I hadn’t read such a good rockstar romance read for a long time…
It was emotional, intense and heartbreaking at some points.
Sebastian supported his rockstar role very well, however underneath his rock persona was a guy with a great heart.
I liked the connection between him and Cassie.
It could have been a little more intense (for me).
Sebastian was on either alcohol or drugs for years (5, I don’t precisely remember tbh) and then becoming sober in less than 2 months on his own, without struggle, was not convincing at all.
The secondary characters were intriguing and I would like to read their stories.

I lift my free hand and brush his hair off his face. “Please do.” It’s barely a whisper, and he swallows the words the moment they’re out, crashing his mouth into mine.
Okay I’m actually obsessed with this book and these characters. Ever since her brother showed her their demo, she’s had a celebrity crush on Sebastian Kane and a love for his band. As a graduation present, her friend, who also works for the band, gifts her tickets to their show. Sebastian and Cassie get together for one night only, or so they thought. Someone planted a camera in Sebastian’s hotel room and leaked a tape of them together. When he comes back to check on her, the past collides with the present and Sebastian promises to keep Cassie safe and protected during the fallout. The result? Bringing her on tour. And staying friends. Buuuut that’s not how it goes 🤭
Like I said I absolutely loved this book. Sebastian is a broken man drowning in his demons. Cassie is a good girl figuring out how to exist in a world without her brother. After deciding they are better off as friends, they try to stay away from each other. THE ANGST. THE PINING. DESTROYED ME!!!! Sebastian is hot af. I’m obsessed. Cassie is so caring. Sometimes 3rd act breakups/conflicts can be tiresome. But this one? I loved the way Eva handled it sm.
My only ick was the “not like other girls” thing in the beginning of the book but it wasn’t brought up again.

A one night stand gone horribly wrong.
Sebastian Kane, a rock star whose charm and allure are impossible to resist.
Cassie Walker, artist and recent college grad who decides to celebrate her graduation with her favorite rock star.
This story explores themes of grief, redemption, and the consequences of impulsive decisions. The chemistry between the two characters is palpable, and their interactions are both intense and tender.
Not one I would recommend, unless you really love rock star romances. I struggled with the immaturity and secrets. Sebastian, a reformed manwhore continues to tell Cassie he does not want a relationship until well past he 50% point. Cassie isn’t sure she still has a job, and the repercussions of her one night stand seem to disappear as the story focuses on their interpersonal drama.
The insta recovery of alcohol and drug abuse is very unrealistic.

Eva, you completely stole my heart with this book. I guess I'm officially in my rockstar romance era. Because this was sweet, very sexy, emotional and I'm obsessed.
Cassie has been warned all her life to stay away from rockstars she's a good girl and has no business getting involved with their lifestyle or falling in love with anyone from that world.
Until one night, Cassie's best friend and roommate Merry who works for the band, gets her front-row tickets as a graduation present. Cassie has always had a huge crush on the lead singer of Enemy Muse, Sebastian. But Cassie is captivated by Sebastian, and Sebastian notices Cassie from all the other girls in the crowd. And after a night together, a compromising video is leaked out to the world. When Sebastian shows up at Cassie door, she never thought she would see him again, but he makes her an offer she cannot refuse and all the bad decisions she's made have never felt so good.
Cassie is extremely level-headed, she's sweet and kind. She's just trying to get through each day and live in a world without her brother & really deal with his death. I love that she became such a calming force for Sebastian, but she had so have fun as well. When we meet Sebastian, he's pretty lost. He's drowning, he's depressed, he holds a lot of guilt for his best friend's death. I really enjoyed his journey through this book that he's more than his fame he's sweet, but he's very protective. And he's hot.
Cassie and Sebastian I'm obsessed with these two they're push & pull, their angst, I love the way they communicated with each other, how it felt so easy, but intimate, and they were just hot together. The band Enemy Muse for a quick second, I thought they were a real band, I literally felt like I was on tour with and loved meeting them all. This book kept me glued and I couldn't put it down from the secrets, the twist, meeting each of the characters, I can't wait for each of their stories. And I'm dying for Merry and Noah's book & I need it asap. I highly recommend this one if you're looking for a great rockstar romance, it's KU.

