Taylor is feelin’ lonely and dejected. All of her favorite cousins are married with children now and she’s startin' to feel left out. Everyone’s wrapped up in their domesticated bubbles enjoying marital bliss and parenthood and she’s sittin’ at home on her couch single as a dollar bill. Hell, even Grandma Lavern has a social life now. Add to that, Taylor has been laid off from her job and she has no idea what she wants do with her career. Lawrence has just caught his fiancé havin’ an emotional affair with her “work husband” and calls off their engagement expeditiously. Single for the first time in four years, he plans to enjoy the single life and just go with the flow. When the two Masons (who aren’t related) run into each other at game night, things start to look and feel differently. One finger poke to the side, a chin chuck, an ear pull, and a full body hug jumpstarts their unexpected love journey. Flirt alert! You gotta read the book to know what that means. 😏😏😏😏 We’ve been waiting for Taylor’s story since this series debuted in 2019 and it was well worth the wait. There was an emotional aspect I wasn’t expecting because, we really got to know more of Taylor than the few tidbits we’d been given over the last five years. We finally learned why she won’t date men taller than 6’0 and that revelation just broke my heart. A vulnerable Taylor was not on my 2024 BINGO card but, I ain’t mad at it. It just shows you she’s a multifaceted character. Surprisingly so, what I really enjoyed about this book was that it wasn't overwhelmingly filled with the cousins because it fit the changing dynamics Taylor was going through emotionally. I think we’ve all been wondering what kind of man our girl would end up with and Lawrence was the perfect match. I loved how he became Taylor’s surrogate person when she felt like an outcast with her family and needed a sounding board. But, there were definitely ulterior motives goin’ on. Lawrence has been crushin’ on Taylor since they were kids and he was not goin’ to let this opportunity to finally get his girl pass him by. AshleyNicole has always said this series would end with Taylor’s story so, I’m feelin’ a little sad and dejected myself. I’m truly goin’ to miss the Masons. We’ve been rockin’ with this crew since 2019 so, it’s goin’ to be hard to let them go. But, hear me out. I’ma put this out in the universe and you do with it what you will. Wes and Fatima. I think we need one more Mason and Mason love story. That’s all I’ma say. 😉

Taylor Made love

I had been eagerly waiting for Taylor's story and I'm glad she finally got the love she deserved.

Taylor is the only girl cousin in her generation of the beautiful azz tall, butterscotch skinned, hazel eyed 30+ deep Mason Family. With over half of them married of her cousins married and having kids Taylor is left feeling lonely and misplaced. She finds herself spending time with Lawrence, a friend of her cousin Wes. She doesn't think much of it at first because well Taylor prefers the short kings, you know the fun sized males if you will and Lawrence is a talk drink of water. They have known each other since they were kids, but this vibe this chemistry they have was new and potent.

Enjoyed/Appreciated that Taylor and Lawrence were low-key sexy af, their banter, the soft way he handled her, the "other Mason" traditions, that Taylor was able to feel pretty, the decisiveness of Lawrence, the support from Simeon.

What I wanted more of ... Editing could have been better. I also wanted a better ending. I get not wanting the whole shebang, but sir don't ask without the proper equipment 😒. I wanted just a little more of the real Mason's. We didn't need the whole clan, but having Lawrence interact with her parents would have been nice or even her Grandma to give us some balance.

I know I'm being greedy, but I honestly don't wanna let the Mason's go 🥹 Let me get a Christmas update or something down the line.

Finally 😭🥰💜

This was the perfect love story for the only girl cousin, Taylor Mason! And her getting with Lawerence was a match made in Heaven! The crazy ex was an experience, and tbh, I feel we got just enough closure on that. Lawrence's mom was also a nightmare smh. I hope we get a story on Fatima! Taylor’s story opened the gates for more of the other Mason cousins to tell their story, including Wes 👀. Overall, it's a great story with very heated scenes, trauma handled (TW DV discussed), and a beautiful love story with family updates! We all had been waiting for this book, and AshleyNicole didn’t disappoint!

