Alright ma’am. How do you knock it out of the park every time? Better yet how is it that I have learned how to read Gaelic fluently, like I’ve been doin’ it my whole life? 👀😂 That is how much I am enjoying these characters.
How did I forget about Jerica? Probably because her wild sisters were stealing all the scenes, but now it’s your turn sis. Miss Jerica quiet but she has an edge to her. She seems to be one that if pushed, she could be deadly. She keeps eluding to something happening in her past, that caused her to harm someone, and I am itching to know what it is. Because of it, she is guarded, closed off, and shuns men like the plague. Hmmmm…. But that means nothing to a man like Bhaltair.
Bhaltair deserves all the happiness in the world, after how his father treated him. Then dealing with that heifer Rebecca. Ughh….. 😤 He is also the quiet type but is ready to rumble if necessary. He has been trained to handle whatever comes his way and isn’t afraid of the fight. When he sees Jerica, he loses his damn mind and knows he must claim this woman. He is swift shooting his shot after knowing her for just a few hours. Then he gets an urgent call about things going left in his homeland, but he doesn’t want to leave his “date” with Jerica. So, what does he do, adopts the ole night, night tactic, and off to Scotland they go.
I so enjoyed the back and forth between these two. Bhaltair’s assuredness of his feelings for Jerica, and her not trusting what she is feeling for him. However, it doesn’t take long for her feelings to settle and take root. Maaannnn, these two together are wild! Just building off each other’s crazy and loving every minute of it. Jada ain’t got nothing on Jerica, and that’s saying a lot! 🤯
Loved the cameos of Liam, Frankie, Jada, Smoke, Deuce, and Safi. They added to the fun and excitement of all that was happening in Scotland to assure Bhaltair’s place in the clan. Can’t wait for more. Bravo!! 👍🏾👍🏾
This one had to slow cook for me. As a binge read at first, but wheww, like good stew or gumbo, I just needed it to cook. Slowly, this book grew into a mild obsession. One I can't stop thinking about.
#BlessIt Bhalty is so swoonwirthy. He has up the bar of standards for men. Because if he isn't giving me the night night, lady napping me to Scotland on his private jet and making me the First Lady to his Laird manor. I'm not sure I want it 🤣
#WritingIsEverything Dandridge Monroe's writing style is just unparalleled. She's soooo smart. The words on the page are intelligent. The characters all move with purpose and add so much to the plot. Each and every single action and every thread is followed up. I love it and love watching all of the layers.
#CrayHalfrican vs. SocioHalfrican 🏴Bhal is not at all a carbon copy of Liam. He's not a copy and paste, and that's what I loved! That's what I mean when I say the author does a great job with the writing.
🏴No, here Bhal is just smooth. He's a murker because it's like breathing to him. But he's quiet about it. Not flashy and hot-headed like Liam.
🏴He was born in Scotland, Black mother and Scottish Laird father. Means he's biracial, and he acknowledges he's a Black Scottish man. So his Scottish Gaelic is deeper and more pronounced than Liam's. He's a Scotsman first and international citizen second, and he feels like it on the page. He brings that sexy meance energy.
🏴The type of dude who saw Jerica and announced that he found another piece of his soul right then. His ultimate peace. She would be his Lady of a big f♡cking castle manor. Flexing muscles pre-measuring how he could grip her during sex to put it on her so she wouldn't want to leave his estate.
#Slowburnish 🔥The story isn't a slow burn, but Jerica takes a minute to get there. Bhal doesn't care.
🔥He'll put the signature Consortium night-night on her to get her where he needs her (ladynapping alert❗️) because not having her isn't an option. He's territorial as well (touch her and expire alert❗️). Other dudes better not step up to his love, even if he's only known her for an 1hour. He doesn't play (protective and protector alert❗️).
#SwoonworthyMMC 🥰Bhal knows precisely what he wants. Little Scottish-American red-headed loc'd babies 🤣. And Jerica better get with the program so he can have a special Christmas gift 😉😉the following year.