I LOVE rockstar romances, but it's not always a trope that's done well. Usually it's filled with an obnoxious lead singer who feels like the world is at his feet, and everyone is below him and women are only for his pleasure, but from the very first page of this amazing book, we feel the exact opposite with Sebastian Kane. Are there drugs, groupies and all the things you would expect? Yes. Is it glorified? Not at all. This is a person who seemingly has the world at his fingertips and wants for absolutely nothing, but is incredibly broken inside. And then he meets a pink tipped goddess who makes him feel for the first time in so long, and he's determined to keep her.. if only she was someone he could actually keep.
From the get go, our rock God is extremely depressed, and you can tell instantly just how deep his sorrow goes. He's drowning what he feels in the closest bottle and nearest powder, as well as all the women available to him, but with every hit of all that's bad for him, he loses a piece of himself in the process. He's over fame, he's over the never ending party that makes him feel worse than nothing, and generally, wishes he didn't exist. A year ago something tragic happened that made his depression even worse, and it seems like a fight to make it through each day. He has his sister and his other bandmates who feel like family, but at the end of the day, he just feels so alone. Then he sees a beautiful woman in the middle of an intimate concert, and immediately wants her. But it goes beyond lust -- he connects to her soul immediately, and how she connects with his music and the world around her, and he just can't let her go. They share a night of passion that changes them both forever, and though they try to convince themselves that they will never see each other again, fate has other plans.
Cassie is celebrating graduating from college, and her bestie drags her out for a night of carefree wildness when her favorite band comes to town, and instantly our girl is drawn to all that is Sebastian Kane. I wish I could find the right words to encompass the beautiful connection these to shared, but you all just need to read it for yourselves. From the very first page I was just so immersed in them, and couldn't stop reading. They are both so beautifully broken and their jagged edges fit together so perfectly. I love how Cassie saw the facade of the cocky Rockstar right away, and Sebastian just saw her. From the very first moment they met, if was all about her.
There's so much angst and beautiful slowburn filled with just the right amount of steam and humor, all without taking away from their emotional connection. They were just each others person through and through, and I loved the friendship they developed underneath everything else. These two are just so perfect!!
I could go on and on, but just know this is one of the best Rockstar romances I have ever read, and this author now had a dedicated fan for life. I can't wait for more in this amazing series!!

first day of the year and a new to me author is discovered 🙌
this book convinced me that rockstar romances are not my thing. everything about their lifestyle, constant touring, drugs, alcohol and orgies...🆘😫
that being said, this was a very convincing read. I liked their story, i enjoyed the writing and the connection between the main characters.
i think this will be a great read for everyone who enjoys rockstar romances.

While I did enjoy this rockstar romance it wasn't perfect the way they constantly mention 1 persons name and he isn't even the MC was too much.. Loved the opposite attract aspect the forced proximity..

5 amazing stars!
Goddamn!! I loved this book so much! It was such a wonderful surprise from a new-to-me author and I was so happy to experience this heartbreaking and tender story of Sebastian and Cassie. Rock god and the girl with the pink hair.
Fucking brilliant! I love rockstar books. This had a great cast of supporting characters.
Cassie and Sebastian meet one night after Sebastian’s band plays at a venue in her town. He’s the typical bad boy rocker but deep down, he’s so much more. He’s dealing with a tragedy that has him spiraling after a year.
Cassie is trying to heal from a tragedy as well. They both have one night together and both their lives are never the same.
I can’t say a whole lot without spoiling shit, but I was rooting for these two the whole way. Their lives collide and everything gets messy and beautiful and so heartbreaking. I loved it. I smiled. I cried. And I just felt so deep in my feels with this smooth-talking sexy god. Gah! He was heaven in leather pants. And Cassie was a firecracker.
Also, the band members and some of the girls that worked for the band played very big roles in both Cassie and Sebastian’s lives. They were a big family and always supported each other.
The road to happiness wasn’t an easy one but it was worth the journey. I highly recommend. I’ll be checking out more from this author.

