Eros has always been the good guy. His success can be attributed to his hard work and always doing what's right. Raised on his family ranch, he refused to allow the city to change him. He does things his way or not at all. Until she comes along.
Lev might have fallen into Mr. Perfect's bed the night of her best friend's wedding, but he's oh-so-wrong for her. She hates love, roses, and, worst of all, Valentine's Day. Too bad for Lev, ditching Mr. Perfect isn't so easy when you find out he's your new boss and says all the right things. The man is a walking green flag, so when she tells him she's not interested in pursuing anything, she expects that he'll back off. That would, after all, be the right thing to do. But being the good guy is on hold where she’s concerned, she just doesn’t know it yet.
It was alright, but I liked the first book more than this one.
Lev and Eros met at the wedding of the MCs from Book 1, and Eros knew right away that Lev was the one, and he was going to make her his whatever it takes.
She's not really into the whole love thing, or at least that's what she thinks, thanks to her messed-up and toxic parents. She thinks she's better off alone and wants nothing to do when it comes to love.
Eros, on the other hand, is patiently waiting for his special someone. He grew up with loving parents who showed him what love looks like. And if he did decide to pursue it, he wanted that kind of love for his future.
Lev put on a snippy act with Eros and made a bit of pulling away. But deep down, he understood where she's coming from. Her antics didn’t stop him from getting to know her. He was patient, giving her the space she needed while showing that he was sincere and fully committed.
It didn't take long for Lev to give in, after all she knew that Eros is one of the good guys.
This is a novella, and everything moved fast. It's insta-love at its finest. There's some drama caused by annoying side characters, but it got resolved right away.
Overall, it was an okay read. Short enough to pass some time, and it had a cute epilogue.
Book info: - Novella - Dual V - Insta-love - Toxic parents - Grumpy (h) x Sunshine (H) - No cheating, OM - Fade to black (though some fooling around scenes were on page) - HEA (yrs later, married with 2 kids)
Notes: - OW. Not really, but when Eros met with potential buyers for his company, the dates of these men attempted to flirt and seduce him. They even ignored Lev even though she was sitting right beside him. Thankfully, Eros didn't care about them and was only interested in Lev. - Separation (??). When Lev's parents caused some trouble for Eros, she felt ashamed of their actions and for bringing problems into his life. So she told him she was done with him and then took off to her best friend's place. But this only lasted a few hours and Eros went after her.

DUAL VIRGINS! *booty shake! happy dance!* Thank you Lucy Darling! 😀🤗 Safe No cheating No OM/OW No separation No gross condom use Sort of third act break up (h thought her baggage would destroy H, so she wanted to spare him, but he was having none of it and knew that she pushed him away for his sake...it was remedied right away) HEA
Lucy Darling has embraced DV romances!! It makes my heart so happy!! *extra happy dance!*
This is the story of Lev, a make up loving sketch artist, who dresses in all black and has 'resting bitch face' to ward people away from her to protect her fragile heart. Her parents have such a toxic relationship, not to mention abusive when it comes to her as well, that she rolls her eyes in disgust at anything to do with love and romance. She doesn't believe in it, but in comes a tall man who fills his suit nicely, who plops his fine behind in a chair next to Lev. Sporting a dashing smile on his face and a burning gaze in his eyes directed at her, he greets her with his sexy southern drawl. She is not immune, but that is what gets her to close herself off as she, like he, never felt that way for anyone.
