✨ARC Review✨

Full review-
This book was a true second in the series-the first book (Hold On) must be read first. This book was different in that it didn’t have one main couple like the first one, which I felt was a bit odd. I did like Sasha as a character, but Dmitri never grew on me. I personally feel like the plot of this one lined up more traditionally than the first which is good. I think the ending was a bit unrealistic, but I did enjoy that it was wrapped up without loose ends. I’m always ready for a morally grey MMC and his “touch her and d*e” vibes.

Solid debut duet. MUCH more mafia involvement in this book which I enjoyed. Ummmm…Walter?? LAWD… the poison ivy, chili oil darts, and fire ants were a creative touch I have to say. A LITTLE rushed in parts that I would have loved to have been more developed, but all in all well done.

Wow that was one hell of a read.
I loved it and I also loved how the writing style keeps improving and getting better. You can see her growth from book 1 to her.
It felt more as a connected story.

The story picks up right where book 1 finished.
With that said i have to say I was confused with the change in POV.
It was a new character in the mix. And i did end up closing him into my heart too.

Just like the first book this one had a plot twisting twist in the end and let me tell you my jaw was dropped.
The explaining of it all did feel a bit rushed especially in the ending I wished there was a bit more taken in to that.

I loved to be back with Aliannah and Ivan.
She really blossomed into an amazing strong woman. Did wish we saw more of that and also the girlhood that was a big part in book 1 her friendship with Michelle I missed that.
I think that was more because the story of Aliannah and Ivan was book 1 and the focus changed to Dimitri in this book.

I did finish this book in 1 setting so thats a good thing if I know one.

I received an arc of this book! I enjoyed the continuation of the story with all the twists and turns. The plot was enjoyable and I did like relaxing reading this. I felt it needed further editing and refining to be a higher rated book. But this author has a clear plan with the story and I am really enjoying the progress.

As always I really enjoyed Saz Taylors writting style and I enjoyed the continuation of Ivan and Aliannahs love story, however this 2nd book felt very all over the place with the added main character Dimitri. I understand why he was written in with the storyline it juat felt rushed and didn't flow as nicely as book 1.

I liked how it picked off from the first book I loved Ivan and Aliannah’s relationship. It did seem a little rushed and I think what threw me off is Dmitri POV and the ending of it

I love that this book picks up right where the first book left off. The character development is great but I feel like there could have been more on the world building aspect of it but that's just me. It is in 3rd person POV and for me that's not my favorite which made this book harder for me to read. that being said it's still a good book I just prefer first person POV.

This is a Mafia romance book. you get to see a love story blooming from both sides of the rival gangs which is great.

You've got action and spice and overall it's a good book.

Anyways😏...

The sequel picks up from straight after how the first book ends and you are thrown into the world of the Bratva/Mafia. On one side where Dmitri and his men are celebrating the death of a rival's family member of the Kozlov's, "a life for a life," on the other hand Ivan is mourning the death of his twin brother Igor. Dmitri is under the impression that Ivan is no longer living but suddenly thinks he catches a glimpse of him across the street. On top of that, an unknown number is sending him cryptic messages. Also, a new blood is out here trying to take his place. Will he be able to make his space in the Bratva world and protect his girl, Sasha?

“You're mine, Tiger.” He grunted his voice raw with passion. “Always remember that.”

This is a continuation of Ivan and Aliannah's story, and we're introduced to Dmitri and Sasha. You do need to read the first book to get a better understanding of what's happening in this one. The plot-line flows well and the world building I feel needs a bit more detailing, however, that's just me, I'm a a little picky about extra details about surroundings as I imagine what I read. It didn't top me from enjoying or losing my attention, though. I think a bit more would go a long way and improve the world building. Character development is good. We get to see how well both Ivan and Aliannah's relationship deepens and how Dmitri and Sasha's relationship grows into something more meaningful over time. I did prefer Ivan and Aliannah's story and weren't able to connect to Dmitri and Sasha's very much, which can be because I already know about them from the first book, but I do love how protective/possessive Dmitri is of his Sasha, too.

I read this in one sitting. It surprisingly feels very short! I wish there was a little more. Full of past-paced action, thrilling and exciting! Throughout the book, you experience drama and revenge, the plot twists and heartache, romance and spice, the blood and gore, mystery, and more. A dark romance world set in New York, where the Bratva/Mafia world and rival gangs reside! If this is something that intrigues you, then this is the book for you!
