Eli has been 'Turned'. The Maiden is the enemy. All thought to be known is no longer what it seems.
Rhona has been freed from her life debt to the Trinity, but the weight of her new path bears down heavy upon her heart and mind. Eli, her Eli, was bitten by a Lycan and has defected their group, running away from Rhona, Roman and the others across the Fallow and to the Continent beyond. Rhona finds her heart and mind warring with each other, as a darkness begins to embed and poison her. Asta sees the coming change in her friend, but struggles with her own inner turmoil as she comes to terms with the loss of the Crone, her grandmother. As her understanding of her heritage grows she begins to suspect there are changes happening throughout her friends and within herself. Rhona, Asta, Finian, Roman and Jax begin their new path into the cryptic history of the Fallow and the legacy of Falin and the Fallen Sisters, as they encounter the witches council, and other new and strange creatures of the now vast Continent.
They messed with the wrong witch!! Now, we must rescue her. Omg, the quests, mysteries, and answered questions. Beautifully written Kept my attention the whole time. A fine balance of world building and plot Some spice Witches Lycan
Wow. Just wow. This book delivers everything you'd hope for in a sequel and more! The character development for the inner circle, as well as the FML and MMC, was perfect.
The plot was an absolute rollercoaster, packed with twists and turns that had me gasping and flipping pages well past midnight. Every revelation felt earned, and the pacing kept me completely hooked. The author does a brilliant job of weaving together tension, intrigue, and emotional stakes.
And that ending—ugh, perfection! One of my favourite tropes, executed beautifully, featuring a mute character who steals the show in the most unforgettable way. I can't stop thinking about it.
I loved A Path of Claws and Shadows and cannot wait for Book 3. If you're looking for a story with rich character arcs, a gripping plot, and moments that stay with you long after you've finished, this is it. Highly recommended!
This series has me in a choke hold. Marnie’s use of words and descriptions are always so poetic and detailed you become immersed into the world that is the fallow. We follow along as the characters grow and change from the younger, more sheltered individuals they were at the start of the first book, to the people they have had to become to survive this new world. Fast paced and highly emotional, this series deserves to be hyped to the max!
