As a die-hard paranormal romance fan since Twilight, I can never resist a good vampire love story—and this one delivered. It had me grinning, completely hooked, and shamelessly ignoring real-life responsibilities (including sleep) just to get another chapter in. The characters were genuinely likable, the romance was the perfect balance of steamy yet sophisticated with its ‘closed door’ approach, and the action-packed moral dilemmas kept me on edge. The intrigue is addictive, and now I’m desperate for book two. If you love vampires done right, don’t skip this one.

I’m marking it as spoilers just in case I accidentally say something the wrong way. This is not my usual genre, the vampires yes, the small town romance aspect is not usually an attention grabber for me. This book was wonderfully written with a fast-paced, well thought out plot. The banter and wit between the two main characters was a wonderful thing to behold. I hope there will be more in the future to read about with these two!!

Moonlight and Magnolia's is a lovely start to what will surely be an enjoyable series. The romance is fairly exciting, the FMC is compelling and likable, MMC is not super overbearing or excessively anything, the universe has a slightly different take on vampires that feels more organic in some ways. Overall, the book has a nice pace, the characters are developed but not overworked, and there is a decent plotline (with some holes IMO). I am usually an epic fantasy reader but I met Jessica at a book fair and I was very taken by her beautiful table display. The artwork on the book itself is equally lovely. I will say, I'm glad that I purchased her book. It was a nice change of pace from my usual choice of genre. If you like vampires this is definitely worth the read. I appreciate that sex is part of the story, but I wouldn't even say it's a main part of the story (nothing crazy descriptive but they are adults so it's a part of life); nice change given all the smut these days. Jessica's book felt like a nice easy beach read and I will be recommending it to friends.
