SIDE NOTE: #1. To be fair to the pussified, TSTL hero; the heroine wasn’t all that bright either. #2. For a more comprehensive critique, read Nanci's review: CLICK ME BABY!

Blood of Cupids was overall an enjoyable read however the ending just sucked! There's no cliffhanger so to speak it just ends with a shhh! WTF! Please tell me that the next installment will give Grace and Ryan their HEA because there is ZERO closure here for them. I am bound to reading the next installment since I'm now vested into these characters and I want see Sean to get what's coming to him from both clubs!

The son and daughter of the rival MC club have met and fallen in love. They discover that they should hate each other but have fallen for each within a week. This is a fast read. I mean fast like BAM love, bam drama, BAN war and BAN HEA. It was good for a fast read. This book was Fast and Furious.
This was somewhat of an MC version of Romeo and Juliet. Both clubs are at war with one another and both Grace and Ryan have been taught to hate each other. But when secrets from the past come back to haunt them and Grace's father won't listen to reason... well there's certain to be a little bloodshed.
This story is far from over as Ryan and Grace still have to come to terms with all that has happened and where their lives are with their own MCs. Also, a murderer is loose and no one knows if a war is still brewing after the deaths from the previous bloody altercation between both rival MC clubs.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story but like a little more grit and rawness in my MC boys. A little more roughness to Ryan is what I was looking for. Ryan may not have wanted this life but he was born into it and because of that I expected a little more badass out of him.
Not bad but nothing extraordinary either. The characters were ok and the start was good but the plot was too predictable and clicheic. The plot twist (if you can hardly call it a "plot twist" -characters were way to predictable )was confusing and weird. One minute the bad guy gets killed and the next minute he rises from the death and
All in all, remember Romeo and Juliet? This is pretty much what this book is about...MC style... with too much unnecessary drama (gives the feeling that the action was forced).
It was like a Romeo and Juliet love story, mixed of Keeping up with Kardashian drama. lol!
The rivalry between H/h clubs, the secrets.. yada yada yada.. Throw in some unnecessary drama and a lot of stupid WTF action scenes? ugh. just no.
I guess what really pissed me off was the ending. It ended so quick I had a semi whiplash. It felt like a cliffhanger but seems like not.. I'm not sure. -_-
Overall.. it has a big potential.. good plot but poorly executed.

