“Yeah, you are.” He lifted his head and stared down at her, his dark green gaze as intoxicating as a shot of hard liquor on an empty stomach. “While we’re together, you belong to only me, no one else.”
I can’t believe this is the first time I’m reading a book by this author. I’m berating myself how I could have missed her this long. Her writing style is what I look for in a lighthearted romance and she delivered it so well. There was so much heat, banter, likeable characters and of course romance. I just didn’t want it to end. I’m super excited to read all of her books now.
Raina is a proud owner of a adult toys boutique called
Sugar and spice. Lately her dating life has been a little dull and due to her occupation, she has been burned pretty bad in the past so she’s not looking for anything serious just a one night stand with someone who can fulfil her deepest and erotic fantasies. So it’s a no brainier when she gets an invitation to the hottest, the players club, for nights just like she wants.
But out of all those men staring up at her, it was the stunningly gorgeous one sitting at the bar below who’d clearly been watching her performance who set her heart beating hard and fast in her chest. Even with the distance separating them, even through the haze and flashing lights, his intense, hungry gaze captured her attention and made her skin prickle in awareness.
The moment she steps inside the club, she feels excited and the more activities she sees around her, the more turned on she gets. No one is judging and everything feels sensual. Dancing inside a cage up above the dance floor, she lets loose and the moment her eyes clashes with Logan, she’s done for. The tension between them was off the charts HOT. Usually she likes to be in control but the moment Logan steps inside her cage, she’s knows exactly who’s gonna be in control of their actions.
The moment he’d crowded into that cage with her and pressed her against the bars, he’d known that she wasn’t a pushover, that her ability to yield to him would be based on him being stronger and more dominant—a prospect he’d found incredibly arousing.
Logan was mesmerised the second he saw her dancing, the chemistry was instant between them. After giving into their desires, he’s shocked when she sneaks out without even giving her name. The next day he’s surprised to see her at his work place and finds out she’s got a stalker and he’s her bodyguard till they catch the guy. Lust is still thick in the air between them and he’s knows they’ll give in all he needs is to seduce her a little and what a seduction that was to make her submit to him 🔥.

Raina was shocked to see Logan and felt a little stupid for thinking he might have been the stalker. She does felt safe around him after learning how capable he is. She knows it’s going to be tough being in close proximity. So when he offers her a no stings attached affair, she gives in. But the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes not to fall for him. I hated how she was judged in the past and also the way her own family hurt her, I get where her insecurities were coming from.
”Whatever those doubts and fears are, I’m going to spend as long as it takes to disprove every single one. You’re worth fighting for, Raina Beck. You’re beautiful and smart and independent. You make me laugh and feel things I thought were dead long ago. Without a doubt, you are my future, my forever. Believe it, because it’s true.”
I fell in love with the temptation that was Logan. The man was charming and handsome. He could be so sweet and caring and in the next moment intense and domineering. I loved both sides of him. He was so patient with her, never giving up on her. The way he teased her and made her laugh. He knew she was someone he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
”I want to touch you.”
“I said no.” He flicked her nipple with his finger, delivering a stinging punishment for her persistence.
She gasped and glared at him. “Dammit, Logan, this is so not fair!”
“I never said it would be,” he murmured, every inch the bad boy she’d met at The Players Club just a few nights ago. “Another word, and I’ll fucking gag you.”
Her eyes widened at the threat. “You wouldn’t dare!”
He chuckled, the sound dark and devious. “Oh, I would so dare, sugar, so do not challenge me.”
The sex was one of the hottest I have ever read. I want a Logan of my own. The drama was predictable but it was the push and pull, the constant heat and the romance which made this a five star read for me. I can tell this series will be one of my top favourites.

This book was okay. I liked the MCs and I thought they were a cute couple but there we quite a few small things that bugged me the kept me from loving it.
The first disappointment was the MMC. I thought he was going to be a alpha-hole Dom but instead he was a cinnamon role and light on the BDSM. I also didn’t like the negative undertones it had toward Subs and referring them to dull and weak-willed.
This book was also in third person point of view. However, it would switch perspectives between the two main characters during the chapter without any indication. It was a little confusing when one sentence would be Logan’s thoughts and the the next sentence would be Raina’s.
The stalker situation was also on the back burner throughout most of the story so using it as a third act conflict was somehow random but also very predictable at the same time.
I didn’t have any big issues with this book so you may enjoy it if you go in with the right expectations. I was going to give the next book a chance but I saw it has something I have a big issue with so I’m stopping here.

