A "coloring novella", this was not as interesting to me as Tacoma's other Key Weird series books. However, if you are accustom to his writing style and character types, it was enjoyable as a quick-read that required little thought. Short length led to limited character development, but that's to be expected. Overall, I'm glad I read it since I had been meaning to finish reading his books, but definitely not my favorite. Perhaps this is because it didn't really go into too much detail about the city of Key West itself, which is what I had enjoyed from the other books. The "coloring" concept of the book was somewhat lost to me as an option (although I do love coloring!) since I read it on the Kindle.
