In Evergreen Falls, the line between cheer and fear is razor thin.

As a forensic psychologist, I thought I understood the shadows that lurk in the hearts of men. But when my peaceful home town is shattered by a string of gruesome murders, I find myself drawn into a web of intrigue and desire. The killer, dubbed the Christmas Reaper, taunts the town with macabre displays inspired by "The Twelve Days of Christmas."

At first, I didn't make the connection. How could I? Silas Knight, charismatic and enigmatic, entered my life like a storm, his path intertwining with mine. He senses my forbidden desires, seeing through the cool professional facade I wear.

As the body count rises, so does my obsession with Silas. I find myself questioning everything I thought I knew about good and evil. My sanity hangs in the balance as I'm pulled into a twisted dance of passion and peril, unable to resist the forbidden temptation he offers.

Through his eyes, I see a reflection of my own dark longings. Silas understands the monster that dwells within me, and he fuels my desire to embrace it. As the truth unfolds and I realize his role in the killings, I must confront my deepest fears and make a choice that will forever change my destiny.

Will I succumb to the darkness that calls to me, or will I become the next victim of the Christmas Reaper?

This book felt like it was written in a hurry. Details didn’t line up, repetitive sentences (you’re mine, claiming her as mine), and I just felt like this was not her best work. she has definitely written better.

Is it a Christmas story? It’s set around Christmas and we have a s3rial k!ller enacting the 12 days of Christmas, extremely well imo 🤭 he may utilise people for this but if a jobs worth doing…

Our FMC, Clara a forensic psychologist visits home and ends up being called up-in by the local police department to consult on the ‘Christmas Reaper’ m*rders. Thus we are lead through a series of macabre settings, their attempts to pinpoint the perp are met with nothing.

Our MMC, Silas is in finance and happens upon Clara in a cafe, they hit it off and their relationship starts to move forward, as you would expect there’s more to him and we soon find out a lot more about each of them.

Totally enjoyed this read, the m*rders were fascinating and a fab way of doing it around Christmas. It flowed really well, and the smutmas was in the sack load 🤣🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

“The havoc you wreak in my mind is a beautiful destruction.”

This quote saved this from getting a one star. It may be breadcrumbing me, feeding me bullshit and giving me one good thing to make it seem better, but whatever. I’m rly not in the mood to be too harsh.

Glorified bdsm porn w a coverup plot of supposed independent woman boss babe fmc and sexy stalker mmc that turns out to be who she’s hunting down in a christmas themed murder case!!😱

This was shocking, I’m going to beg God for forgiveness for misusing my eyes and reading such bullshit.

This was my first Selena Winters read!

It was fun!! I love the storyline of "Im the killer you're looking for" 10/10!
His dirty talk was out of this world. With that being said it was a little repetitive with what he was saying and her inner feeling. I understand we are acknowledging the feelings and trying to bring them to light , but it just seemed like it was stated too many times.
The killings were also so intriguing! Going along with the song? Genius! He really did seem like an artist working 🫣
my butt cheeks were clenched reading the last few chapters! I was soooo on edge! it was overall a great read!

I've been hesitating a lot about how much to rate this book. There have been moments that have not convinced me and others that have hooked me more.
The least is how quickly Silas and Clara start the relationship, especially on her part. Then you start to understand the characters a little better but there have been moments that...
When Clara tells him that they are a little broken, a little??? When a man leaves you corpses like someone who leaves you details or gives you flowers, it's not very good and balanced. And how well she accepts her dark side, I didn't see many doubts in the psychologist.
But well, it has been entertaining.

This book was amazing. Only reason I add 4 instead of 5 stars is because some details didn’t match and felt like it wasn’t proofread. Like, he didn’t turn the car off for a specific reason, and the next page she mentions he had to turn the car on to leave… or he took her dress off then next page his hand went up her skirt? These small details took me out the zone of the book. Other than that, excellent book! Super spicy and amazing.

You’ve got no idea how much I’m obsessing. I want to consume you, brand you as mine. I want to be under your skin, in your head, and in your heart.

Another week, another new town filled to the brim with excitement and chaos as the circus finds itself setting up again. For Phoenix, this would be a city that'll hold a lasting brand on him as it's where he first laid eyes on Tilly and found himself so deeply entwined in her from the very first look. Mystified by the attractive and mysterious stranger, Tilly finds herself lusting for him even as everything inside of her is screaming to stay away. Stalking her and using his niche to his advantage, he gained access to the cameras and microphones and began settling into a routine of watching. Spying him at her community college; she's attending to gain a degree in coding to help create the graphics in video games she knows she's in too deep as the two begin a sexually charged relationship almost from their first conversation. Unable to get him from her own mind, she never expected him to kidnap her and fake her own death. Keeping her sedated and drugged, he falsified information to show she died in a car accident which left her family and friends grieving. Fighting him every chance she can, she escapes twice and thanks to the tracker he implanted in her wrist has managed to get to her every time.

