Aubree Valentine began her book world career back in 2016 as a virtual assistant for a friend/fellow author and as a book blogger. But, she began writing stories long before that.
After carefully learning the ins and outs of the Indie book business, Aubree finally decided to give publishing a try for herself - with a whole lot of encouragement from the friends and mentors she met along the way.
Her first book, Take Back My Heart, was released in the fall of 2016, with its follow-up - Come Back to Me launching a year later. They were quickly followed by her breakout novel, Hot Cop, part of the Too Hot to Handle Series.
Aubree has a degree in sarcasm and resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, two children and several furbabies. She enjoys reading, chasing after her twins (or trying to keep them out of trouble), cuddling with her husband, and coming up with new project ideas that often involve power tools. She's usually always online via Facebook or Instagram @authoraubreevalentine or Tik Tok @aubreewritesromance .
Six months ago Fallon Addington had no idea that her world was going to come crashing down, but she knew the second she saw the two men wearing their Army uniforms standing on her doorstep that her husband wasn’t coming home.
After all they had gone through to start a family she couldn’t believe he was going to be there to see their four-year-old son Garrison grow into a man. He would never see the faces of their unborn twins.
Moving out of their home to her own little farm right before giving birth to twins was probably not the smartest thing Fallon could have done, but Garrett and Lindsay were starting their own family and she wanted Kevin’s sister to have the home that was located on the Addington family ranch.
Her husband’s best friend Beckett was there to make sure she had everything she needed. Beckett, their best friend, who had given them so much. Anything to make them happy, even if it meant putting his feelings behind his best friend Kevin’s.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. OK, I cried through most of this book. Harder some times than others. So have a box of Kleenex at the ready.
This book is action-packed and highly emotional. The book starts out with the worst thing a military wife can encounter… the two officers standing at your door. You know what they are going to say before they speak a word. So yeah, you will cry, a lot…
This book has a few unexpected twists that make it even more emotional and when Fallon and Beckett both receive the ‘if you are reading this’ letters from Kevin – well…
This is the first time I have read anything by Aubree Valentine, but I will be prepared for any future books making sure I have Kleenex on standby because I’m sure this won’t be the first emotional read from her. Highly recommend.
My first book by Aubree Valentine! Quick and easy to read!
This book had such a great blurb for me and I was so excited to read it. I think I hyped it up too much in my mind though because while I enjoyed it, it was quick and a little too unrealistic for me.
I know it’s less than 200 pages so obviously things have to go quickly but I think the grieving widow aspect might have needed to either already be dealt with or maybe we get a flashback of her first husband’s passing instead of being with her present time.
Beckett is such a stud though. I loved his character and how we get to see him be vulnerable and open with Fallon. I love how he steps up and fulfills his promises he made.
While I love that these two found their HEA I did wish it was longer so that we got more of a realistic timeline on their grief and journey together.
This is the second book in this series and this is Beckett and Fallon’s story. Beckett is a war torn soldier, who promised his best friend that if he did not make it back home, he would take care of Fallon and his children. Fallon is mourning the loss of her husband, while being pregnant with twins, as well as a toddler. Beckett shows up on Fallon’s doorstep insisting on helping her, and over time feeling develop into more. This is a well written emotional roller coaster story which is easy to read, with family, friendships, loss, grief, humor, healing, acceptance, second chance at love, which leads to a sweet, and heartwarming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This was a beautiful love story about love after loss. Fallon lost her husband in the line of duty while pregnant with twins. She also has a young son. Beckett her husband’s best friend has been there for her. As they heal from his loss, they began to see each other differently. They are reluctant because they worry about what others will think and about the timing. Beckett and Fallon eventually cannot ignore their connection.
This was a sweet, sensual and beautiful second chance romance. Love heals all and Beckett and Fallon deserved to be happy. Beckett loved Fallon and I was so happy when he accepted the love she had for him.
Ranger follows Beckett and Fallon. Fallon and Beckett are tied together is many ways. Beckett was her late husband’s best friend, who is entrusted to look after Fallon and her kids. Fallon is working through being a widow and mom to three.