I may come back and write a more in-depth review, but I have to get these thoughts out!

I always enjoy a Mason romance, but I was particularly interested in Taylor's story. I'm glad she got her happy ending with Lawrence; he was super sweet and charming and definitely a good look for her. It was interesting to see why Taylor was so invested in men of the height-challenged variety; the explanation broke my heart, but I'm glad she was able to get out and move past it. I would've liked to have seen a bit more of the relationship with Lawrence, but hopefully we'll see that in the subsequent Mason novels.

Miss Taylor Mason! The die-hard of the Mason clan. The only girl cousin, and life of the party. The first in line to fight and protect the good Mason name, as well as her cousins, finally gets her time in the spotlight. Well, Taylor is down an out about her losing her administrator job at the school, as it has recently been closed. Not to mention her cousins are getting married and having babies by the minute. Where does that leave her? Even her parents and grandma are having more of a life than she is having at the moment, she is lonely and feeling dejected.

Lawrence is in a stale relationship, but he is comfortable, and it suits him. Or does it? When he learns of his fiancé's inappropriate behaviors, he easily calls it quits without looking back. He is now just cooling, not looking for love or anything serious after his breakup. But isn't that when it finds you when you aren't looking?

Lawrence and Taylor have known each other most of their lives. However, when they bump into each other they both have the need to feel a connection to someone and quickly fall into a comfortable groove being friends. I loved the witty banter, and the way they teased each other at every turn. Adorable. 😍 Although we knew that Lawrence had always been pining for Taylor, Taylor is developing feelings for him as well that she is unprepared for.

When we learn of Taylor's backstory and why she only dates short statured men, it broke my heart. 🥹 She has such a big personality and caring heart. To see that she was mishandled in that way, changing her forever was hard to read. However, Lawrence was there with her every step of the way, even when it got hard for her. He allowed her space to speak her feelings and gave her honest advice on how to move forward with her healing.

This read gave us the same funny moments that we expect from AshleyNicole, as well as some deep, serious ones that had us in our feelings. Nonetheless it was a great read, and I really enjoyed it.

Taylor!!!!!!

This story was on my 2024 Book Wishlist and getting it on Christmas Eve felt like the best present! I ate this one up. I’ve been wondering for years what type of man Taylor would end up with and I have to say Lawrence was her perfect match. There was an emotional aspect I wasn’t expecting and it made me realize that while I know who Taylor was, I didn’t really know her. Getting to experience her feelings about how things were changing, being lonely and kind of in limbo with everything made her my favorite cousin. I will say she and Lawrence had me frustrated because I just wanted them to be together already, but it happened at the perfect time. Their banter and the fact that we got to see them establish a REAL friendship first just did it for me. When they finally stopped playing I was so satisfied. I also commend Ashley Nicole on how she handled the DV and the trauma surrounding it….and Lawrence not forcing Taylor to talk to him but her cousins was so thoughtful. S/O to old man Sim. I know she said this is the end of the Mason’s but I’m going to pray for one more cousin or maybe just a quick little update novella on everyone. This series has been a joy to read, and I’m definitely going to miss my family!!

I knew it

This much anticipated story was worth the wait. I knew Taylor would have a depth that would be unexpected and easy to believe. Taylor is the baby in the bunch, and it was relatable that she would have a slight anxiety shift with all the marriages and babies. Her besties were busy, so Taylor was feeling lonely, and left out. Even Grandma was busy. Sigh!!! Alas, all was not lost... Having a man with the name Mason come along to help Taylor past her boredom was like a sweet touch to the story. The other Mason's storyline was too cute. I laughed out loud many times. Thank you for this reality driven love story for our favorite Mason girl.

Finally Taylor's book!!

This friends to lovers story felt so organic and natural that it feels like the perfect romance for Taylor. Really enjoyed revisiting some of our fav Masons and being introduced to the 'fake' Masons.

Also a beautiful story of watching a 30 something woman find healing post trauma and navigate her life post being laid off.

