The Heat of the Moment #3

Flashpoint Feelings

Rate this book
The smoking hot firefighter at my new station needs to stop trying to protect me. I may be a woman, but I'm his equal, not a damsel in distress.

I didn't bust my ass through the academy and fight twice as hard as every guy there only to have a burly redhead at my new station treating me like I'm made of glass instead of steel.

Sure, he's got shoulders broad enough to carry a ladder truck and an easy smile that makes my pulse skip. But he’s so quick to jump to my aid it’s clear he thinks I’m the one who needs rescuing.

And the way I catch him staring at me? I can't tell if he wants to strangle me or strip me naked.

He's as stubborn about protecting his crew as I am about proving myself. And even though his jawline could cut glass and his muscles have muscles the department has strict rules about dating. And breaking them means kissing our careers goodbye.

The problem is, every time we're together, the temperature rises faster than a five-alarm fire and it’s getting harder to ignore the sparks. But with chemistry this explosive, someone's bound to get burned.

When this slow burn finally ignites, will it be worth watching everything I've worked for go up in flames?

Just wow! This is one fiery hot ebook you will not want to put down. I absolutely loved it. In this sizzling ebook, Maya is overlooked for a promotion once again so she transfers to another fire station. The first person she sees is Mack, a burly hunk of a firefighter and she's truly mesmerized. Mack is so struck by Maya and her beautiful smile that he finds it hard to concentrate. Their chemistry is so combustible and the sparks are heading towards an explosion of passion but will they get the dream of a lifetime of moments or will policy keep them at a distance? Can Maya keep her heart and her job safe by staying away from Mack? Does Mack find a way to be with Maya and does he show Maya how he really feels about her? What can I say about this author except outstanding! She will keep your interest from the beginning in this super hot spicy 5⭐️ hit. I without question encourage you to get this exciting winner. You don't want to miss it. You'll love it.

Flashpoint Feelings is Book 3 of The Heat of the Moment series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, forbidden workplace romance. Maya is a smart and sassy firefighter who has just transferred to Ladder 24 in New York. This is the 4th station in 3 years that she has worked at as she is used to being passed over and discriminated against. Mack is a hunky, red-headed gentle giant and sweetheart who works at her new station. The two are attracted to each other instantly, but Maya is used to being underestimated and doesn't trust easily. Relationships are also forbidden. But Mack and the station do respect her, and she finds herself falling for Mack. OMG, I love love loved this couple!! I'm totally in love with Mack and want my own ginger giant. Their chemistry was smoldering, and the ending was so happy!! I love this whole series so much. Please tell me Jake and Charlotte are getting a book!!.

Flashpoint Feelings is action packed and beautiful. Mack and Maya are a dynamic duo with electric chemistry and the desire to see each other succeed. Maya is a brilliant firefighter in NYC who keeps bouncing from post to post looking for a place where she is accepted and treated as an equal. Ladder 24 is full of down to earth alpha men who appreciate each person and what they bring to the table. Watching Mack and Maya fall for each other is such a heartful read for so many reasons. I love that despite her snark, sass, and seriously high walls, Mack sees the real woman and champions her in every moment—and the other guys at the station treat her as their equal. Mack is swoony sweet, but turns up the heat deliciously whenever the two of them are alone. Loved the story.

The only part that doesn’t make sense is that Mack is described as a redhead with longer hair and chest hair—which doesn’t match the book’s cover image at all…

Maya Thorne is in front of Ladder 24, her fourth fire station in three years. She was invited by the Chief to stop in to see the place and meet her new crew before starting the next day. She has an intense reaction to a red head with piercing green eyes. Mack is the red headed firefighter and he had a hard time sleeping after meeting Maya. Her first day, they do ladder drills.

As they work together on the crew, they both know there are feelings between them. They want to stay professional and Mack doesn’t want to hurt either of their careers especially Maya’s because she works so hard as a woman in a traditional man’s profession. He is in awe of her firefighting skills.

I wanted them to be together but also wanted Maya to achieve her dreams. It was so cute that Mack wanted her to succeed as well.

Maya just wants respect as a female firefighter. Transferring to Ladder 24 she’s hoping she’ll get that. When she meets Mack she’s wondering if it’s going to be the same old thing because the first thing Mack calls her is sunshine, until she realizes he calls everyone that. As she gets to know the crew and Mack she realizes this is where she belongs except for Mack. And it’s the chemistry between them that has her wondering. Mack and Maya are great together but will they find happiness when it’s against the rules for them to date. Loved this fast steamy read, well written with great characters.

I loved Flashpoint Feelings: Book 3 of The Heat of the Moment. Maya has had issues being a female firefighter so when she transfers to a new station she expects more problems but she finds a welcoming crew and Mack. She’s never been tempted by a coworker before but meeting Mack has made her long for a real connection but they are coworkers and you can’t work at the same station. Mack is willing to transfer for Maya but is she ready for love? I loved the story and the characters. I can’t wait for the wedding and Jake’s book. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

This firehouse series has great characters, with Mack and Maya taking center stage for this book. She's a feisty, determined woman in a man's world and is used to having to prove herself more than the others. Mack is a lighthearted guy who jokes around with his team members but is incredible at his job and has a heart of gold. The banter and chemistry between them is intense, and I enjoyed how he handled the chip she had on her shoulder, gradually grinding it down. They were determined to keep things professional, but in close proximity just how long would it last?

There’s something about a romance involving everyday heroes. In this case, both main characters are firefighters. I loved the chemistry between Mack and Maya (insert fire pun here). They sparkle together. The chemistry was the thing that totally made the book. It was also nice to see a woman in a traditionally male profession be treated with respect.

Maya as a woman firefighter has had to put in double the effort to prove herself so she has a wall around her heart. Starting at a new station, she is brought up short when she meets Mack. Mack is huge but his heart of gold is his biggest asset (among others). He falls instantly for his little but mighty firecracker teammate. I loved how he is everything she didn't even know she needed. Mack’s willingness to support her in anyway-swoon-worthy. Fun steamy and enjoyable read.

Maya is the new firefighter at Mack's station and from the moment he sees he falls for her instantly. I love how protective Mack was over Maya and I loved how Maya wasn't afraid to fight for her place at the station. This is a slow burn, instalove romance with believable characters that had me cheering them on to get their happily ever after. Flashpoint Feelings is book three and a fun and steamy addition to The Heat of the Moment series. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

A really cute, insta-attraction between two firefighters working at the same station. Since this was novella length, there wasn't a lot of plot development, but I can see this book might be leading up to a series...maybe...hopefully.

Enjoyed the characters, the setting, and having worked emergency services earlier in my life, the descriptions of the training and camaraderie were spot on.

OOPS...I see this is book 3 in The Heat of the Moment series...I think I have some catching up to do!

You can feel the spark between Mack and Maya jumping off the pages in this story. I loved the elevator scene and how that sets up. I would have loved a bonus epilogue of what happens at the wedding, but perhaps in the next book we'll get a glimpse.

Light my fire

Maya and Mack are firefighters on the same shift. She has fought for what she has, having been overlooked on multiple promotions at different stations. One glance, one touch and all bets are off on these two fighting their attraction.

This is Mack and Maya’s story. She is new at the fire department. One glance at her and Mack knew he had to have her. A short and sweet read. Definitely worth reading

This is a quick steamy, instant attraction book but also more. Maya has always had to prove herself as a woman in the fire department but then finds a house that totally accepts her and one man that she falls for. Her and Mack need to find a way to work things out as co-workers and lovers - and fun, quick story
