The way I yelped when I got approved on Netgalley for Teen Titans: Together this morning.
I’ve been instant preordering this series since Raven was announced solely because Gabriel Picolo drew all my favorite Starfire fan art. And I’m so sad that this story is over but I can’t wait to see what’s next…
Book wise I loved how everyone got their little moment to shine and how some characters got more closure than others. I craved another 20 pages but I also flat out wouldn’t have said no to another book.
I’ll add more when it comes out as I don’t want to spoil but I was very happy with my girl Starfire’s arc. So obviously it’s a 5 stars.

I was really looking forward to the conclusion of this series. It felt like it dragged at the beginning and then went really fast at the end. A few characters in here were also pissing me off basically the whole time, overall I'm glad I read it and I enjoyed this series overall. Also the last few pages were great visually and storywise

Rating: 4 stars - It was really good
The gang is finally all together and now they are working to stop H.I.V.E. and their experiments on teens with super-human abilities. Kori Anders is next on their list to recruit, but she is skeptical and quickly joins Dick Grayson, Raven Roth, Garfield Logan, Max Navarro and Damian Wayne to fight against H.I.V.E.. But when she finds out that her sister is working with H.I.V.E. she becomes even more determined to show her the truth on top of stopping them.
It was great that we finally got to see the whole team together! There are a couple of different things happening in this volume, which is crazy for how short it is. Kori is learning about her abilities and also struggling to convince her sister that H.I.V.E. is bad. There is also a lot of tension between them outside of H.I.V.E. centered around Kori’s health issues, which does come to a breaking point and things are said. I liked the growth of Kori’s character in this and how she finally stands up for herself against her sister and tells her how ableist she has been. It also liked how in the end they hadn’t reconciled completely but they were working toward a possible healthy future relationship together.
At the same time, we have the tension between Dick and Damian. These two don’t really get along, even though it is clear Dick is trying and wants a relationship with Damian. Danian really shows his youth in this with how quickly he is to get angry and aggressive any time Dick is around. But, I do like that we see these two working their issues out toward the end of this volume and actually talking to each other about their feelings. It makes me excited to see the future of their relationship, even if I know we probably won’t get more volumes in this series. I just want to see Nightwing and Robin fighting crime.
This volume also finally deals with Raven’s father Tigon. He was unleashed in Beast Boy Loves Raven, but it isn’t until this one that we really see him come back into play and a plan to stop him. I enjoyed finally seeing Raven utilizing her ability and taking on Tigon. It was an interesting fight, but honestly, it felt rushed and easy. It wasn’t the difficult battle I was expecting from Tigon.
During all of the things that happen in this volume, the relationships between these couples were all changing. We see tensions grow between some, and fights happen, while others become more settled and stronger. These definitely are teenage/young adult relationships that are filled with tension from outside forces and also just the tension from trying to figure yourself out at that age. That said, I still really loved them all and liked how many couples we had in this series overall.
Of course this ends with the battle against H.I.V.E.. This ended up being really interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. It showcased everyone's different abilities, but also showed how they can work well together. I will say, I was a bit sad that Raven and Garth were not a part of the battle because I wanted everyone to work together in this fight, but it was still enjoyable.
Overall, this was a great volume and I really enjoyed it. I don’t know if there will be more volumes in this series, but I really hope so because I want to see how this group grows and finally become superheroes.

Did you watch Teen Titans as a kid? I did, and when I found out there was a graphic novel series with these amazing characters, you know I immediately snatched it up! Thank you, NetGalley, DC Comics, Kami Garcia, and Gabriel Picolo for sending me this advanced review copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily and with joy in my heart!
I have had so much fun reading these Teen Titans books by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo. It has been a real gift to reconnect with these characters after so many years. This, seemingly final, volume felt like the perfect completion to their story arc. As alluded to in the title, it is the team’s great culmination in showing their teamwork and using their various special abilities to fight against Slade Wilson, H.I.V.E., and Trigon.
This volume is really special in the moments of found family, romance, action, and genuine comedy. One of my favorite scenes is at the top of the novel where the gang seemingly adopts a monkey from the zoo. They are discussing their varying ideas on how to handle the threats from each villain in the series, as well as how they should help Starfire with her sister, Kira. In the next scene, the additional monkey is just there - almost as if it always was!
Note that there are similar themes as previous volumes such as mental health struggles, interpersonal conflicts within families, as well as depictions of chronic health conditions that may not be suitable for all audiences. That being said, I genuinely do not believe there are any topics discussed in any of the six volumes of this graphic novel series that are outside the realm of creative storytelling and are handled with proper responsibility and care! These books are suitable for readers of all ages.
My only note for this volume lies in the relationship between Starfire and Kira. It is clear that the author wanted to depict the deep, ingrained conflict between them, in addition to the arduous existence of living with a chronic health condition such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). I felt that this mechanic was beaten into the reader over and over again. To me, it was to the point that Kira felt more like a caricature than a fully fleshed-out character, and made the ending resolution between the girls feel hollow and unnatural.
One of my favorite aspects of this story is the lore drop about why Beast Boy is green! I had always wondered, being a casual fan, why he was green! This was a beautiful and tender moment between him and Raven, and I ATE it UP!
In closing, this series is exactly as wonderful as you think it could be. The art is fantastic. The storyline is well constructed with a full cast of villainous villains, and it is absolutely full of genuine comedic moments. If you are a reader coming back into the hobby after a break, or merely want to spice up your reading life, this graphic novel series is perfect for you!