Synopsis:
With an invite to The Player’s Club (a private, members-only sex club), Raina hopes to find a sexy man who will make her forget about her bedroom dry spell. She gets exactly what she’s looking for when she meets Logan.
- ”She’d been given the equivalent of Willy Wonka’s golden ticket, but instead of gorging on chocolate, she planned to indulge in as many orgasms as she could.”
Thinking she will never see him again, they are both surprised when Logan winds up protecting her when danger comes lurking. Obviously it will impossible to keep their hands off each other knowing the combustible sparks they generate when together.
My Thoughts: The following are my thoughts about this book:
General:

- Logan (early 30’s maybe, security agent):
- being betrayed by his girlfriend and best friend while he was in the military has made him shy away from relationships for the last six years
- The following words/phrases were used to describe hero: tall, commanding, sexually confident, a prime example of the word fuckable, dominant, a man used to getting his way, a man who likes to be in control
- Raina (29, owner of Sugar and Spice - a sensual, upscale adult boutique (aka an adult toy store))
- ”Sugar and Spice provided to those who wanted to kink up their sex lives.”
- She grew up with a bipolar father who sometimes hit, often yelled and kicked her out when she was 18
- Previous boyfriend dumped her because he was embarrassed about her sex toy store. Demanded she give it up
- The following words/phrases were used to describe heroine: uninhibited, not a pushover, needs to be in charge, passionate, full of fire, beautiful, smart, independent
Story Thoughts:
- Raina was a bit of a broken record when it came to people’s reaction to her store. She expected everyone to be scandalized and to ostracize her because she owned a sex shop and I felt like she was projecting her own hangup on others. Was she embarrassed about owning a sex store? It certainly seemed like it sometimes. I wanted to yell.....Own Up To It and be proud of your accomplishments!!! So, the undercurrent of shame started to annoy me. 😏
- The bad guy was obvious. I mean, there was really only one guy it could be. So, no real mystery there. It didn’t really fit in the story and everything around this plot needed to be built up and fleshed out better.
- And speaking of the stalker, it really took a backseat to the story anyway. Most of it was about dealing with their past baggage and Raina accepting who she was - no apologies. A little more substance around that and I think that would have worked better than a stalker just haphazardly thrown into a plot
- Logan was the pursuer and I liked that once he knew what he wanted he wasn’t willing to give up

Logan and Raina were a great couple with explosive chemistry. I liked them both right from the start and was rooting for them throughout their bumpy road to their HEA.
Raina is a pretty cynical and disillusioned heroine. She grew up watching her faithless father abuse and rage at her mother for his shortcomings and her current love life is nothing like she’d thought it would be. As the owner of a sexy boutique, Raina’s had to deal with being seen as fun to date and sleep with but never good enough to meet the parents type of girl. Tired of waiting for Mr. Right and always being left heartbroken and disappointed, Raina decides she should embrace the fun/no-strings persona she’s been labelled with.
When she meets her newly acquired bodyguard, Logan, the sparks are definitely there. What starts off as just wild and naughty fun quickly turns into something much deeper and lasting. Logan was persistent enough to break down Raina’s walls and I liked that he was the one to pursue a real relationship so strongly. I loved watching these two open up and trust each other. Although it’s been awhile since I read this story, I still remember that it had a nice balance of sweet tender moments and equal parts that were down right hot and purely erotic.
Favorite Line:
This melted me on the spot! 1) Because it’s super sweet and romantic but mainly because 2) Raina is described as someone who just wants to be loved, unconditionally. Although she’s been rejected and hurt in the past, she’s still a romantic at heart and Logan declaring himself like this was just so perfect for her. I loved the whole scene but those words and the sentiment behind them were the cherry on top :)
Would I recommend? Yes. Raina and Logan were a great couple and their love story was super sexy and sweat.