Ranger is a book on the shorter side, so the storyline moved quickly. It jumped through the timeline a little quicker than I would have liked. There was a fair amount of backstory/character development that could have benefited from a longer story. This was my first book by this author, but I will definitely go back for another story!
This story is very unconventional and had great potential, but it was a much bigger story than the 160 pages could handle. It wasn’t bad per se, there were just so many places that felt rushed and there were a lot of missed opportunities to establish a more full bodied character/relationship. I would have really appreciated more backstory or flashback scenes to really connect with the relationship between all three, Fallon, Beckett and Kevin. There were some nice twists and points that really helped keep me invested, but overall, I just wanted more.
This is a good story that I enjoyed reading, but all of the flashbacks and everything throughout the story made it kind of hard to follow for me and in my honest opinion, it would be better suited as a longer story instead of just 183 pages as I felt that the story ended super abruptly. I expected more of the story at the end of the epilogue but instead it went straight into a preview of another one of the author's books.
*I received an ARC from Indie Pen PR and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was my first book by Aubree Valentine. I enjoyed this book; however, it was a little on the short side; it left some questions unanswered. I loved Fallon and Beckett, their HEA was off the charts. I wanted more of the backstory on Fallon and Kevin.
Beckett is a keeper. I loved the way he took care of Fallon and her son. He knew when to step in and when to back off. He took care of her even when he was dealing with his own issues.
I want to know why Fallon’s parents acted the way they did. I guess I wanted a little more drama and pushback about their relationship.
In this story Beckett was a man who lost his best friend and Fallon was a woman who lost her husband. Pregnant with twins and having a preschooler Fallon is trying her best to keep her family together. When she is put on bed rest Beckett comes to her help her with the farm. Still healing from his injuries these two who lost someone they love try to get in with their life and in the mist find love again.
What a beautiful book!! Fallon receives the worst news any woman can receive and feels like her world is dark. Beckett is her and her husband's best friend and returns home injured to a heartbroken Fallon. There are other links in this couples lives that are beautifully handled. I now need to go back and read book one in this series.
A beautiful and emotionally written story about friendship, loss and love. Beckett and Fallon have both suffered the loss of her husband, his best friend. Beckett is there for a pregnant Fallon and her young son, while also recovering from his own injuries. I liked the build up of their relationship, Fallon was open to falling in love again and Beckett was so caring and understanding.
Where do I even begin!! This book was so so good and I could not get enough!! I was not expecting the twist with the kids but man what a perfect love story! I love these 2 for each other and just the fact his bff/her spouse that passed knew they belonged together was absolutely EVERYTHING!! Can’t wait for more in this series ❤️
Ranger is the second book in the Addington Ranch series which follows Fallon and Beckett through devastating loss, grief, healing and acceptance. This second chance romance broke my heart and had me going through some serious emotions but in the end put me back together again in the best way. I strongly suggest reading this book especially if you love a quick story that will take you through a couple of twists, turns as well as show you the strength of family, friends and the power of love.
This is my first read from this author. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style it was easy to read and very well written. The story line was very interesting and was something I have never read before. I give this book a solid 4.5 stars!
This is a story about love, loss and second chances. Fallon has lost her husband but still has a family to raise and a home to take care of. Beckett, her husband’s best friend , vowed to take care of them. As they all heal from physical and emotional wounds things change. Enjoy this story of healing and love. Enjoy
This is a great story about second chances and finding love when you least expect it. Fallon has as adorable son and is pregnant with twins. She loves her life…until one day she gets a knock on her door telling her that her husband is gone. Beckett was a military man all the way and loved it. He loved it until he was injured and lost his best friend. Healing from his injuries he goes home to fulfill a promise. The promise to take care of his best friends family. What he is not expecting was for his feelings for Fallon to be reciprocated. This is a fast paced love story. This is a sweet story with several emotional moments. The characters are well written with great depth and most of all they truly care for each other. Fallon was sweet and open to love again. Beckett was caring and respectful to the best friend he lost. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.