I'm going to start with this: I would have loved this book if it weren't for the ending.
Now, onto the review....
Grace Brennan has always had someone looking out for her. So much so, she hasn't been able to live life on her own. Now 23, Grace is finally somewhat separating herself from the life she's always known as the princess of an MC. While out finally tasting life, she meets Ryan. From the very beginning sparks fly and romance blossoms, however Grace has no idea how to break it to Ryan where she comes from. She pushes him away only to want him back. Things get more intense when she learns that Ryan has secrets of his own....What will Grace do when she learns not only does Ryan know about the life of an MC, he belongs to one....the one who killed her mother.
This book was good, no doubts about that one. It had romance, action, betrayal, deceit, star crossed love, everything. It was very Romeo and Juliet -esque. It was short but it packed in the action. I liked the characters. The author made you feel like you were there. I liked the book. So why not five stars? I would have given this five stars if it hadn't been for the ending. It was heading in the right direction and then abruptly, it just ended. I hated that. I'm not an author, I don't want to imagine what happened from there, I want to know! I want an epilogue. I want an ending! I definitely deducted a star for that.
All in all, I enjoyed this read and will definitely read this author in the future. All I can hope for moving forward however, is that she includes a conclusive ending.
The book ended and I still don't understand why Sean did all the atrocious things he did? Why rape? Why kill? Oh and the who child molester thing...ewwww! There was never any explanation to his crazy and erratic behavior. It's obvious he hates his nephew and doesn't care for his brother so why bring him into the MC in the first place? How did he manage to pull off convincing two MCs that their respective presidents killed Emily? Is he really that smart?
I mean I liked the whole mystery between E and J, the cryptic love letters and all that but there are just to many unanswered questions, plus the slight cliffhanger at the end is also very frustrating.
The relationship between Ryan and Grace is strange as well, they love each other despite the whole enemy thing but Grace is mean as hell to Ryan, only to turn around and cry over him. I got a headache just reading about her back and forth attitude. She grew up in the life, she was tough, I get it, but she came off as more annoying than anything else.
It was an enjoyable read but it could have been so much better! If it was a complete book, with a full ending and all questions answered! Plus less annoying characters...
I gave this a 3 stars rating because it was a pretty good action-packed story, and I didn't dislike it overall. The author is one that can write plausible, non-stilted conversation.
However, the premise of a 'maybe' 25 year-old guy being elected as an MC chapter president by older members, especially after the mess-ups he made, was totally implausible, IMHO. There were other things, too.
Unlike other reviewers, I didn't mind the ending as it left the door open to more in this relationship, but it seems that a guy who was stabbed twice (very violently) in the chest would be in pretty terrible shape two weeks later! Same goes for the h, Gracie, who was shot and stabbed in just two weeks. No mention was even made of that.
The smex scenes were just so-so, but that's ok...
Not sure I would recommend this in its present form. Maybe if it was re-written and corrected, I would. Not a horrible YA/NA story, but not great due to major flaws. One problem I see almost across the board in YA/NA books is that the young adults have either too much money, or get too much authority, in ways that isn't plausible (or happening) in the 'real world'.
I was gifted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
All Grace Brennan wants is a normal life. Is that too much to ask? Her life has never been easy. If being raised as a "princes" in her father's MC wasn't enough she has the horrible memories of her mother's murder that just won't leave her. Determined to make a life for herself outside of the MC she goes to college as far away as she can from all the men in her life. Unfortunately she didn't run far enough. Out for a simple drink in her new town she meets Ryan. The two have an instant attraction to each other. Both unaware that they belong to feuding MC's.
From beginning to end I loved the complexity of these two lives being brought together. The characters were believable, the story-line action packed. I liked how neither of the main characters were weak or wimpy. They both had strong characters.
My only complaint was the ending... While it technically can't be called a cliffhanger I can truly say I was NOT satisfied with it. I wanted more.
Grace and Ryan are like Romeo and Juliet only this is so much more violent with long held lies and betrayal by family members of both sides in rival MC gangs. They are trapped in their separate worlds but give each other strength and love despite the obstacles.
This flowed fast, kept me guessing as I knew there had to be a major twist and i did not pick it until revealed so I was surprised at the outcome. The ending is brutal and violent and is not HEA, it does leave you wanting to see where their journey is going to take them.
One character I particularly enjoyed was Grace's special Aunty who provided some relief with tender emotional moments and gave Grace support against her domineering father.
This story is no way completed and there is obviously more secrets and violence to come in Books #2 & #3 which are available so you can immediately download.
This is definitely a MC romance with death, violence but also passionate connections between two young characters who are older than their years.
I got an advanced copy from the author and I'm really glad. This book was amazing, crazy, full of motorcycles and blood. Right from the start you love Grace and Ryan. They are just two people who in fact just want to get away from their families and define themselves, have fun and not worry about the feud between their two motorcycles clubs. They have an amazing time together and right away you root for them. Things get complicated when they figure out that not only are they fro rival clubs but each of them are the kids of the president's. A whole hell of a lot of stuff goes down and in the end there is a funeral. I recommend this book to anyone who loves dirty, raunchy first love sex, people coming into their own and figuring out who they are and how to get over a feud that has been the basis of hate for years.
Yes, this book is hot, dreamy, sexy, rough, and just the way we like our MC books. Now when we read it will not have a cliffhanger...and then it leaves us with a curtain drop. BAM...what the heck!!! I can't even write the complete review I always give to my Hearts Collective writers. I was looking for more pages, looking on the website, checking my email from Colleen, and nothing. This is why my review is 4 stars. The story is well written. Yes, she leaves her childhood life of an MC to go to college only to fall into the arms of the VP to another MC. Fate. Drama, issues, suspense, lust, passion, virgins, love, deceit, lies, revenge...it is all here!!! We all love it! I like the way Sophia writes and I hope she is quick with the conclusion!!
Not my usual book of choice but really glad I read this. (Not so much into the romance) but this book swung more towards a bit of action and a bit of love story. Nice easy read. I loved how we get to see the other side of the story from the other character on the next chapter, kept it more interesting. The characters are likeable, I wasn't too keen on Ryan at first but he grows on you after the first couple of chapters. Some of the book was a little predictable but also held a lot of surprises that sprung up on you. Well worth a read and already looking to see what else this author has written.
this story was good until near the end,and heres where it went wrong...1, how was it that both ryans dad and grace's dad got killed by sean yet both mc's were right there and no-one stopped sean from slipping away ,from all the biker books ive read brothers have each others backs yet there was 2 mc's both presidents got killed yet the culprit slipped away??? ....2,bear in mind sean had his knee shot just shortly before so he got away with a fucked up leg??? its a shame because up until that point it was a good book