Eh… it was a well written book with the I like you cant be with you scenario and to be honest I was bored with it. The first few chapters were hard enough to get into but after the sex tape stuff it kind of fell flat. I skimmed and eventually dnf

The celebrity romance Heart Break Her by Eva Simmons centers on illustrator Cassiopeia Walker and rockstar Sebastian Kane.
You could see that Sebas had feelings for Cassie from the moment they first met, and despite his reputation as a player, he was open about them, which I thought was hot. Basically, Sebas went from sleeping around to not sleeping around after he met Cassie, and to make matters even better, Cassie didn't even sleep with him right away, so Sebas was celibate for a considerable amount of time. I mean, this also ties in to the fact that Cassie was able to transform Sebas into a reformed player.
The epilogue, however, fell short of what I had hoped for because it lacked a satisfying conclusion and was simply too vague. Though, I will concede that this story had a great depth to it because it covered topics like emotions and drug toxicity in the famous world.
Overall, Eva wrote the ideal rockstar romance with just the right amount of angst, spice, and tension between two broken main characters!

The celebrity romance Heart Break Her by Eva Simmons centers on illustrator Cassiopeia Walker and rockstar Sebastian Kane.
You could see that Sebas had feelings for Cassie from the moment they first met, and despite his reputation as a player, he was open about them, which I thought was hot. Basically, Sebas went from sleeping around to not sleeping around after he met Cassie, and to make matters even better, Cassie didn't even sleep with him right away, so Sebas was celibate for a considerable amount of time. I mean, this also ties in to the fact that Cassie was able to transform Sebas into a reformed player.
The epilogue, however, fell short of what I had hoped for because it lacked a satisfying conclusion and was simply too vague. Though, I will concede that this story had a great depth to it because it covered topics like emotions and drug toxicity in the famous world.
Overall, Eva wrote the ideal rockstar romance with just the right amount of angst, spice, and tension between two broken main characters!

Ahh this book! It made me feel so many things, the writing was so beautiful.

Cassie meets her celebrity crush Sebastian and they spend the night together. A week later, someone posts a video of them online. Sebastian wants to protect Cassie from the madness of the scandal, so he brings her on tour with them. They dance around each other and try to deny the feelings that are building between them as the days and weeks go on, claiming they are “just friends”. Cassie is troubled by her brothers death, and Sebastian is fighting the demons of his struggle with alcohol and drug abuse, as well as the death of his best friend. They are two imperfect people that understand and ease the other’s suffering. Sebastian is deeply flawed and Eva writes him so well, you can feel his pain and his want to be a better man through the words. Cassie knows she needs to be strong on her own and she struggles with that and letting her brother go. The third act breakup in this book was handled so beautifully. You felt their yearning for each other, it was all encompassing when reading. The secondary characters in this book were really well developed, just enough to give us glimpses into each of them, preparing for the rest of the series. I’m so looking forward to reading more of Enemy Muse!

Ok how do I say this book was everything. It is my first book by this author and the last book I finished for my 2022 year. I gave me all the feels it had my heart feeling it all. I now cannot wait to read more books by this author. While I read this as an ebook it also a book I want to own as a trophy on my book shelf. Hope that tells you how much I loved it and that it is a definite must read.

Cassie is celebrating graduating from college with her best friend Merry who happens to work for Cassie favorite band. Cassie has always had a crush on Sebastian Kane and she never thought he would be interested in her but she couldn’t be more wrong. Sebastian can’t stop thinking about the girl with the pink hair, so when he see her outside the bar their connection is instant. They share a night together and thought they would never see each other again but fate had other plans in the form of a sex tape. But they soon find out that’s not the only thing that connects them. Cassie has always been warned about this life from her brother but with recent events she finds herself in the middle of this crazy tour life with the one man she also always wanted. Sebastian has been on a downward spiral for a year after a tragedy happen during their last tour. First of all, a perfect playlist. After seeing the first song on the list, I knew my heart was going to be torn from my body. Sebastian understood that he was nothing more than a rock god. His body and talent were the only things anyone cared about. Should I have enjoyed his “eff you, I’m a rock god” attitude so much though? When Cassie sat front row at a concert, she instantly had his attention. She was more than just some face in the crowd. Cassie is all consuming, the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. And he can’t get enough of her. Of being in her presence.
But they weren’t aware of their connection…or the scandal coming their way. If anything, it all only made him need to be in her orbit more, even though he tried to deny it. Mostly to protect her. Once they found a rhythm in their new normal, they decided to try out this “friend” thing. And they weren’t half bad at it. I loved the way Sebastian was intoxicated by her. The way she made him come undone. He continued to surprise me. Even after having the first song on the playlist as a warning, I wasn’t ready for the heartbreak. For their pain, their grief. 3.5⭐️ - Do you ever read something and love it but still feel like something was missing - but you can’t quite figure out what? That’s where I am with this one. I don’t even have any real criticisms. The relationship and the demons both MCs were battling made sense. Their attraction felt organic and genuine. I loved the texting so much! This is definitely worth the read. I do plan to continue the series.

