Melanie had one goal when she headed to the snowy mountains for a cozy weekend with her bestie sip cocoa, snap some cute dog rescue pics for her influencer page, and maybe unwind a little.
She did not plan on the tall, broody security guy with a dimpled smirk and arms built like he lifts Christmas trees for fun. But after one too many mugs of mulled wine and a shared blanket by the fire, Melanie finds herself unwrapping a lot more than presents.
Back home in Saint Pierce, she’s feeling merry and bright… until two pink lines on a stick change everything.
Now Melanie’s facing a very jingle-belly situation and trying to figure out how to tell Lucas. And he’s suddenly showing up everywhere, being way too sweet, and somehow looking even hotter in flannel. Did Santa put her on the naughty list… or the nice one?
With twinkle lights, mistletoe mishaps, and a surprise baby on the way, Melanie’s about to discover that the best Christmas gifts can’t be wrapped, and love might be the most unexpected stocking stuffer of all.
Perfect for fans of snowy cabin shenanigans, surprise pregnancies, and cinnamon roll heroes with protective streaks and secret feelings.
Get ready to laugh, swoon, and fa-la-la-fall in love!

Luckily, Lucas and Melanie were able to work together to not only ensure their, but also work towards the happily ever after they didn’t know they wanted.
The gripping romance story quickly pulled me in from the first chapter and eagerly turning the pages anxiously to see how things would turn out. The attraction between the characters was fiery and when wonderful to see how the protective instincts of the main male took over the moment the possibility of danger arrived. You won’t be disappointed by reading this captivating story with twists, that will keep you totally engrossed all the way through to the end.