Ever since author Erika Wilde introduced The Players Club in book five of the Marriage Diaries (The Invitation) I have been waiting for this book and Playing With Temptation was well worth the wait. Provocative yet emotional this book packs a punch offering some seductively kinky sexy times mixed with just enough conflict and drama to make it interesting, but without taking away from the incredible romance that blossoms.
I love a strong and confident heroine and that is the image that Raina Beck shows to the world at large. Owner of a successful adult toy store and boutique, Raina is proud of the life she's built and the control she's taken in her life. Her personal life has been less than stellar so when a friend gives her an invitation to The Players Club, an exclusive sex club she decides to take a chance but she has no idea it will change her life in more ways than one.
There is something about a strong, confident, dominate man who isn't afraid to take on a strong woman or one that isn't afraid to admit he's got strong feelings and Logan Cruz was that and so much more. A retired Marine, a respected security agent, a dedicated brother and uncle, and a man who isn't afraid to help a woman discover all kinds of new things Logan's overwhelming control made him one very attractive man.
Meeting and being intimate at the Player's Club makes things very interesting when Logan is assigned to protect Raina when she is the target of a stalker. I enjoyed the fact that these two met in an unconventional way and that despite the events that followed they were able to get past them and move into more than a professional relationship. Raina has some baggage but what amazed me is that Logan wouldn't let her wallow in it; he accepted everything about her and in fact was drawn to her even more because of it. I flat out love the open communication between these two on all things and while they originally held some things back they eventually laid it all out there, discussed it and moved on. Logan impressed me with the way he knew exactly what Raina needed and was very skillful in helping her accept it by building a trust she'd never had with a partner before. While physically Raina was on board pretty quickly with everything Logan expected from her, it took her a little while to figure it out mentally.
As with this author's previous series, I appreciate the way these characters communicated, the adult way they handled their issues, and the no holds barred way they gave themselves to each other. Playing With Temptation is a stellar start to what is sure to become an outstanding series.

Meeting and being intimate at the Player's Club makes things very interesting when Logan is assigned to protect Raina when she is the target of a stalker. I enjoyed the fact that these two met in an unconventional way and that despite the events that followed they were able to get past them and move into more than a professional relationship. Raina has some baggage but what amazed me is that Logan wouldn't let her wallow in it; he accepted everything about her and in fact was drawn to her even more because of it. I flat out love the open communication between these two on all things and while they originally held some things back they eventually laid it all out there, discussed it and moved on. Logan impressed me with the way he knew exactly what Raina needed and was very skillful in helping her accept it by building a trust she'd never had with a partner before. While physically Raina was on board pretty quickly with everything Logan expected from her, it took her a little while to figure it out mentally.
As with this author's previous series, I appreciate the way these characters communicated, the adult way they handled their issues, and the no holds barred way they gave themselves to each other. Playing With Temptation is a stellar start to what is sure to become an outstanding series.

I really enjoyed this story. I picked it up on the recommendation of a friend and based on the synopsis thought it would be an interesting read. Right from the start Logan and Raina have an intense sexual chemistry. When Logan takes on the position of her bodyguard, it’s not long before he’s got her right where he wants her.
Logan comes across as a typical alpha male but with a sweet side to him and his concern for Raina is genuine. He is determined to find out who is threatening her, and to protect her from anyone who wishes her harm. Raina is a lovely woman, friendly, caring and with a damaged heart. She’s had trouble with relationships, mostly because the men she dates are either threatened by her sex shop or assume she’s easy. In her experience, as soon as a man wants to introduce her to his family, he wants her to end her career too, one that she is proud of having built from the ground up. But because of Logan’s sexual experience and membership at the Player’s Club, he isn’t intimidated at all by her shop and in fact is quite happy to do some shopping there himself, to entice Raina and show her that he’s up for any games she might want to play. Logan is determined to show her that he is strong enough to defend her and that he respects her career choice. The suspense plot, with someone threatening Raina at her home and her work, is fairly predictable (there aren’t a lot of possible suspects) but was well handled and comes to an action-packed conclusion. Combine that with the steamy interludes between Raina and Logan (plentiful and inventive) and you’ve got a very sexy romance with a satisfying happy ending. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series! 4.5 stars.

She wasn’t a petite woman by any stretch of the imagination, yet his height, the width of his broad shoulders, and his presence in general dwarfed even her. He tipped his head to the side, his eyes suddenly serious and very hot. The blast of heat – in his gaze and radiating off his body- was seductive and mesmerizing, as were his words when he murmured, “How do you feel about having me around?”
There was no denying the sudden shift between them, from discussing business one minute to him turning her comment into something far more personal and intimate the next. A wild, heated thrill flared through her, and she could feel her own traitorous body sway toward his, felt her nipples harden and her sex pulse in answer to his question.