It’s been so long since I’ve devoured a book like this. I finished it in just a few hours! This was truly a page turner!
I’ve been craving a rockstar romance recently so I was thrilled when I saw this bad boy got sent to my kindle.
From page one, to the very end, I loved EVERYTHING. Sweet, broken, loving, follows all the rules good girl. Sexy, damaged, possessive rockstar that is also sweet as candy. A hookup. A scandal. A secret.
This story has just the right mix of drama, anticipation, sex and emotion to keep your eyes glued to the pages while your heart skips a beat. You will not be able to get enough of Cassie and Sebastian. GIVE. ME. MORE. PLEASE. ❤️
I love all the strong side characters this story offered. So many personalities and side storylines that excited me. Every character in this book is so well rounded. You will be left wanting more from some of them!

I've read a few of Eva's books by now and I really enjoy her writing so I was excited to pick this book but. . . maybe I had big expectations or I wasn't in the mood because so far this was my least favorite book. . .
The story was kind of bland and unfortunately I couldn't connect with the main characters at all. I wanted more development of them and their relationship and also a story more entertained that this one 🤷♀️
This wasn't exactly bad but I can't say it wasn't memorable either.
I'm still curious to read what else Eva has planned out but I won't be missing this book for sure. . .

Okay, so the rockstar romance never really appealed to me, so I never gave it a try! I’m on Eva’s arc team, and received this , and I know, she can literally do no wrong, so I knew I atleast had to give it a chance. And oh my heart 🥹🖤 Heart Break Her was literally EVERYTHING I could have hoped it would be, plus so so much more!
You ultimately have your good girl, Cassie, and then Sebastian, the rockstar , or shall we say *rock god* , whom of course is your average bad boy! Put together from head to toe on the outside, looks , speaks, and sings like a God. But underneath, he is broken( and so badly missing something. He has everything money can buy, women throwing themselves at him. And then he meets her…. Cassie. The blond haired girl with pink tips , front and center at his performance , an he can’t quit looking at her her, can’t quit thinking about her!
When a chance encounter leads them to bumping into each other after the show, they end up spending the night together, both would say, a perfect night, but come morning, she is gone!
A week later, a sex Tape is leaked from there night together (even thought they didn’t have actual sex), and she is devastated , life as she knew it, she feels is going to be over! But Sebastian knows Cassie is special, not like the others, and he’s bound an determined to make this right for her, and find out how this has happened! So he shows up at her house, wanting to talk , to see how she is doing after the tape was leaked (and of course to see her just one more time)
But while there, another bomb is dropped, Sebastian sees a picture on her dresser of her and her brother, who he knows as his best friend , Myth!
Myth went on the road with Sebastian an did so for years before he was found dead in a hotel room! While Alive, myth did everything he could to keep his sister away from his road Groupies an Sebastian, because he knew that lifestyle wasn’t for her an would eat her up! Sebastian is racked with immediate guilt , an aside from feeling awful Cassie is at risk for losing everything because of the sex scandal tape, he knows he owes it to Myth, to make it up and fix this whole ordeal for Cassie! He vows, as well as Cassie , that this would be all it is, until the every thing blows over an she can go back to her new job an normal life!
But that’s the thing with love, right? The heart knows what the heart wants, and if it’s real, love will always find a way!
case & Seb are still two broken individuals still struggling with Myths death. Cassie because she wasn’t able to get a hold of him an talk some sense into him an come home. And Sebastian, well he has his own reasons for his own. One Cassie doesn’t yet know, an he knows he needs to tell her, but the selfish part of him knows he could very well lose her for good! Is he ready that???
This story was so much more than a meet cute betwen a sweet innocent girl and the hard core punk rockstar! It was once of growth, and healing ; evolving and braving the changes that come over time!
Will Sebastian and Cassie be able to face all of this, and work through their fried and learn to heal. Are they the puzzle piece the other has always been missing?
I really can’t put into words how much I appreciated this bookB I mean it was just spectacular! Still grieving and learning to live life after loss, it had me feelings all the things! It was just beautiful! Eva is absolutely a #rockstar at what she does!

