I thought this book was REALLY FUN! If you're looking for an intricate plot, you won't find it here but honestly, I enjoyed the boy's (cat's) personalities and it's short!

It was a nice idea but I'm sorry to say I didn't like this.
Whilst the plot structure is perfectly good and the points for a good romance/RH are there the writing seemed "green" and forced at times. The style kept going from children's books with fluffy cats to literal porn which made me cringe a bit.
I mean, I do read a lot of spice but this duality was a no no for me.
The tree cats and the respective MMC were cute tho.

Overall: ⭐⭐⭐️
Plot: ⭐⭐
Characters: ⭐⭐
World Building: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Ending: ⭐⭐⭐️

It’s a cute fluffy piece of fiction.

I can only assume the FMC is 19? Maybe 20? Living on her own for the first time away from an over protective father. Whom happens to be more wealthy than Midas.

This is where we meet the sexy neighbors and their adorable but nosy cats. Three men, three cats. You get the idea.

Don’t go into this expecting a life changing experience or some profound thoughts. This is pure entertainment, the joy of a why choose, full of happy thoughts and serotonin.

Soooo I really liked the idea of this book, the characters are sooo cute and funny, but the way it is written is soooo childish, it feels like they are 15yo. When I got to the spicy scenes I was likeee "Is this allowed in this book????????????🤨"

Well, this is definitely the cutest rh I have read in a long time. It was nice to see Lisa make separate connections with each of these men as well as together as a group. It is always important for a why choose novel to see that each of the relationships can stand alone yet all compatible as a whole. Drives me wild when I can't see all the connections of the group, for me that means it would be long lasting and really what is the point of reading their story if you don't believe it's long lasting? It was a cute take on a shifter romance, but something seemed to be missing but could not put into words what that was. Overall, it is an enjoyable read and would be willing to read more from this universe.

*~RECEIVED A FREE ARC FROM BOOKSIRENS FOR AN HONEST REVIEW~* THANK YOU!

Actual Rating: 2.5-3/5

I have one word to describe this entire book…HYPERACTIVE. LOL!

The premise of this story is very cute. Girl moves into a new apartment and suddenly gets visited by three cats. These cats “belong” to three very hot neighbors.

1. Golden retriever-like hyper redhead Chester

2. Stoic, doesn’t say much, homebody Rowan

3. Mystery writer wholesome man Elijah

And the main girl that the three guys fall for is Lisa!

I very much enjoyed the beginning of this book. I loved the whole cats invading her apartment and she starts to get closer with the neighbors because of it. I had hoped the “secret” would have been drawn out a little longer to give an air of mystery and also give time for her relationship with the three guys to gradually develop. The plot twist, to me, just was dropped in our laps and Lisa just accepted it very quickly which felt off to me. There was also not much angst or drama in this book. It’s basically low stakes and lighthearted in terms of romance. The writing and pacing often times felt very jarring with how quick it was going through plot points. Again, a very high energy type book lol. Chester’s character also made that very apparent. He was like a 5 year old who had WAAAAAAY too much cotton candy at the fair. Elijah was just a sweetheart but I personally thought he didn’t get much spotlight. Rowan is my personally favorite guy of the group and apparently in this story as well. I felt he had way more scenes with Lisa compared to the others. I personally found it a little strange he would only talk in emojis? It was definitely a cute book but it borderline on being a bit too corny.

So lovely!!

From chapter two I got the sweetest butterflies. I got a sense of the direction of the storyline and was so keen.

MCs
Lisa
- there’s no ‘I’m not like other girls’, she’s just a girl and she’s normal and it’s so refreshing

Chester
- cheeky, playful, dare I say immature…
- winter with Chester would be 10/10 he’s so cuddly.

Elijah
- Serious, introverted, intelligent,
- He’s inspired me to buy more I door plants

Rowan
- Tough, protective, man of little words
- Under the stars will live rent free in my head, always.

Plot:
This plot was so gorgeous! The romance was paced well with months and weeks passing instead of Insta-love. I love it when authors add time gaps, it creates normality in a story. Not every single moment needs to be captured in words.

So many scenes had me cackling! It’s the sweetest little tale and was a quick read they left me feeling light and in love.

I learnt what a clowder is.

I was frustrated when she discovered a secret. I thought it was the turning point. She’d be angry, but it was immediate acceptance. I feel like a few chapters of grovelling would be well placed here. A change here would have earned five stars.

Smut:
But let me tell you…the smut was smuttin’. God damn. Who knew I was into pussies?

Such a wonderful book! Will absolutely be reading the next ones in the series. So nice from my usual dark romance reads.

There’s not much that I can say except for the fact that I never knew what “why choose” stood for in 🌶🌶🌶 spicy romance, and now I know. And I cannot un-know it. I guess, I got from this book what I expected to get (curiosity check).

