This was an awesome world that I found myself happily residing in. Jackson and Ella were such a strong and perfect match. I loved the strain of love and passion that ran through the book and just tied all the characters together. Everyone of course had their ups and downs but they formed a found family that was strong enough to fight the battle that came for them. Can’t wait for the next book.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was my first book by the author and did not disappoint!

It’s a very action packed werewolf story with lots of interesting characters that you can’t help but cheer for.

Very plot driven but good humour and connection between main and supporting characters!

I look forward to reading the next book in the series and would recommend this book to anyone that likes werewolf stories!

2.5 ⭐️ This might be more of a me issue than the author issue. I appreciate being give the opportunity to review the book, and I appreciate the author for putting herself out there. It had a good premise. Two bother’s pining after the same girl was pretty cool. The world building was decent, but I’m so tired of the cliches like Amethyst and purple eyes being special or powerful. I think the dragons, pixies, ogres, and were bears were fun additions. The adoration and possessiveness from an Alpha is touched upon regularly, along with fated mates, so ✔️. I also like how she ended the book. It wasn’t all perfect, but close enough. I can’t tell ya how it ends, so you’ll just have to get it when it comes out.

Now, these are things I personally do not like in books. I hate when we have to constantly compare everyone else to the MC. Listen, I’m a Gabby, so if anything I should be ecstatic everyone had something nice to say about her, but it was over the top, like to the point, others were essentially called sl*ts, and I’m not a big fan of the sl*t shaming. “The other males aren’t interested in taking you as a mate because they know they can have you any time they want you. All they have to do is call you and you’ll warm their bed for them. A true luna respects herself ... something you know nothing about.” This happened like once or two more times, and it bugs me.

I feel like important details were skipped and then sort of fixed later, or not at all, between Ella and Jackson. For example, Oliver was his son, and she never tried to tell him and reach out? She just made the effort one time and never again??? Then don’t get me started on 4 yo Oliver. I’ve been surrounded by children my whole life, teacher, babysitter, way older sister, and from my experiences, they don’t have a 30 page discussion about babies in bellies. I thought it would be done with, but then it wasn’t.

Trust me, I know they are curious, but this sounded way more like a 7 or 8 yo. A 4 yo is more is “Why?” … “but why?” Not whatever Oliver was. Also, did Gabby ever take care of her kids? I mean besides protecting them. She was out trying to save the world more than she was with them. It was way to pawn them off the entire story. This just wasn’t my cup of tea. It had potential for me, but towards the end I couldn’t stand the FMC and MMC and all the fated mates. If I heard Jace call himself her brother or his sister one more time, I was gonna lose it.

Having read JM Snap’s other books before I was excited to be given an ARC opportunity for this new series!
This story has a lot of suspense, and plot twists, which made for an emotional and surprising plot. Just when you’re sure you know where the story is headed be prepared to have your mind blown.
The first chapter alone is so emotional and as you learn more from each character and their pov’s are shared you start to unravel what happened in the past.
What I love about JM Snap’s characters is that she makes them so personable and relatable. I love some good banter and witty humor. The side characters don’t even feel like secondary background characters. They’re all intertwined and their connections to the main characters is beautiful. They form a found family bond that rivals blood related bonds. Her writing brings you to tears, the edge of your seat, and doubled over laughing all in the same story.
The story ends really well, knowing there will be a sequel to come, but it wraps up nicely without like a major cliff hanger, which I personally appreciate! I look forward to the sequel “The Alpha’s Heart” (2026)

My quick version of a synopsis without giving away spoilers:
Jackson and Gabriella were each other’s first loves, but they discover she is mated to his twin brother, Tony. Jackson immediately leaves Gabriella and goes off to fight in the war, without discussing anything with her. She is heartbroken and furious. She struggles and refuses to accept the bond between her and Tony.
Years pass and Gabriella slowly made room in her heart for Tony, but they both know she could never fully love him and they accept their relationship as is. Tony is killed en route back home. Left with questions regarding Tony’s death, her two young children, and a pack that doesn’t like her, Gabriella is juggling it all when Jackson walks through the front door.
He immediately decides to claim Gabriella and his mate and her children as his own. This gives her family the protection needed from members of the pack who start to speak up against her. Together they investigate what happened to Tony and the events that led up to his death. However, in doing so they revisit the past and things aren’t what they thought they were. Choices were made that directly affected them both, but they were never told. People they thought they knew and trusted turn out to have been keeping secrets putting them in danger.

