I started reading this series in 2021 and I can't believe it's over now. I really enjoyed the whole series and this book. It was so fun to have all the titans together in this one. I really love the dynamic of the characters together, as well as all their individual personalities.
I just wish that we had more cyborg scenes, as he was the only titan without a specific book for him. So at least some more on his past would've been nice.
The art of the whole series was amazing and I am so impressed with the details added and how Picolo was able to capture their characters so well. The story line was also fantastic and had me hooked since book 1. I already loved the Teen Titans before this series and I was so pleased with how they did this adaptation.
This Teen Titans series has become such a comfort series that I constantly go back to. I am really sad it's over but so happy for an amazing ending and I’m so excited to see what Gabriel Picolo and Kami Garcia bring us next in their Young Justice series!!

Wow, this sucked. Six books leading up to what turns out to be almost nothing but relationship drama. The big bads of Trigon, Slade Wilson and H.I.V.E. get beat in about 5 pages so we can have plenty of room to have all of the team members pair off and dream about how dreamy their dreamboats are. At least Picolo's art continues to be really good.

A fitting end for Teen Titans with all of them finally together. I'm going to miss this series. Its one of the few books I could read with my niece, but I guess we'll have to find a new alternative.
I wish we had gotten more volumes. I think that might have helped since this one felt rushed, but it was still a nice ending.

I really wanted to love this one because obviously… Teen Titans. I grew up on this and I absolutely LOVE Gabriel Picolo’s artwork. His art is honestly one of my favorite things about this entire series, and I’ll definitely still be checking out the Young Justice series because of it.

That being said, I was a little disappointed with the writing in this one. I feel like all of the conflicts were way too linear. It was basically problem → conversation → immediate solution, and then onto the next problem. There just wasn’t enough time for anything to actually breathe. I wanted the characters to sit with their feelings and deal with the consequences of their actions a little more instead of everything being resolved almost immediately.

The Starfire and Blackfire storyline especially got me because Starfire kept calling out Blackfire for being ableist, and then Blackfire at the end was basically like, “Oh my god, you’re right. I need to work on myself and go to therapy.” And I was just sitting there like… wait, what? 😭 I understand what the story was trying to address, and I don’t necessarily disagree with the message, but it felt really heavy-handed. It came across more like the characters were explaining the lesson to the reader rather than having a natural conversation.

I think that was my biggest issue overall. The conflicts themselves weren’t necessarily bad, but the resolutions happened so quickly that they didn’t feel very realistic. I wanted a little more messiness, tension, and actual character development before everyone suddenly understood each other and moved on.

Still absolutely love the artwork and the Teen Titans themselves, so I’m definitely sticking around for Young Justice. I just wish this one had been given a little more room to develop because I think it could’ve been SO much better.

(I was originally going to rate this a 3.5, but this book felt more on par with how my 3.25 star books made me feel).


Maybe it’s just me and I’m tired, but I feel like this didn’t really live up to the expectations I had for it and was a bit of a letdown.



What I didn’t like:

• I get that this was about teens trying to work together through conflict, but it felt like there was too much drama and too little action for a story about superpowers.

• Could have done without Damien asking if Kong (a male monkey) likes boy monkeys.

• Damian and Dick’s relationship seemed to get much better at the end of Book 4, but in this book, Damien just randomly yelled at Dick for what felt like no reason (and I get that Kira manipulated him, but still).

• Max’s whole thing about holding back her emotions felt like a step down from previous books (I mean, she clearly shows her emotions in Book 4). Then there was the whole thing with the weird “ghosts” (cause I’m pretty sure they weren’t actually dead), and that one girl from book 5 feeling a completely random (not romantic I think) kinship with Max. That whole storyline was executed wrong.

• The ending fights were rushed. Raven vs Trigon was good, but Gar’s whole “I love you” speech felt rushed (and that whole scene in general).

• No one wore a super hero costume.

• Plot holes! Are Kira and Kori aliens like in the original? Never touched on. I would assume not in this version, seeing as they have a mom and brother who actually look like them.

Also, why was Kori on Slade’s list shown in (again) Book 4? Why was he following her in Book 5? No one knew she had powers (I guess the same thing could be said for Raven in book 1 of though). I guess, besides Gar, we have no idea how H.I.V.E. found out about the characters.

• The book 5’s plot overlapping with previous volumes felt like it was executed wrong.



What I did like:

• Green Gar! Classic Beast Boy!

• Vic! He was a great character! Plus when he went into the computer world, he looked like classic Cyborg!

• I still really like Kori as a character! (I like the other characters too but Kori is my favorite!).

• Future spin-off book foreshadowing! Slade’s classic Deathstroke mask, Young Justice, Project Cadmus. Makes me remember when I used to binge the first two seasons of Young Justice on Netflix (never watched past that though).