The beginning was kind of cute and funny, mostly because of the three cats. 😻 For a book in this genre (romance, I am not entirely versed in smut) and this length, the three shifter characters are quite well written, all of them with their individual personalities. Yes, all of the personalities are kind of cliche (1. Quirky upbeat artist 2. Broody military man 3. Shy inexperienced intellectual), but the author managed to develop them quite easily, which is not often said even about some of the “serious romances” nowadays.

So for that, and the cats (yes, I’m a 🐈 person), and the initial fun I am giving this book three stars. The rest escalated quite quickly and was a bit cringe at times (like the first kiss(es) scene), and I did not care much about it.

Yes, there are tropes, cliches, and cringe moments, yes, it’s written in a simplistic style bordering on the type of style that people question if it is AI or just beginner wattpad writer, but it is nevertheless a fun little book, and if you like shifters, why choose and smut, you will for sure like this.

Oh, and the cover illustration is gorgeous!

If you're looking for a short, simple read that's just light and fluffy with no plot, here's a book to check out.

There's a bit of smut (about 5 in the whole book), but not too much. There's also not much plot, either. It's simply a book about an heiress who wants to live her own life with some needed distance between her and her rich, overprotective father, while she goes to school. While on her own, she gets to know her three neighbours and their cats who always seem to find a way to get into her apartment or follow her around. After a couple of months, they finally confide in her that they do not OWN cats, but rather ARE cats... cat shifters.

She takes this in stride. She doesn't seem to fazed by it, actually. They begin dating, and then they go visit her dad and brother for a long weekend. Things go well, they go home, the end.

This is essentially the entire book. It's short and to the point, I guess. I was pretty excited to read this when I heard it was coming out, but the story itself was just... meh? I love the characters, particularly the men / cats. There's just not a lot of substance here.

Would I recommend it? Ehh... only if someone really needs a palate cleanser or is really wanting to read about cat shifters. I'm disappointed - I really wanted to like it more.

**Review: _Three Meows_ by Cassie Reyes**

_Three Meows_ was definitely a fun and intriguing concept that immediately caught my attention. I enjoyed the read and appreciated the light, whimsical start. The storyline of a woman exploring relationships with three different men (and cats!) was unique and had so much potential. I loved how her bonds with each of them were distinct, making it easy to follow who brought what to her journey.

However, while the premise was strong, the execution fell a bit short for me. It felt like some characters were favored while others weren’t fully fleshed out. One of them, in particular, came across as rather immature, and instead of seeing growth, the characters seemed to lose depth over time. I understand that with a short book (around 150 pages), development can be tricky—but it felt like instead of evolving, the characters regressed.

Some scenes were wonderfully written and emotionally engaging, but others felt unnecessarily stretched. The final scenes with all of them together felt more like a forced plot device than a natural progression. Individually, their dynamics with her were more believable.

Overall, I’d give it 3.25 stars—fun to read, but with more careful character development, it could’ve been great.

🐈I was kindly given an free copy via BookSirens🐈‍⬛

I must say this was such an easy read, and what a lovely read it was. It was fast paced and I found Chester, Rowan and Elijah all wonderful in their own quirky ways. It’s rare for me to find a cat shifter romance and add in the reverse harem I’m so glad I read this as it was fun, spicy and of course sweet. Lisa was a strong fmc and I loved her desire for independence from her father, and her determination to get what she desires. Her taking control of each mc to achieve her desires in the bedroom was lovely too. Elijah was a sweetheart, Rowan was the mysterious but protective one of the bunch and of course Chester was the joker but I must say he grew on me a lot and soon became a favourite.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the read, I’m giving this 4 stars as I do feel like the first few chapters were a bit too fast paced for me and I did get confused during the holiday chapters but I am dyslexic and I know that it might just be something I’ve missed. I still really enjoyed this and will definitely be reading the next one in the series!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book had an interesting premise, but unfortunately, it did not resonate with me. The biggest issue was the inconsistency in tone—while parts of the story felt lighthearted and almost childlike, it would suddenly shift to explicit scenes that felt out of place. This made it difficult to determine the intended audience, leaving the book feeling disjointed rather than cohesive.

Additionally, the execution of the story lacked depth, making it hard to fully engage with the plot and characters. The writing itself showed signs of inexperience, with moments that felt unpolished or underdeveloped. The pacing also contributed to my struggle; while I usually finish books of this length in a day or two, it took me five days to complete, which reflects my difficulty in staying invested.

Overall, while the idea behind the book had potential, the inconsistent tone and lack of strong execution made it a challenging read for me. It left me with mixed feelings, and despite some promising elements, it ultimately wasn’t an enjoyable experience.

