When a Mage gets killed it will be up to Damian to find his killer.
Bitten by a Vampire and possessed by an Eldritch being trying to take over his body , Damian Graves finds himself trying to find his place in Brightfalls as a monster hunter.
Even with the Supernatural War being behind his city, people still see the Supernatural as something to fear.
Damian gets a call that there has been a murder. A mage was killed and there are different wounds, clues of the attack that make it seem it was from multiple creatures, with no clear profile of the attacker and just more questions as to why, with the only thing to go off of was a book stolen from him and some magical necklace.
Then the dead start to rise, robed figures are seen going into buildings, and dangerous magic is being used, and even the police are scared to handle it.
Soon Damian will go up against creatures and magic that he never encountered before. Uncover secrets, make new allies with both dwarf and hound, all to stop the dead from rising and pulling his city into an early grave.
