Lost Town #4

Beginnings

Rate this book
Cause and effect are a universal truth.

Most of Carmichael’s population made it home, but not everyone wants to return. Both parties must start again, and life as they knew it has changed forever.

Caesar and Ameila are recruited by Harrison to bridge the gap between Arcadia and Earth, while Anders is hired to rescue John and Lillian from whatever distant planet they now occupy.

The journey begins at Wayward, the renamed town that Milton had once tyrannized. Milton may be a distant threat, but Duffy, wounded and outraged, still lurks in the shadows.

Beginnings is the riveting book four of the LOST TOWN blending genres of suspense, science fiction, and adventure. From the best-selling author of The Other Place, Lost Contact, and First Life.

Lost Town Series book 4

Nathan Hystad is on a roll with his latest book, “Beginnings” (Lost Town Series. Book 4). Harrison sends a retired agent to rescue Summer & Carly after the Carmichael transplants’ earth locations are compromised, as well as all the others who shifted back to earth. Who is holding them and for what reason? A nosey reporter becomes involved with tracking former citizens of Carmichael, but at what cost of damage will occur to all?

Meanwhile, Logan is working on a big shift of 2 square miles that should take them back to Arcadia. Will they make it or get shifted directly to Lithos, the 3rd planet? I could not stop reading this book once I started. If you have not read the series yet for. ok 1, I urge you to do that, because there is a lot going on behind the scenes you really don’t want to miss.

Nathan Hystad holds your attention. It’s a fast-paced read. I really don’t know how he keeps it all straight. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

The series "Lost Town" is vastly different to other current science fiction story arcs. Transrealism, science fiction and technothriller all in one. "Beginnings" is the continuation of an uncanny story of a small town transported to another planet. The characters are well defined and vary in their motivations. The settings are beautifully described and the timing (that is very, very important) is impeccable. As with the previous books in the series, each book is meticulously written. Keeps the reader entranced and on the edge of their seats through the pivots, twists and unexpected surprises. Definitely an absorbing page turner.

A must read if you want to go from our present time to somewhere far away and very odd.

new beginnings

From Arcadia to Earth and back. There’s peace on Arcadia with Milton gone. Christine is somewhere on Earth but Harrison is in charge of The Shift. Lillian is trapped on another planet with the trader Noah but if it weren’t for John and Pastor Odell, no one would care that Lillian is stuck there. But just as everyone from Earth that wanted to go back to Lost Town shifted back, a few somehow ended up on Lithos, the Alien planet. But if that happened to them, what about the aliens?

❤️❤️Excellent sequel!!

The military vehicle shuddered as the alien ship flew past and moved away.

Inside the truck, the fugitives were searching for their way...

Excellent, spectacular volume 4 with many answers to past events.

The reading is gripping, the characters are captivating, the events are often unexpected, and the ending is even more captivating!

I think this is my favorite volume of this incredible series.

Between portal trouble, danger, and following everyone around to see what is happening to my favorites, I was entertained and had fun watching it all play out. Some action, drama and the characters up to their usual tricks, I had a blast. Loved the mix of it all. And had to see where everyone would end up by the end and what trouble they would find too.

Another fantastic instalment in this series.

Such a unique take on moving between planets.

So many characters I've come to enjoy from the start.

I look forward to the next edition.
