Dan Memoirs of a Hall of Fame Coach is the autobiography of the former University of Missouri and Notre Dame head football coach. As head coach at Arizona State, Devine accumulated a 27-3-1 record. From 1958-1970, he guided Missouri to a 93-37-7 mark. Devine also served as the head coach and Green Bay Packers. It was only interesting to get a sense of his career. A gifted college coach...but was only so-so in Green Bay. Went on to great success at Notre Dame.

But the book includes way too much about each significant football game. Who cares? And precious little about the effect of moves on his family, interpersonal dynamics on the teams, etc.