Quote, "The thought hasn’t even left my head when a man sits down next to me. My stomach flips when I see who it is. I spotted him during the wedding. I got a clear view of everyone when I walked Gabriella down the aisle. I'm not sure what drew my eyes to him. I do know that he is damn hot, that's for sure." end quote
Quote, "I’d easily pluck her up from her chair and put her in my lap. She has the kind of hips that make a man have ideas. Ideas that will lock you to them in every way. I’ve never felt that before today. Before her." end quote
They are at Gabriella and Caleb's wedding (the couple in the excellent DV book "Say I Do"). Gabriella is Lev's only friend and Caleb went to college with Eros. Our hero's name is Eros, but he doesn't share love and the act of love with anyone BUT Lev. *swoon* She is closed off, but her feisty nature and sass just brings a grin to Eros's face. He already knows she is his forever, but he has to work for it. What Lev doesn't know is that the handsome man she is conversing with is going to be her future boss, and THAT was so exciting to see when she realizes that fact! It was as entertaining as I hoped. She lost her job as a barista, so now she is counting on this new job to get her out of the hell that is her life with her parents. Little does she know that Eros already plans on making her his in all ways, she just has to ask. I love these two and how Eros NEVER lets up on giving Lev what she wants, she just has to ask, but when it's to let her go, well that is when the dominating country boy, traps her in his arms and locks them tightly around her. There are sequences of events that unfold, such as her parents being overbearing, abusive, thieving and making her life miserable, but she finds what a daughter needs from Eros's parents. She gives herself to romance, love and the warm feelings Eros gives her, especially knowing that her man is all hers in all ways! There were context clues but it isn't until the third act that we knew for sure he gave his innocence and every part of him to only her. When he made it clear, I just turned into a pile of goo, right along side Lev. We know Lev has no experience in love, sex and intimacy. The erotica and sex scenes were so hot, but that is after I knew for sure it was all new to him. I intend on reading this book again, now knowing for a fact it is DV! I am rubbing my hands in anticipation, because I know reading this again will be a whole new experience!
Quote, “To be completely honest with you, Lev, I have never struggled with self-control when it comes to lust and sex before. I’m not used to having to do it, but you have it ripping me apart from the inside to get to you.” “Really?” A sexy smile spreads across her face. “Show me.” end quote I have to admit, I was confused when I read this part. We had context clues that pointed to Eros never being interested in women before Lev, but I had a bit of doubt because he was comfortable with sex when he first ate her out. When we got to this point and I read that he "never struggled with self control when it comes to lust and sex", I thought he meant that he can leisurely have sex when he gets the urge, like a transaction. The dread that that could be the case did have my hackles rising but it quickly dissipated when I read that he gave her his innocence when he took hers. I understood that he never felt lust or need to be with a woman before HER and not only that, but his lust and need for Lev is so intense, he is ready to burst out of his skin! I am so sorry I doubted you Lucy Darling!
Quote, (they give each other their virginity) "When I know she’s lost in the pleasure and afterglow of it, I thrust fully inside of her, taking her innocence and giving her mine in return. Lev lets out a gasp, while I groan. She’s too damn tight, and I can’t hold on. I come, buried to the hilt inside of her." end quote 😍🥰
Quote (he tells her he waited for her and gave her every part of himself to her), "I lean down, pressing my forehead to hers. "Let me untwist you, Lev. Let go and trust that I've got you. I've got us." “I want to have you too.” “I’ve waited for you my whole life, darling. You’re the only woman that has ever had any part of me.” A smile lights up her entire face. “I’m sorry I ran. I love you so much. I just wanted—" I kiss her. I don’t need her to explain. " end quote This scene is what I crave in romance! It never fails to make me swoon and gasp, clasping my hands to my chest in sheer happiness, when our hero tells his woman that he waited to give his body as well as his heart to her and her alone. She gave every part of herself to her man especially her innocence, so the sheer bliss she must feel knowing that he did the same and no other woman knows or will ever know him intimately, is so powerful it never fails to move me! Without it, to me, there is no romance.
Do yourself a kindness and read this love story! You will want an Eros for yourself! It goes without saying that I will be rereading both "Say You're Mine" right after I reread Book 1 "Say I Do", of course both are DV, one true love stories. It makes my hopelessly romantic heart so happy that Lucy Darling is embracing DV romance. I am all smiles and I am crossing my fingers and toes that she gifts us virgin heroes who wait for love and give their bodies only to the heroine who in turn gives her innocence to her man. There is NOTHING more magical and romantic. Happy reading everyone!