And one for me

When I saw this was another Mason story I was excited because if you have read any other stories from this family, then you know the Masons are a vibe, but then I was kinda sad seeing this was Taylor’s story because that meant the end of this family saga. I was happy to finally receive Taylor’s story because she has been an intriguing and integral part to this family since book 1.

I enjoyed this story for beginning to end. I loved Taylor and Lawrence together and he was just what she needed. I was frustrated with Taylor’s stubbornness at times, but she finally got out of her own way and allowed herself to embrace her feelings for Lawrence and allow their relationship to develop organically.

I loved that Lawrence moved at Taylor’s pace and provided her with the friendship and companionship she was missing by distancing herself from her cousins because she thought she would be in the way of their new marriages and being parents, but Lawrence provided her with a different perspective every time and I loved that for her because it made her reach out to her family and see that they missed her presence just as much. I also loved that Lawrence made Taylor feel beautiful and seen, unlike her previous situations and dates.

This book had plenty funny elements that had me laughing out loud from the banter between Taylor and Lawrence to Taylor and her cousins joking on each other to desperate exes and awful dates. I also loved the running joke about the other Masons. If you enjoyed the other books in this saga, I think you will like this one as well but it is a bit of a slow burn because of Taylor’s avoidance of men taller than her and fighting her attraction for a certain man that was taller than her who quickly became her best friend.

I absolutely loved Taylor and Lawrence's chance at love. I've been rooting for my girl since the beginning of this series, and her turn at love was on time.

The laughs and jokes were all there and mixed in with some tender moments made this one of my favorite couples.

This can't possibly be the end for the Mason's and the Mason-Mason's. I love them all.

Awe so sweet!

Oh this was such a refreshing read. I love me some Taylor how unique it must be to be the only girl in the Mason clan and we know we love her cousins. It was so cute to see the budding friendship between her and Lawrence shift to lovers. This gave me all the feels and I loved it. I hope this is not the end of the Masons and we get more love marriage and babies.

Beautifully written story!

I was never a fan of Taylor (she annoyed me in Travis’s story ‘Slipped Up in Love’), but I have a newfound respect for her. And let’s be real. As the only girl in that particular generation of the Mason family, her story was required!

What I enjoyed the most was the genuine friendship she and Lawrence shared, and how it blossomed into ‘strong’ like (I feel like love didn’t come into play until the epilogue, and that’s okay!). I loved Lawrence for Taylor. He was so kind, and patient, funny also. The fact that the family knows him is an added bonus. He didn’t rush her into a relationship; he just enjoyed being her friend and let things occur.

I feel like this story bought the realization to some of the Masons that it’s okay to have a life outside of your family. This is why I loved Lawrence. He would jokingly say things about the closeness of the Masons, but in turn would say, ‘yeah I love my family, no doubt, but we aren’t around each other 24/7 like that. We don’t even talk everyday.’ That’s real!

Poor Taylor was floored, but after a while, she found herself enjoying being with just Lawrence. It was different for her, but in a good way, and I loved that for her.

Now his Mama can go jump off of a short curve. She was wrong as hell, but she wanted a return on her investment LMAO!

Can I tell ya’ll how much I love me some Sim? I ain’t gonna lie. I didn’t think the Masons had it in them to be furniture movers! They give ‘I’m a lover not a fighter’ vibes so when he set the things into motion, baby I was here for it! I was so happy when Taylor went to have that one-on-one discussion with him about her ex from college. That really broke my damn heart. But I’m glad he kept that conversation between them two.

There are a couple of things that did not add up based on the previous books. 1: Grandma Vern’s age. In Travis’s story, she was 71 years old, but in this story, she’s already 85?! There’s no way this series spanned 14 years. If so, they’d all be well into their 40s (Sim and Wes would be in their early 50s), and I don't think they've joined the 40+ club yet.