Did I start this entire graphic novel series because I saw the cover of this book where everyone finally joins forces? Yup. Was it worth it? YUPPP.
Another reason I picked up this series was because of the gorgeous illustrations. I just love how expressive and lively they are, I would happily stare at these pages for hours.
Finally seeing the whole team together was SO satisfying, and the found family aspect was genuinely so heartwarming. What I especially loved was that everyone got their own moment to shine. We learn more about their fears, vulnerabilities, powers, and the things that make them them. I also loved that there was more tension between the characters this time, it gave their relationships so much more depth, and I really enjoyed seeing their character arcs come together.
The pacing was solid, the action was fun, and everything flowed really well. My only complaint is that I wish it were a bit longer, I wanted to spend more time exploring the experiments and the world behind everything because I feel like there was still so much more to uncover.
Overall, this was such a thrilling, nostalgic ride. Would 100% recommend, especially if you grew up reading or watching Teen Titans.

This is it! The big finale! The team up! The clash of the titans! (Heh, titans pun) The one where everything finally comes together! What started all the way back in 2019 with Teen Titans Raven has reached a crescendo! There were so many pay offs in this volume and they were so worthwhile to see. Stuff like Gar/Beast Boy using his powers to fully change into animals on page.All of the characters just vibing off of each other was fun to witness too. There’s lots of mythology gags and little Easter eggs if you’re familiar with the comics or even the show from the 00’s (mostly the show though) Everything here in this sixth volume feels worked for. Everything our teen heroes accomplish feels earned not forced. Not too shabby for a series that started out as fan art. On that same topic the art work for the series is still 💯!

This series has been a constant delightful surprise over the past few years and I cannot wait to have a physical copy of this finale to put on my shelf. Garcia & Picolo are such a good team. She's a master at telling teen stories with just the right mix of heart, sass, and adventure. His illustrations are so charming - it's impossible not to love them.
In terms of a resolution, without spoilers, this wraps up all of the open plot lines it comes in with. I will say the pacing of the back half is a bit overly fast, but other than that, I have no notes. It hits all the beats you want out of a superhero graphic novel and, more importantly to me, a myriad of HEAs for our heroes. Definitely recommend to anyone who's gotten this deep into the series and recommend the series as a whole to anyone who is even a little curious.

I have been waiting two years to get my hands on this so when I got approved on Netgalley to read this. I wasted absolutely no time at all. I loved how we had the whole Teen Titans team together and I feel like everything truly did fall into place. There is always going to be more to tell when it comes to DC heroes and I think the authors did a great job at leaving the door open for more possibilities. I’m always going to be a Starfire and Nightwing girly I just think they are so adorable together as well as Raven and Beast Boy. I’m so sad this series is over but I’m excited to see what’s going to happen in the new series which will be YOUNG JUSTICE!!

After a wonderful 5 book journey, the Teen Titans are reaching the conclusion of their arch in the 6th book, TOGETHER. In this last installment, we see the team assemble to figure out two primary problems: How to deal with Slade and H.I.V.E, who have been hunting gifted individuals (including 2 of the Teen Titans); and what to do with Trigon, Raven’s ruthless demon father, who’s on the loose.
I'll post my full review on August 4 when the title releases. :)

Sooo did I realize this was the last one in a series ONLY after I was half way through? Yes. BUT! It’s Teen Titans, so obviously I still enjoyed myself! I could follow through it very easily and still am in love with the characters.
Was there also a few people I don’t really know who they are? Yes, but again you connect with the characters very easily and it’s easy to love them.
I LOVE THE ART STYLE! I’ve followed and liked Gabriel Picolo’s art for awhile so it was really cool to see it in a comic! I’m definitely going to go back and read the other 5!

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! AND THE NEWS AT THE END?!?!?! IT’S NOT REALLY OVER I AM SCREAMING!!!!!! This is so very good! As always, the art is TOP TIER. The story is great, and I loved seeing the teens using all their powers. I cannot wait to get a physical copy, and I am so excited for what’s coming soon!

The beginning was too slow, the ending was too rushed, and Vic deserved his own volume.

I am a if fan of this series despite not knowing much about the comic book hero universe depicted in it. The characters seem relatable while the artwork is visually appealing. My only critique is that the resolutions for the characters seemed a little too rushed and on the nose. Still, I enjoyed the inventive story and the memorable characters.
