ETTORE

It’s the morning of my wedding.
I don’t look like the ruthless mafia boss who rules the underworld.
No matter how fake this marriage might seem, by the end of the day, she’ll be my wife.
Until… she’s gone.

They call me the Reaper. Feared. Ruthless. Untouchable. I don’t save people. I bury them.

Until she stumbled into my world. Fiery. Untamed. A mess I should’ve walked away from.
Instead, I rescued her and made her mine—for one night.
One taste of her, and I was addicted.
But danger follows her like a shadow. And I don’t leave loose ends.

Marrying her was supposed to be a business deal. One year. No strings.
I didn’t expect to crave her. I didn’t expect to keep her.
And now that she’s carrying my child… She’s never getting away.

Yet in the shadows, someone else has set his eyes on her…
And I’ll burn the whole world to protect what’s mine—even if it means dragging her into my darkness.

MIRABELLA

It’s the morning of my wedding.
One that ties me to a man I don’t know
…and one I will not attend.
But the devil claimed my innocence…and now I’m pregnant.

It was only supposed to be one night.
A reckless mistake with the most dangerous man who saved me.
Ettore Greco—cold, controlling, and devastatingly irresistible.
A man who doesn’t take no for an answer.

The next morning, I ran. But you don’t escape a man like Ettore.

He found me before they could.
Now I’m wearing his ring and carrying his child.
Bound to him by a deal I couldn’t refuse.

He’s my savior and my nightmare. My protector and my captor.
I should hate him.
But when he touches me, I forget everything— Except how badly I want him.

But I should’ve known that a happy ending was nothing more than a dream for us…
Because someone else was after me...and I needed to protect at all costs the twins growing inside of me.

Mirabella and Ettore

It only took a few pages for me to realize that Mirabella is a dimwit. From the start, everything that comes out of her mouth is something stupid. She’s annoying, impulsive, abrasive, immature, ungrateful and really really dumb. It’s embarrassing. She’s constantly shrieking or shouting in her dialogue. What does Ettore see in her? She has no instinct for self preservation. Always puts herself and her family in danger. She makes terrible decisions. It’s like high school. Her family relies on her to take care of them, so of course, they’re all doomed because … so many bad decisions. Her character didn’t develop and she stayed annoying and impulsive til the end, except now she’s a mom. Those poor kids.

Ettore is only slightly better but he took way too long to deal with his toxic family members. His interactions with Mirabella were always volatile. It was always him trying to fix things between them after she caused chaos. There’s a silly 3rd act breakup that could’ve been resolved if they had both acted like adults. Mirabella didn’t deserve Ettore’s groveling.

I almost DNF this one several times but pushed thru it hoping it would get better. Nope. Didn’t happen. If you value your time, skip this one.

Ugh ……. so ticked off.

I have never been so ticked off by a character that it has lead to a review. As a general rule if I am not thrilled with a book I just skip the review altogether (if I even finish the book). There’s a first time for everything.

The MMC was good. Tall, dark, handsome, rich, lethal, passionate, protective … all the stuff these mafia romances demand. Flawed but he recognized it and apologized PROFUSELY for the entire last 35% of the book.

Mirabella? Drove me absolutely insane! She lied to every single person in the story: her husband, her friends, her family. Everyone. Through 70% of the book and then rode her high horse to the end when crap hit the fan, most of which could have been avoided had she not lied, repeatedly (lying by omission counts as lying). Her temper tantrums lead to harm and everyone else is to blame. Right. No accountability. Nothing. No apology. Not one. Ugh ….. I had to finish it just to see if she ever redeemed herself. Nope.

A great story!

I love this story right from page one,Ettore or the Reapor was a man not to mess with, not from a male student, to a aunt. But one night someone messed with the wrong girl and they paid the price.Ettore saves Mirabella and they had a one night stand at least it started out that way but she only had dreams of him and she is all he can think off.Bella is into serious financial trouble and the sharks are at her door and she is trying to do anything to fix her money problems. One night Ettore comes across his kitten and now he knows she has money problems and she is the one to fix his problem, he needs a wife. They go over the terms but the day of wedding but she runs, but he catches her and they marry but they have a terrible climb in the marriage ,lies and trust.Words were said, hateful, mean and it drove them apart and they were beginning to trust each other, maybe even love one another. He finds out that she is pregnant, now he has doubts is it his or the guy that she has Pic of him and his wife. They get further and further apart, but while they are apart he still out there being the reaper and taking care of loose ends and he finds out what his aunt did to Mirabella and he isn't happy. This story does end on a happy note in away,Reaper still tried up loose ends that effected his Kitten's life,it doesn't matter who it is,no one hurts his wife!