Hot damn, right from the beginning we're heading to The Players Club for the first time with Raina. For a woman that owns her own adult pleasures shop this experience was completely new to her and so was Logan the hot sexy alpha male that perked her interest and gave her a forever lasting experience. Clearly someone has an interest in Raina but they don't want to reveal themselves just yet but have no problem making her feel uncomfortable with messages left behind. This book is so much more then just going to a sex club, were given mystery, suspense and of course sexy scenes. I thought I figured out who our mystery person was right away and was disappointed thinking the rest of the book was going to be predictable but I was completely wrong. I absolutely loved this story from the beginning to the very end, I didn't want to say goodbye to Logan and Raina. Loved loved loved. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

I LOVED both Raina and Logan throughout this great read! It was fast paced, mysterious and action packed, lots of hot sex with a very dominating alpha male and the storyline was great along with the secondary characters!!!!!!
I am looking forward to the next book in this series. From some reviews on GR, some people may be a bit turned off to the back story of Sawyer and Paige but I think there's a whole lot we may not really about their situation or at least I have high hopes that there may be something other than what everyone thinks! Either way, I can't wait to continue on with this series and all of these characters:)

I liked Raina and Logan. When they were together they could start a fire with how hot they were. It was some aspects of the story that I had a couple of eye roll moments with.

Raina is being stalked after her night at The Players Club, so it is assumed that that us where her stalker is coming from or where he saw her. I get the timing, and understand why that assumption is made, but I don't understand why:
1. The police weren't informed of this right from the beginning.
*Yes, she got a security expert to keep her safe (Logan), but they aren't the law.
*The police could have tried to dust for prints. It stands to reason that Raina may not be the first person to get unwanted attention from this person, plus it would have been public record.
and
2. Why she didn't disclose info about all men who she may have rebuffed in recent months (at least).
*I was willing to give this a pass, until I found out her the stalker was, and let's just say it ticked me off.

As a reader who loves her stories spicy, this book practically singed my fingers while reading it. With a crackling connection between its main couple, with a bit of danger to keep everyone on edge, I was fully engaged from the first page to the last. Juggling both steamy encounters with intense emotions has become a trademark of Ms. Wilde and is once again on display here. Along with a satisfying amount of steam comes issues of trust and overcoming past pain which are dealt with in a mature way to keep the story flowing beautifully. Add in a likable main couple and an entertaining cast of secondary characters and you end up with a promising start to a new series.
Raina is a strong and proud businesswoman tired of being labeled for owning an adult boutique. Too many times men have found her good enough to sleep with but not good enough to bring home. Being treated as a dirty little secret has her turning her back on love and relationships. For her, one night is enough as she now wants to be the one in control and the one to love 'em and leave 'em. A friend's invitation to a sex club turns her newfound plan upside down though as she meets an enigmatic man who understands her deepest desires and longs to give her exactly what she's long dreamed of. Like Cinderella, she leaves without giving him her name, never expecting to see him again. Fate has other plans however and when a stalker sets his sights on her the mystery man might be the only one to save her. He unsettles her though as he pushes her emotional boundaries and delves into her painful past. Raina's childhood was one of constant emotional upheaval with a mother too cowed to keep Raina safe which has Raina valuing control above all now. Men have left her untrusting of their motives and her heart firmly closed off, so it will take a very strong man to get her to open up.
Logan is just the man for the job though as he's strong-willed and confident, but with a caring and loyal side too. He was also burned by love in the past by those closest to him which has him doubting love as well. Until the night he sees Raina no woman has intrigued him for longer than one night, but seeing Raina has him wanting to take the time to discover all her different layers. He's not shy about what he enjoys in the bedroom and sees Raina as his perfect match. Their sexual connection is instantaneous as his sexy narrative to her upon meeting her made me melt. Luckily fate threw them together to allow him to connect with her on a deeper emotional level that was full of push and pull as she didn't make it easy for him. Keeping her safe from a stalker is a 24-hour job which keeps them constantly together to show their ever evolving relationship that's thankfully not riddled with too much angst. There is LOTS of sexiness though which was both playful and erotic to keep it from becoming bland. Logan is ultimately a good book boyfriend....very alpha, but in a way that's sexy and supportive. He's encouraging of her to embrace those hidden desires she once found dirty and together they make love look dirty and fun.
The eroticism of this story is immensely satisfying as a basis for Raina and Logan growing closer and deepening their emotional connection. The stalker also brought them together but this part of the story wasn't dealt with as fully as I'd hoped. What should've been suspenseful was kept too much in the background to make much of an impact. With its two strong leads I was happy to see equally well-crafted secondary characters that were supportive with familial-like interactions that have me looking forward to seeing more of them in this series starter that left me completely tempted to read more.