“I was just a boy, ten years old, scared and alone. You were supposed to take care of me, to be my safe haven. But instead, you stole my childhood, piece by piece. You groomed me, manipulated me into believing your sick games were love.” My voice trembles, the hurt little boy I once was colliding with the hardened man I am now.

Walking home from tending to a concession stand one night, she's captured and drug to a warehouse fifty miles away as she now has a starring role in a horrible ordeal. Taking by Veronica, she never realized how devious a foster mother could be until she learned of the sickening sexual history between her and ten year old Phoenix. Suffering four years of abuse, he ran away and joined the carnival at fourteen, never looking back at the monster he needed saved from. When he saw the footage of Tilly bound and helpless, he recruited Tyson (the carnival's owner) to help him get her back. Seeing the cute to her arm and chest, he only saw red as he was forced to let Veronica walk away. With her chair locked into explosives, they made the difficult choice to let Veronica walk away but that would be truly short lived. Captured and tortured, she felt every ounce of pain Phoenix felt as the bond between him and Tilly only grew. As their story began wrapping up, he would bow to her and on one knee ask for her hand to marry. Letting go of everything else she agreed wholeheartedly to him.

You can’t deny what’s between us. Embrace it. Surrender to me. I’ll show you pleasures beyond your wildest dreams. I’ll dominate every part of you.

🎄🔪 DECEMBER READS | Silent Stalker — Selena Winters 🔪🎄
⭐ 4★ | 🎧 Audiobook

Clara comes back to town to visit her father, who’s battling dementia, and somehow ends up consulting on a serial killer case where the murders mirror the Twelve Days of Christmas. Festive? Absolutely not. Unsettling? Very much yes — and I was hooked from the start.

Our girl Clara is smart, observant, and just unhinged enough to be relatable. She’s got a thing for danger, darkness… and yes, masked men on TikTok. Same, bestie. Watching her inner world clash with her professional instincts was one of my favorite parts of this story.

Enter Silas — charming, wealthy, intense, and very much off. Their meet-cute is orchestrated (spilled coffee and all), and from there the tension spirals fast. Clara knows she’s playing with fire, but she’s drawn to it anyway. And Silas? He doesn’t just want her — he wants to claim her and strip her down to who she really is.

Their connection is immediate, twisted, and unapologetically dark. The relationship leans hard into obsession and moral grayness, and while it won’t be for everyone, it absolutely worked for me. The audiobook made it even better — the narrators captured the tension, the unease, and the intimacy really well.

The reveal of Silas as the killer doesn’t send Clara running — instead, it forces her to confront the part of herself that’s always been drawn to the dark. He didn’t do it despite her… he did it for her. And that’s where this book really commits to its theme.

Yes, there are wild moments (including an unexpected farm setting 👀), some action-heavy scenes, and a final act that leans fully into “us against the world.” The escape, the hideout, the quiet domestic moments mixed with danger — all of it felt very them. The Christmas tree, the gifts, the French toast? Unhinged but weirdly tender.

The ending delivers a solid HEA for readers who love dark romance that doesn’t apologize for itself, capped off with a proposal that fits the story perfectly.

Final thoughts:
Dark, festive, messy, obsessive, and morally questionable — Silent Stalker knows exactly what kind of book it is. If you like your romance twisted, your men dangerous, and your heroines self-aware enough to choose the darkness anyway, this one’s worth the ride.

Synopsis
There is a serial killer on the loose in a little town and since each murder precisely fits a Christmas theme, the serial killer is nicknamed the Christmas Reaper.

FMC Clara visits her hometown for the holidays. She happens to be a forensic psychologist and agrees to help work on the Christmas Realer case.

MMC Silas is a tattooed man in finance with blue eyes, and possibly 6’5”. He has been obsessively stalking Clara. He sees how she is drawn to darkness and hopes to help her satisfy her desires.

Review
The Christmas themed murders were an interesting angle for this dark romance. The characters were also pretty “normal” compared to the other MC’s from this writer. There was no SA and no graphic abuse but they still found their way to darkness. I like this take, since not everyone who is into darkness has been severely traumatized. I was also glad to have a little break from all the SA and CSA which occurs often in dark romance.

