The Test

Rate this book
Iridian Highdane is anything but her Citizen Number. Scraping together coins, connections, and nifty fifties, she has maintained her so-called ‘freedom’ for years. But following her seventh Test, a stroke of witless judgment and a cascade of secrets come to threaten Etherdyn’s Elite.

These revelations also endanger Iridian’s safety—and, more importantly, access to her forbidden kayak.

Determined to uncover the truths beneath the Test Officiators’ smiles, Iridian agrees to an ambiguous deal that sets her on a journey where every answer raises new questions. Along the way, she makes unexpected connections and faces unprecedented challenges, pushed by a pantherine President to the very edges of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ in a relentless pursuit to expose, and overcome, the hidden realities of her world.

With its evocative prose and exploration of liberty and justice, The Test weaves the intensity of dystopian storytelling with themes of defiance, integrity, and the complications of trust. Perfect for fans of thought-provoking dystopias, this novel offers a riveting journey for both young adult and adult readers.

I loved this book. Totally did not expect the ending and I am an avid reader so I typically figure out what's going to happen. Originally published as The Test and now renamed Unveiling Etherdyn, which makes it more easily searchable. I have recommended this beautifully written book to many people but The Test is also name of several other books. I love the character development and the storytelling of this book. I felt as though I was in the story along with the characters. Read this and get your adrenaline pumping!

Unveiling Etherdyn was such a nifty read! The quirky lovable characters, the beautiful world building, the original storytelling, the catchy sayings, the dystopian lore sprinkled in, the moments of tension and suspense, all come together to create such a fun and gripping read. The friendships and bonds created in the book make you feel like you are tagging along for an adventure. I had my fair share of laughs and tears along these pages, and would highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a smooth read that sets some mind fireworks off.