This is a story about loss, forgiveness and love. It is emotional and describes how everyone is different and how they deal with some negative feelings. Someone closes in on himself, someone turns sadness into lyrics and music. The most important message is that you can find inner peace through love and forgiveness.

GRIEF IS A BEING. It takes on a physical form inside you without
actually needing to be one. It tangles deep, where nerves meet bone.
You’ll believe you’re fine and over it. And then, somewhere along the
way, a smile reminds you of that person, or a laugh echoes in a forgotten
crevice, and the pain strikes you all over again. Reminding you that you’re
at grief’s mercy, no matter how long it’s been.
It will never leave you alone.
But my grief is quieter around Sebastian. Maybe because my own pain
discovered a friend in his. But the emptiness from losing my brother dulls
just enough that I can get through the day feeling like I’ll make it.
It might not be healthy, and it might only result in a deeper cut in the end,
but I can’t help basking in that feeling.
Sebastian taking me to the street exhibit was unexpected. It was
thoughtful and caring, not what I would expect from a rock star. And it’s
making it difficult to keep my head on straight because it gives me a
glimpse of the attentive side of him that would be harder to ignore.
I’m starting to see the version of him my brother knew. Someone he
cared about and trusted. And while that’s comforting, it’s also a stark
reminder of the hole in my chest.
Being on tour, spending time with Sebastian, and hearing everyone’s
stories, it all reminds me of Myth. It gives me a taste of the people who
surrounded him and of a life I’ve been missing. It’s showing me what it
feels like to make decisions not based on someone else. And I’m starting to
crave it.
I’ve been a shell of a person for the past year, but that changes around
Sebastian. It could just be the thrill of biting into the apple when I know I
shouldn’t, but, at the same time, it feels a lot like Sebastian just being
Sebastian and him fitting perfectly with me. The magnetism is
overwhelming, and it’s clear this game of emotional chicken isn’t going to
end well for my already fractured heart

You’ll believe you’re fine and over it. And then, somewhere along the
way, a smile reminds you of that person, or a laugh echoes in a forgotten
crevice, and the pain strikes you all over again. Reminding you that you’re
at grief’s mercy, no matter how long it’s been.
It will never leave you alone.
But my grief is quieter around Sebastian. Maybe because my own pain
discovered a friend in his. But the emptiness from losing my brother dulls
just enough that I can get through the day feeling like I’ll make it.
It might not be healthy, and it might only result in a deeper cut in the end,
but I can’t help basking in that feeling.
Sebastian taking me to the street exhibit was unexpected. It was
thoughtful and caring, not what I would expect from a rock star. And it’s
making it difficult to keep my head on straight because it gives me a
glimpse of the attentive side of him that would be harder to ignore.
I’m starting to see the version of him my brother knew. Someone he
cared about and trusted. And while that’s comforting, it’s also a stark
reminder of the hole in my chest.
Being on tour, spending time with Sebastian, and hearing everyone’s
stories, it all reminds me of Myth. It gives me a taste of the people who
surrounded him and of a life I’ve been missing. It’s showing me what it
feels like to make decisions not based on someone else. And I’m starting to
crave it.
I’ve been a shell of a person for the past year, but that changes around
Sebastian. It could just be the thrill of biting into the apple when I know I
shouldn’t, but, at the same time, it feels a lot like Sebastian just being
Sebastian and him fitting perfectly with me. The magnetism is
overwhelming, and it’s clear this game of emotional chicken isn’t going to
end well for my already fractured heart

There were scenes that I didnt know whether to laugh or cry.. Eva Simmons’ writing is heartbreakingly amazing. She taps into every emotion possible, tearing your heart in two. Its Raw and honest. I felt everything. I cant pin one fav part of the book, the paint scene, the constellation stories, the 3rd act - needed to happen & it was written beautifully. The text messages 🫠 the spice too, its not a lot but its stunning. This is an easy 5 star for me and I cannot wait to read more.

