Petite Fleur is a rewrite of Scar, so get ready for the same plot, only better! Get ready for more spice, gore, and deranged characters that make it impossible not to love them.
This book is like watching a car accident. You want to stop looking, but somehow you also want to know how it ends.
I regret nothing, but I am amazed by how many icks this book unlocked for me. Grown women using "butthead" repeatedly as an insult? Ick. The nickname "ma fleur"? Ick. Picky eaters? Ick. Fratboy rapists named Mark and Chad? Ick.
This book is wild, and not in a good way. This is what I get for getting into deep in my Dark romance Facebook group. I never learn.
Check trigger warning page. This book deals with a lot of dark material. It is not for the faint of heart. Only those who enjoy the darkness and pure chaos will dive right in with no remorse or second thought.
This books is dark and twisted. You can check the trigger warnings but this whole book is one.
I haven’t been this obsessed with a book in years. The characters are glorious and to have EVERY SINGLE PART wrapped up and answered filled me with joy! I didn’t have to sit there and be annoyed that a character never got mentioned again or that an issue didn’t get resolved. This book was perfection from every page, to every word written. I cannot wait for the sequel. Both characters were brilliantly written. I wish and hope the author will create a world of beautiful psychos. I find it incredibly hard to give a book a full 5 stars and have zero complaints. But this book is a masterpiece. A true work of art. It will go down in my top 5 favourite books I’ve ever read. It’s the beginning of 2025 and I know this will remain my favourite read of the year. I’m so incredibly sad that it’s over. I found myself re reading scenes just to prolong the ending. I didn’t want the world I was immersed into to end. It was filled with depravity, and it feeds every masochistic feeling in your dark little soul. If you love morally black Kent that have no remorse except for upsetting the very thing that keeps them tethered to this earth then this book is for you. To be morally corrupt but to be obsessed with the only thing he deems worth living and breathing. Even in the book he says that he would bury her under a tree catering to her love for botany and the world. Then he would blow his brains out so they could rot together while giving the tree the nutrients from their bodies. UGH I CANT EVEN EXPRESS HOW OBSESSED I AM WITH THIS BOOK. I have given myself unrealistic expectations for my future husband haha. The characters were beautiful and well rounded. To make them feel almost real. As if I could travel somewhere and meet them. I would love to have a second book that caters to their life as they are older and their kids are grown. The final scene with the bar and asking for another baby was such a perfect way to wrap up the story. It was comical while still being dark. It had elements of pure delicate love with the contrast of horror. This author was able to create a beautiful balance and give such an astonishing story. I am going to buy a physical copy because this will now go in my comfort re read section.
Storyline ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 (I’d give it a 10000/10 if I could) Spice 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥/5 Overall recommendation: 📖📖📖📖📖/5
I will be recommending this to anyone who love and needs this type of novel in their life. I’ll be recommending it to those who don’t know they need it in their life. It’s books like this that changed my life 5 years ago. In the 5 years that I have been reading thriller/horror/ morally black dark romance/ smut. I have only found 2-3 authors that have truly captured my soul like this book did. It’s such a pleasure to stumble across an unexpected book that will become apart of you. This book was everything I could have asked for and more.
Please enjoy 🖤 I hope you love this book as much as I did 🖤
However, I felt like Leon had the potential to be wayyy darker. Yes, this man was obsessed and did some horrible things to Maeve, but I still think it could’ve been taken up a notch 😭.
It’s like an itch that was mildly scratched but is still bothersome.
There’s some questions I still have about Maeve too. Ultimately, what happened to the mom???? Like we get it, you’re a shitty mom, but not even a call to your daughter??
It’s a very dark romance and the way it’s very much SA that occurs between the two, I’d consider reading the TWs or at least being aware of this.
Overall that read was okay and I’d still recommend this to someone in the looks for a dark, dark romance.
No because this book was EVERYTHING. I thought I’d read it all and then this pretty little thing came into my life. I have never read something so psychotic in my entire life. It was laugh out loud funny while simultaneously having my jaw on the floor the entire time. There was only one small thing I didn’t like about it but what I hoped would happen did. Leon and Maeve are the definition of bat shit crazy. 10/10 would recommend this one, but only to those who think they can handle it. The trigger warnings were there but sparse. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m sad it’s over.
This book was alright. It had moments that I really liked but overall I thought it could have had more depth to the characters. It is clearly obvious that Maeve has a food allergy or intolerance not just a fussy diet so for Leon to not pick up on that or even ask when it comes to food especially when he kidnaps the woman and doesn't give her the choice to get her own food. That was a major mistake on his part. I like that she doesn't tell him right away that the gate is not set so when she does tell him he knows that when she says she wants to stay he has faith in that.
This book came as a recommendation through my Kindle app and had few ratings, so I thought I would give it a try. The concept was interesting, but it could have used a few more proofreads before being published. However, I still enjoyed reading it and the journey the characters took me on.