I loved reading this book and I felt all of Gabriella’s pain throughout this book from her being loyal to her pack and not mentioning the daily pain she suffers from being forcibly marked by her mate and by her true love leaving to join the war in this supernatural world.
Jackson finally returns after his brothers death and takes over the pack and Gabriella and her kids. He has always loved Gabriella and was hurt when his brother Tony ends up being her mate.
I hated Tony in the beginning of this book, but by the end I started to understand his reasoning.
Jace is her personal guard who is actually a Bear shifter who also has lost his family tragically. He is a broken man who would do anything to protect Gabriella and her kids. He starts to open up and heal by the end of the book and I laughed so hard I was crying and my ribs hurt when he was under the effects of fairy spell.
Oliver is her little son who is 4 and has no filter and is so adorable. He made me laugh so hard a couple times. He is a fierce little protector of his baby sister Mia who is 2.
Later it is found out that little Oliver is actually Jackson’s son. And that Gabriella is an Amethyst lycan. The rest of the pack all seem to be in hiding.
There is so much going on in this book, smiles and tears during a supernatural war. With magic and includes as many supernatural beings one could possibly think of and plus some. The characters are so well written and each character pops with personality. The good and the bad.
This is book one of a new series by this author. It does end on a slight cliffhanger, but it’s more like we finished this task and now we see what’s next in our story. I can’t wait to see what the next book brings. All her other books are just as great and this one does not disappoint.
I 100% recommend. This book and all her others.

The Alpha’s Reflection is a breathtaking fantasy romance that weaves together a beautiful, heart-wrenching narrative of love, loss, and the intertwining forces of destiny. From the very first page, the story immerses you in a world where the supernatural and human emotions collide in the most poignant ways.

The protagonist’s journey is deeply emotional—torn between love and duty, past and future, she faces challenges that test not only her heart but her very soul. The chemistry between the lead characters is palpable, and their bond feels destined, yet complicated by personal traumas and the weight of their responsibilities. The author does an incredible job of developing complex, multidimensional characters that feel real and relatable, despite the fantastical setting.

What truly sets The Alpha’s Reflection apart is its exploration of loss. It’s not just the loss of loved ones, but also the loss of self, and how one navigates through grief while trying to find hope and strength in a world that feels increasingly uncertain. The author’s writing is rich with emotion, drawing readers into the characters' inner turmoil and their desperate desire to reclaim their futures.

The world-building is equally exceptional. The magical elements and the lore behind the alphas, shifters, and other supernatural beings are fascinating, but it’s the emotional stakes of the romance and the characters’ personal growth that steal the show.

This book is a perfect blend of passion, action, and heartache. It’s a tale that stays with you long after you turn the last page. The Alpha’s Reflection is a must-read for fans of fantasy romance—full of twists, drama, and an unforgettable love story that feels both timeless and inevitable. Highly recommended!!

The Alpha’s Reflection
By JM Snap
Genre: Fantasy / Romance

10/10 – A Riveting Fantasy Romance Full of Emotion and Mystery

JM Snap delivers a masterpiece with The Alpha’s Reflection, weaving an enthralling tale of love, loss, and self-discovery.

Jackson’s return to his pack following the tragic death of his twin brother, Tony, sets the stage for a story brimming with tension and intrigue. As he claims his role as alpha, he’s also drawn to his brother’s Luna, Gabriella—a woman burdened by emotional scars and a past filled with pain, some of which Jackson himself caused. The dynamic between Jackson and Gabriella is electric, filled with raw emotion and unspoken truths.

Gabriella’s journey is the heart of the story. Confronted by Jackson’s identical face—one that both haunts and captivates her—she must navigate a whirlwind of emotions and uncover the mysteries surrounding her life. As magical secrets unravel and war looms, Gabriella finds herself at the center of a storm that will test her strength and reveal truths she never expected.

JM Snap masterfully balances romance and suspense, creating a narrative that is impossible to put down. The emotional depth of the characters, combined with the layers of mystery and the looming danger, make this a truly captivating read.

If you love stories that explore the complexities of love and identity against a backdrop of fantasy and magic, The Alpha’s Reflection is a must-read. Prepare for a rollercoaster of emotions and a plot that keeps you guessing until the very end.