This was like a dark romance mixed with a holiday Hallmark movie due to the naivety of the FMC and some of the dialogue. But I think that added to the charm. It was a fun, spicy read.

This is a deliciously dark and twisted serial killer romance between Silas and Clara that really grabs your attention and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Clara is a forensic psychologist who is more complex than she appears hiding her forbidden desires deep within. Silas Knight is an enigma and he's obsessed with Clara to the point that he's been stalking her for months. Meanwhile Clara is brought on as a consultant on a string of gruesome murders that are shattering the peace of her hometown of Evergreen Falls. The murders take their inspiration from "The 12 Days of Christmas" song making the killer be referred to as the Christmas Reaper. As the bodies keep piling up Clara becomes more obsessed with Silas questioning everything she thought she knew about good and evil. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this deliciously dark and twisted serial killer romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what's going to happen. I would recommend reading this book.

First I want to say I love this cover. It’s literally what got me to download the book in the first place. Plus social media got ahold of me and basically forced me to download it. 😂

Second the concept of the book was interesting. Had a ☠️ podcast vibe to it. A serial killer is deemed the Christmas Reaper due to setting up his scenes in the theme of the 12 days of Christmas all to get the attention on one woman who happens to be working on the case.

I really enjoyed the first half of the book as the suspense built and the two become closer. Toward the second half of the book for some reason I just couldn’t stay in it. I think for me personally the MMC just talked a lot very poetically but in way it made sense because he seemed to have an artistic element to his thought processes. I just was getting a bit bored with his long winded declarations regarding the FMC.

The spice scenes were nice and the “8th day” scene was a creative one! All in all it was a fun thriller/ murder mystery holiday read.

Perfect Dark Romance/BDSM Smut

What a book!?!

I was absolutely hooked straight away! Not a slow starter which appeals to me, by chapter 3 I was eager to know more about both main characters and how it would all play out. Only took 2 days to read it all and I'd happily go back and read it all again!

The male character lead is intense, thrilling, creative and dominant. Everything a gal loves in a true gentleman, yet opposite to what society makes us think they should be. He has many layers which are appealing to read, I enjoyed his complexities.

The female lead is also a complex individual. She is portrayed very well. Both a soft, delicate lady of society who you'd meet every day and someone who enjoys a darker, more primal nature. Her deeper desires call to a lot of women and the appeal of having such men, like Silas, in our lives.

Fantastically wrote. I have found a new author that I will be following now on Amazon! Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves Dark Romances/Erotica/BDSM.

Trying to tame the monster is futile...

The mood of this story is dark and sinister. It's Christmas season in the town of Evergreen Falls, but everything is not merry and bright and definitely not nice. There is a serial killer on the loose and his name is Silas Knight.

Clara, a forensic psychologist, offers her expertise to the case, but has no idea what she has signed up for. She meets Silas in a cafe which starts out as a meet cute but turns into something more alarming.

Silas has been obsessed with Clara for a long time, and he sees her darkness that she suppresses. Clara is attracted to Silas and his proclivities. She feels she must release her dark desires in order to feel whole. Silas is entering foreign territory with Clara as he sees her as more than just his prey. The passion they have is powerful.

This book is not for the faint of heart, but it was an amazing ride for me.

This is an arc copy and leaving an honest review.

This has a little bit of everything, it could keep anyone entertained while reading through it. You have the psychological side of it, the unalivings and unraveling it all. A stalker and serial unaliver with Silas, and Clara being the forensic psychologist trying to piece the puzzle all together.. you also have the main characters coming together, having so much chemistry with each other. You have plenty of spice to keep you happy including of course the weapon play (and all scenes being detailed!), you of course have the chase, the excitement and the adrenaline. It was great seeing the characters growth through the story. Silas may have been a "monster"..but he was dealing with worse monsters.

In saying that i loved it, people should check the trigger warnings before diving in.

I swear, every time I delve into a Selena Winters book, I wonder if she could ever disappoint me. I truthfully don't think she knows how.

Yet another book about a masked man with a deadly secret and yet, this one has quite the twist to it. Our FMC has no idea (though maybe that intuition has her leaning towards it) that the man who has approached her and began to woo her is the target she seeks. How intriguing he is. How delicious he smells and tastes in their kisses. Who can blame her for missing what is so obviously there, right?

What do you do when that same man bluntly tells you that he's been stalking you. Watching what you do when you turn off the rest of the lights? Checking out what you watch, how you play, and even so far as how you like your coffee or foods. It brings a new level of stalking into it and I am HERE for it.