Cassie is out with her bestie celebrating graduating from college at a Enemy Muse concert. Enemy Muse is her favorite band, her best friend works for them, she has a connection to them because her brother was best friends with the lead singer, Sebastian Kane, before he passed away and she has a giant crush on Sebastian. So this is the perfect way to celebrate. Then when Sebastian notices her in the crowd, he enthralled; he asks her to spend the night with him and she says yolo. Only for it to come back and bite her in the butt later. To escape life once their tape is released, she goes on tour with the band where she falls even more for the bad boy Sebastian. But when Sebastian's secrets come out can they overcome them?
This was my first book by this author and I am hooked. I was so enthralled with Sebastian and Cassie's story. I was hooked from page one. Such a beautiful story these two had. One of the rare times that I enjoyed a book that was more on the slow burn side. But to watch them connect and heal together was beautiful which is odd in a gritty rock star romance. Commend the author capturing the gritty while giving a beautiful love story all at the same time. And the third act conflict . . . while never my favorite it was the best I have ever seen. The reasoning behind it felt real and not forced like they tend to be. Just perfection. And the secondary characters? They got me thirsty. I can't wait for more from this author in this world.

Oh boy…My emotions have just been put through the wringer in the best possible way. This was an amazing start to what I believe is going to be an incredible series! Sebastian is a famous musician who is an extremely broken person. Sebastian has literally been to hell and back and can’t figure out how to put the pieces back together again. Cassie has just graduated from college and wants to celebrate…going to a concert and spending time with a famous rock star is a perfect way to celebrate. After a scandal breaks out Sebastian wants to protect Cassie from everything and everyone. As these two spend time together they find out that they have more in common than they thought. Can these two broken, damaged people truly help each other? Can they help each other heal and forget the past to have an amazing future? Boy do I love these two together. This was a great page turner with an amazing story. The characters were extremely well developed and had great depth. I’m excited about watching this series grow and getting to know the side characters better. The side characters were extremely interesting and I can’t wait to see them develop. I’m really excited and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series.

This is a classic 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, it has the sexy, intriguing, tortured lead singer-Sebastian.
The reserved, smart and artistic “good girl”-Cassie. They meet and bada bing 💥 their chemistry explodes.
I was entertained and liked all the characters in this story. I liked the banter and teasing. I liked the life on the tour parts as well.
I liked the past connection the two characters have that’s not known at first. It’s a nice emotional aspect that plays a big part in the story.
It’s a bit cliché in general, I still enjoyed the story and was entertained. There were even emotional moments that hit me in “the feels”.
It’s a familiar story with enough of the authors personal style to have me turning the pages quickly.
I like the slower romance between Cassie and Sebastian, they hook up almost immediately then put the brakes on for a bit and it’s slower burn.
I liked the way a big emotional aspect was handled towards the end. It could have easily been handled in an immature or overly dramatic way and it pleasantly surprised me and made me very happy.
Overall a very fun, lighter romance. It’s a quick read that I enjoyed. I would like to read the authors next book in this series when it releases. That couple is very intriguing to me.

This was a haunting, beautiful tale of two young people trying to find peace in their chaos. Cassie and Sebastian have both experienced heartache after the loss of someone close in their lives. This connection takes them on a journey to heal.
These characters are flawless in their representations of grief, suffering, and moving on through life. Cassie is so much more than the typical good girl character and is so realistically written, I feel as though she could walk out of this book and become a life long friend.
Sebastian proves to be a gorgeous, talented rockstar who overindulges in all of his favorite vices. But the depth to his character and the emotional turmoil he is in leaps off the page and places your heart in your throat.
I knew I would love this book, but I was not expecting the mark it would forever leave on my soul. Cassie and Sebastian will forever remain in my heart. The dynamic of these two is explosive and the best balance of angst and growth. You will not be disappointed in the spice from these two and the other band mates who make their lives so much more interesting!!
