Breathe

Rate this book

When her husband and child are killed in a devastating car crash, Danielle Ross finds it impossible to breathe. Every waking moment is filled with painful memories, and sleep brings nightmares that make her fear she is going crazy with grief.

But Dani knows one thing for sure: she needs to let go of her past if she ever wants to have a future, as much as her heart aches to hold on to a life that no longer exists.

Dani’s determination brings her from California to her birthplace of Israel, where she fulfills a family tradition by joining the Mossad—the Israeli Secret Service. Through training for dangerous missions, she hopes to leave her old life behind and become someone else entirely.

But after four years of intensive training and four months of waiting to be called on a mission, Dani sees the visions and voices return. Fearing for her sanity, she leaves her obligations behind, flies halfway around the world, and attempts to meet the one man who she is sure will bring her closure.

Little does she know that this journey will bring her to unexpected places, forcing her to face emotions she never expected to feel again.

Known as Inbal to her family and friends, Annabelle Wolf is an Israeli-born fashion designer turned writer. While her professional background is in fashion design, she has engaged in many different forms of art - including interior design, jewelry design, and more recently, writing. I really like this book. The h is quite different, she's a Mossad agent and has a tragic past. This book ends in a cliffhanger and I am looking forward for the next one, Exhale. When is it coming out?

As beautiful inside as the cover is outside.

Danielle has lost her two loves. Her world is no longer complete. With a tremendous hole in her heart, Dani returns home to the support, and love of her family. Finding no comfort of body or mind Danelle must find some solace. She visits her Uncle Amos with the hope that he will allow her to continue in the familys footsteps and become a secret operative. Maybe pretending to be someone other than herself, will help heal her heart.

Danelles travels take from one mans arms to another. From California to Israel, Canada to Rome, to Barcelona...when will the pain of loss ease, and the healing begin.

Yes....Breathe...I found myself breathing with Dani. Through her heartache, and beyond I felt like I was standing next to her all the way. A magnificent story. I can't put it out of eyesight, I will have it close until the next is in my hands.
Annebelle...the copy was beautiful, along with the lovely personal touches. You are truly blessed in your writing. I thank you for allowing me the pleasure of reading your book. 5/5

i always give credit to authors who publish their own works. writing a book is not easy and takes commitment. so kudos to mrs. wolf. this was on special when i purchased it and i wasn't sure at first if this was going to be a love story or a wannabe spy thriller story. it ended up being a hybrid of sorts. reading the book was pleasant...it was easy, light and airy. it is like the Wonder Bread of books. not every novel one reads needs to be serious and this one isn't; rather, it's a good summer read that can be inhaled in a day or two. i found that some descriptions were repetitive which could have been edited better. it's soap opera of sorts; not a book that leaves you thinking about it. also, there are some parts that are a bit unreal and 'textbook'. even with some of the less than realistic parts, if you're looking for some light/trashy vacation/summer reading...this will do just fine!

i saw all the stars people were giving it. and although 2 stars may seem harsh it's not intended do be. 2 stars means it was okay. and that's what breathe was. wishing the author success as she continues to write her second book, exhale.

Really enjoyed this one, the story took a few different twists & turns that kept me interested. Although I loved Troy, Russell stole my heart too. I can't wait to read book 2 to see where the story goes!