A Very Bumpy Christmas is a bodyguard romance with a one night stand turning more. This is Melanie and Lucas’s story filled with lots of surprises and unexpected moments. I love their connection and banter is hilarious. Also love the protectiveness when things get interesting in their life. I also like the way they picked up where they left off and the chemistry!! 💜 I really enjoyed their story.
I voluntarily leave an honest review of this gifted advance reader copy.
First off, the cover of this book so so cute. Second, this whole book was such an adorable read and I loved Mel and Lucas. Let’s start with how adorable this cover is!! An adorable cover for a story that has everything! Love, friendship, little/low angst, a little spice and a whole lot of swoon. This one is such a feel good read I couldn’t help but read it all in one sitting. Loved! Loved! Loved!
What's not to love with a Logan Chance novel? And does he deliver with Melanie and Lucas's story! An emotional feel good romance in all the right ways. Everyone needs a Lucas in their lives. Always placing Melanie first as his number 1! It's Swoon Worthy! Having a hot and smutty meet up for a weekend, both citing they don't do complicated seemed to suit them both! Living across the country from each other that when they leave each other and head back to their own lives, they both secretly hope the other rings or attempts to make contact. A few ignored phone calls and text messages and Lucas receives the message loud and clear. Melanie has moved on! Then Lucas is in Saint Pierce for work 7 months later, and doing his usual look around, he sees her! Melanie, the woman he has been unable to forget. Well, as per the blurb we all know Melanie is carrying a big secret, which he immediately sees when he enters the shop....A baby bump! But who is the father? As Lucas adjusts to the idea he may be the father to Mel's baby, she shoots him down as she tells him the father's name is Freddie! So begins the second chance for Lucas, as when Mel needs a helping hand Lucas seems to be there for her. He is super sweet and as Mel decides to tell him the truth, citing they are only friends and he can see the baby when ever he is in town. Lucas feels a tightness...he doesn't want to be a post card father! How can he convince Mel he wants more? Lucas falls first....or does he, as Mel harbours secret feelings for the father of her baby. Read how they become one with Lucas finally admitting to himself that these crazy feelings he has been having could actually be love! All this is happening whilst there is threat lurking outside. Lucas knows he needs to keep Mel and their baby safe. A little but of drama never hurts a romance in the making! The sweetest read I have had in a long time and even I had tears in my eyes, on occasion, and No they were not hormonal tears!! But it does lead to a beautiful HEA for Mel, Lucas and their little bundle of Joy.
Another super cute read by Logan Chance! This one feels like another chapter in the Men of Maddox Security world — though not officially part of the series — since our main character, Melanie, was first introduced in Defending What’s Mine.
Melanie is best friends with Charlotte, who Asher was assigned to protect in that book. Now, Charlotte and Asher are married, expecting a baby, and running a dog rescue in Denver. Melanie heads there for a weekend of puppies and photos when she gets a flat tire — cue her knight in shining armor, Lucas, who just happens to be Asher’s coworker.
The two hit it off instantly and end up spending the night together, even though they both claim they “don’t do complicated.” Of course, things get a little too real when Lucas shows up working in Melanie’s hometown, and their paths collide again.
This story was sweet, festive, and full of small-town charm — twinkling lights, cozy drinks, and plenty of heart. I really enjoyed the growth both characters showed in such a short book. For two people who swore off “complicated,” they sure made it look warm, cozy, and maybe even a little magical. The ending was perfect — a true holiday happily-ever-after, blizzard and all.
This story is an enticing, quick-paced read with stormy emotions, wonderful characters, suspense, fiery, passionate romance, witty banter and a well-deserved happy forever.
Melanie Mason, a smart, beautiful influencer, meets handsome Lucas Lawson from the Maddox Denver security team in the Denver mountains. She is visiting her best friend Charlotte and her husband Asher to take photos of their rescue dogs for her influencer page. Fiery desires spark between Melanie and Lucas on a starry night. Back home in the friendly town of St. Pierce Melanie learns she is pregnant from their night together. Her dilemma is how she tells Lucas this unexpected news. They face a few hurdles before finding their happy forever.
Savored every word in this entertaining holiday read and couldn’t wait to see what happened next. Love the banter in this story and how Lucas’ protective instincts take over to protect Melanie and their unborn child. Their love is genuine and shines throughout this read. Loved this storyline and received a pre-release copy of this story.
In the Maddox world, we head to Denver and Saint Pierce. Melanie travels to Denver to visit her Charlotte, and her husband Asher. (Defending What's Mine) They run a dog rescue and Melanie wants to get pictures online, in hopes of getting them adopted. On the way, she has a bit of car trouble and Lucas pulls over to help her. As they talk, they learn Melanie and Charlotte are best friends and Lucas works for Asher. Lucas gives Melanie a ride, they have an instant attraction, and hope to keep in contact when Lucas gets called away for an assignment.
Several months later, Melanie and her sister are out in about in her town of Saint Pierce, when Melanie sees Lucas. She doesn’t want him to see her so tries to hide; she has a secret and him seeing her might ruin everything. Or, will it make everything better?
Great book to read going into the Holiday season. Fun, easy to read, a bit of suspense but not too heavy. Being in the Maddox world, you know there will be some friends popping in, always willing to support their team.
A Very Bumpy Christmas is low angst holiday romance that follows Melanie and Lucas. Now seven months later fate has brought them back together. Will she admit the truth or watch him walk away? You can't help but love Lucas and how he bends over backwards to be there for her while he's still devoted to his job and his team. It's an emotional story with a bit of suspense, a surprise pregnancy, a chaotic snowstorm, vulnerability, humor and romance.
I received an ARC through Booksprout an I'm voluntarily leaving my review.
A one-night stand that changes lives forever. A Very Bumpy Christmas is a sweet, strangers, one-night stand that will warm your heart; however, there is a bit of suspense that keeps you on your toes. Who knew that a flat tire would lead to the love of your life and a surprise that makes Christmas one of the best ones ever. Melanie and Lucas had an instant attraction; they shared one night because they don't do "complications". The only thing is that life had a Christmas surprise for both of them. I love how protective Lucas was of Mel. The determination to win her over and make sure she knows that he will always be there makes him a great book boyfriend. Melane is a strong and independent woman who finally lets Luca in after he shows her he is worth trusting. The code talk that Luca uses starts to rub off on Melanie because of the job he is doing. I had to snicker a few times when they were using Gingerbread and Cinnamon Roll for codes. Overall all a fantastic feel-good book to leave a smile on your face.
Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. Unlike the others in the Maddox Security series, Lucas and Melanie's story has less of the action and suspense but it had the easy to read, sweet and emotional feel good romance in all the right ways.
For 2 people who don't do complicated, an accidental pregnancy was definitely a huge wrench in their plans. But it was wonderful to see how Lucas stepped up and was there every step of the way, laying "sandbags" and "asking and not assuming" what Melanie needed. Melanie's mix of fearless independence and vulnerability made her real and likeable. I loved them as individuals and as a couple. Add in the cute dogs (I loved how their personalities came through) and you have the perfect recipe of a great book. The ending was awesome and perfect for a feel good holiday romance - fun, flirty, and full of heart.

The holiday season is fast approaching and A Very Bumpy Christmas is an absolute must read. On a trip to visit her best friend in Denver, Melanie meets someone she cannot forget even after returning home to Saint Pierce. While Lucas has tried to reach out, Melanie maintains her distance until a chance encounter changes everything. Lucas is placed on an assignment in Saint Pierce and has a surprise reunion with the woman he cannot get out of his mind. Melanie and Lucas are great together. Logan has written them in such a way that they share some of the same fears and their reluctance to express those fears. Lucas with his protective ways is the perfect match for her independent yet worryful temperament. Their story will have you singing Christmas carols, drinking hot cocoa while cuddled up with your favorite blanket.

