When Zara Thompson throws herself a divorce party to celebrate her freedom from her unfaithful husband, she expects it to be the beginning of her new life. What she doesn't expect is for Marcus, her soon-to-be ex-husband, to crash the party with revelations that threaten to shatter everything she thought she knew.
In one explosive night, Zara's carefully planned celebration spirals into chaos. A suspicious photo, a drunk therapist, an outspoken exotic dancer, and a series of shocking truths force her to question six months of certainty. As secrets come to light about Marcus's true actions and sacrifices for her family, Zara must decide if she's willing to risk her heart one more time.
Set against the backdrop of a party meant to end a marriage, this emotional rollercoaster of a story is perfect for readers who believe in the transformative power of love and the beauty of second chances. This short, sweet, impactful urban romance proves that sometimes the best love stories start with goodbye.
I get it! Cheating is a deal breaker for many married folks. But can we make sure that there is cheating going on, before we file for divorce? 👀 Zara really upset me with making the irrational decision to divorce her husband, with no concrete proof. Especially when the information is coming from an outside source, and you didn't even give your husband the benefit of the doubt. She was just so certain that she was right, that she would not hear anything else. 😤
Her deal wasn't really with Marcus, it was trauma she suffered from her parents' dysfunctional marriage that had her head all messed up. When all the details came to light, it did sound a bit outlandish, but stranger ish has happened. Not sure that Zara deserved any grace after she showed all the way out, but okay. 🤷🏿♀️
This one was short and full of drama. It was a bit unbelievable, how did they not even have a conversation in the 6 months after she filled for divorce? like who doesn't talk to their husband at all before filling for divorce? What are they teenagers lol
Now this was good! Love, friendship, betrayal, and all the feelings! I loved how detailed the author was in this short book! The emphasis was on and the majority of the book was about the party and all the things that unfolded!
Emotional roller coaster, a good romance story with just the right amount of spice! I’m not sure if I believe the MMC, but you’ll have to read to see for yourself.
Zara took me through the emotions of failing marriage. I’m so glad the truth came out about Marcus cheating fiasco. If she had listened to her friend Imani she’d still be single. 🥴
Sometimes you have to almost lose something to realize how precious it is.
It reminds me to always follow your heart, regardless of the people around you. Yeah, you may make the mistake but how will you know if you don’t follow your heart.
I been stuck in a chokehold with psychological thrillers and horrors for months, so forgive me for waiting for someone to end up missing, beat down or dead SMH. I was rooting for the divorce, LOL! I loved the support Zara got from her friends. Romance is not typically my go to, but this was enjoyable, short and sweet, with a tad bit of messy. I will definitely be reading more from Daisy Savage.
I absolutely loved this audiobook production of Divorce Party. This audiobook was literally like listening to a TV show, but without seeing the people on the screen. I loved how they included sound effects, music tracks, different voices to distinguish characters, and the cadence of talking on the phone. ( All one narrator). Such a cool concept, and I wish more audiobooks were like this. This is a short, quick read and listen, and I was able to get through it while doing some work. I saw someone recommend this book in a Facebook group that I’m in, and I’m glad I downloaded it. Zara is our FMC, and she is celebrating her divorce from her husband, who she thought was 100% down for her. She perceives him to be a cheater when his mistress reaches out to her, but everything is not as it seems. This book was entertaining, and the cast was amazing. Overall, it’s a lesson in how sometimes our past and the trauma we’ve faced can cloud our judgment. I will say that it seems like Marcus could’ve done more to fight for her when everything came out at first. It’s a fast-paced novella that teaches us to let go of the past and trust our gut. Oh, and this book is spicy, and audio just levels it up. 😈
This one had me entertained from the jump, even when I was side-eyeing a few of the choices being made. The concept of a divorce party turning into a night of revelations, mess, and emotional whiplash was fun and chaotic in a way that kept me reading straight through. I liked how everything unfolded in basically one intense night.
Zara frustrated me at times. Her reactions felt impulsive and emotionally driven, which honestly tracks for someone carrying unresolved baggage and old wounds. Marcus wasn’t perfect either, but once the truth started coming out, the story shifted in a way that made me pause and rethink where I landed on both of them. It felt very human...flawed people making imperfect decisions under pressure.
There was drama, emotional tension, a bit of spice, and a resolution that wrapped things up without dragging. Some moments stretched believability, but I was still invested enough to roll with it and enjoy the ride.
This book was a short, quick, and highly entertaining read that I believe would shine even more as an e-book or audiobook. Personally, I prefer audiobooks, and the performance by JR Mason was fantastic—it truly brought the story to life. The drama, the secrets, the lies, and the deception were all woven together seamlessly, creating a captivating narrative in such a short amount of time. I can only imagine how compelling a full-length novel from this author would be. This was my first experience with their work, and it certainly won't be my last.
I really enjoyed this story and found myself wishing it had been longer because I was so invested in the characters and the overall storyline. Zara’s decision at the end was especially satisfying and felt true to her growth throughout the story. The Divorce Party was another highlight—it was surprisingly eventful and added a fun, memorable layer that kept things entertaining. Overall, this was an enjoyable read that left me wanting more.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…..Hurt people, hurt people. Zara had childhood trauma after seeing her dad cheating on her mom for years and the pain that she saw her mom going through. For her to be an attorney, her trauma didn’t allow her to really investigate. I like the fact that Marcus was in counseling to deal with being falsely accused and their impending divorce. That epilogue should’ve had something in there about Zara being in counseling as well.
But this one was really cute with some humorous moments and spice thrown in. This poor woman just trying to celebrate divorcing her philandering man and everything that could possibly go wrong does. But I suspect a lot of women with love for their divorce to go like this. So I'm not mad, and would read more from this author.
I absolutely enjoyed Divorce Party by Daisy Savage. Zara Thompson is divorcing Marcus, the love of her life, after learning of his unfaithfulness. Although she’s on an emotional roller coaster she makes preparations for her divorce party to celebrate her new life. This fast-paced novella will keep you on the edge of your seat with shocking drama, hilarious banter, and unforgettable characters.
Predictable but still satisfying this story turns a celebration of freedom into an unexpected reckoning of the heart. One chaotic night unravels assumptions, pride and buried sacrifices. Marcus comes back swinging with truth and vulnerability. A botched divorce party that proves some endings are just disguised beginnings.

Very easy read. It got straight to the point. I didn't like Imani, AT ALL‼️I always try to figure a story out and thought this story was gonna end with "the usual" ending. However, I was wrong, but pleased. 🤗
Originality at its best. It's such a cool concept. Never read anything like it before, so it was a definite page turner. My one wish is that it was longer.
This book was so cute from the beginning to the end. She really thought something happened that really didn't happen but in the end, she got her love back and they realizes they should never let nobody come between them.
Definitely don’t let a 🥷🏽 play in your face! BUT imma need to be sure before I blow up my happy life! Zara sprinted out of her marriage and now she’s sad and wrong. Got to fix it cause we all want an HEA. Daisy Savage was a NTMA, I’ll read more.
So, it was cute, very quick, short read.. I feel like the idea was executed well and I think the story was very well written for the few pages.. predictable but cute
This was a good listen JR mason did a great job performing the characters and the story had my attention. Would you throw a divorce party? Sounds fun!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