The Alpha’s Reflection is a fast paced romantasy that I couldn’t put down. This heartwarming tale of reclaimed love is the first book in a series. While there will be a book 2, it felt satisfying as a standalone. In this romance, Luna Gabriella loses her mate. Then his twin brother, Jackson, Gabby’s childhood sweetheart, returns from war to take over the pack, a pack that doesn’t care for Gabby because of her complicated relationship with her mate. This is the first time Jackson has been home since losing Gabby to his brother and introducing this new dynamic to their relationship comes with its challenges, especially because Gabby now has two kids.
This was a wonderful book. Gabby’s kids and new found family added humor and friendships in unexpected ways. I loved discovering the multiple supernaturals that lived in this world. It kept the book fresh and added intriguing dynamics between characters. Reading about Jackson’s and Gabby’s growth throughout the book and rediscovering the love which was never lost between them gave me all the feels. I couldn’t stop rooting for this couple from the beginning. It was a pleasant surprise reading about a couple who communicated and worked together through the trying times and grief rather than letting it fester. The Alpha’s Reflection left off at a strong satisfying place, however I cannot wait to be sucked back in for book 2. I would highly recommend this book if you love second chance romantasies. I cannot wait to read it again!

The Alpha’s Reflection by JM Snap is an enthralling read that captivates from start to finish. JM Snap's writing prowess shines through, drawing readers into the vivid world of the characters. The blend of fantasy, romance, fated mates, supernatural beings, and action creates a compelling narrative that is hard to put down. The story revolves around the main characters, Gabriella and Jackson, who must confront their pasts and learn to forgive themselves, each other, and work to identify and locate their enemy. Their journey is filled with challenges, but they face them head-on, growing stronger together. Along the way, they form bonds with a diverse group of supernatural friends, each adding depth and intrigue to the story.

One memorable moment in the book is when Gabriella reflects on her journey, realizing, "It's not the battles we fight that define us, but the strength we find within ourselves to keep moving forward."

JM Snap's ability to create relatable and lovable characters is remarkable. Readers will quickly find themselves invested in the lives of Gabriella, Jackson, and their unique companions. The themes of forgiveness, friendship, and resilience are beautifully woven into the narrative, making The Alpha’s Reflection a must-read!

If you have not stepped into one of JM Snaps worlds you have been missing out. In today’s time where there are thousands of fantasy books available not only in print but all over the internet it is easy to get overwhelmed or even become a bit numb to the story lines where you feel as if you may have even read this book before.

That is not the case with JM Snap! Her writing brings you into not only a book but a world that she creates; one where you find yourself not only caring about what is happening to the main characters but the entire family themselves. She writes in a way that captures a readers interest so that you voraciously go through her books and leaves you eagerly awaiting the next release.

The Alpha’s Reflection is no different. Gabrielle’s story is full of surprises and the story is a beautiful realization and acceptance of past secrets and love moving forward. I am excited to see what happens with Jackson and Gabby moving forward as they explore Gabby’s hidden history and know that it will be an amazing ride.

I will say to anyone who has not read JM’s books before to go find her other novels as well. Her Doctor series is what pulled me in initially and I have never regretted a single book of hers I’ve read!!

This is my first experience with JM Snap, and I'm a fan! Gabriella is a strong FMC. She stands up for her convictions, doesn't let anyone walk all over her. Jackson sometimes does things that make me mad, but what man doesn't *haha*. And I just love Garrett, he's a hoot. I hope Jace continues to be a big part of the next books as well. You just have to love his protectiveness.

The story contains banter, comedy, sadness, love and action and plenty of surprises and twists and turns. It has a Happily Ever After and ends with a light cliffhanger. Everything is pretty much wrapped up so it's not a dire cliffhanger that makes you mad the book ended, but leaves enough of a light cliffhanger for a second book.

Spice level is a 2.5. There are a few things that might be triggers to some. But nothing super dark. The only complaint I had was how often the characters "clicked their tongues" during conversation. Once or twice, okay. But it was so often it was starting to take away from the story for me. It stopped for awhile and picked up again at the end of the story. It was just a small thing that didn't seem natural. Looking forward to book 2!

🌶️🌶️

I don’t usually read 3rd person. I can’t handle the camera looking down experience. But this… this didn’t feel like 3rd person. It was more like 2.5? Or like a 1 and 3/4. It was an overview of what is happening. But it’s feelings and experiences and inner worries. The things you love the most in any good book. And this was a good book!

There are twists and turns. Worries and concerns. Happiness and love. Secrets and betrayals.

Gabby is Luna when her mate is ended at a pack meeting. She does her best to keep the pack moving forward will keeping some secrets of her own. She’s strong. Fierce. And loving. She would do anything for any of her people.

Jackson has been off at war for 5yrs. He’s been missing the woman he’s always loved. When he brother dies it’s time to come home. He takes possession of the pack, Gabby and her kids. But he doesn’t do it out of responsibility. He does it because he would do anything for her. Including uncovering the secrets about his brother and his girl.

Love love loved this and I would 100% read book 2! Coming in 2026!