Melanie meets Lucas when she was driving up to see her bestie, Charlotte. They had an instant attraction. They clicked and had great conversations. They share one steamy night. They both can't stop thinking about each other.
7 months later Melanie is very pregnant and runs into Lucas. He is in Saint Pierce for a job. The banter is great, and their story is so good! I couldn't put it down needed to know how it would all turn out!!
Logan does a great job at sucking you into his stories and making you love his characters!!
If you’re looking for a holiday romance that feels like a cozy snow-globe with a surprise inside, A Very Bumpy Christmas: An Unexpected Pregnancy Holiday Romance by Logan Chance is your ticket. Melanie heads to the mountains to relax with her kitten and some cocoa—and instead meets Lucas, the tall, broody security guy with a dimpled smirk who interrupts her weekend getaway.
Their one-hot-weekend becomes complicated when Melanie returns home and a pregnancy test changes everything. Lucas shows up, protective and invested, and Melanie realises the best gifts aren’t wrapped in boxes—they’re wrapped in honesty, vulnerability, and love.
It’s sweet, steamy, and full of heart. A perfect festive escape that left me smiling all the way. Highly recommended for lovers of holiday romance and surprise-baby tropes.
Keeping the lights on This gave me all the warm fuzzies, gentle laughs and a few quiet tears. Melanie and Lucas are such beautiful characters. Mel’s artistic, a little messy but open and full of love. Lucas is tactical, honest, protective, sturdy and has the gentlest and sweetest heart. I loved how we went from one “uncomplicated” night to seven months later where complicated just got interesting. This has a spicy start full of chemistry, instant connection and cute rescue dogs but turns into a slow burn full of gentle check-ins and tender moments with a side of possible stalker. It’s full of romance, suspense, emotion, action, drama, baby bumps, sweetness, swoons and slow yeses. I loved how the Maddox team are always in the wings, ready and willing and how Mel’s family accepted Lucas in an instant. Another must read in the Maddox Security series.
When Melanie planned to spend some time with her best friend she never could have anticipated how the weekend would unfold. When she finds herself experiencing car trouble Lucas comes to her rescue and they spend an unforgettable weekend together however it doesn’t end there when after they go their separate ways she finds out that she is pregnant.
Lucas has not been able to forget about Melanie so when fate brings them together months later he isn’t about to make the same mistake again. He is determined to show her that the weekend they spent together is only the beginning and that he will do whatever is necessary to keep her and their child safe.
The characters and their personalities draw you in, the banter between them is humorous, the romance is heartwarming, and the suspense part of the story only makes it more entertaining.
I loved the ease of this story, buy that I mean that it flowed very well, had good developed characters and everything was balanced just right for me. I 100% believed in the connection and chemistry between these two, and really liked them together, I wanted to hug them both at different times for the worries, doubts, regrets and for the words they wanted to say but struggled with. I really liked the support they got got, it helped them to self evaluate and helped them work out what they did and didn't want. The way they found to communicate with each other, to say so much with so little words, and how they worked together with their chosen rules and goals just added so much to their story and I so enjoyed reading it.

