"You've a lot to learn, Alexa, such a lot. You're a sensualist, that's obvious. Your responses are amazing . . . but you need educating. Opening up. Sex is much more than simply fucking your boyfriend on a regular basis. Or fucking mine for that matter." She laughed richly. "Sex is a state of mind. A way of life. So much more than just penis and vagina. Cock and quim. Prick and cunt. It's beyond gender, even. Do you understand what I mean?"Alexa was shocked by the raw language, but she did understand. Even as she'd listened it had all seemed so clear. A month ago, she would have thought Beatrice's pronouncements gratuitously obscene -- but now she could feel wisdom at work. There was a new world -- worlds! -- of sex waiting for her, but her voyage of discovery was already well under way. She'd begun the second stage on the doorstep of this house . . .

I live in the heart of West Yorkshire, UK, with my husband and my cats. When I'm not writing I enjoy reading, watching TV and movies, hanging out on Twitter and Facebook, and online life in general. I was formerly a librarian and have also worked in local government.
Yeah this for me was terrible there are no other words I can use to describe this . The plot was ridiculous and thin. The characters were dull and forgettable. The whole thing seemed a bit forced. I've read some of her other work and this is no where near her normal standard of writing.
I would have liked to explore Alexa's new psychic gift more. I never did figure out what or why Drew owed Beatrice or what she owed Sacha.
This book had some very erotic sex play and a lot of very good sexual teasing. I'm not into pain, but this book took me right up to my limit and maybe across it a little.
Different cover on mine. Da Costa is one of the better erotic writers out there, I think, and this is another example. Even when the story line is sometimes lame, she manages to give depth to her characters.
