Knix is one of the NFL's top quarterbacks, infamous for his playboy ways, while Hope is a dedicated, work-driven doctor. Back in college, they secretly admired each other but never acted on their feelings. Seven years later, a chance reunion sparks a connection neither of them expected.
What begins as a fun night of drinking quickly turns into something more complicated, and suddenly, their lives are intertwined in ways they didn’t foresee. Knix, a single dad, sees this reunion as a shot at a fresh start, an opportunity for love, stability, and to be a better father. Hope, however, is hesitant. Haunted by his past scars, she isn’t sure if she can trust Knix or if he’s truly capable of change.
As they navigate the unexpected turn their lives have taken, they must confront the past and decide if they’re willing to risk their futures. With Christmas around the corner, can the holiday season bring them the miracle they need to find love and happiness?
I enjoyed reading this story. Knix was young, wild, and free, having lots of fun until he received some news that would change his life. Knix and Hope re-connected in an unexpected way, set the tone for how their journey together would lead them. I loved how things progressed for them despite the little drama they faced. Knix stepping up and admitting he wasn't ready to be with Hope all those years ago but was willing to prove himself now, showed just how much he truly loved her. They were definitely meant to be and I'm glad they had a happy ending with a new blessing.
This Christmas standalone is lit. I was happy the two that had crushes on each other in college found each other again. Blessing is a sweet child that everybody loves and adore. I’m glad ur egg carrier who gave up her rights didn’t try to come back in the picture. I would love to get an update with them. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
I love how Knix developed in this story. He started out wild out until he got that one call that changed his “girls, girls, girls” ways. Three years later Knix is living a low-profile life and adjusting to his new team when he encounters a blast from the past. Poor Hope baby girl didn’t know what to do, Knix was hitting hard, and she barely has time to adjust to her new reality. Hope did get on my nervous because she keeps trying to use their current issue has fault for his past, but Knix was not having none of that. This was great short story that I enjoyed.
Another favorite! I loved Knix he was a good man I loved how he stepped up for his baby girl when her egg donor was so ready to hand her over to strangers. I’m glad she didn’t show back up tryna stake claim to baby girl.
Knix and Hope 🫶🏾 I love that Knix knew he couldn’t be the man she needed in college and chose not to persue her but fate brought them back together and they got their HEA 🫶🏾❤️
Loved this story and the way the characters interacted with each other. To find out that Knix shared the same feelings towards Hope while in college I believe is what made them rekindle things allowing the opportunity to grow into a loving beautiful family and the fact that she not only accepted his child she welcomed her sharing the love a mother is supposed to share.
I'm glad whoever leaked the photo the plan backfired on them. You did a clown 🤡 act so you was treated like one. Knix waited a good amount of time to get Hope. He was serious about his love for her. Myself I'm proud he waited to be the man he knew she deserved.
I enjoyed the different take on the Christmas theme. This story was different from our run of the mill Christmas stories and it was a joy reading it. I am so glad Knix got his shit together. There always someone there ready to try and rip away your happy ending!!!!
