What happens when Earth first learns about aliens and magic? Can a small group manage the fallout?Pillar Betsy Doeth’s lifelong work has been to protect the general population of Earth from the knowledge of magic and aliens. She has acted as a liaison and diplomat between humanity and other alien races for many years. Some of the friendlier aliens, like the chanzii, have helped her and the other Pillars lock the planet's borders against hostile visitors. As one of the few Earthlings with magic, walking the line between aliens and the majority of people who don’t know about either the extraterrestrial or wizardry had been challenging and exciting enough for anyone’s life work.
What Betsy didn’t need was an invasion, caught on the internet, instantly informing everyone on the planet of the truth of aliens and magic in one fell swoop.
Following the krottel invasion, Betsy finds her life consumed by being the public face of the Pillars. While her life is taken over with public appearances, only less awful because she’s joined by the gorgeous chanziian, Major Violet North, the other Pillars research the effect the influx of magic has had in the world. Betsy splits her time investigating a town of magic users previously unknown to the Pillars. Until this discovery, Betsy and the Pillars believed they were the only magic wielders on Earth.
As a group of five Pillars, can they stay ahead of the number of people suddenly figuring out magic, using its power as a religious hammer, or wanting to research it for their own ends?

“Conflict Reawakened” is book four of Harlowe Frost’s sapphic sci-fi series. Like the previous books it also has comedic and romantic elements and some spicy scenes sprinkled throughout. This series has been a ton of fun to read, and book four didn’t disappoint. This one has a different perspective; a lot of the aliens have returned to their home worlds, and our earthling heroine Viera has gone to Abritos with girlfriend Thorn.
This offering follows Betsy, one of Earth’s “pillars” of magic, and her new girlfriend Major Violet North. (“Pillars” are explained in the beginning of this book for you, but you really should read the entire series. Honest!) Book three also let everyone on Earth know that there are aliens among us as well as magic. As you would imagine, all sorts of eccentric folks come out of the woodwork with those bits of news. This book is another easy to read, fun entry in the series with aliens, other planets, and even a unicorn. And qynads (they look like dragons)!
Once more an exciting book from Harlowe Frost. This time we focus on Betsy and her story after knowledge came out about aliens and magic. We see an exciting relationship bloom between Betsy and Major Violet North. And a whole town of magic users come to light.
I liked seeing my name as one of the characters even though I am now stressed about what the other books will bring for my name sake.
Keep up the good work Harlowe, I really love reading your books.
I am loving this wonderful and magic series! Betsy and Violet's romance, the tiny hidden village of Oz where almost everyone has the magic fire power, the little girl's struggle of not fitting in and Viera's continued improvement of her magic, all are fantastic and a delight to read! I appreciate the author's vivid description of the characters, her futuristic worldbuilding, and the smooth, easygoing style of storytelling. It is an exciting read full of wonders and happiness. I received this book as her ARC reader and I am so glad that I totally enjoyed it and still wanting more!
I will say I started this not remembering much from the first three but by the end of chapter two it all came back and I was fully engrossed. There is a lot going on in this read so you gotta buckle up and prepare!! It also ends in the worst cliffhanger, leaving you literally dying to know what happens next!
I'm really glad that the series is continuing! This is the fourth book, and it picks up right where the last one left off—at the news conference where the world learns about aliens and magic. Several new characters are introduced, and I’m excited to learn more about them. The story focuses more on the pillars of Earth and the various tasks that Betsy must undertake. The book concludes with a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to read the next one!
I love how this story continued! Learning more about magic users on Earth was entirely unexpected. Talk about a nail biter at the end. I can’t wait to read more!
