In the 1990s, Galloway Cabin – also known as Gore Cabin – nestled deep in the heart of Felixworth Woods in the south of England, was once home to one of the most evil serial killers who ever lived.
James Buttery – dubbed The Felixworth Flesher by the papers, because he liked to flay his victims – has been dead for nearly ten years, and Gore Cabin has stood empty for over twenty years.
Until now.
Galloway Cabin has been bought, renovated and is now a holiday let. Six college friends have rented the cabin for the weekend.
Gore Cabin will certainly live up to its name. Once again, it will return to its former, blood-soaked glory and the screams of agony will echo throughout Felixworth Woods...
This is an extreme horror novella. Reader discretion is advised.
**Includes the previously banned short story, Slug Life**
But she didn’t know what pain was, up until this point. She had no idea of its true meaning, of the real face it wore. And she was about to find out.
A cabin located deep in the woods is home to a rather unknown serial killer, the Felixworth Flesher, who lures woman back to his home to peel the skin from their faces to hips to wear over his own. Taken while still alive, his victims feel every slice, year and pull before eventually succumbing to blood loss and shock. For years it remained hidden by the locals desperate to keep this under wraps, all the while some evil force continues to prey on those who enter the woods. Seth Barbee and Mike Greeves were men heavily involved in the reapplication of these twisted murders, as each would take their fair share of victims after the other. For Mike, he would turn his hatred of six college students; Fred, Emily, Adrian, Simon, Debbie and Claire, as well as his lifetime friend Steve. Using the keys supplied to him from the cabin owner, he lets himself through the locked backdoor and immediately pounces of the couple engrossed in one another. Murdering Fred and Emily, he would eventually skin her face and wear it as a macrabre mask when he confronted the living teenagers. Watching Debbie shamelessly flirt with Simon and then Mike, Claire has had enough before the party could even get started. When he knocked on their door, they never expected the demon they allowed inside until he roofied the whiskey he gave them.
“I’m going to peel it all off. All of it. I’m going to start with your pretty face and work downwards. I’ll try to do it in one piece, but obviously that will be tricky. You’re quite flat-chested – that makes it a little easier. The same goes for you being slim. It’s less skin to play with, but, in the same breath, that means less blubber underneath it, you know? It makes for a cleaner cut.”
Waking up in pain and disoriented, Claire is greeted with a nightmare sight of the beheaded Adrian and Mike having intercourse with the bloody stump that once was his neck. Watching as Debbie leaped to her feet and ran, her and Simon tried to work together to untie and save themselves even though they knew deep down their friend was going to die, and die horribly. Hearing the chainsaw firing up, they could only imagine the horrors as he murdered Debbie after she had fallen with it. As they worked together to cut the electrical ties from their wrists, he would reemeve wearing Emily's face and set Simon off. Using his sister's skin, he would tackle Mike and end up severely gutted before Claire could land a fatal swing with the axe. In a cruel twist, Mike would land a slice to her jugular and all three would die within minutes of the other. With the deaths discovered two days later by a cleaner, the secrets that cabin houses are becoming harder and harder to hide.
The Big Bad was the evil that lived in the woods – these very woods they were standing in – and if you spent too much time around it, then the Big Bad might just send you crazy.
Two Nights at Gore Cabin follows a group of six college friends who spend the weekend at Galloway Cabin. In the 1990s, this cabin was home to one of the most evil serial killers who ever lived and became known as the Gore Cabin. But nothing has happened in the past ten years. The group staying there is about to find out if the cabin really lives up to its name.
I thought this was a great read for spooky season. The book started off wild. But it kind of lost steam throughout. I think because this book was so short, it felt kind of rushed. I didn’t really learn enough about the characters to really care what happened. It did keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time. But I also just wanted more. But I would suggest this one if you are looking for a fast-paced short horror book.
This was okay but nothing to really shout out about it was a quick little novella about a group of kids in a cabin you can guess the rest this kind of story has been done so many times so it didn’t stand out for me I did enjoy the little extra story at the end it was a little bonus story and I preferred that I would t recommend this really it is what it is
One of the worst edited books I've ever read. One of the main characters name is spelled in 2 different ways, multiple times. Almost every page it's either Adrian or Adrain. No idea which it was supposed to be. It was very jarring. The author even gets the title of their own book wrong in the foreward. The story itself is okay. Basic slasher stuff. Would've rated higher if edited properly.
Two nights at Gore Cabin is a dark, horror novella by Sam West and this one was gory! This short story is about what happens when some friends go and stay in a creepy cabin made famous by a serial killer. This was gory and fun read.
Pros: Well written in terms of readability. It was short. Cons: The plot has been done god only knows how many times. There is nothing original about it.