3.5 stars ⭐️ Say You’re Mine is a boss/employee romance Lev and Eros met at their friend’s wedding, and sparks flew. He knew she was the one, but she needed to be convinced. Especially when she found out that Eros was her boss. Lev didn’t believe in love, because her parents were abusive towards her and love was a foreign concept to them. Eros didn’t give up and they were possessive with each other. The pacing was good for a novella. There wasn’t a lot when it came to spice. The drama came from Lev’s insecurities and her parents. For 150 pages, it was a complete story that hit every beat.
Is a wedding the perfect place for a new romance? I think Lev and Eros would think so!
This couple doesn't see it coming, but when they hit it off at their respective friend's party, a relationship full of need and mischief blossoms. What I liked about them is that she is a little rebel with a secret longing for love and he is a big man with an obsession to give her all she needs at the right time.
I enjoyed how sure he is about his feelings and I loved the time they spend at work where she starts to feel useful and accepted. It's a cute romance of opposites attract, with a girl who has seen injustice finding a man who puts her first. So I think this is a sweet morsel for Valentine's.
It's got the right amount of what we love and a bit of unconventional. I liked how the romance has a resolution that fits the characters' feelings and the second epilogue is just wonderful.
My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Lev and Eros meet at Gabriella and Caleb’s (Say I Do) wedding, he knows she’s his one and only. Lev is attracted to him but sadly she does not believe in love, her parents are extremely toxic and she has no gauge for a loving relationship. They spend time together at the wedding exploring the venue and even dry hump each other to completion. They later go to his room and raid the mini bar and watch movies in bed. The next morning she panics and would have run but Eros stops her, they enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then she leaves. No sex since Eros is playing the long game. He hopes it doesn’t backfire since he had not told her he is her new boss come Monday morning. (Quick recap, Lev lost her job when Caleb had the coffee shop she and Gabriella worked at closed down. Caleb asked Eros to find her a job since Gabriella felt bad she lost her job because of what Caleb did.) Lev is shocked to see Eros again especially at her new job, then she finds out he owns the company. They talk and he tells her he wants to be her friend and she’s in charge in their relationship. Thankfully she comes to her senses quickly and sees that Eros is a good guy and he has her best interest. When her dad confronts her and gets abusive Eros has him arrested, her mom steals her savings to help bail him out. She also, kicks Lev out. Eros is at her place and takes her home with him. He moves her in and they start sleeping in the same bed. Their only sexy times are still only oral. Moves to sex when they go to a business dinner and the dates of the two brothers he’s meeting with hit on him. Lev calls them out and they leave the dinner. Eros never paid any attention to the women, he only has eyes for Lev. Emotions are high on the drive home and they finally have sex, dual virgins! Things are going well for them until her dad shows up drunk and Eros punches him. The two brothers from the dinner meeting are there and film it. Her mom shows up and the police are called. Lev worried her toxic family is tarnishing Eros’ image tells him they are over. She leaves for Gabriella’s house and he follows. I love yous and a proposal. Years later with two kids and them very happy together.

“I’ll murder you in your sleep.” “So you are going to share a bed again with me.”
Say You're Mine is the second book in Lucy Darling's Falling in Love series, and it’s the perfect read for Valentine’s Day!
Lev Valentina grew up witnessing a toxic relationship between her parents, leaving her disillusioned with love and marriage. But that doesn’t stop her from attending her best friend’s wedding—where she meets Eros Cupid, a charming man who knows exactly what to say and do. Their chemistry is undeniable, leading to a passionate night together. However, overwhelmed by her emotions, Lev runs away and tries to keep her distance. That plan quickly falls apart when she discovers that her new job is working for none other than Eros himself. While Lev needs the job, Eros is determined to give her not just what she wants, but also what she never thought she needed—love. Can he change her mind?
