This book is one of the best things that happened in my life. It is an excellent read. I am so glad it was a required reading for my English literature class in high school. In it are poems by the greats and legends of African literature. Kwesi Brew, Leopold Senghor, Wole Soyinka, JP Clark, Gabriel Okara, Christopher Okigbo, Abioseh Nicol, Kofi Awoonor, who unfortunately was killed in a dastardly act of cowardice and terrorism at West gate mall in Nairobi, Kenya yesterday. A big loss to us all.
Every African is encouraged to read this excellent book Only yesterday a friend and I reminisced over this treasure.
