryne really bodied the classic shifter tropes without having the stereotypical dramas added. These two are just absolutely obsessed with eachother and so am I 🤭
I will say, in the last 25% of the book you get a possible glimpse at future couples for this series and I'm desperate for those 4 so so much 😭😭 Thank you again Jennifer for the gifted e-arc I will forever adore the stories you write & can't wait for the next journey 🫶🏼
“Even without my wolf senses, I would have known the exact moment Eryne entered the room.”
JENNIFER!!!! You have done it once again. I am so so so obsessed with the Witches of Pleasant Grove series. This is one of those series that keeps getting better and better after every release! If you’re looking for a cozy, witchy, small town romance, I highly recommend reading Bewitchingly Hers as well as the other books in this incredible series.
Barrett has my heart. He’s one of the sweetest, gentlest, and purest characters I’ve ever read about. He genuinely cares so deeply for Eryne and would do anything to keep her safe. Eryne is such a sweetheart. She uses her healing powers for good and genuinely enjoys helping people. I love these two characters so so much.
The plot was absolutely adorable and mysterious at the same time. If you’re a big fan of this series like I am you’ll really love the special appearances made by some of the previous characters. I was literally so excited reading about them! I highly recommend reading this book, especially during spooky season!!
Thank you VPR for this ARC! I just love a cozy fall paranormal romance and Jenn always delivers! 🐺🔮
Eryne is witch working in her small town coffee shop. When an injured wolf ends up on her doorstep, she knows she needs to help him. Barrett knows he needs his mate to heal him, he finds Eryne and she nurses him back to health. When he is able to shift back to his human form, she’s shocked!
Barrett wants his mate, but knows she isn’t able to sense their connection yet. He’s patient as he spends more time in her home while investigating the paranormal problem at hand. He meets all the local witches and friends of his mate. Her familiar, a hedgehog is his roommate as well!
There’s spice, knotting, and the sweetest HEA! Eryne and Barrett are mates that support each other unconditionally.
I recommend this whole series this fall if you haven’t already!🍂🦔
2⭐️ I am finally back with Jennifer Chipman in Pleasant Grove! I took a little break last year as I struggled to get invested in Wickedly Yours, but I knew I wanted to return for a cozy, seasonal read.
I guess I have to take partial blame in this lower rating. The whole animal aspect of the story really didn’t work for me. I was open to giving it a try, but now I know it’s simply not my thing.
Beyond that, the storytelling style didn’t quite click with me either. Characters are introduced with blocks of description—who they are, what they look like—before the plot picks back up. I tend to prefer when that information is woven more naturally into the narrative, rather than delivered all at once. It gave the story a clunky, uneven feel that made it hard to stay engaged. While that might not be a huge issue in a cozy romance, it definitely altered my reading experience.
One of the biggest issues I had with Spookily Yours was how out of place the spice felt in a story that otherwise read very young—and unfortunately, that carried over here. Chipman’s writing, at least in this series, leans heavily into a YA tone. A lot of it feels overly simplified and a bit immature, and the contrast between that tone and the detailed spicy scenes just doesn’t work for me. I think a closed door approach would’ve suited the story better, as the spice often overwhelmed the plot.
That said, it wasn’t all bad. Chipman’s atmospheric writing continues to shine. She has created such a cozy, inviting town in Pleasant Grove. It’s a shame her style and my preferences don’t align, because I’d genuinely love to spend more time in this world 🐺🍂
Almost halfway through and things have progressed a lot physically, but the guy has neglected to inform her she is his mate. It feels rushed, but at the same time not a lot has happened. The relationship has progressed but hasn’t been developed. It all felt flat. Not for me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars) Format: eBook (ARC) Title: Bewitchingly Hers by Jennifer Chipman
Dude, I gobbled this book up in one sitting! I absolutely loved it—5 stars without hesitation.
This installment ties into the sisters’ books but takes place while Willow is pregnant, so it’s set before those extra bonus chapters from the previous books. I loved that little detail. In this story, we get Eryne, who worked at the café the sisters own. Once the sisters found their mates and got pregnant, Eryne stepped up to take it over. Enter Barrett—her mate—a wolf shifter (not to be confused with a werewolf!).
