At fourteen, Audrey has the perfect life: great parents, great buddies, and her best friend, Asher. Only lately Asher has begun to change. He seems distant and standoffish, ignoring Audrey.
Not all of the changes are bad. He’s growing from a pretty boy into a handsome man, and Audrey is all too aware of that. But if they cross the line from friends to something more, will things stay the same or will she lose her best friend forever?
This is not an erotic story. It is the prequel to the events that unfold in Asher and set up many of the characters of the Inked Brotherhood series.

I know Kiss Me Goodbye is a novella. A very short and informative novella. The prequel for Asher and Audrey's story in Asher. Some of the reviews commenting how short it is and see no purpose for this novella.
For me, since I am a fan of Miss Raven, I enjoyed it. I like the writing style from Miss Raven. It is dramatic and yet sweet. Anyway, since the length of Kiss Me Goodbye is short, I write this review in short too.
I didn't really understand the point of this book?!? why not just put in the beginning of asher? there was nothing about the accident or after the accident, just feels like huge gaps are missing from both books :/

4*s A short story of the 'incident' that is referred to in Asher's book - Basically he is Audrey's first love, best friend and first kiss but changes and leaves her behind thus breaking a young girls heart. A bit sad really but the knowledge was welcome for when we meet them again in book 1.
This was a great prequel! I had the pleasure of reading an ARC of Asher and loved it. This prequel shows Asher and Audrey when they were 14, and the events that took place that changed their friendship forever. Although quite short, this chapter in their life was an important one and shows how 2 inseparable childhood friends lost each other and some of their innocence so many years ago. This paves the way for Asher the first, full length book in the Inked Brotherhood series. Just like Asher, it is written well and shows the intensity between the two main characters. Even though they are 14. They did at times sound more like 17, but all the characters in this book are later shown to have some rough times when younger and I think it has forced them to grow up a bit quicker. Which we find out as each book tells their tales. I really felt for both Audrey and Asher and it mad me want to read Asher again.
A quick and easy read! I would recommend reading this first before starting the rest of the books in the Inked Brotherhood series. You get an idea of what happened between Asher and Audrey years before, and it gives you a little somethin' somethin' when reading the first chapter of Asher. Jo Raven did a good job at describing that kiss!
this is just a prequel of Asher and Audrey story. it tells us a little bit of their backstory how they met how they've been friends forever how it seems like Audrey has all these feelings and she's not sure how at your feels, but at a party everything switches and it was very intense but at the very end Asher has now decided that he is not going to talk to her or speak to her again. Audrey goes home crying and that's how the prequel pretty much ends. it sounds like it's going to be a pretty nice story I really like Asher I don't know why yet but he seems like he's troubled and I want to know why he's troubled because something's going on and some of his friends know and they're not letting Audrey know so I want to know what's going on. so I'm going to get into Asher and see how it's going because I think this is going to be a really good series it's the first I've seen it and I was excited and I wanted to see if I was going to like it so I listen to the prequel it was well worth my time.
“His eyes are now fastened on my face and he leans toward me, a hand lifting as if to touch my cheek. Then he shakes himself as if from a dream and lets his hand drop. “Gotta go.”
A short introduction to the series, it’s angsty and a little heartbreaking to see such mixed emotions from the characters. Lots of secrets were being hidden and it appears the boys are sticking together as Audrey and Asher’s friendship falls apart. Audrey hold hope in a kiss, all she needs is one kiss to reveal the truth. Be careful what you wish for though because you may be disappointed if it backfires.
The story is told from the viewpoint of the 14-year-old heroine Audrey. (I got her age from the blurb).
She has had a falling out with her best friend Asher. She just doesn't know why he is pulling away from her.
I can't say much since the story was REALLY short, but I will say that the author managed to pull me in, enough for me to want the next book. The characters were portrayed amazingly. It made me feel for these teenagers, and I haven't been one for ages:)

this prequel gives just enough of the story of Ashley and Audrey to spike interest in the story of Ashley and Audrey. then they introduce the people for all the following stories.
I actually read this way after the fact, but I was really excited to see the young Brotherhood. These guys really haven't changed a whole lot, but I was excited to see what really happened with Aubrey and Ash. This gave so much insight to where we were in Asher's book and even other books!
I feel as though this prequel is not even necessary. you don't know what the hell is going on with the two leads in the story the entire time. and you're just sitting there wondering for the full 40 minutes. So on to the next book to try to find out what the hell is goin on.
I'm very glad I was able to read this. I did read this after book 1 of this series so I knew a little bit about what happened years ago but it was nice to get the whole picture.
You got to see them starting to like each other and exactly what happened the night of the party.
Inked Brotherhood is the name of this series by Jo Raven and I just finished the series. Each book is about a different man who all have a connection to a tattoo parlor. I just found her and liked these romances but do have to worn they are on the descriptive side in the physical end.
This was a prequel so there wasn't much to it. it sets the stage for the upcoming story which I hope will be good. the narrator sounds robotic and didn't exude a lot of emotion but hopefully she gets better if she narrates the next book.
I actually like these little prequels it helps bring you into the story I feel like without the background info I lose track of the story altogether but this was just a great little starter to this series