Lives next door to cat shifters. Pretty much it.

Plot is a girl moving into her own flats for school then having three neighbors next door who turn out to be cat shifters.

Liked
-Loved how the stereotypical cat's personalities somewhat match the humans.

Disliked
-characters did not exactly stay consistent with their personality the entire book
-The book in general seem to lack a plot

Questions
-was there something behind the cat's names?
-why did the guys have to move out of their flat if the buildings were connected. Wouldn't they have the same landlord
-why did they drive to visit her father? If it's three states away wouldn't it have made more sense to fly?

Final thoughts
I absolutely loved how this story started out. It had the cats going in and out and following her, and then her finding out they're actually shifters. At that point it started to come undone with the story. The plot was being forced to move forward but with no direction. The timeline went move into flat. Cat shifters next door. Three dates. Thanksgiving dinner with Dad. Mile high Club. Back home to the flat. The end

Lisa meets her next-door neighbors when she returns their cat, who keeps sneaking into her balcony. Finding out the three hotties next door actually have three cats, which makes them much more appealing. Befriending each of the three men shows her their unique and caring personalities, and especially their love for their kitties. How could she ever pick between them? Deciding to try her luck at a why choose romance, Lisa approaches the guys, but then makes a discovery that could change everything.

Lisa was in for a surprise, but she absolutely took it in stride. The guys, Chester, Rowan, and Elijah, were all unique characters, with a secret that they desperately wanted to share. I loved the dynamic between Lisa and the cats, as well as Lisa and the boys. Giving these guys a separate identity in their cat forms was cute, especially because they were still all over their girl, no matter their form. This is a short little novella that gives a great look into Lisa's life with her true-love cat shifter boyfriends. It's also deceptively spicy. Individual and group scenes, as well as the Mile-High Club!

Three MeWOWs!

Three Meows is the first book in the Monsters For Her series by new author Cassie Reyes. I loved the creativity here and there was the perfect amount of humor, a little deception, some family friction and a bit of spice. This is a quick and easy read and a great start to what I am sure will be an entertaining series. I loved the cat shifters and their quirky and silly behavior!

Three Meows is book 1 but is a standalone and any of these books can be read in any order. I look forward to another book in this imaginative and mystical series. I will dive into Three Bites, book 2, next!

And, don’t miss the link for a bonus book at the end of Three Meows called Three Dates it is a cute and creative Why Choose, speed dating with the supernatural extravaganza! It seems to be set in this same shifter/magical world and there is plenty of humor, a little tension, and just enough spice. This is a quick read and will give you a taste of the writing style of this new author. She had good imagination and think her books will get better as she grows. I look forward to more!

3.5 rounded up

The first several chapters are like vignettes. They all show a scene of Lisa's early interactions with the guys or the cats. It felt a bit choppy as the chapters just jumped into another scene that was a random amount of time later. However, I liked how it showed her getting to know the guys and her interactions with them as cats.

After she first interacts with all 3 guys, the story flows better. The chapters tend to pick up right after the last, and their relationships develop more.

Overall, it's a cute and cozy shifter story. The guys reveal they are cats pretty soon after their romantic feelings develop. I think I would have liked more about the guys' friendships. They are all so different, and they seem to be different ages. Also, Rowan's past is mostly just assumed by Lisa, with no clarification or mention of his current occupation. Though the blurb says mercenary, it's never actually stated in the book. Is it current or just his last?

I had such a delightful time reading this book! It strikes a perfect balance between cozy and funny, making it an absolute treat. The characters are all incredibly charming, and I genuinely enjoyed every one of them. Their witty and heartfelt dialogues had me laughing out loud multiple times, adding to the overall joy of the story.

The combination of lighthearted humor with shifter romance created a refreshing and unique reading experience. It’s the kind of book that feels like a warm hug, while still managing to keep you entertained with its quirky twists and delightful banter.

If you’re looking for a feel-good romance with lovable characters and plenty of laughs, I’d highly recommend giving Three Meows a try!

Lisa is striving for a new, independent life from her overbearing father at college. Excited to be living on her own, she's thrilled to discover that her new neighbors are three very attractive men, and they have multiple cats. Lisa loves cats, and as she spends more time with them, she discovers some secrets that the men have kept. However, that's not stopping Lisa from pursuing what she wants.

Three Meows is a very cute, very cozy paranormal romance with cat shifters. It is a short, sweet story with very little tension. While I would have liked for the four main characters to spend some time solving some problem together or for at least one of them to experience some character growth, it was still a fun read. A great read if you're short on time and want something sweet and relaxing.

This was an entertaining and quick read, with funny moments and detailed smut scenes. I went into this book looking for a fun short story, and that is exactly what I got.