It was an okay read. I'm not a fan of reading books where the specialist in a field is written to be dumb. i dont get how she can be so obsessed with this killer and these cases and chose to ignore the red flags that he was putting out... it almost makes the plot not really matter and that was pretty annoying. You couldve just made him a regular stalker and serialo killer and he be obsessed with her. It felt like a mockery tbh. He was a decent antagonist, but I didn't find him to be written very attractively. Idk, I found it hard to connect with both MCs. I think there is a solid foundation to this book and an interesting story is in there, but it just wasn't executed as well as I was hoping. I felt like I was being plotted the entire time. Overall, I didn't have a bad time reading this, just wish there were some fundamental changes.

Dark and fast paced with a serial killer stalker to boot. My fav! I loved the uniqueness of the story and the relation to “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. The relationship between Silas & Clara was definitely twisted in exactly the way I’d expect from a book like this. And that cover art though!?? Exactly what had drawn me toward this story.

I would’ve rated this a tad higher, but I thought the repetition with words and sentences went a little overboard. I sometimes found myself skimming and it really deflected from the smexy scenes. Bummer.

“Tell me you don’t want this and I should stop.”
“I don’t want this. You should stop.”

It seemed a little forced at times and unbelievable. Scripted. Aside from that little annoyance, solid story.

OMG I cannot find one book of Selena's that I don't love but this one???? OMG if I could give it 100 stars I would. Silas is the absolute most perfect book boyfriend. He is equal parts scary, dangerous, but also sweet, considerate and a perfect gentleman. He is half Rottweiler, half Golden Retriever. The way he is out just whacking people in an artistic way and with purpose. But he shows up to dates with flowers like a perfect gentleman. Now, I do see a bit of a plot hole but that knocks no stars. I won't spoil it for anyone but just know that Silas is amazing, Clara is the luckiest girl ever. I think I have read a dozen of Selena's books and the Carnival Series was my favorite, but this book alone has knocked all of those off the podium.

Psychological dark romance- yes please! This book had a little bit of everything. Thrill, chase, spice. The storyline was great for the characters and you really got to know them all the way to the end. The spice was HOT. It was how you’d imagine it if you were living it yourself. Definitely a great quick read to get you going and leave you happy and in love with the characters. A profiler and stalker meet cute for sure lol. I really liked that there was a storyline. Although it did leave me with questions… I won’t say with what for fear of spoilers but they are questions that would keep me from reading this book. I definitely suggest grabbing this for a twisted hot story!

This dark serial 💀 romance is by far Selena Winters best writing to date! A storyline with a forensic psychologist and a serial killer, that also has a great plot with lots of spice, yes please. When Clara comes home to be closer to her ailing father, she is pulled into the investigation of grisly murders around town. She meets Silas and is swept into his grasp. Silas lets her darker self, that she has hidden from everyone, come alive. This novel definitely did not disappoint. I could not peel myself away from this, even the bathroom breaks seemed too much time lost from reading!!.

This was phenomenal 👏

So this is a change of events this is so much different than what she normally writes. Though it is outstandingly done and you have this mystery aspect that is wrapped around the 12 Days of Christmas theme of our mass serial ☠️. Plus he is obsessed with Clara, like stalker vibe to the max and he's a masked man as well so that's a whole another vibe to it. I loved the change of events the plot twist was phenomenal and I feel like Silas was so into her and the way that he spoke to her was hot as all get out. I would say if you're looking for a Christmas mystery with romance and a stalker this is for you.

Wow this book completely blew my mind. I have read several of Selena's books and this one has became one of my favorites. If your like me and enjoy reading a great dark romance you will definitely love this book. The story line in it's self is incredible and would have made a great thriller book but Selena being the amazing author she is paired it with a love story to die for. I will be reading this one over and over again.

DNF (i would never leave a review if I don't finish a book, but this needs to be said..)
First red flag, AI is highly used by this author across cover art & advertisements. This will be my one and only review of their work.

The story is okay at the beginning, but I started to lose interest half way. I decided to look up this authors work outside of this book which is when I learned all the extra details. Better late, than never. I was really looking forward to this story, the dark romance themes with Christmas themed murders, but I gladly will not waste anymore time on it.

I really enjoyed this book! Sometimes seasonal romances are super “Hallmark.” But this was a very dark breath of fresh air! I loved the storyline and the characters. The spice was 🥵. My only critique is that I felt like the author got really repetitive almost to the point of rambling at the end. There were a lot of line that were said verbatim over and over and honestly before that happened, she should have just ended the story. We would have still loved it. All in all, very enjoyable. Super fun read.