#TheAngst & #StrongFMC This family is no stranger to angst. Oh yeah, some family drama is wrapped up nicely and a teensy bit of a big Consortium drama break. We mostly had to deal with Bhal taking out weak link trash and us watching Jerica become the perfect Laird lady. She doesn't come to play either. And when we all see how her special brand of Cunningham cray unfolds, as Bhal says, "Don't threaten me with a good time"
It's always nice being back with the consortium gang, and Bhaltair and Jerica's story did me right. I love a good kidnapping, and Bhal saw this woman at a wedding and immediately knew she was his. I love a good unhinged man, but I never would have guessed that Jerica also had some screws missing. They were such an evenly matched pair, and I'm so glad Bhal decided to snatch her up because she needed the type of love he had to give.
Jerrika and Bhaltair are definitely a match in vindictive heaven. They don't play about each other. I love that with him, Jerri doesn't have to hide herself from him, she can just be and he's drawn to that. Bhal accepts her as is, no matter what her desires are. I love that she accepts him and everything that's attached to him. I love their personality and individualness. Of course, Jada is being Jada. The hero and hellion are exactly who they are. I highly recommend this story.
The way I loved these characters in this book should be a crime! Bhal had me swooning the entire book and Jerica received what she was desperately been missing! Bhal will make you fall in love with instantly from his demeanor and accent alone! And the way he treats Jerica is so sweet and intimate. Jada and Smoke, well they are Jada and Smoke and I’m always down for their shenanigans! The descriptions of Scotland and the castle were so beautiful that I would love to visit.
I loved this story down. I couldn’t wait for Bhaltair to pop out and he did not disappoint. He was the perfect mix of melt your heart romantic, with the BDE and arrogance to know he was that dude as well as the fortitude to step to anyone who thought he was not about that. Bhal stood on business when it came to Jerica. Jerica cutting loose as the original Jada was a great time. I am so happy to see her caged bird sing. She didn’t play when it came to her man. She carried that Cunningham torch well. Also the sleepy night night trait that belongs to the consortium is unmatched. I love it in this world. Another great job Dandridge. You don’t miss. AT ALL.
I gave this book at 4.5/5. If there is one thing the men in the Consortium is going to do, it's snatch up a woman! Bhaltair saw his lady and knew immediately that she had to be by his side...regardless of her own plans.
I really liked getting a glimpse into the last Cunningham sibling...especially since the front was put up that Jerica was the responsible and somewhat "sane" one. Unhinged runs in the Cunningham bloodline and Jerica will not beat those allegations. Just like Bhaltair knew who she was to him, she knew exactly who he was to her. She tried to put up a weak fight against them becoming a thing, but we all knew that wasn't going to last long.
The man was ready to spoil the mess out of her and give her the world...incljuding writing a wrong that she had been dealing with alone for quite some time.
In my opinion: All Bhaltair needed was that first glance at Jerica and the book ended. That was all she wrote… the drama and entertainment throughout the read was just extra goodness😂
BHALTAIR - Spoke so beautifully and his ability to express himself and take risk just added more to his attraction.
JERICA - gracefully violent, bold, quick wittiness and complete contrast to him made this book one of my favs from the series.
Let's just say if we thought Jada and her shenanigans was them is the blueprint is Jerica.... Baby girl is definitely touched, and I love that for her. This is the type of holiday read that I like and yes, I say it's a holiday read ring in your New Year with this one This is the type of holiday read that I like and yes, I say it's a holiday read ring in your New Year with this one.
I can’t even come up with a headline. I never would’ve guessed Jerica was unhinged… Listen the BDE in this one was all that. I still love me some Safi she never disappoints. I can’t get enough of the Scottish accent, I love how you tie everyone and their previous roles into every story. Readers you’ll get a glimpse of almost all the characters and everybody who needed to die in the last book died!
