~Abbi~
Ethan Darvish is my best friend's big brother.
My first crush.
A player.
And he's as hot as ever.
But he asks too many questions in that gravelly voice of his.
Like why I broke up with my ex—my only ex—of ten years.
And when he steps too close, I can't resist the heat in his eyes.
How do I keep myself from falling?
Even if he wasn't off-limits, I can't have him.
How far can things go before a player cuts ties?

~Ethan~
My little sister's best friend is back in town.
Abbi doesn't realize I know all her secrets.
Like how she was never satisfied with her ex.
Or how she felt like she was never seen.
She thinks I'm a player, that I'm with a different girl each night.
But that's only because I couldn't have her all these years.
Now that she's back in my life, I plan on showing her how I feel.
I mean to take it slow.
But I crack the first time we're alone.

Charming Player is a steamy romance featuring an inexperienced heroine who falls for her best friend's older brother. This standalone novella is part of a series, can be read in a quick 90 minutes, and has no cheating and an HEA.

The Principal Problem was a Five Star Read and I was excited to read more books by Sienna Mills.

Perhaps I didn't pay enough attention to the blurb before I started reading Charming Player and didn't realise it was a novella instead of a full-length novel but I just didn't feel like there was enough character development.

Abbi has moved back to Blue Ridge after breaking up with her boyfriend of 10 years and is temporarily staying with her best friends while she gets settled. She's always had a secret crush on their brother, Ethan. She thinks she's alone and is eating ice cream in the kitchen in her underwear when Ethan (the three siblings still live together) gets home.

Unbeknownst to Abbi, Ethan's had a crush on her forever as well. When he finds out that one of the reasons Abbi broke up with her boyfriend was because he wasn't very adventurous in bed, he sets out to prove to her that he's different.

I understand that it's part of the plot that Abbi doesn't feel sexy after her needs were neglected for so long by her ex but to be honest, it just felt like one spicy scene after another. Since we know that Abbi and Ethan have been attracted to each other for years, there's no real tension. There's an attempt at the miscommunication trope but it only lasts for five seconds so doesn't really count.

If I'd read Charming Player first, I don't know that I'd have given The Principal Problem a chance, which would've been a shame.

🥵🥵🥵

Devoured this quick one on my way into the office. Best friend’s brother, childhood crush, naughty calls, Catan (extra points for sure!).

Since I know there’s more to come I’m okay with the fun little rendezvous, but I’m sooo glad that Sienna has a full length novel coming out because her characters are 🔥🔥🔥.

I loved that Abbi was brave enough to stand up for herself and find her true partner and Ethan… man he was perfect for Abbi.

Could not put it down, but wanted to make sure I shouted about these two before losing myself in the next couple.

I was pleasantly surprised! Even though it was a quick read there was a nice plot and development. The writing was nice as well. Per a lot of romance books there was a miscommunication trope BUT it was so quickly resolved that I didn’t mind it. The yearning was *chefs kiss*. Solid little book!
