I loved Knox and Veronica's story. Knox plays for the Savannah Sharks ice Hockey Team, and Veronica is an FBI agent. She is sent to Savannah to investigate the Sharks' involvement in bribing Hockey Officials. Knox and Veronica met online as part of a hacking network, helping elderly people who had been scammed out of their money and assisting them in recovering their funds. They get along well, having chatted and videocalled each other, and they can't wait to meet to see if there's any spark between them. However, they have not met each other apart from their online relationship. With the "rules" they imposed on each other, both not knowing what the other does for a living. Will this put a damper on their relationship when Veronica's time to begin interviewing the team members to see if they had any part in the bribery, or if they have any information about anyone who did? How will Knox handle being part of the team and also helping the team bosses in their mafia work? What will happen when they meet for the team interview?
I received an ARC for my voluntary, honest review for NN Book Blog. If you love an Ice Hockey/Mafia crossover with some steamy romance thrown in, you will love this book. Jessica keeps you turning the pages with all the twists and turns that you don't see coming. I could turn around and reread this book; I loved it so much.

Veronica and Knox have been communicating for sometime, they are both hackers. They have been sexting and beyond but the live a distance away. Veronica is a on verge of a promotion, all she needs to do is find out if the Savannah Sharks bribed their way into the playoffs. What she does not know is Knox is the goalie for the sharks and Veronica is working for the FBI.

When they finally meet in person the chemistry is explosive but they both have a job to do. Her to ferret out the truth and him to protect the Sharks but there is more going on and Veronica is in danger. Knox will burn it all down to protect her. I loved these two, they were perfect for each other, he was not completely corrupted and she not completely innocent.

This author always provides an adventurous and dangerous storyline that keeps me turning pages quickly. Veronica is assigned the task to investigate whether the Savannah Sharks' are involved in bribing hockey officials. Lines blur and become challenging when the Shark’s goalie, Knox, turns out to be the online hacker that works with her anonymously helping the elderly that have been scammed. Their love journey is full of mafia secrets, doubts, hockey, undeniable chemistry, danger, and revelations. Can they find a way to be together?.

While the characters, Veronica and Knox, were great characters. And their history, and story, was sweet. I loved how they connected, and grew their relationship. However, their link to the Mafia side of this continuing story felt like a bit of a stretch.

There are still a lot of questions that I'm hoping will be answered in the last book. And I'm appreciative of the underlying continuing mafia story in this series.

Overall, this was a good read, and I will definitely finish out this series.

I liked how Veronica and Knox knew each other before she is assigned the Savannah Sharks case without knowing he played for them. They take their on line affair to real and she ends finding out everything. She clears the team of wrong doing based on evidence. I liked what Knox did for Veronica's family. I'm glad Veronica and Knox cleared up everything and were able to admit their love.

I’d recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a spicy and steamy romance with a touch of intrigue. Veronica and Knox had an online relationship for over a year but are finally in the same city and the sparks are exploding. Surprise Veronica is investigating his team for the FBI and Knox’s mafia connection is causing trouble with their relationship. It’s an entertaining and enjoyable read you won’t put down.

Love this series. Hockey and mafia. Mafia is my favorite right now followed right behind by sports romances. Continues the story and get to see more. Really enjoy all the characters and cannot wait to read Chase's story next!