…Okay. I guess there was more I didn’t like. I don’t know…it just felt a bit more boring than previous volumes, yes, even book 4 (but really, is book 4 even canon at this point. I mean, besides the power training. Not really interconnected well.) I guess I would still have to give it 3.25 stars, even though I feel bad since I love this series. Also, re-reading it and flipping through later on sometimes helps me to appreciate it more.

The story felt very rushed. Everyone was trying to solve their own issues and deal with HIVE at the same time. I have a chronic illness as well and it just seemed like Kori was always only talking about her illness and not really about anything else. Yes having a chronic illness sucks but you also have to see that kira felt left behind. They also “fixed” kira by having her say she was going to therapy? Damian leaving and immediately realizing that he did the wrong thing just felt so quick. I love the art and I was a huge fan of teen titans growing up but this just didn’t work out for me.

Honestlyyyy I think I’d give this a 3.5 maybe?

It wasn’t a bad book nor a bad ending, I just think it felt kind of rushed and like everything came together too quickly and too easily. I hope the ending implies that this truly isn’t the last we’ll see of these guys together. I’d love to see them suited up and working on more hero missions together.

I did enjoy that we finally got the origin for Cyborg and he got through his anxiety of turning into a machine and losing his autonomy. I will however say I am still upset Cyborg didn’t receive his own book, he deserved one. I don’t know who’s fault it is since Picolo said it was up to the publishers and I’ve seen Garcia say she wanted to write Cyborg but felt like she couldn’t be the one to write from a black pov. Allegedly she also submitted a list of writers but none were selected by the publishers. I still feel like Garcia could’ve written it with the help of editors and black sensitivity readers if they were actually concerned with authentically capturing a black experience, especially with a storyline like Cyborg’s where it revolves around body autonomy and disability. I just think it could’ve been possible and it’s a huge failing in my eyes that every Teen Titan got a book dedicated to them AND even the “BB loves Raven” but there was no Cyborg book.

I was kinda frustrated seeing that Dick and Damian were fighting again and although I wasn’t able to reread the Robin and Starfire book to refresh my memory, I thought they’d come to a mutual understanding and started building towards a better relationship. This book felt like they were stagnant or took a step backwards until the very end when they FINALLY decided to communicate. Also Max’s fears about love and opening up to others felt like out of place and I just didn’t understand why she felt that way. She’s had to deal with gaining a new sister in Raven and she was involved romantically with Eman (who was finally mentioned again in this book and she revealed they broke up bc I was wondering about that in the previous books). She was also really flirty with Damian before and I think they’ve even kissed so I don’t know why she suddenly had these feelings of hesitation. I don’t even feel like the resolution with her powers and opening up to Damian was satisfying.

Dick and Kori sorta came out of nowhere but I guess they could be the kind of couple that falls hard and fast for each other. I think Beast Boy and Raven were the best couple but when Dark Raven sent BB into Raven’s mind, I feel like things were resolved too easily bc of his “I love you” speech. I really was hoping there would be more fight scenes in this book because the cast were previously training their powers. I wish they actually used their powers more in this book. Especially bc I remember Damian and Dick raised the armory and Damian took some tool but I don’t even remember him using it while he and Dick fought Slade. Like failed Chekov’s gun moment.

Kori and Kira’s relationship is interesting to me and complex, because Kira seems to care for Kori but she is still jealous and manipulative and ableist because of misunderstandings and insecurity. I think she just learned her lesson too easily and admitted she needed therapy. She was right about needing therapy though but after how venomous she was in this book, I feel like she just changed after seeing Kori in mortal danger. I’m sure this was probably the wake up call she needed, but again it just contributes to the feeling I got that every conflict was resolved cleanly and quickly.

I loved Picolo’s art as usual and I think the panels were really well drawn. I enjoyed his scenes of the team sitting around together in the tower either working on their mission or just having fun. It reminded me of the early 2000s cartoon and the banter that that original group shared.

These comics have been with me through a lot in life. From 2019, when I was studying in Getafe, 2022 when I lived in Berlin, to 2026, where I live in London.

I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan of the series but Starfire got my hopes up only to be disappointed again. It's been a while since I read the previous volumes so maybe my expectations got distorted but almost nothing happens in what was meant to be a big finale. Over half consists of cliché YA teen relationship drama with the actual threats mentioned.

The actual ending was alright though anticlimactic, saved by the power of love and friendship as characters changed their minds in a second. After their long, fractured relationship Blackfire hears Kori (only now) tell her that their mother didn't actually spend time with her, believes her, instantly apologises and promises to get therapy.. What?
A lot of things feel like cop outs eg fights over in a second and barely shown. Slade hardly does anything here and the previous Adeline Kane teaser amounts to nothing. 

Damian doesn't fit this team (but Dick becomes Nightwing at the end to make room for him), Max was made for this series and they get more focus then Cyborg.
Others have canonical struggles but Kori's big showdown with Kira is reduced to disability commentary, which just isn't a Starfire thing and was given too much focus.
The reason for HIVE's threat isn't really expanded apart from a repeat of experimenting on kids that Damian conveniently overhears, we're just meant to remember they're totally evil and do stuff. 