2. In Rod’s story, during the podcast, they were all – with the exception of One and Taylor - very adamant that they didn’t have friends because ‘they didn’t need them’. 🙄 Now here comes Lawrence and his brothers, who are FRIENDS of Wes and Sim’s since elementary school, and whose last name is ALSO Mason. Umm-hmm. 😒

Even Wes surprised me when he popped up over at Lawrence’s house because he had nothing to do. Cuz, you have 29 cousins that you are super close to, and NONE of them were available to hang out? What about the ones in your clique, sans Sim? I think he was a little lonely and didn’t know how to adjust to life outside of Sim, and that’s sad.

This was a really good novel and a little sad because it’s the last one of the Mason family series. I’ve enjoyed reading about this family over the years, but I’m still hopeful that the author may one day change her mind and write about one or two more cousins, or even the uncles, but if not, I’ve got ten books on my Kindle that I can always go back and read whenever I need a Mason fix.

Five stars for this one!

I always enjoy the Mason family, and this book was no different. This story had humor, seriousness, companionship, mention of past domestic violence, romance, and most of all, family love.

Taylor had a story! She wanted what her best friends and cousins had, but something was holding her back.

Lawrence from the other Mason family appears, and it has her looking at him, but she wants to keep him in the friend zone. Uzzzz, not so fast!

Well, the heart wants what the heart wants! They become friends, best friends, and then more than best friends. He was that best friend who encouraged her to talk to someone about her long-held secret. He didn't pressure her and moved at her pace. Taylor finally got the courage to confide to Simeon.

I was happy to see that Taylor ventured outside of her family and found other frienships.

Taylor and Lawerence spend quality time, laughs, and outings together. They developed into much more than either expected.

His mom and ex Teagon tried to be problems, but Lawernce was not having it. He made it perfectly clear to Teagon that they were through and to move on. His grandma wasn't having it and told his mother to get out of his business and for Teagon never to show her face again at their family functions cause she wasn't family.

I loved how he flirted, she flirted, and how they developed a real friendship. How this friendship turned into an amazing genuine love between the two of them. He staked his claim for a lifetime with Taylor, and that's all he wrote.

I sure would like two more Mason books. Who knows what the author might surprise us with. Happy Reading!

another one bites the dust!

Taylor - the big one not the little one, has been having no luck in the dating department. She goes on dates 1-2 times a month but they don’t measure up - literally. She tends to date height challenged men who do not spark her interest.
Meanwhile, Lawrence, a very good childhood friend of her cousin Wes, is free from a Luke warm relationship with no intention of going back, no matter what his mama thinks. He’s just chillin with the biggest crush on his dream girl that he never thought he’d have a chance with.
Life is happening for them - Taylor trying to figure out her job situation, adjusting to life on the outside of the Masons circle, and her crappy dating life and how all of this is making her lonely and depressed. Lawrence is a beacon of friendship to her with his listening ear, sound advice, and availability - so much so that they become true friends and confidants - with potential for so much more.
I loved this book and the characters! You can never go wrong with a Mason and this book has given us 2 great ones. Taylor has always been my favorite Mason and I couldn’t wait for her book because she deserved to be happy in love. I enjoyed their banter and how organic their relationship flowed. Their chemistry was off the chart and their attraction came off of them in waves.
How many more Masons do we have left now? Maybe Fatima can get one!
This was an awesome read!

I had been wai👏🏾ting👏🏾 for my girl, Taylor, to get her own book. Now I love me some Mason men, but Taylor always had a good/fun cameo in their books. Plus she’s the only girl cousin, so I wanted to see how the Mason men would react to Taylor finding someone. (Spoiler alert: they behaved.)

Like the other Mason books, this book was hilarious. It felt like every page a character was saying something ridiculous or doing and/or reacting to something in a hilarious way. The hilarity was very natural. The dialogue also felt real as hell.

I thought Lawrence and Taylor were cute, especially Lawrence. That man was sprung, but he was cool about it…in the beginning when Taylor was oblivious. After feelings were known, Lawrence had no chill lol and I loved that for Taylor.

The subplot of Taylor feeling lost and a burden felt very relatable. (I’m also one of the last single people with no kids in my friend and family groups.) I liked how Lawrence helped Taylor navigate her feelings and encouraged her to express them.

