In 1984, Kyle Reese protected Sarah Connor from a terrifying cyborg that would stop at nothing to terminate her. In 1985, Skynet targets Biotechnician Elise Fong, who is destined to discover a vital weapon against the Terminators, but this time there is no resistance fighter sent back to stop it! Targeted for actions in her future, Fong's only hope in the present is ex-CIA operative tasked with kidnapping her!
This action packed volume collects issues #1-#6 of the thrilling series Enemy of My Enemy !
Far better than expected, a good storyline with a strong female lead (just imagine Gina Torres with Gina Carano's muscles), and I very appreciated the 80s vibes and the love for the franchise filling every page.
Pointless and idiotic, The Terminator: Enemy of My Enemy is a horribly ill-conceived comic series from Dark Horse. A year after Sarah Connor’s near escape from a T-800 Terminator, another Terminator arrives in Atlanta on a mission to kill a biotech researcher named Dr. Elise Fong; but he has competition, as an ex-CIA operative is also after her. The writing is atrocious, and having a CIA operative be capable of physically matching and stalemating a Terminator takes away a lot of the threat that it poses. Additionally, the story lacks strong ties to the established Terminator mythology and its stakes aren’t that interesting. A forgettable piece of tripe, The Terminator: Enemy of My Enemy isn’t worth reading.
This was excellent!! Now this my first time reading terminator comics, I've seen all the movies but never read comics so didn't know what to expect. But this was actually really good! Now don't expect a deeply enriched story, like the first 2 movies its pretty straight forward. The art for this was okay, its not anything to complain or brag about. But This was just a simple fun story! The main female character is absolutely badass, and is quite well built in muscles, which was refreshing to see, compared to the usual super models in stories. Overall this a great story, and any fan of the terminator films will love this!!
Almost everything is original here. The narrative is action-packed and compelling. Also, an unforgettable characters and powerful ending are at the best in a form of comics.
I don't know what I was expecting going into this but I'm not sure who this is supposed to appeal to. This doesn't feel like any Terminator movie. There is no heart. There is no sense terror from the Terminator. The plot was so basic, it was dumb. The protagonist is not likable in the least. It was like a summer action movie with a terrible budget and no script. Seriously bad plotting. As for the artwork, Jamal Igle is capable of so much better. Overall, abysmal.
Pretty great. Just throws the reader in the middle of a story involving Farrow Greene, who in turn is thrown into an incident involving a time-travelling terminator in 1985. And the fact she can go toe-to-toe with the terminator means she’s able to come to a kind of truce with him, allowing her to work her own termination agenda. Also, there are governmental bad guys. I’d love to see more Farrow Greene adventures!
The premise is certainly different, not having a time traveler explain to the target why a Terminator is after her. Lots of action, but not a whole lot I found much more compelling.
Lisa y llanamente malo.