I can't honestly tell you how long I waited for this book. Having read the earlier series that The Player's Club is spun-off from, The Marriage Diaries, I had planned for some to read about Raina, Logan and their tryst at the titular sex club. And, I have to say, it was hot enough to make the delay in reading it worthwhile.
Raina Beck is the proud owner of Sugar and Spice, an adult boutique, and yet, her personal life leaves more than a little to be desired. When her friend, Jillian gives her an invitation to indulge at The Player's Club, an exclusive sex club, she's prepared for a night of scintillating kink with a perfect stranger.
What she's not prepared for is Logan Cruz. Walking away after their encounter was hard, but when a stalker makes their presence known in her life, Raina finds herself once again face-to-face with Logan...and that their chemistry is just as strong as it was on their one hot night.
The Marriage Diaries was one of the first truly erotic series I read, and I will admit to having re-read the highlights a few times since I first one-clicked. Playing With Temptation didn't quite get to me the same way as the earlier books, but it was still a very, very sexy read. Probably too sexy for where I read it...an aeroplane. *gulp*
Raina and Logan sure knew how to burn up the sheets, making reading in public a touch awkward. I mean, who knows who was reading along with me on that plane? Eh, hopefully they enjoyed it as much as I did. The story that brought these two together -- Raina's stalker -- didn't intrigue me as much as the couple themselves. It felt a little bland for a mystery, but worked effectively in bringing the two together in a fun, believable kind of way. Likewise, their own conflict never truly troubled to me, but perhaps that just because their attraction was so great, it was difficult to image a scenario where happily ever after became happily never after.
There is more to come from Erika Wilde and The Player's Club, and I am willing to wait to see what comes next. I enjoyed the epilogue/setup for Paige and Sawyer's story and I fairly sure that it will, once again, be very hot and super sexy. I have to say this book needed so much more. The story itself did not keep me captivated.
The sex scenes were what saved this book for me. They were incredibly hot and for readers who are looking for just that, then this may be a book for you.
I like a book to have characters that have depth so they jump out at you, but I'm afraid to say that the personalities of these characters did not set themselves apart from each other. Raina and her friends had no quirks or traits to differentiate them and if I'm honest, Logan was just so perfect, he didn't interest me beyond his hot looks and body. He said all the right things and quite frankly, I just wanted him to have a flaw, something that made him seem real. It does mention Logans past, but I never got a sense that he was greatly affected by it.
The story itself features a stalker, who we don't get to discover until much later in the book, but I felt that this would have been a good opportunity to add some grit, however I seemed that for much of the story this wasn't even mentioned and more focus was placed on the fact that Raina had serious hang ups about the way people perceived her working in the Adult Toy industry, so much so I spent much of my time questioning my own sanity as I screamed "Get a grip woman, this is the 21st century."
Like I said, there were some great sex scenes and the book itself was well written, I just wanted more.

This story is very fast paced and takes place within 2 weeks, so it is chock full of all the goodies. I’m loving this series, and can’t wait to read all of them to find out of the other Player Club men hold a candle to Logan!

I absolutely freaking loved this book. Like I just really love the love story that we see. It’s sexy, it’s fun, it’s emotional and it’s real! It deals with topics like mental health, domestic violence, sexual assault and rape, and feelings of being unworthy or having low self esteem, so please keep that in mind, as there is definitely a trigger warning for those topics.
However, this is a story that I just fell in love with instantly. I loved the chemistry between Raina and Logan, and I absolutely loved how patient and kind but also super dominant and sexy Logan is. He is essentially the full package. And he’s also kinky, so there’s that. I also was kinda sorta picturing him as a young Hugh Jackman and my god. What a sexy sight, am I right?
I also really love Raina’s character so much. She goes through so much development over the course of the book! She actually should be an example for what strong female characters can be, in my opinion. It’s not always about being kickass physically and killing people and shit. She is strong and independent because of what she has gone through. And she still has a way to go because that is how it works. You get better day to day, and I honestly am just so proud of her for doing that!
I am not going into the details, but I just wanted to issue yet another trigger warning for sexual assault, rape, and attempted rape in this book. It is very explicit, very terrifying and upsetting and it will definitely trigger you if you aren’t in a good place. Stay away from this book if you are still healing.
But overall, I really enjoyed this book, and I definitely want to read more from Erika Wilde!

This wasn’t a book about a D/s relationship. It was a book about a Dom who was attracted to a woman because she was strong and then did everything he could to push her into a submissive role for the “challenge” and the boost to his own ego.

“Infinity..”
Wow. Just wow. This story just blew me away! It’s been awhile since I have read a bruting alpha with a heart of gold. Logan and Raine were so hot together. I mean, words won’t do it justice. You felt their chemistry from the start and knew it was going to be a wild ride.
Both of their stories were so raw and heartbreaking and to see them get together and put their pieces back together was just the perfect ending to their story.