We also had cameos from some of the Masons who had books previously and updates. I was happy we got to see quite a bit of my fave, Simeon. I hope the next Mason book (if there is one) involves Fatima. I really liked her.

And before I go, I would like to say Lawrence’s mama and Teagan can both go to hell and bring Adrian with them 😁

Finally the Mason story I've been waiting to read!

Taylor Mason’s story is finally here, and it does not disappoint! As the only girl in the Mason family, I’ve been eagerly waiting to dive into her journey, and this heartfelt, warm Christmas story was everything I hoped for.

The book beautifully balances festive cheer with meaningful depth, addressing Taylor’s past with sensitivity and grace. It’s not a holiday romance—it’s a story about healing, family, and love, wrapped in the magic of the season.

I adored the dynamics within the Mason family, and Taylor’s journey felt authentic and relatable. The moments of joy, laughter, and reflection made this book a perfect holiday read.

If you’re looking for a story that will warm your heart and keep you smiling, I highly recommend this one. It’s a must-read for fans of the Mason family and anyone who loves a cozy Christmas romance.

I loved it!!!🥹🥹🥹

I could not have asked for a better story for Taylor Renee! I can't stop smiling.😁 And the last names, 🤌🏾 *chef's kiss*. I really, really liked how realistic her emotions were with all the recent family changes. Her feelings were realistic and very valid. To that end, I liked that this book wasn't overwhelmingly Mason because it fit the changing dynamics she was going through emotionally. I love that Taylor ventured out of her Masons to find her happiness. The story with her ex saddened me and I'm glad Lawrence encouraged her to finally open up to one of her cousins. And shout out to Old Man Sim for coming through on her behalf!💪🏾 This was a wonderful book!

One of my favorite fictional families, the Mason clan! What is the likelihood a childhood friend & you have the same surnames and you’re not related… a serendipitous taylor made rendezvous 😉😍🤷🏾‍♀️⁉️”And One For Me: A Mason Family Novel (The Mason Family Saga - Book 10) was a delightful read even with a new generation of Masonites (North) brewing, the banter between the thirty cousins was/is and will always be endearing, infectious & palpable. Ask the nameless dude, recuperating from a mysterious designer 😬🤬 (keeping it classy respectful) beat down regretting the days he tortured Taylor Renee Mason and encountered her fifteen prior. Well karma is a female 🐩‼️Nevertheless, I’m excited for Taylor & Lawrence. They compliment each other perfectly, like a taylor made total package 🤩‼️

That’s My Girl!

This was my Christmakwanzakah gift from AshleyNicole. I absolutely love the Mason family. I’m always happy to get a new book about them. This one was extra special because I’ve wanted Taylor’s story for so long. It did not disappoint. Lawrence was wonderful. His adoration for Taylor was the sweetest. I wanted to shake her for fighting it. Thankfully, she got out of her own way. This was such a fun love story, but there was some juicy drama thrown in. I was here for it all. I can’t decide on my favorite couple, but Lawrence and Taylor are definitely in the running.

Wonderful!!!

I absolutely LOVED Taylor's story. Ashley Nicole writes about this close-knit family so well, that I'm truly gonna miss them if she ends the series (we still have other cousins... wink, wink 😉)

Taylor Mason is the only girl in the group of 30 grandkids and navigating a huge family, being tall, and having a love life hasn't been easy for her. Thankfully Lawrence Mason (no relation) helps make Taylor's transition easy.. and also help her realize, no matter what family will always have her back.

Hopefully Ashley doesn't end the Mason Family Saga with Taylor (I need more babies) but if she does, she's done a wonderful job with the 10 she has written

Taylor Mason

I absolutely love the Mason family and I've been waiting for Taylor's book. Who knew Taylor had so much going on in her past. I mean we did know something happened, but not this. I love Lawrence for Taylor because they've known each other forever and he's not like any of the guys she's dated...EVER. Lawrence is in his own class and he shows our girl how she's supposed to be handled. I need Fatima to become a Mason-Mason and Teagan and Lawrence mama worked my last nerve. Y'all, all these Mason babies, this family needs a whole farm and many acres. I hope we see more of the Mason's in some capacity.

