Over six-and-a-half feet tall, with a bushy beard, Philip Ardagh is not only very big but also very hairy. He is the author of the Eddie Dickens Trilogy and when not writing silly books, Mr. Ardagh is quite serious and frowns a great deal. He lives in a seaside town somewhere in England with his wife and their son, Fred.

Compared to the last "Further Adventure..." I loved this one much more. The humor was spot on, but unlike the last one, it never felt intrusive or "too much." This book is a perfect example of why Ardagh is such a fun author to read.

Outside of that, most of what I've said about the books in the past works here: it's fun, it's a quick read, the art is fantastic, and did I mention the fun?

Another Rip-roaring riot from Ardargh. I giggled, I snorted and was delighted to discover that the author calls Mad Uncle Jack "Mudge" too. Perfectly wonderful silliness for children of ages 7 -99.

In Eddie Dickens' fifth adventure he loses his memory (luckily or sadly?), finds a baby, lives with monks and could there even be more crazy members of the family somewhere out there?[return]As always, Ardagh's style wins me over. His books are just all funny and over way too quickly.

One of my favorites of this amazing series, many new and lovable characters are introduced and all the usual ones are as mad as ever^^ Good fun is the truest I can say about any book of this series, Ardagh is just too good at writing this amazing nonsense

Probably my favourite of the Further Adventures. Eddie loosing his memory, meeting Eddie's lookalike.. It was fun.