Bhal knew what he wanted and played no games with getting his girl! No lie at the beginning Jesica was working my nerves the way she was blowing him off even though I understood why she was guarding herself the way she did! S/O to Bhal for putting his foot down and letting her know until you figure out what want then you ain’t getting the draws no more! Jada and Smoke make every story more comical and I love it for them. Smoke has come a long way.
I loved this storyline and they were pure enjoyment. It was so hard to read cause of the dialect. I assume that’s what it’s called. I had to reread and walk away from it being too much. Like tell me to read it in my head with a Scottish accent but give me all the letters so I can read the words. I’m still sure I missed the intent of some content and confusion still about some scenes. That is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.
Bhal was so worth the wait all that Black Scottish energy!! That standing on business that loving out loud!! Wiping out enemies while still be true! He was a protector a provider and a dream maker!! Jerri was everything I thought she would be crazy and funny and loving and about that life! I loved their love and the laughs and handling family business!!
Dandridge did not disappoint on so many levels. In illustrating how healing can take place with love. She brought awareness to some current real life issues that we encounter today but within the realm of a fictional novel. If I could give her 10 stars I would!
Bahl had all this love and loyalty to give just needed his person. Jerica just needed to find her one that understands her crazy. These two were meant for each other and it is so beautiful to see because they so easily fit together. Now it’s only Angel and X turn next. Overall great read
Not much was known about Jerrica in the previous books about the Cunningham siblings. I often wondered what's her story. This story had me in my feelings and I was riding on an emotional rollercoaster. I am a huge fan of this author! Great story!
I need me some BHAL. Because the way that man handles things , talked and looked had me with lust covered eyes ! 🌶️🌶️🌶️|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book had me rolling especially the one part with ol boy Angel “ ..for the culture you know “ 🤣🤣🤣 is a rom com with black excellence !! Officially in Lust 😏
I think I say it every time that one thing Dandrige’s MMC’s is gone do & that’s make you feel love & like a queen. Them men know they can talk a woman out her draws & make her melt to the floor 😂😂😂 Also Jerica showed why she’s the big sister. She walked to Jasmine & Jada can run. What surprised me this book was how much smoke talked & showed more of his personality.
So Bhal was really a silent lethal weapon, right up there with Priest. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and hope that some future books are in store with some updates. My girl Jada just really shined in all the books but I need some unhinging coming from all the ladies in these books, something from their men had to rub off on them.
I’ve been waiting on this man to hit my kindle!! And now that he has I’m so obsessed! The way they are each other’s strength, even in their madness, was beautiful! Definitely worth the read!
Your originality is so refreshing I love these men. I like how you give us a visual with the pictures in the beginning looking forward to whose next I hope the sister gets a book as well.
Bhaltair knew this was his wife at first sight. It's always the quiet one you have to look out for because why did he do my girl like that? Lol Jerri is that wild card, the silent but dead!y, and all this time we thought Jada was it.
I love Jada as a chaos agent...So u know Jerica being even more unhinged had me under the covers rubbing my feet together. So many notable quotes. It's enemies from all sides and if they escaped last book....they got got in this one.
Thanks for this story. Sis was trying to resist, and why? Us women can be something else! So glad Jerica was able to be freed of her burden, and found genuine love with an accent.
I loved Bhal & Jerica together they completed each other. Jada and her crazy self I love her ,she crazy and blunt as ever. I’m enjoying the series when I first started it I had to get use to the dialect I love it now.
Jerica was crazier than Jada. Inflicting pain and death was her aphrodisiac. I’m loving it. She and Bhal made a beautiful couple. Jada still stole the limelight with her spoiled attitude.
This was a great read and the imagery with the words was spot on. Had me lusting over this man, Lort. The story line was perfect and gave great insight on these two. But I need another book on them and the whole family to bring them all together .
I absolutely loved this book. I should have known that Jerica was crazier than her sisters. Bhal was the hero I was waiting on. I laughed throughout the entire book at all the antics in this book. I enjoyed every minute of this book.