I loved the explanation here:
“Werewolves aren’t wolf or human. They’re something other. Forced to change during each full moon, feral and rabid. Shifters were… blessed.”
The lore was so fun—witches gave shifters the gift of transforming at will, no full moon needed. The way Barrett explained it to Eryne had me grinning. And when he tells her she’s beautiful, inside and out? My heart melted. 🥹
Of course, he’s keeping the whole mate thing from her… which is definitely going to bite him later. 👀
What really got me hyped is the setup for future characters. We meet Ezra (a vampire) and Cassius (a ghoul who is basically a grim reaper—scythe and all, creepy and awesome). His introduction? Absolute chills. I DEMAND a story for Ezra and Cassius!! Please, Jennifer, I need this like yesterday.
And let’s not forget the 3 new characters from this book Ezra, Cassius and Freya (Barrett’s sister). There are so many directions this series can go, and I’m here for every single one. LIKE I NEED THEM ALL TO HAPPEN ASAP!!!! Personally, I think Cassius is going to be my favorite but who knows cause I don’t have it yet. 🤣😉wink😉wink😉 wink Jennifer! The tension with Wendy already has me buzzing. Ex boyfriends brother! Eeeek!
The romance between Barrett and Eryne was adorable and not overly cheesy. LOVED IT!!! Her familiar being a hedgehog? Cutest thing ever. 🦔 Their story was sweet, cozy, and perfect for fall/Halloween vibes without being scary—exactly the kind of autumn read I crave.
I read this in less than a day because I couldn’t put it down. I loved it so freaking much. I need a physical copy for my shelf ASAP. The cover is gorgeous, the story was amazing, and now I’m just counting down until the next book.
If you’re into witchy, paranormal romances that feel like cozy fall magic with just the right amount of excitement—this series is for you.
Thank you to Valentine PR & Literary Management for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
When Eryne finds an injured wolf behind the coffee shop she manages, she knows she has to help him. As a witch with healing powers, she might be the only one who can. She takes him home and cares for him until he is fully healed, only to discover he isn't a wolf at all: he's a wolf shifter, and quite the handsome one. Barrett knows immediately that Eryne is his mate, but he keeps it to himself so he doesn't scare her away. Plus, he still needs to discover what attacked him that night and whether it might endanger all the witches of Pleasant Grove, including Eryne. It turns out that Eryne's hometown is keeping secrets of its own, and they might change everything.
This was my favorite so far of the Witches of Pleasant Grove series. The fall/Halloween vibes were immaculate, and I adore a good fated mates story. It was fun to learn more about Pleasant Grove and its history, as well as meet some of the new supernatural beings. Both Eryne and Barrett were great characters, and I loved seeing the story through both of their eyes. Barrett being all-in for Eryne immediately was perfection. There was a lot of great spice, but still plenty of plot that kept me turning the pages. I just loved being in this world and want to start the book over again so that I can return! Although this can be read as a standalone, there are fantastic cameos from the characters in the first two books, so I would recommend reading those first to fully appreciate the story. This is a must-read for the fall!
First off, huge thank you to Jennifer Chipman for allowing me to receive an arc!
Review: Bewitchingly Hers is the third book in the Witches of Pleasant Grove series, and although you don't need to read the series in order, I would recommend it if you don't want spoilers about the other two couples in this series. This book follows Barrett, a wolf shifter, and Eryne, who is a healer witch. The book starts with Barrett in his wolf form getting violently attacked by some mysterious being, and he ends up with a ton of critical injuries, and he feels this pull towards Eryne. Eryne helps to heal him, and she brings him to his home, not knowing he's a shifter. Eryne's in for some big news...
This story was really cute, and it's a quick and easy read. The book is less than 300 pages, and you'll fly through it.
In full honesty, there were some parts that I did not enjoy, and the pacing felt a little weird. After the main issue was solved...that's where the pacing felt a little weird. I guess because it went from this huge issue being the center of the plot than to it being solved, and then it kinda just left me wanting more in a way. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the couple, but I don't know the pacing around that part of the story just felt a little off to me.