I might be nitpicking but I'm in the age range for this, I guess it's just really not my thing then. My expectations were probably too high for YA but this was really hyped up and I wanted to like it.

I absolutely loved the family aspect of this comic book! I’ve been a fan of this comic book series since it first came out and I highly recommend it to anyone that’s a fan of teen titans! It’s a great read with beautiful artwork! Also, that Easter egg at the end made me excited for the next comic! I can’t wait to read more!! Always 5 Stars for these comic books!

I wanted to like this, but the writing fell apart here.
For starters the ending was super anti-climatic… it left me feeling like barely anything had happened in the book and frustration hit me as I finished the last couple of pages and realized this was pretty much the end of this series before they start a new arc.
The main issue I have is with some character choices.
For star fire It really felt like her disability was made a main focus, which was fine originally, but it was so heavily focused on that it started to tear itself down. The final battle between Kori and black fire was mainly arguing and Kori speaking about how she couldn’t do normal things, even saying she couldn’t play kickball or go to parties… how then am I supposed to believe that a girl who can flare up from a small sports game or social gathering is currently engaged in a superpower battle with her sister with no consequences? It made the addition to the character feel disingenuous and more like it was added so Kami could say they had the representation.
And suddenly after this, after 2 betrayals everyone is cool with black fire and Kori accepts her back on the condition she goes to therapy…
And my other gripe is with Damien, he had little to no development. He honestly was just frustrating to read about, he and dick still can’t get along even though I thought these brotherly issues were worked out in volume 4 (though I could be wrong since it’s been awhile). It feels like they made him more of a pain so he had an excuse to betray the gang later.
I will say I liked the cute moments between the couples… thats about it for me.

Here we are, at the final installment! I've really enjoyed this series and I'm sad to see it come to a close. The dialogue and illustrations leap off the page, but what else have we come to expect from Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo? Every Titan gets their time to shine in this story, and I love the progress each character makes. I hope we'll see more of our beloved group in the future!

I loved seeing the final outcome of the gang and how at the end both sets of siblings realized how much they love eachother. I wish we got more expanded on cyborg but overall I really enjoyed this whole series!!

First, the obligatory reprimand. Y’all know y’all DEAD WRONG for skipping Cyborg/Victor’s solo story. We got a little sauce with Vic speaking of the frustration/insecurity that people see him more as a machine than a man. There was no real time for the plot to spend on him, but this mini-internal struggle was supposed to be given as a consolation.

Besides that, while the story beats are predictable, especially with Kira’s (Blackfire’s) manipulation attempts, it was entertaining, and the characters do try to reason with logic.
The relationships here have moved very quickly; Dick and Kori are booed up to infinity, but the goodwill of Teen Titans (2003) lets the RobStar and BBRae coast. Max and Damian were very fast too, but I like them for some reason. The sibling dynamics come to a head in this volume.

Damian’s daddy issues and inferiority complex will get very annoying for some readers. Many of the characters had gray/dark thought bubbles, so it was confusing which ones belonged to which characters. I wish they had more distinct color bubbles.

As always, I love the artwork. While I don’t think this Teen Titans series has been written well overall, the latter entries have been good. The Dick and Damian dynamic is one of my favorite things to have come from this series besides Picolo’s illustrations and how Kori dealt with her chronic illness.

The way I yelped when I got approved on Netgalley for Teen Titans: Together this morning.

I’ve been instant preordering this series since Raven was announced solely because Gabriel Picolo drew all my favorite Starfire fan art. And I’m so sad that this story is over but I can’t wait to see what’s next…

Book wise I loved how everyone got their little moment to shine and how some characters got more closure than others. I craved another 20 pages but I also flat out wouldn’t have said no to another book.

I’ll add more when it comes out as I don’t want to spoil but I was very happy with my girl Starfire’s arc. So obviously it’s a 5 stars.

I have really enjoyed this series so far and had really high hopes for it. While I think there were some points that were interesting, I think too much was put into this volume that could have been broken up into two. I am still super salty that Cyborg isn't getting his own book when we only get glimpses of his story in this volume and the last.

I think there is so much good here but I don't know that it met the mark.

Soooo what do I look forward to now... This aside this I ended reading this at the best time. I feel better now. If there is one trope that I can never have enough of it's going to be found family. I need like more like right now. I love this art style and I do love how there was a point where they were just enjoying each others company. Can't wait to reread in a few years. I kind of need the collection where the spines or maybe it was the covers that all connect with each other.

I absolutely love this series and I am so glad to see them team up. Raven has kept her place as my favorite. I really love seeing her fighting her dad but also being super sweet with Beast Boy. I did feel for the whole team with the varying levels of betrayal they had all faced. I can't wait for more!

I was really looking forward to the conclusion of this series. It felt like it dragged at the beginning and then went really fast at the end. A few characters in here were also pissing me off basically the whole time, overall I'm glad I read it and I enjoyed this series overall. Also the last few pages were great visually and storywise
