This story gets better and better every time I pick up a new book that makes me not wanting the story to end so I take my time reading but it is hard to not keep on reading until it is finished. There is so much more to learn and find out about these immortal children - I can't get enough and I don't want it to end each book gets better and better - IT Lucas you are the best - I love this story series, keep them coming. I can't wait for Book #93. If I am reading another book as soon as I see that your new book has arrived I instantly put the other book aside and start reading yours cause I can't wait to find out what is coming next with The Children Of The Gods.

Dark Rebel’s Mystery, Book 92 of the Children of the Gods series by Isabell Lucas @itlucas_author - You must read this series in order from book 1!

This is book 1 about Kyra, Jasmine’s mom. I thought Max would be her mate & it is looking like it is true! Maybe? There was something I caught about the timeline that is not lining up! I guess we will see! Tropes: Contemporary, Paranormal (Gods/Goddesses/Aliens), MF, Strong FMC & so much more, then you will love this series! That cliffhanger! OMG!

Book 92 honestly left me with more questions than answers.

There was so much to unpack!

The DOOMERS are not the sleeping dummies The Clan thought them to be. They are organized, and this plan of thiers and Nava's is diabolical. Now Kian does know if he has to cut Carol & Logan lose or trust them to come into the Clan. Logan's had 6 years, and his father's army has grown stronger right under his nose. What has he been doing? Can he be trusted?

Can I say I as much as I wasn't a fan of Drova, I am even less a fan of the double standard The Clan has put on this kid.

They wouldn't send their females to battle but didn't blink an eye at sending the Kra-ell and Drova out. Who is looking out for this kid?? She is not ok. You would think someone would suggest she seek therapy. After the debriefing.

Turner and Onegus pissed me off 😤 to no end!
"In the Kra-ell culture, Drova is considered ready for battle."

Yet, while living in the village, you expect them to act like humans. They kill me with the double standards when it suits them. This was not ok.

Max and Kyra, just when I thought I had them figured out, I didn't. Was it just the affinity, or have they met?

"The man's voice was smooth, calm, and strangely familiar, even though she was sure she had never met him".

Will there be a them since his past is
literally next door?

*** Definitely contains Spoilers! ***

Wow love me some immortals and Gods but..Is anyone going to say it, cause I sure can't tolerate it anymore? Navuh is the worst of the worst. And now we actually know for sure after the clan found the child-trafficking ring he and the Doomers run. Pure abominations. Don't care what the clan mothers' sister ( Areana) says, she's definitely an accomplice. Whether its from close or afar, the fact that she knows what Navuh does, what he makes others do ? And she still stays with him and has no intention of leaving him?! Its absolutely disturbing and down right disgusting with these recently found knowledge. The immortal definitely takes after his grandfather the Eternal King. Wish there was a way to send him to Anumati and see how those two interact or probably off each other..

Kian is starting to get the right idea though. End Navuh for good! But the question is how? Navuh never leaves his fortified island. Bombing the island would be catastrophic and resulting in countless innocent lives to perish alongside the guilty monsters. Not only does Areana and Wonder's sister live on that island, but also thousands of abducted humans that are enslaved under Navuh's rule. Could they sacrifice all those lives to end the monster and save the world? Probably wishful thinking 🤔 Anyway, I Can't wait for that monster to be put down for good and good riddance to those who follow him blindly.
Waiting patiently for the next book
Enjoy

Dark Rebel’s Mystery by I.T. Lucas
Children of the Gods book 92

In the last book, we left off with Sissi’s vision of Kyra in the Middle East. This left Jasmine feeling the need to confront her father, who had always told her that her mother was dead.

It begins with a trip to see Jasmine’s father, but what he has to tell her is far off from what she expects. Jasmine gains some clarity about what happened when she was too small to remember.

Next, a team is assembled, including Max, Jasmine, and ELL-Rom, among others, to help find and liberate Kyra if necessary and bring her home.

While this team is being formed and plans are made, Kyra is working with a rebellion group to rescue prisoners held hostage and experimented on by the military. When the team arrives, it seems to be a larger operation than they were counting on, but the mission is a success, and they are returning with more than they planned on.

This book was exciting and fast-moving, with engaging characters and interesting storylines that kept me reading late into the night. And that cliffhanger? I never saw it coming! It was a shocker!

Filler book

This one was just another filler book in between the signature trilogy of a love match books. It didn’t really focus on Rob and Gertrude, but it did seem to give Max a ton of attention, showing that he will be the next to find his fated.

Also, I didn’t like how something would be introduced with a sense of urgency only to have them carry on in a non urgent manner. For example, immediately after saying the situation was urgent, the POV character would spend the rest of the chapter rambling on about it in monologue or even having discussions with people about it’s urgency, but not acting doing anything or taking any steps to act towards it. Then, another chapter starts and you’re thinking progress has been made towards that urgent matter only to find that they are still in the talking about it stage 24-48 hours later, haven’t called or reach out to anyone to make plans, and even that they are thinking about acting a week from now.

UNFORGETABLE

I think we've all been waiting for Max to find his fated mate, but... Dang!
There's a daunting gauntlet between them.

Kyra is new to us, but I like her already. Her badassery is a prime asset to the rebels fighting for freedom from oppression. When the enemy - her traumatizing past personified - captures her, it's only by the seer's vision that brings her hope of escape. From her chains and her ignorance.