Wow. I had tears of sadness, tears from laughter, and feel good moments. This book was everything! Binge reading this was very easy to do; I couldn't put it down. The way you were able to be completely immersed into this books world and feel like you were there was amazing! The female main character was strong, and you really were able to feel her. I also really loved that the characters weren't just coming into adulthood, and they had lives that took turns and brought them to where the book takes place. The soldier/warrior homecoming feel was beautiful and always sparks emotion. LIttle Oliver was absolutely adorable and actually reminded me a bit of my own son, making the characters and how they feel more relatable. The twists and turns were jaw-dropping; at one point, this book had me thinking one way and then bam. I also really enjoyed that all of the characters were visited, and you weren't left wondering what happened to one character that was mentioned. 10/10 worth the read and will 100000% be added to my re-read list.

I received an advance copy of this book.

This was my first omegaverse novel that wasn’t pay to read. The story was well paced and engaging, with several strong characters fighting their own inner demons to become better friends, partners, leaders, and family. Each character had a unique backstory and the author did a wonderful job at allowing them to grow and develop.

My only issues with the book were the formatting (though this could just have been a glitch with my copy) all the text was right aligned and italicized, which got a little confusing as the characters could converse telepathically and those conversations weren’t in quotes. Had the main text been standard and those conversations italicized, the story would have been much easier to follow. Otherwise, there were times that the dialogue got a little clunky, just because it was not generally how people talk, but this didn’t impact my enjoyment of the story very much.

Hello! This was my first type of book where there were multiple POV’s in the same chapter and not by chapter. I didn’t hate it by all means. It just took me a few chapters to get use to it. From beginning to end I was hooked into the plot and the characters. I snuck read it while I was at work because I didn’t want to not read it, if you know what I mean. There was a bit of repetition in the “I don’t know why my brother/husband would do this to me.” But once they got closure the repetitive was gone. Also you would read something in past tense like it happened in the past then the next paragraph what actually happened is happening in the present. Didn’t make sense why you’d past tense something before it happened. But it didn’t affect the plot too much.
I can’t wait to read book two since we got left on a cliff hanger.

Thank you so much for the chance to be an ARC! 🖤🙏🏻

I havent read many fantasy books that include shifters, so this was a new adventure for me! 🤩 I loved the plot and how the MCs and supporting characters intertwine throughout the story. 🏕 The added bits of humor that were inserted where it could actually occur in real-life situations, especially with Olly and Mia. 🪴 It was also PERFECT in Jace's unfortunate event with the fairies. IYKYK. 🤣

I loved the companionship with the characters, but it seemed like love was just flowing everywhere! 💕 Although there were only a handful of very smutty scenes, I felt that the romance was a bit strong from beginning to end. 😍 I definitely enjoyed the villains, but I kind of hope there are more about them in the next book in the Mirage series, which I will DEFINITELY be reading!🤎 🐾

As an avid reader and true fan of JM Snap, I'm used to her amazing characters, world building, and true love. This one... this one was off-the-charts hot, and Jackson is so dang swoonworthy and yummy, you just want to take a bite for yourself.

In a world where the lycan and wolf armies are fighting against an unknown foe, magic stirs within Gabriella, who is with her fated mate but not with her one true love... her mate's twin. Deceptions, death, grief, epic battle scenes, and second chance romance all build up into a masterpiece in this gritty love story of how true love conquers all.

There's found family, lots of great secondary characters, and Gabriella's kids are freaking adorable. And Gabriella is no damsel in distress, but it's refreshing nowadays to read a story where they are EQUALLY strong and they can rely on each other.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!

I absolutely love this book, the twists and turns that JM Snap leads you through while reading this, the love that is written through the pages comes shinning through.

I love the fact that the characters are older and have lived life, they come with their own bruises and vulnerability.

The story centres around Gabriella and Jackson, their love and their own battles.

A love that was always meant to be became denied by the worst kind of betrayal...or was it to keep them safe?!

Every good shifter story has a big battle, an enduring love, friendships forged and alliances made.

JM Snap as always does a fantastic job of writing and getting me lost in her stories.

I can 100% recommend reading this story!

Jm Snap has a unique ability to pull you into her written world as if you belong there too. When something happens to her characters you feel it as if it was happening right in front of you as well. She creates worlds and characters that you just can't help but invest in and The Alpha's reflection is no different. She has the reader doing everything she wants them to from sitting on the edge of your seat to crying with the characters at their losses. I highly recommend her as an author and this book (if you can wait for the second to come out!). This is a more distant book due to all the secrets the characters have but I still couldn't put it down and read it within a few days! Who needs sleep when you have JM Snap books!