This short and steamy romance is a delightful mix of opposites-attract tension, witty dialogue, and sizzling chemistry, all wrapped up in a heartwarming happy ending. Despite its fast pace, the story flows naturally, thanks to the characters’ undeniable connection and all the twists along the way. My favorite moment? When Lev gets jealous and finally stands up for herself—such a satisfying scene!
If you’re in the mood for a fun, romantic read, treat yourself to Say You're Mine!
I liked this story a lot. It was entertaining and enjoyable for the most part. I do wish that we got to find out what happened with Lev’s parents. Did Lev’s mom ever find out the truth about her husband? Did Lev end up finding out the truth about her dad? Gabriella was a great friend and was so sweet to stick up for Lev. I kind of loved that she had Lev’s back even with Eros. Eros was all kinds of yummy. He really got me with his whole thing of just ask me for what you want. Lev wasn’t sure about Eros but she was definitely interested and drawn to him. She had a hard time asking for what she wanted but Eros helped her overcome it. Eros had great parents and they were so wonderful with and to Lev. The way that they both tried to make sure that Lev knew that they supported Eros choosing her was enough to make me want to cry a little bit. I loved Lev and Eros’s happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.
I liked the beginning when she didn't want anything to do with him 🤷🤷😂😂
But then she finds out he's her boss (after her roommate and friend and she gets fired from their previous job aka book 1 that I haven't read yet). She insists that they're just friends at work and then she gets upset when he treats her like a employee/friend 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
She gets jealous and annoying when she dresses up and outs on makeup for a business dinner and thinks that he doesn't think she looks good so she tells the people there that she's his employee 🤦🤦🤦🤦 then the girls who came with two men at the restaurant are eye fucking the H (although he doesn't care about them at all). She rushes out of the dinner but he comes after her.
Honestly, the fact that she's so bitchy because of her abusive home life didn't negate her bad attitude and idiocy throughout this book. And it was only like....124 pages so it shouldnt have been this prevalent.
Lev is Gabriela’s best friend in book 1. She has a very dysfunctional family and does not believe in love. Until Eros breaks all her walls. He is her savior and her healer. He is so patient with her. Possessive, a gentleman outside, but transforms into a dom in bed, alpha, super intelligent, genius, knows what he wants. And what I loved the most is that he was waiting for his One!! He didn’t let any woman seduce him. He didn’t even pay attention to them. Just Lev!! He had eyes only for Lev. And he is a Virgin!!! I love dual virgin stories!!! Their one and only with each other. I didn’t want the book to end!! Book 1 is also a beautiful book. I read these in Kindle Unlimited… heading to buy them!!
SAFE -Dual virgins -some push by the h but the H wasn’t having it -OW try to flirt with H but he didn’t pay attention -no cheating -no love triangle -HEA
- Black cat fmc - Rich / poor - Novella - Insta-love - No owd/omd
They meet at their friends wedding, and Eros (H) know right away that Lev (h) is his forever, and starts pursue her. He also know she’s the newest hire at his business, but keeps this firm the h, bc he know this would make her keep her distant.
h doesn’t trust love, based on how her parents treats her and each other. H knows what he wants and go for it.
Safety: - dual V - H only eyes for h - Some girls try to flirt with H at a business dinner, they are mean to the h, but H isn’t paying attention because he’s focus is on h, and really doesn’t care or like the other girls at all.

Lev attends her best friend's wedding even though she doesn't really believe in love, HEA and marriage. Her toxic and crappy parents kind of ruined all that for her. She runs into Eros and Eros is instantly smitten with the grumpy, snarky woman. Eros just knows he found his future wife and now he just has to show her that love, happiness and devotion isn't just a fantasy. Eros fights for his woman and nothing and nobody can stop him from getting their HEA. Not even Lev herself. Instalove, sweet, steamy, romantic, fun to read, great banter, obsessed hero, he falls first and totally safe (dual virgins - I freaking love that😏😏) with an awesome HEA😍😍😍😍😍
I loved that, even though Lev started out not loving love, that Lucy Darling did not make us readers suffer through chapters and chapters of negativity and Lev's hot and cold.