When Max arrives, he finds his future and his past and brings them both home.
This will make for an interesting triangle of trouble in the next episode.

I can't wait!

Kyra's story

This was one wild ride for Kyra's first book. There were some side stories along the way but the main story was fast paced and there was quite a bit of action in the second half of the book. The ending let me just say it was just WOW and I did not see that one coming.

One of the things I like about Isabel's books is the fact that she makes references to some major happenings going on at the time of writing these books. It makes it feel more like this is actually happening in our reality and time. Really enjoyed this one and can't wait to see what happens next.

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: Paranormal Romance, Age Gap, Fated Mates, Forced Proximity, Sci-Fi
𝗣𝗢𝗩: Multiple, both the main characters, secondary characters & previous main characters
𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁: Ebook

The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 92st book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having  the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.

This has my favorite book in the series for a very long time. Krya does not remember most of her past, but for the last 20 years in the mountains of Kurdistan fighting to free her people. As much as her life has purpose, she still searches for what she has forgotten before escaping a traumatic asylum. There are so many threads that are weaving together in this series and I can’t wait to see where it goes next!

The plot thickens… again…

To the author: ma’am you’re killing me here but in the best way possible so keep it coming

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

First of all, poor Max. And poor Jasmine. Overall this book brought the action back, though there were some parts that went a bit slow for my taste. I do love the inclusion of the kra-ell in the raid on the compound though; they may not have centuries of training but I feel like they’ve been sidelined for too long.

Can’t wait for the next one!

She did it again!

Lucas is a talented writer, constantly introducing new characters and weaving tales to connect past stories and new together in a fresh manner. I have read all of the books in this series, and I reread the first ones as I waited for new releases. I was wondering if Kyra would be Max's fated mate, but the blast from his past just threw a monkey wrench in an already complex situation and I can't wait for the next book! Start at the beginning and read them all! You will thank me later!

Wow!

I can’t believe I’m almost caught up and I’m grateful that the books keep coming. It remains amazing to me that in addition to the intriguing storyline, I find myself looking things up that are really happening in our own world today. It is horrific to hear about what is being done to people in other countries, and that in general, the world has turned a blind eye to their suffering. It’s also uplifting to read about the heroic Kurdish women who have been fighting for freedom and to save their people. Knowledge is power and I so wish I was immortal🙃🙂

We finally find out what Kyra, Jasmine’s mother, has been doing. She is intrigued by one of the prisoners in the compound. Due to Syssi’s visions they know where she is. A team is sent to pull her out of the territory because they see Kyra is in trouble. The twins’ powers are being tested further. They may be able to help the clan eventually. And will Max finally meet his true love mate? He takes part in Kyra’s rescue and does the mission have a surprise. What will happen next?

Dark Rebel’s Mystery has me Absolutely Obsessed!

Book 92, and I’m still totally in love with this series! The Dark Rebel’s Mystery was everything—fast-paced, action-packed, and completely unputdownable. I devoured it in one sitting! It’s the first book in the series without any spice, but honestly, I was so caught up in the story I didn’t even notice until the end. If you’re a fan, you’re going to adore this one. Already counting down the days until the next book!

Kyra's storyline - AGAIN, I NEED MORE!!!!

I know my girls think I'm crazy for reading 92 books in this series but they never disappoint. The storyline of each character, the chain of events that keep me enthralled enough to NEED to see what happens next is magical. I have been reading every book released for 2 years now and it's written so well that I can see it in my mind. I soooo want Max to find his true love mate and maybe that will happen in the next release.

Max leads a recovery team

After Sissi has another vision, it was decided that Max would lead a team to recover Jasmine’s mom from the middle of a desert area where she is being held and abused and with a lost memory of her past. The recovery efforts come at a high price and they return with more than one immortal. What will max do when his past confronts his future…..

I obviously like this series since I just finished reading book 92 but this is the first time that I have felt compelled to rate or comment any of the previous books. However it just keeps getting better and better.
This latest book is imho by far the best in the series. Quick decisions taken, lots of action and an ending that I doubt anyone could have seen coming. I can't wait for book 93

Frustrating but Rewarding

The redundant narratives are frustrating to wade through. Many chapters drag out a scenario with no rising drama. Reading becomes more laborious than exciting.
Towards the end, when a rescue mission is underway, the narrative becomes more engaging and rewarding.

This was Everything I've been wanting....

I love this series and have been reading since book 1. Honestly the last several books were very slow reads & lacking any intensity. I was so bored, I was about to quit. Thank you Isabelle for finally bringing back the the great story that sucks you in and holds you captive!

Best one yet!

This book has a little bit of everything. Edge of your seat reading experience. Old characters are brought back in the fold as well, like seeing how that cousin is doing after not talking for a while. Can't wait for the next book....

yes yes yes! series is getting back on track

The last few trilogies have been sooo dull. Couples just fawning over each other all the time… yawn. Now we are back with some action. Thank goodness Kian has finally woken up and we will see some action going forward.

Fantastic

It is unbelievable, but book 92 of this series is just as exciting as the books in the beginning. There is a strong similarity to current times. The thought of ancient Gods having devised such a perplexed civilization is really interesting. Can't wait for book 93.