They have a history and needed to work through some things but their love is RED HOT!!!! HOT, HOT, HOT!!! All of the characters have you rooting for them or wishing for them to get clawed!! You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll be pondering what surprises are in store for you in book 2 by the time you are done reading this book!! Don't hesitate to read it and Jace is my guy!!! :)

Did I devour this book in 24 hours? Yes 👏 I 👏 did👏
I loved that the characters were not 17 and 18 year old young kids. The female lead (who is amazing) has two children (Oliver is the best). I also loved the whole soldier coming home vibe. The relationships between the characters are well developed and you feel like you know the characters.
I loved all the different species that are seen in this book. It gave it a very magical vibe.

This book had the perfect amount of open door spice and I was on the edge of my seat during the fights. Loved the mystery and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I have found myself once again completely hooked and unable to put down another captivating, emotional rollercoaster masterpiece by JM Snap. She has perfected the art of helping the reader be drawn into the beautiful world she has created making it easy to forget all that's going on around you as you think to yourself, "Just one more chapter... ok, maybe just one more... who needs sleep, I can't stop reading now, this is getting too good!" She balances drama and humor perfectly with fresh, new plot ideas, twists and turns that will have you feeling every emotion along with the characters as if you were right there with them. Cannot wait for your next amazing works of art!

The Alpha's Reflection is a captivating novel by a talented author, offering the perfect balance of love, friendship, and action.

Gabriella and Jackson share a deep, passionate love, but their world is turned upside down when Jackson's brother, Tony, unexpectedly turns out to be Gabriella's mate. In a heartbreaking turn of events, Jackson leaves to fight in a war, and after five years, Tony dies under mysterious circumstances. When Jackson returns, he and Gabriella must navigate their complicated feelings and rebuild their trust and love.

This is the first book in the Mirage series, and I'm eagerly anticipating the release of the second book next year.

This book was great, and I was immediately sucked into the story of Gabriella and Jackson. There was a good story line, that sycked you in immediately in chapter 1. I always love a happy ending, or at least a hopeful ending. While this book does end on a cliffhanger, I was left intrigued enough to want to read the 2nd book.

I appreciate the plot and storyline so much. For me, it wasn't rushed and was laid out just right. I also felt there were so many revelations one after another to keep me wanting to read what's next. There were so many answers given that also gave way to many more questions, and I already can't wait for the next one!

JM Snap takes you through a whirlwind of events that are filled with a rollercoaster of emotions up until the last page. The characters are genuine, and you get hooked to the story right from the start. Looking forward to reading the entire series!

Once again Mrs Snap knocks it out of the park!!! I've been a reader of this author since the first book of hers I've read (Dr. Luna) and each and everyone of her books are brilliant. Spice, banter, drama, emotional and heartfelt. She hits nearly every emotion in every book. Jackson and Ella are soul mates without a doubt. And no matter how much you wanna hate Tony, you just can't once you know the whole story. Olivier is hilarious. Jace is perfection. And Garrett.....well every story needs a sexy dragon 🔥🤣 Can't wait for book two and any other book JM Snap writes in the future. Brilliant author and brilliant story.

Such a good book, I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed that it dives right into the story and makes you feel like you are a part of the pack but can’t quite remember all of the background information. More pieces quickly get filled in and you are taken through a journey of discovery for not only members of the pack but for the pack itself.
Great characters and even better character development. I appreciate the attention to detail whether it is in describing the people or places to the subplots and foreshadowing.
I highly recommend reading, it will leave you wishing the second book was already out!

This book was SO incredibly good that I'm already counting it as one of my favorite reads for 2025.

Jackson's and Gabby's story is so entertaining and will have you turning the page. The storyline has a good flow with a good pace that doesn't feel rushed. The characters and the world in which they live are well-developed. There were so many surprise twists that kept drawing you in.

Be prepared that this is book 1 of a new series, so not every plot point is completed by the end of the book. But don't worry. This book has a nice wrap-up and sets the stage for book 2.

Oh, and watch out for little Oliver. He's a scene stealer...LOL

The Alpha's Reflections is an amazing book that takes the reader through a gambit of emotions as they meet the characters, get to know them, and learn about what may have motivated various actions. Throughout the growth of the characters our feelings change towards them as we find out their depths and the truths behind what they are doing.

I love that the story is fully thought out, takes us through an adventure, and the main story is complete enough at the end that it leaves the reader content. However, enough happens in the story that we want to know more, and that is what leads us into needing to read book 2 which should come out in 2026.