I knew I was going to love this book when it was immediately shown to have an innocent, smart, hardworking, herion in distress, our MFC, Mirabella Ricci. And a dark, possessive and protective MMC, Ettore Grego (The Reaper). All I can say is yum yum!😋
They each have had life’s hard knocks and find trust hard to come by. Nothing involving any romantic feelings for any other..just life. And when Ettore’s aunt brings false information to him involving Mirabella, he messes up. Believing what she showed him he messes up the strong connection that’s been growing between he and Bella (Mirabella).
But all is not lost because the love they have for each other is an enduring one even if they don’t know it.
Has mafia life, dark MMC, innocent MFC. And a wonderful love journey with a happy ending. Two actually 😁!.

OMG this was another amazing story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was totally intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down literally. Ettore and Mirabella relationship was arranged but they were not so happy with this situation. Sparks had ignited between themand it was too hot to handle in a dangerous way. Was they falling in love with each other at this time. The chemistry between them were sexual tension and the physical attraction was totally intense and spicy hot of hate and love in a passion way. They couldn't even fight the temptation any longer from the one night with him will change her life forever in this crazy moment.
I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

Frustrating!!

I read the first book of this series and although I mostly liked the characters, that book was fraught with grammatical errors and the editing was extraordinarily terrible. However, I wanted to give the author and this book another shot. I have mixed feelings now that I have finished Dark Mafia Bride. Again, I liked the characters BUT AGAIN the editing was terrible. This book often contradicted itself from one paragraph to the next. Examples: Alessia, the heroine’s best friend is first said to drive a Honda Civic. Chapters later, it’s a Malibu. Chapters after that it’s back to the Honda. Mirabella, after accepting the wedding proposal and contract does not know the identity of her groom, however, on the day of the wedding somehow now knows the groom’s name and his wretched aunts’ names while fleeing from said wedding only to be “surprised” again by his identity later that day. I kept reading because the characters and story were just interesting enough that I wanted to see how their story ended. I cannot give more than three stars, however, because so little time appeared to have been spent on ensuring proper editing was done. I doubt I will read another of this author’s books.

Gave me the ick from the first pages…

I’m not really into reviewing a book except when it’s really good and it needs to be known but here will be my first “meh” review.

I gave it a thought, 3 stars ⭐️ is a lot for something I almost DNF. But there was still some good work… Taking apart the choices of name characters (which is just some preferences, and tastes & colors aren’t debatable they are personal), the MMC is to die for. The FMC is not a character I can recognize myself in , as her attitude // personality // way of being herself is far from what I root for or what I like in e FMC

She wants to change someone that has lived in a certain world for almost his entire life. She isn’t keen on trying to understand his world without necessarily wanting to get involved. She blames him for things he didn’t do or know… while he still try to get everything right for her.

The storyline would have been amazing if the FMC had continued having a strong backbone all along. I thought she was fierce and knew what she wanted… but the more I read the more her character’s personality was changing.

It is one of the first book where I have to force myself to finish and I feel sad about it…

The female lead was easy to hate

The book started off okay. And I don't have issue with the quality of the author's writing. But that's about as good as it gets I absolutely hated this female lead. From keeping her pregnancy a secret for such a long time, for running out on her wedding, just her personality I couldn't help but hate her. I skipped over big parts of it and every time I picked up she was doing something stupid. Like going to the cafe across from campus with a male student. And this book was Mafia light. Heavy on the relationship between the two which I normally don't mind but I like a lot of Mafia action as well and it's just wasn't that. For somebody that's in the mafia it barely even mentioned a mafia family. She went lots of places without protection. He allowed her to leave him. She talked to him like she was running the show and I hated everything about this book. I will not be reading the rest of the series.

I can’t stand false promises where they say they will protect you and they are never there doing as they promised. Or characters who are written as dominant, don’t mess with them bc they will regret it, but it it comes to their family treating their woman like shit, it’s just empty threats with so many chances. Annoying. It takes away from how the character was supposed to be portrayed. Or the FMC is so angry and rightly so, but then they get sexual?…yeah no. What was the whole point of the valid argument and the anger. Another thing I can stand is when men profess their love and how they will do anything for their woman, but so easily believes lies and won’t even trust that their woman is telling the truth. I wanted to like this book, but there were just so many tropes I can’t stand.

⭐️⭐️⭐️,5

Ettore and Mirabella’s story was interesting. Mirabella carries a lot on her shoulders and is looking for a wealthy man to support her family. The two of them have a ons and that’s supposed to be it. While she’s pursuing the idea of finding a rich husband - an idea she initially dismisses - she’s approached with an offer for a marriage arrangement. She agrees at first, but then decides not to go through with it because she doesn’t know who she would be marrying. Ofc, they end up getting married. What really bothered me was the living situation, his family and the lack of communication, that’s where the story felt like it was missing depth. The pregnancy plot twist came somewhat out of the blue, and overall the story development didn’t fully draw me in.