A Very Bumpy Christmas is part of the Sleigh All Day Holiday Romances series. This is a great addition to a Christmas themed series that keeps getting added to each year. This story finds Melanie ready for a quiet and low key vacation with her best friend Charlotte in the mountains. Lucas works in security and likes his life uncomplicated. When Charlotte has a flat tire Lucas is the one who stops and helps her out. There are sparks flying between them and one night of wild passionate fun. But when Charlotte returns home she discovers she left with something more than just sweet memories. Lucas is about to discover that his world is going to get a lot more complicated than he ever thought it could be. But Santa has some other presents for these two along the way with a little elf magic.
This was my first time reading anything by Logan Chance and I will definitely read more by him very soon! The characters in A Very Bumpy Christmas were wonderfully written and the banter was truly top notch. There was just enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, but not so much to cause you to stress out and put the book in the freezer (iykyk). The love story was swoon worthy without question. Melanie and Lucas were made for each other. I loved this book! So much so, that as soon as I finished it, I started reading it again! I read it twice in one day! I can’t wait to read the stories of the other characters in the book! If you’re looking for a wonderful love story with a group of amazing and funny supporting characters, you’ll want to read A Very Bumpy Christmas today.
I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book. It’s completely amazing!! Logan Chance writes these incredible couples. Every time I meet my favorite he introduces another one that’s even better. Lucas and Melanie are on the top of my list. I love the metaphors and tactical romance even the lemons lol.
What a journey Lucas and Mel are on. But even from there weekend 7 months ago, you felt something happening between them. Now with a baby on the way and some unexpected work drama, they are trying to build something beautiful.
I’m so glad these two have there chance for happiness and are able to build a family with their beautiful baby boy.
Everything about this story was amazing, I loved every minute of it.
Ah yes, a flat tire, a handsome rescuer when there isn’t a spare, and puppies! What a great start to an intense and beautiful story. I was angry at first when lies were told, but when the truth came through, fairly early in the story thankfully, I let my heart swoon. Lucan and Melanie are a match made in heaven. They just get each other and it’s awesome to read. This is a shorter, but lovable holiday story that has a touch of mystery, and will have you glowing like a ribbon of fairy lights before it is over. The story is a great one to sit back and enjoy with a cup of cocoa and maybe even some cinnamon buns Copy that.
Logan Chance has successfully brought me into the world of Maddox Security and I know I will be devouring more of this series now.
What a fun read by Logan. This story follows Lucas and Melanie who meet unexpectedly when Melanie is on her way to her friend's cabin to take pictures of dogs that need to be adopted seeing she is an influencer. Their chance meeting happens when Melanie has car trouble along the way and is rescued by Lucas. A quick vacation fling leaves Melanie pregnant and unsure if/how she is going to tell Lucas. However, several months later, he happens to be in her town on a job and they bump into each other and he finds out what is going on. This holiday romance is fun to follow with their chemistry, but also with Lucas on a job, the suspense with how that will turn out keeps you wanting to know what happens next!
Thank you to BookSirens for an ARC of A Very Bumpy Christmas: An Unexpected Pregnancy Holiday Romance (Sleigh All Day Holiday Romances) by Logan Chance.
I received this ARC for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a quick, fun, steamy HEA holiday romance. Melanie finds herself pregnant after a one-night stand. When she unexpectedly runs into the father after she's decided to be a single mom, she chokes and tells him he's not the father. But he soon finds out the truth and that's when the romance begins.
Lucas is part of Maddox Security and he seems over protective but when they realize he's being followed it ups the stakes a bit.
The characters are fun and the Christmas setting is delightful.
A beautiful and thoughtful love journey of two trying to uncomplicate the complicated they both think they can’t do. Melanie and Lucas run into each other again months after their steamy passionate tryst in Denver. From there we have an emotional story of a precious secret, mistakes, vulnerability, realizations, tactical romance, snowstorm chaos, humor, banter and a “one sandbag at a time” mission. I fell in love with Lucas as he refigures his life for Melanie and a future. As always, the Maddox Team members camaraderie was strong in their unwavering support. A bit of suspense, and a whole lot of heart made this a wonderful read.
What happens when you meet a guy you connect with only one time and end up about to have the baby by Christmas and too afraid to tell him because “complications” is a very adult word that no one likes especially when distance and jobs are very real things? You have A Very Bumpy Christmas. This awesomely, adorable story between Mel and Lucas has all the things fans love from Logan Chance. The comedy, the seriousness, the romance, the security of it all blends perfectly together in this books. This is definitely one you want stuffed in your stocking this Christmas, or just to put you in the holiday spirit.
This is the best time of year and I am so excited for all the Christmas books to come out and this book was just the beginning. Melanie and Lucas don’t want complicated but that is exactly what they get including a little drama and suspense. Once encounter was all it took for these two to know that they had a connection and when life throws them a curveball they manage to uncomplicate it all and give their relationship a running chance. I loved all the characters and their personalities and the story had a lovely festive feel. I was hooked from the very first page.
I received an arc copy via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Feel Good Romance. This Maddox Security novel is about Melanie Mason and Lucas Lawson. We read a snippet of them at the end of Defending What’s Mine. Let me tell you, cute and funny. Melanie is quirky, silly and just fun. Lucas is all military and sexy. The fact she gets stranded on her way to meet best friend Charlotte with husband Asher only to meet Lucas starts a beautiful romance that isn’t supposed to be complicated but a surprise pregnancy only makes these two break out the feels. It’s enjoyable and a definite feel good romance.

A Christmas romance read by a favorite author! I mean that right there should say it all but alas - I guess I'll give you more. This is such a well written and delightfully well-balanced romance read. With sweet romance, steamy chemistry, witty banter, humor and more. Our main characters are Melanie and Lucas who have a one-night stand that turns into more. Of course, that's the boiled down version of this storyline so you won't want to miss all the yummy details Chance delivers in this read. Loved it and can't wait for more!

Melanie and Lucas are the absolute sweetest! This story is heartfelt and swoon worthy through and through. I enjoyed how we’re given a story that is wrapped around our two main characters but we also have a bit of mystery with the team and their mission as well. Melanie is a strong, proud woman and Lucas is a man that has strong principles. I admire both of them, especially with this story and how connected they are. A wonderful read that is wrapped around the Christmas season but can easily be enjoyed year round.
