War Tears: The Dark Side of War

Rate this book
Sixteen-year-old Jenny had to flee when a new rebel war breaks out during her hike to school. With rockets whizzing by, she had to make a difficult to either look for her family or to run for her safety. She ran and climbed aboard a cargo ship unnoticed. Together with other refugees, she lay down in a small space; it seemed safe there, but that was far from the truth. This is a novel about war, power, abuse and survival, and the search for a new and safe life after a war. Gertrude Forson was born in 1984 in Liberia, a country frequently at war. Along with her parents, she moved to the Netherlands to build a new life. Besides her studies in Business Management at the university, the subject of war in Africa continues to intrigue her. In her book, she would like to tell the world about the war and how it has affected the victims of war, especially the children.