She made her point and we moved on from there and got to enjoy, and love, Eros and Lev together!
This book is the perfect mix of sweet and sexy, exactly what you want when you've had a shite day and need to end it off with some good lovin' (even if that lovin' is reading about someone else's lovin' ... 'cause you're not getting your own 🤭)
Jokes aside, settle in with this one, you'll love it!
Lucy Darling is an automatic one-click for me. I know going in that she will deliver a read with characters that are relatable. The romance is off the charts. The chemistry between the leads is sizzling. The dialogue and banter are spot on. You feel part of it, and you can feel the romance in the story. The biggest thing for me though is the story is jam packed with every box ticked. In such a quick read she manages to do what a lot of authors can’t in a full length book, and that is make a story come to life without all the unnecessary drama. No cheating. No unrealist leads that are perfect. She gives us leads that we can relate to. The characters are genuine. If you haven’t discovered this author, you need to. She is one of my favourite authors to read.
This is a sweet novella about Eros and Lev - both we met in the previous story. He wants her and will do anything he has to in order to win her over. Little does she know she’s about to be working for him and he will make sure she no longer has any worries. He’s a great book boyfriend in my opinion!!!
Eros was the exact perfect man for Lev. She’d been dealt a terrible hand in the family department and didn’t believe in love or happy ever after. Then Lev met Eros. He was one of the good ones and he had eyes only for Lev. I loved her sass and that she had the strength to step out of her comfort zone to pursue something that scared her - love. Every Lucy Darling book is a treat that I savour.
I've been DYING to read this novella. Lev and Eros are amazing together. I loved them. Eros knew how to read her so amazingly. That man knew from the start that she was the one for him. I loved it! The story has a nice pace and it's mildly smutty. I loved every second.
Lev has always seen love as a bad thing, especially since her parents do nothing but fight and are never there for her. When she meets Eros at her best friends wedding she runs in the other direction after thinking that falling for him will only lead to heartache. Eros however plans to make Lev his no matter what it takes!!
“I know what you're doing. You are trying to rent space in my head; rent is due upfront, and negativity doesn't cover it." I stand up, ready to go. "I'd rather be someone's shot of whiskey than everyone's cup of tea." I pick up Eros's whiskey from off the table and shoot it back. Cheers to being unique.
Loved Lev and Eros. Lev has commit issues because of her terrible parents but Eros tales one look and it’s instalove for him. She is the only hint he wants. This is an excellent love story, fast paced read, steamy and hot and Lev and Eros are great characters. Loved it.
A fun sequel to the first book. I liked the heroine but she felt a little boring and she didn't really feel different as described. I wanted to see her do makeup or actually design something. It seemed like all that work to make her character different was just left behind. I like the Hero. Everything was just fine.
Eros knew instantly that Lev was the one he would keep forever. He just needed to convince her he was the real deal and get her to fall for him and look past him being her new boss. Eros will do anything she asks of him but he will stop at nothing to make her his forever.
This story and book one(say I do) have me completely locked all the way in. I’m reading it feeling like I’m the one getting chased after by these swoonworthy men in charge, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Seriously I’m over the amount of regular obsession when it comes to Eros and Lev. They were giving all the butterflies the whole entire time! The story was great, and the end was super sweet!
I loved this! Lev is a bit rough around the edges (or at least gives off that vibe). Eros sees right through that and is taken with her at first sight. He’s a bit dreamy with everything he did to prove his love & devotion for her. Absolutely adored this!
So good. Eros is exactly the right man for Lev. Lev has learned to never expect a happy ending and to always hide her feelings. Eros gives her everything she needs and wants all the time. There are happily ever afters and Lev gets a beautiful one with Eros. Short, sweet and steamy.