While I did enjoy reading Three Meows and found the concept and plot entertaining, the writing fell a bit flat for me. There were a few typos here and there and some sentences that didn't quite flow right, but nothing major. The writing felt slightly novice, but this is something I expect will improve throughout the series and certainly wouldn't prevent me from picking up another of this author's books in the future.

If you're looking for an uncomplicated plot, some hot men, and a cheerful light read, Three Meows would be an excellent book for you.

The blurb of this book sounded promising, but I think the result could have so much better than it was.

The idea of three cat shifters living next door and getting to know Lisa was intriguing. They do spend most of the first half in cat form sneaking into her apartment.

The big reveal of the guys and cats being one and the same was a little flat. She sussed it out and then just accepted it, with no prior knowledge of shifters at all.

The whole dad keeping an eye on her was just weird, and didn't feel like it was even needed as part of the plot. Then its just dropped and never mentioned again. And it wasn't explained if he even knew the guys were shifters.

The book isn't long, so the story is fast paced and doesn't get too deep into the plot. Its hard to write short RH, and I think this story wold have benefitted from being longer.

I found this book fun, cute and of course a little spice!!! Perfect for those who don't want a very long reading but that will guarantee you a great reading time! The author did a great job writing this book and was able to differentiate each personality from the mmc's, showing their differences that further complete our fmc. I had fun reading this book, I let out some smiles without a doubt!
I give 3 stars because I felt the first chapters rushed and I thought the characters could be maybe a little deeper, but anyway I ended up liking the book and having a good time reading it.
I feel very curious about the author's next book and I will most likely take a look at it when it comes out🤭

Thoughts:

My second ARC and first from BookSirens! I received an advanced readers copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book is beyond adorable and left me wanting more. Beyond happy I got to read this. The MMCs are cute and each are attractive in their own ways.

This is the type of book I want to read with a warm cup of coffee or tea when it’s snowing or raining outside. While there is some small betrayal in the book, it left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Just wish there was an epilogue.

There are a few spelling and grammatical errors in the book, but not enough that it really mattered. I was able to easily figure out what the author meant.

This is a sweetest, coziest little read filled with nuzzles and nose boops. The three men balanced each other out and the FMC felt so real. Why not let yourself have all three ammiright? This book had me giddy and kicking my feet and then it turned up the heat. I enjoyed the pacing, even if fast, it still felt good. I feel like I would have liked to know a little more about their pasts and their shifting powers, if there had been a little more details about the magic or any of their history it could have been a 5 star book. Over all, I really enjoyed this little adventure and I’ll be checking out more books by this author!

A quick fun read with a nice dose of steam

The author has done a decent job balancing the group dynamics. The types of relationships are quite trope-y, but there is nothing wrong with that, as it often gives a reader joy and comfort to know what to expect.
I did find the FMC’s father a very flip-floppy character. He seemed inconsistent, and as a reader, you really couldn’t guess how he would react to anything from his past behaviour - you had to be guided by the FMCs predictions, and they weren’t necessarily what you’d expect. There were a few editorial issues, but as a quick, fun read it was quite enjoyable.

Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.

This book was so cute. I feel like it perfectly encapsulates the word romp. Each of the MMC have distinct personalities but there is no conflict or jealousy between them. The FMC is sweet and considerate with each of them while still having a good sense of humor. I wasn't sure if it would be weird going from some very dirty smut straight into cat behavior but the author did a good job with the tone. I really enjoyed the tone of the writing but I think this will become dated pretty quickly based on some of the phrases used and texting with emojiis and gifs only. Overall, this was a fun, light romp with no real conflict or 3rd act breakup, just sweet getting to know yous and smut. Rowan's teasing had me blushing for sure.

I did not expect to enjoy this so book so much and I am so pleasantly surprised!
Our 3 MMCs are sooo cute and funny and (I'm not going to lie, very hot) and they are soooo sweet to their FMC! The sex scenes are amazing and I'm immediately starting other Cassie Reyes' books because I need more ;) !
The only (small) issue for me was the lack of conflict ? Like she realizes they're all cat-shifts (and other plot revelations), why are we not getting more of a reaction from her ? The instant acceptance was a bit of a surprise to me, as I was looking forward to some drama. But overall I loooooooved this book !

This book was really good! As expected it wasn't very long but it still delivered much more than I thought it would. It was funny, cute and low-angst. And I must say the author is really good with portraying the different personalities of the characters as well as building their relationship in an organic way. Really, I have read books who had the multiple amount of pages and still didn't manage half as well, making their characters distinguishable or creating the chemistry the characters in this book had. If you want a short, fun, cute and relaxed read, this is it!
I only deducted one star because I feel the MMCs could have used some more background to their personal histories, but otherwise this story delivered everything I expected and more!