On the plus side, if you're into books with breeding kinks...you're in the right place!!
It’s the most spooky time of the year, and the next book in the Witches of Pleasant Grove series is here!🎃🧡
I love all things Jennifer Chipman and I am truly grateful to have received and read an arc copy of Bewitchingly Hers!🥹🧡 Jennifer cannot write a bad book and I fall in love with her characters and their stories every time.🧡
Eryne and Barrett’s story was absolutely perfect and had all the fall vibes!🤭 I love the small town of Pleasant Grove so much! I wish I lived there!🍁
Eryne is such a soft FMC who has been alone for so long until one night she saves a wolf who turns out to be Barrett!🐺 Barrett shows Eryne what true love is, and what it means to be taken care of and treasured.🥹 I love this wolf shifter sooooooo much! Barrett is definitely my newest book boyfriend. Eryne is one lucky girl.😮💨
This book was filled with romance, mysteries, all the Halloween vibes, and so much character development.🥹 The epilogue was perfect and left me wanting to reread Bewitchingly Hers immediately.🧡
If you enjoy: 🎃Small town romance 🍁Halloween vibes 🎃Witches, wolves, and other paranormal creatures. 🍁Witch x wolf shifter 🎃Fated mates 🍁Caretaking And so much more, you neeeeeed to add Bewitchingly Yours to your fall tbr!🧡
I’m usually not a romance girly at all, but there’s something about these books that have me totally ADDICTED!!! These truly are the BEST cozy Halloween rom-coms there is. They totally get me into the cozy Halloween feelings
I never really like insta-love either, but fated mates is something else entirely!! When am I going to find my fated soulmate huh??
This book was a breath of fresh air. Spookily yours is still top notch, but this one might be even better than Wickedly yours. Although the romance in this one was absolutely amazing and addicting, I really really liked the plot in this one a lot too!!
Seeing all the coven witches together, and getting some cameos from our favorites Willow, Damien, Luna, Zain and their babies was just what I needed.
I could already feel the romances of the next 2 books brewing before they were even announced, I’m so excited for them!
Goddess what I’d to do be a witch living in pleasant grove and finding my demon/shifter/vampire mate 🥲
Because if I had her, everything else was just a happy bonus. ~ Sugar. HE CALLS HER SUGAR! This was such a cute and perfect spooky season read, not only was the idea of a shifter a nice change of pace, but I was so excited about Eryne’s story and I always love a little mystery subplot, so this one was so much fun! The girl power in this one was strong, even as the sexy wolf shifter time was too (swoooon), and I loved seeing Wendy and Rina so much and the snippets we got of Willow and Luna and the boys, and the text chains were a blast! This was honestly just so much fun and it was lovely being back in Pleasant Grove. And I must mention how curious I am about Ezra too!! This was the most perfect way Eryne’s story could have gone and Barrett and his wolf were the best. And the meet cute? (Or meet…heal?). Absolutely unique and wonderful and I loved it. Another wonderful book from Jenn!
Bewitchingly Hers is the third book in the Witches of Pleasant Grove series. Thank you to the author for sending me this book. All opinions are my own!
Bewitchingly Hers follows FMC, Eryne, and MMC, Barrett. Eryne is a witch who works at a cafe in town, and Barrett is a wolf shifter who is hunting a dangerous creature. The two cross paths and begin hunting the same creature - add in some flirting, love, and romance.
Hehehehe. This was super duper cute. I have loved every book by Jennifer Chipman that I’ve read!! This one was everything and more. Definitely had all the spooky romance vibes and it was so fun. Eryne and Barrett are both sweet as sugar and have such a pure connection. I really enjoyed this book!!! It was nice to be back in the spooky (and cute) Pleasant Grove!
We return to Pleasant Grove once again to watch a new couple find true love! And omg was it so cute! It’s finally fall and Bewitchingly Hers was the perfect read to kick off the season! You will love the characters both new and old, the banter will keep you laughing, there’s just a drop of drama to keep you on your toes waiting to see what’s next, a dash of spice, and a swoony insta-love, fated mates romance that’ll have you rooting for a happily ever after which of course Jennifer Chipman delivers and I can’t wait to see what’s to come with some of the new characters introduced in this book! So, if all that and more sounds like your next read I highly recommend grabbing a copy of Bewitchingly Hers now!