2.5 stars. This book could have been better, the transition between scenes wasn’t always the smoothest. There were also words missing at parts which was kind of confusing. With some better editing, this book could have been 3 stars. The storyline was okay, but again, some editing would have made it better. For instance, at the beginning, the FMC owed a side character $20,000. There was a scene where she paid him half the amount owed and mentioned that she would pay the rest shortly. Then a couple chapters later, her debt was taken care of. Great, when did that happen? There were just some inconsistencies that made the book confusing and I think took away from the overall plot.

Truly loved this book. The storyline was fascinating and the characters so very real
MiraBella is a young woman working three different jobs to help with the care of her mother who is ill, her sister and her Nonna. One night while walking home she is approached by several men who work for a very sleazy man she owes money to. They want money for their boss. As they are about to hit her a car pulls up and out steps Ettore. He kills them and takes her to a hotel.
He has his men track her down and make her a proposal she can’t refuse. Marry him and he will take care of her and her family plus pay off her debt. She reluctantly accepts. Three days later she is to be married.

This dark mafia romance begins with immediate action where Ettore rescues Mirabella and it doesn’t take long for sparks to fly. Bella is an innocent but strong FMC that can’t fight her attraction to Ettore despite him being a morally grey mafia man nicknamed the Reaper. He’s possessive and protective in all the best ways. Their journey to a happily-ever-after is derailed when Ettore is given false information on his bride, but everything works out in the end. The spice was on point with this book!

Ettore and Mirabella come from difficult backgrounds and as a result do not trust easily. When one night stand results in two pink lines they are faced with establishing a relationship and as they work to build one someone brings information to Ettore having him questioning Mirabella. This story had my emotions all over the place as I connected with Ettore and Mirabella as they traveled a difficult path to happiness.

I thought this was a really good book. Ginn6 is in an arranged marriage she has a run-in with an old family friend Dario she has a few words with him. Her brother Enzo used to be friends with him until they had fallen out. Enzo tried to keep her hidden from Dario until the run-in. Dario is trying to hurt their family business as their pay back until Ginny gets kidnapped and Dario saves her. The stipulation is she is gonna have to marry him and stay married for 10 years or lose the family business. She can't stand him, and he can't stand her.

I have to say, this book really covered a lot of emotions … power, revenge, lust, desperation, family…forgiveness and acceptance. I would only add that I was surprised that there was never a mention of the first movement of the babies or even an ultrasound picture. I believe that it could’ve given just a bit more “bang” to the story. Especially since Ettore was trying to redeem himself. The experience of seeing and feeling the moments of your unborn child (in this case twins!), can be an amazing experience for father’s and mother’s.

Lies to love

Ettore and Mirabella. Their story has so many rollercoaster moments in it. You couldn't say if it was lies or love. Some part of the story was off especially their Wedding one minute she didn't know who she was marrying and the next minute she said Ettore is dangerous and then she goes back to not knowing who she was marrying . In the end Ettore has fallen head over heels in love with his Bella 😍

Frustrating

My first time to write a review because the FMC is truly not likable. I cannot find a reason to root for her. She is annoying with her irrational decision-making and misplaced stubbornness. She is not a smart and honorable person. It made it hard for me to like her. Strength of character does not mean stubbornness and impulsive irresponsible behavior which is what the FMC consistently displays.

Did not finish.

I stopped at 54 percent. I kept hoping it would get better. Mirabella is immature and ungrateful . Her decisions put her family and herself in danger. She is annoying. Ettore allows his family to insult Mirabella. I hope he does something about it later , but I don't know. Mirabella goes to Ettore to protect her family and herself , but she does not have any sense of self-preservation.

The first 25% of the book was fantastic. I thought the premise was great. Then the writing started to get riddled with inconsistencies, and the main characters behaved in ways I didn't understand. Ettore constantly vowed protection, but I saw very little of it. Mirabella's behavior was all over the place; I found her quite frustrating.

Mafia man

He looked at the most beautiful woman ever. She would be his tonight, at least this night. He wakes in the morning, his hand searching the bed for her. He realizes all is quiet and she is gone. The pursuit begins. He’s never felt these things before. What has she done to him?

I don't know mild spoilers

I got about 50% through and skipped to the end. Idk it just wasn't doing it for me. The FMC just kind of annoyed me. How do you let a man who has caused you so much fear, stress, and trauma voice hold more weight than the man who hasn't done anything but be there. The worse thing he did was not tell you who he was. You signed a contract to save your mom and yourself from the dangerous loan shark you borrowed from and then tried to renig. Idk I just didn't care for her character.

Jealousy- revenge- love still blossoms

Such intensity between Bella and Entorra. Love from the first night but either want to admit it to themselves. The 3 Aunts were unreal. How any one could be so bitter and hateful makes one shiver.will love prevail?