What a wild ride this was, literally for this MC book!!
You have Grace, who is trying to escape the MC life that her father raised her in. She had witnessed her mother’s murder and wanted a new start. She never thought her one night stand with Ryan would lead to more excitement she had ever had in her life. She knew she wanted more from him but little did she know he was VP of the enemy of her dad’s club.
There’s suspense, action, and a hot love scene in between.
I fell in love with Ryan and my only complaint is that I wanted more!!!
Hmmm, I really liked some aspects of Blood if Cupids and not so much on others. I think there was an opportunity to make their connection deeper in the time before the MCs got involved. I would have liked them to have more reason to be so attached to each other and make the consequential choices they made. The rivalry between clubs and the unraveling history in the last few chapters were a thrill to read and more than made up for the instant love connection.
I enjoyed each line!! S*** I felt the knife pierce Ryan's skin!! Loved the entire storyline.... I really need Uncle to be served a good dose of "whoop dat arse!!" OMG!! #2 can't get here soon enough!! There has to be a number #2!! How else do you end a story with such a sweet sentiment and then "Shhh."
"Today, tomorrow, and past the light.."
A Hearts Collective writer has done it again!! Love y'all!!
overall I enjoyed the book. my confusion comes from the ending everywhere it says this is a standalone but I'm still left wanting more. is the plan to keep a side story of them living happily ever after in the next book? and if this is going to be a series with each book being a new character I wish we were introduced to the person at some point in this book to leave me more intrigued for the next book.
so I really liked this book!! I did struggle with the first of the book though.... Ryan seemed, how do I say this, a little whoosy to me at the beginning saying things like "her apartment was gorgeous", but that didn't last long, he manned up lol! I'm so glad I stuck with this book! the plot was fantastic! the ending made me sad! I definitely will read the next one!!!!
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
Concept was good but story was just too simple for me. I thought the bad guy was obvious and the identity of "J" was also no mystery.
I thought the ending was harsh and her father's final action to be so unbelievable!!! Like he would even carry that around or hand it over as a kind gesture after being barbaric.
Mostly because the ending is kind of suck to me and I wish there'd be more than that. But overall I enjoyed it, Ryan's a bit off but I liked him anyway. I don't really feel the chemistry between him and Grace though. And I was planning to give this book 3.5 stars instead of 3, but with the scene where Patrick Brennan literally backhanded her daughter, big no no.
I received this book in exchange for a review. The format of this book is totally different than most MC books. It was written from the perspective of old love letters and Ryan and Grace's view of what was happening. It took a little to adjust to this, but then it went fast. I read it all in one sitting because I had to know what was coming next! Despite all the obstacles, Ryan and Grace kept coming back to each other. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

I really enjoyed this book! I liked the strong attraction between Ryan and Grace. I would've liked more development in their relationship before their respective families got involved. I also would like to see the continuation of their story.
Overall, it was a good story and I would recommend it:)
I really liked this book, you fall in love with the main characters and it is a modern Romeo and Juliet type story. Even though it says this is a standalone book, ending with them being secretly together and the bad guy still at large, we need the rest of the story.
I am eagerly awaiting the next book.

i received this book for a review.well lets just say it was very good.Rough characters who can love forever.I expected something else in the end,but o.k. i am not the author. i hope ms.kenzie keep writing books like this one.
Good story line but not enough interaction with any of the brothers from clubs & story ended abruptly with no fb page to stalk to find out what nxt books about since this is seemingly book 1 & a standalone, feeling frustrated!!!!