I'm always grateful for any ARC, especially since I've been following Jennifer's work for a few years now.
Sadly I didn't love this one as much I hoped... I really liked the plot, the mystery and how fast paced that was in the end.
But the romance felt a little bit forced. I didn't connect that much with Eryne and she felt too much like a "not like other girl's" type. Barrett was cute, but I wanted more of an alpha male (we also had those moments) than a cute golden retriever.. The breeding kink was the last straw - I genuinely cringe at that, I'm sorry - and I skimmed through the last chapters.
I really liked Wendy and Rina and am really curious for their stories, since we already had a little taste of what's to come!
It was still a cozy, light fall read, I just wish it had more depth in every way.
this book was EXACTLY what I needed after my slump! 🥹 whatever Jennifer writes i will buy. and this book made me incredibly happy.💛 Eryne has such a big heart and I can relate to her well. i love how much she loves animals. and she saves barret. barrett is the perfect man for me and is a man i would want for myself. sweet, kind, caring. will do ANHTHING for the women she loves and that is eryne and BOY does he love her🫶🏼😭 I love their love and i live their journey! i also love the mysterious part of this book the mystery part it left me eager to find out the truth. i just live how Jennifer writes and its always so so so good!!! Barret and Eryne are PERFECT and im gonna miss them so much🫠
This did not have the plot for me. Keeping the MMC and FMC apart (for the 3 seconds they were) felt forced and then the mate bond felt like a dangling carrot that could have easily been grabbed but we needed tension… even what should have been some of the more action packed chapters were just wrapped up in a neat little bow way too quickly. There was plenty of spice but none felt unique or exciting and there was plenty of “what if” inner monologuing. All in all this just wasn’t as good as the first two and wasn’t really for me.
A cute shifter and witch romance. Didn’t expect it coming from the first books about demon mates. A nice plot line where she heals him in his wolf form and finds out he’s actually a shifter. But I didn’t like how he kept some things from her and when she finds out she just essentially shrugs her shoulders and gets over it. The ending with their baby is very cute. Definitely looking forward to the next book.

Okay! Okay!! The Witches of Pleasant Grove series just keeps getting better and better! I loved the first two books, and I would consider this one to be my first shifter romance in the paranormal realm.
Some of the concepts I was unfamiliar with, but Jenn is honestly creating such a beautiful and seamless world that’s easy to read and fall in love with. Barrett and Eryne have my heart and I adore the two of them.
Mates isn’t something I’m used to in books, but Barrett’s protectiveness was so pure, ferocious, and genuine like Damien and Zain. The fall vibes made for the perfect romance between Barrett and Eryne. I loved the supernatural elements and a little suspense and danger in there as well.
Thank you to Jennifer Chipman and Valentine PR for an eARC copy of Bewitchingly Hers🧡
4.5⭐️ Thank you to VPR and Jennifer Chipman for this eARC! I absolutely loved Bewitchingly Hers! It was so warm and cozy, and Eryne is just the sweetest - so caring and loving, especially taking in this stray wolf. Watching her and Barrett fall for each other as fated mates was just perfect. Their connection felt so natural, heart-melting, and full of chemistry. I loved seeing how in love Barrett was with her and how she opened her heart to him. Honestly, I just want to see more of them and their story - it left me completely smitten!
i love a cute small town fall romance with sprinkles of fantasy flare! i thought the premise was cute, but it did also feel very similar to damien and willow’s story and at times felt too insta lovey even though they are mates. i’m curious to see the couples in the rest of the series!! i have an idea but i hope so be surprised!
- fated mates - wolf shifter x witch - paranormal romance
Another great falls romance book. i I love the pleasant grove series and I cannot wait for the rest of the couples stories. I loved the little hints that we got for who’s to come.
Another perfect fall read from Pleasant Grove. Wolves are nice addition and I already can't wait for the resident vampire and ghoul to have their own stories with those witches. Definitely sweet, spisy and cozy read for the season. Berret is literally one of the sweetest golden retriever MMCs almost literally.