TAYLOR MASON

I loved this and loved she finally got her HEA. She deserved it so much. The book was just as fun as the other Masons were and I’m so happy we got an update on all the cousins. I loved the friend dynamic as well with Cheyanne and Leslie. This added to the perfection of the Masons and I just can’t imagine them being done. I hope we get at least yearly updates because my last couple years has always been looking forward to which cousin was next. Taylor had so much depth to her and I loved that we got to see it and her. I can’t wait for an update or another cousin lol I’m definitely hopeful. It’s a must read!!!

THIS CANT BE THE END!!

Taylor's story did not disappoint. The masons have had me in a chokehold for the last 8 months. And for her to hook up with another Mason and not have to change her name - perfection!! Lawrence was the perfect friend to her, and they both completely supported each other without a lot of drama.

But there is NO way this is the end of the Masons. I'm gonna let AshleyNicole take a break but why introduce us to Wes and Fa if they weren't next? We need to see Taylor have a baby. This book was worth the wait. I read it in a morning.

Definitely the one for each other

This ending to the family series was so cute and just right. I wanted more the way I was devouring this book I would not complain is AshleyNicole gave an extension 👀 (hint hint). But this family is a family that you would want or already have and appreciate even more. Lawrence and Taylor’s chemistry was swooning the way they melted into each other Taylor couldn’t even deny it after a while because big Larry has been sweating for her and clocking it 🤣. I enjoyed this thoroughly could not put it down so once again an ending to a big one 👌

Lawrence and Taylor

I’m sad to see the Masons go but I did throughly enjoy reading Taylor and Lawrence’s love story. I hāte that she was in an abusive relationship for two whole years and felt too ashamed to reach out to her male cousins for help because they would’ve shut that down expeditiously! I like how patient Lawrence was with Taylor. I felt that the epilogue should’ve had more of a time jump to show more of a glimpse of their future since this is the last Mason book in my opinion. I’m going to miss them and I look forward to seeing what’s coming up next.

Taylor's Turn

Yaaaay, it was finally Taylor's turn, and I love that it was with a trusted family friend and how smitten Lawrence was with her. I also really LOVE that even in her HEA, she will still be a Mason. That part was too cute. What I didn't love, however, was how short Taylor's story seemed. Even with all the steamy scenes, the laugh out loud moments and the other Mason's family drama, I feel like she deserved more and I hope that she will be the first in the family to get a book 2.

Excellent read

Excellent read, I loved the characters and storyline. Taylor finally finds love. She had a traumatic relationship in college that made her cautious in her love life. A long time family friend, Lawrence gave comfort and understanding when Taylor was down. brought. Their chemistry and connection was fate. This is their journey to love. It was great catching up with the Mason family. I hope it’s not the end. I think there’s still more to explore. Maybe the other Masons. Fatima seems like a fun character to explore.

I procrastinated on reading this book because I wasn't ready to let my Mason's go. However, I loved every minute of Taylor's story. My heart went out to her when she revealed what happened to her in college. She struggled so much, but I was glad she released the issues she had. Lawrence was exactly the man she needed. He was patient and made sure she was fine throughout all of their encounters. I was cackling at his cousin Adrian because boy, please, lol. Now, Lawrence's mama is a piece of work, and I'm glad she got put in her place. His ex was dead wrong, and she knew it. I think this may be my favorite Mason story of all. I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next.

Taylor Mason-Mason

I loved every ounce of this book! I’ve been waiting for Taylors book since book 1 and the wait for her didn’t disappoint. Lawrence aka Big Larry was THE PERFECT match for her. I loved how gentle he was with her. Taylor’s been beating up boys all her life, but Lawrence came on the scene and made her blush and giggle and soft! Taylor soft?! Who would’ve thunk it?! I loved it for her and love looks good on my girl! I can’t wait for my physicals to come in the mail!
